(A/N): Ok I know it's confusing for some people to sort out all the characters, but don't worry I'll soon make an OC chapter like I did in "High School?" And I forgot to mention the creators of the OCs and I'll do that when I introduce everyone. Enjoy chapter 2!

Between periods a white hedgehog with a mixture of white and gray quills stood at her locker. She had a braid on the side of her head and bangs that slightly covered her right eye. Her eyes were gray and she had a white muzzle, but the most distinctive feature was that her hands were robotic. She was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt with a black, A-line pleated skirt. She wore gray leggings with black combat boots that were folded over exposing a suede black lining. Her name was Lilac and she was the daughter of James and Nikki.

"Hey R2D2!" A tiger yelled out and she chose to ignore him and kept her back to him. He walked over and shoved her shoulder making her spill her books. "Got a hard time hearing now, Megatron? Do you need to get mechanical ears now too? Maybe the robotics team can hook you up." He laughed. He was suddenly slammed into the locker before sliding down the locker.

"Back off!" A red hedgehog shouted. The tiger ran off and the hedgehog turned towards Lilac. He had quills that were pushed back and hair on the top his head, but it was sticking out underneath a gray baseball cap. His eyes were an icy blue and currently staring at Lilac with concern. He was wearing a blue, green, and white flannel that was buttoned-up over a white t-shirt and the sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. He had dark jeans on with a red belt and red, high-top Converse.

"Are you okay, Lilac?" He asked and she smiled softly.

"I'm fine, thanks Roddy." She told him and he smiled at her. Roddy the Hedgehog, son of Sonic and Rebecca and also their oldest child.

"No problem, Doll." Roddy told her and she blushed lightly. He always called her that. Roddy awkwardly scratched the back of his head before clearing his throat. "Uh, I'll see you later, okay?" He said.

"Okay." Lilac spoke quietly before he smiled gently and walked away. She turned around and was startled when she saw her friend, Liecy, standing there. Liecy was a hybrid of a squirrel and cat, with a dominant appearance of squirrel with the face and tail, but cat ears. She had brown fur and long, gently curled hair with light pink eyes. She was wearing a pink, sundress with a chambray button-up over it. It was unbuttoned and the sleeves were rolled up and she had tan sandals on her feet. She was smiling brightly at Lilac making her sigh.

"He totally likes you!" Liecy squealed and Lilac frowned. Liecy was a senior while Lilac and Roddy were juniors. She was also the daughter of Jerry and Alchemy.

"I don't think he does Liecy." Lilac sighed as the two walked to their class.

"Oh c'mon! He totally does! He always hangs out with you, walks you home, and he just protected you from those jerks." Liecy exclaimed and Lilac shrugged her shoulders.

"He's just being a good friend." Lilac spoke softly.

"Right, sure." Liecy said with a wink and Lilac just sighed softly.

Some students had free periods where they were allowed to do what they want. This privilege was usually rewarded to seniors, but some juniors could also have a free period. One of these lucky few students, was Liecy's twin brother and second child of Jerry and Alchemy, Conner Mondair. Conner had a similar appearance as his sister, but he had squirrel ears and a cat tail and he was a darker brown than her. He had green hair that was scruffy and pushed up most of the time with green eyes. He was wearing a short-sleeved, white button-up over a gray t-shirt. He had on dark jeans on and black, low-top Converse on his feet. He was holding a video camera up to his face and was currently staring at it intently. He held it up to see if he had a good focus on the quad in front of him when suddenly someone jumped into the frame.

"Hi Conner!" The girl exclaimed startling Conner. She was a light lavender hedgehog with bright gold eyes. Her quills reached just past her shoulders and she had silver streaks through them. She was wearing a black satin top with a blue and white floral design on it. She had light blue jean shorts on with black sandals on her feet. She stared happily at Conner who frowned.

"God Amber! You scared the crap out of me!" Conner yelled and Amber just laughed. Amber was the middle child of Silver and Blaze and a sophomore in school.

"What are you doing? Filming again?" She asked sitting next to him and bringing her knees to her chest.

"What else do I do?" He smirked and she just rolled her eyes. Despite their age differences, Amber and Conner were close in a big brother/little sister way and even though they didn't spend all their time together, they still considered themselves best friends. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, who's that?" Conner asked as he zoomed in on Serenity who was talking to Julian.

"You really don't recognize her?" Amber asked as Conner looked at her confused. "That's Serenity. Shadow and Amy's oldest kid." Conner looked back at Serenity wide-eyed. He had only saw her a couple of times beforehand and those were in the beginning of high school. She was different. Very different. "You know she's captain of the soccer team and in student leadership with Julian?" Amber added. Conner could always rely on Amber to have the 411 on everyone here. He immediately got on his feet and began walking over to her before Tyler skidded to a stop in front of him.

"Hey Conner, what's up man?" Tyler asked as Ruby rolled up beside them.

"Nothing much, where's Onyx?" He asked him as he looked at Ruby.

"He doesn't have free period this period." Ruby told him with a shrug.

"Sucks," Conner commented and they both nodded. "Anyways, what's up?" He asked slowly his eyes flickering between them and Serenity behind them.

"Can you film me as I do this trick I just learned? I want to see if I have the proper form." Tyler asked. Conner became close with Tyler, Ruby, and Onyx when he offered to film their practices and tricks. He looked back at Serenity before sighing.

"Sure, let's go." He said as Tyler got his board and started to skate down the school with him and Ruby followed. Serenity watched them pass by and smiled.

"They always find time to skate, don't they?" She turned to Julian.

"Have you ever seen them without their boards?" Julian muttered as Serenity laughed. Suddenly Julian's phone went off and he rolled his eyes when he saw his brother's name on his phone. "What is it AJ?" He sighed. "What?" He asked slight irritated, but mostly confused. "You can't be serious…all right, all right, I'll talk to you later." He said hanging up his phone.

"What's going on?" Serenity asked confused.

"Apparently there might be something going on with my sister and your brother." He muttered softly as he typed away on his phone.

"Aw…that's so cute!" She cooed as Julian glared at her. "Oh! I mean it's wrong. Totally wrong!" She said holding back her laughter. Julian rolled his eyes and huffed. She thought of something and looked at him putting her hands on her hips. "Wait a second, what's wrong with my brother?" She said as Julian eyes widened.

"Uh…nothing. I just don't want my sister dating so young." He mumbled as Serenity rolled her eyes.

"Like you're one to talk! You're the ladies' man of the school!" She exclaimed as Julian tried to hide his smile, but failed. She rolled her eyes as they continued to walk down the school.

Tsunami was walking to class next to a her friend and eldest kid of Silver and Blaze, Topaz. She was a pale peach hedgehog with gold eyes similar to her sister and parents. Her quills fell down her back and she had bangs that were swept to the side of her forehead. She was wearing a white tank top with a chiffon, peach floral kimono over it. She had dark skinny jeans on with black and brown sandals.

"I can't believe I have Chemistry with the most arrogant and annoying boy on the planet!" Tsunami huffed.

"Technically he's a panther." Topaz said and Tsunami looked at her annoyed. "I'm just saying."

"Whatever Topaz." Tsunami said rolling her eyes.

"Speak of the devil." Topaz laughed as Lazarus made his way towards Tsunami.

"Would you mind if I walk you to our next class?" He asked her with a cocky smirk.

"In matter of fact I do mind. I'll see you at lunch, Topaz." Tsunami told her friend before walking away, but Lazarus was quick to follow her.

"So how was your summer?" He asked casually trying to make conversation.

"I told you not to talk to me." Tsunami glared at him, turning the corner sharply.

"Come on Tusi." Lazarus pleaded.

"Does there seem to be a problem here, Lazarus?" A voice said coming behind both of them. They both turned around to see a dark blue hedgehog with black markings on his quills and body. He had deep purple eyes that were currently aimed at Lazarus. He was wearing a quarter-sleeved, black Henley shirt with dark gray jeans and black and blue high-top Nike's.

"Hey Hydro." Lazarus smiled over at the hedgehog trying to hide his disappointment and anxiety.

"So Lazarus, are you bugging my sister again?" Hydro asked slowly as he got into Lazarus' face.

"Yes." Tsunami said answering for him. Hydro briefly looked at his younger sister, but snapped his gaze back to Lazarus.

"I was just walking to my next class which she happens to be in." Lazarus said innocently as Tsunami rolled her eyes. Hydro glared at him and raised his hands towards Lazarus. He shot water out of them that Lazarus dodged very quickly, but eventually when he landed from that dodge he was slammed into the lockers by another blast of water. Hydro slowly approached him and grabbed the back of his neck and brought him close to his face.

"Don't. Mess. With. My. Little. Sister." Hydro hissed before dropping Lazarus back onto the floor. He walked off as Tsunami looked at Lazarus feeling a little guilty for letting her brother threaten him like that. However, she walked away quickly before he had a chance to get back up and to her class. Lazarus shook his head, shaking all the water off him, and he sighed when the late bell went off. He quickly walked into his class and the teacher scowled at him.

"Nice for you to join us, Lazarus." The teacher said as Lazarus smiled. "Please take a seat with Tsunami." He said pointing to her. Her eyes widened as he sat down next to her. He smiled over at her and while she found him terribly annoying, she still feel slightly guilty for what Hydro did.

"Are you okay?" Tsunami asked softly as the teacher began his lesson. He raised an eyebrow in surprise as he faced her.

"Yeah I'm fine. Don't worry, I know how protective brothers can be." Lazarus said comforting her slightly. She smiled halfheartedly as they turned to focus on class. Next door was AP Chemistry and Roddy was standing over a burner with a beaker on it. He couldn't believe the teacher was making them do work on the first day of school.

"When are you going to ask her out?" Andrew, Roddy's friend and Elijah and Nicole's son, asked. He was a squirrel and wolf hybrid with wolf ears and face and a squirrel tail. His fur was light brown and his eyes were a steely gray. He was wearing a dark teal hoodie with a dark gray t-shirt underneath, he had the hoodie zipped up to his chest and had it open to show his shirt. He was wearing khaki pants with red Vans.

"When I know if she likes me back. I told you this last year Andrew!" Roddy said looking at his friend slightly annoyed.

"I'm just saying. You always talk about her and you spend most of your classes day dreaming about her." Andrew said putting his hands in the air.

"I don't spend all my time thinking about her! Not her face with her beautiful gray eyes and soft quills and—" He started to daydream and Andrew rolled his eyes before he noticed Roddy pouring the wrong chemical into their solution.

"Don't pour that—" Andrew started to yell, but it was too late. The chemical mixture started to foam over the beaker and table creating a giant mess that caused the teacher to glare at them. "Don't think about her all the time, huh?" Andrew asked sarcastically as they tried to stop the over-flowing mixture. Roddy rolled his eyes as the teacher came over to help. Lunch finally rolled in and everybody was relieved to be free of their first few classes. AJ and Lazarus were waiting in the lunch line catching up with each other about their days.

"So Hydro knocked you into the lockers and said to stay away from Tsunami?" AJ asked grabbing an apple.

"Yup, what is it with overprotective older brothers?" Lazarus muttered grabbing some pudding.

"It's boys like you that really set us off." He said as Lazarus rolled his eyes. "So are you going to stay away from her now?"

"Nope." He said with a popping noise.

"What about Hydro?" AJ asked confused.

"He'll have to get over it eventually." Lazarus said with a smirk as AJ rolled his eyes. A red hedgehog approached them with bright green eyes. His quills were a mixture of black and red and he had some hanging over his face. He was wearing a red and black plaid shirt over a black t-shirt. He had black jeans on with black combat boots that were tied loosely and hanging around his ankles. He had a silver dog tag around his neck and grabbed a tray to stand with AJ and Lazarus.

"Hey Derek." AJ greeted his friend. Derek was a senior unlike Lazarus and AJ who were sophomores. Derek was also the oldest and only son of James and Nikki.

"Hey, I heard you got into a fight." Derek said nodding his head towards Lazarus.

"Wow, word spreads fast. It was just a little something between Hydro and I." Lazarus said flicking his hand in the air like it meant nothing.

"When are you going to stop bugging her?" Derek asked. His voice was deep and monotone so it seemed like he was saying everything very emotionlessly.

"Only the future will tell." Lazarus said with a smirk as AJ and Derek looked at each other and shook their heads. Suzy was walking across the cafeteria with her lunch before she spotted her friend Ivy. Ivy was a light green hedgehog with dark green eyes and long quills that fell a little past her collarbone. She had on a gray, short-sleeved shirt with a high-waisted, flared white skirt on. She had on gray, woman Vans and a silver necklace with a heart at the end hanging around her neck.

"Hey Suzy!" Ivy called out before she could get to the table. Ivy, like Suzy, was also a freshmen and the youngest child and daughter of Sonic and Rebecca.

"Hey Ivy." Suzy said sitting next to her friend. "Where's Nicole?" She asked looking around.

"She's walking over here now!" Ivy said pointing behind her. A light blue wolf and squirrel was walking towards them. She had wolf ears and a squirrel similar to her younger brother, Andrew. Her eyes were gold and her hair was light blue and fell just below her shoulders. She had a purple, chiffon tank top on with black skinny jeans and black ankle boots. Despite her being a senior, she had a soft spot for Suzy and Ivy since she knew them since they were kids. "Hi Nicole!" Ivy exclaimed.

"My, my, are we energetic today?" She asked as Ivy giggled.

"Aren't I always?" She said as Nicole rolled her eyes playfully.

"Anyways what is this I hear about you and Shade?" Nicole asking looking at Suzy.

"Nothing." She said looking down at her food.

"Don't give me that! If it was nothing, why would AJ come to me and tell me to keep an eye on you?" She said putting her hands on her hips.

"He did what?" She exclaimed snapping her head up. Before Nicole could say anything, Suzy jumped up from her seat and started marching her way to her brother's table. "What makes you think you can interfere with my life?" She shouted slamming her hands against the table and glaring at AJ. Lazarus tried to hold back some laughter as Derek smirked at AJ's surprised face.

"I'm your older brother! I have to protect you!" He said standing up from his seat and glaring at his sister.

"I'm not five anymore Aaron! I can take care of myself!" Suzy said pointing her finger into his chest.

"No you can't! You don't know Shade like I do!" He said as some people started to stare.

"You don't know him at all! You just saw me walking with him and now automatically, you hate him! There's nothing wrong with him!" She snapped back as Nicole and Ivy walked over.

"I'm not the only one! Julian knows and I bet Dad won't be too happy to know either!" AJ snapped.

"I can't believe you're freaking out because I was just walking with a boy! He's not even my boyfriend!" She yelled at him. Julian approached his younger siblings and quickly tried to diffuse the situation before they got in trouble.

"Okay let's talk about this outside." Julian said pushing them outside.

"No!" Suzy yelled pushing Julian's hands off of her. "First, you two have no right to pry into my personal life. Secondly, he was just walking me to the office, and thirdly you two need to open your eyes and see that I can handle myself!" Suzy snapped at both of them. She stormed off with Nicole and Ivy following after her.

"Wow, you guys really fucked up." Lazarus said as AJ and Julian glared at him. Outside of the cafeteria, Knuckles and Rouge's oldest child, their son Brice, was waiting for his friends to show up. Brice was almost a carbon copy of Knuckles except his fur was white, he had small fangs that didn't stick out of his mouth unlike his brother, and he had his mother's bright blue eyes. He was wearing a red hoodie that was unzipped with a navy t-shirt underneath. He had dark brown pants on with white Converse. He also had giant, digging gloves just like his dad.

"Finally!" Brice exclaimed when he saw his teammates from the football team come over. Brice was about the only kid from the original group that didn't really hang around with any of the other kids. He talks to them and is plenty friendly to them, but he most just hangs around his teammates. Brice watched his friends enter the cafeteria when Suzy blazed past them on the verge of tears. He looked at her confused before shrugging his shoulders and turning to enter the cafeteria. However, he immediately rammed into someone.

"I'm sorry." Nicole said looking up at him. Brice was stunned stupid at how beautiful this girl was and before he could even form a sentence she was gone down the hallway and he was left staring after her.

"Yo Brice, you coming?" One of his friends asked. Brice cleared his throat before telling him that he'd be there soon. He looked back in the direction she had ran off and thought to himself, maybe it was time to get reacquainted with the kids.

The bell rang signaling that lunch was over and it was time for everyone to head to their next classes. Hydro was sitting in his music/choir class waiting for it to start. The school was forced to combine the two classes seeing how there were many students who wanted to practice their craft with instruments, but a lot of them didn't want to join the marching band that happened to be the only other class you were allowed to play instruments in. Hydro was quick to place himself at the piano that was off to the side of class.

"Welcome back class! I see many new faces and many familiar ones. Let's get started by seeing the new students' talents. First up…Emily Rivers!" The teacher announced excitedly. Since Hydro wasn't new to the class he knew he didn't have to perform for the rest, but that also meant he had to sit through everyone else singing or playing an instrument. He also knew that Emily Rivers was the daughter of two of his parents' rivals back in high school. He knew little of her, but of what he did know, she didn't seem like her parents at all. Rather she was a shy and quiet girl. When she was done the teacher began calling up other people. Some people played instruments and some sang. Hydro was really starting to get bored. "Next up Lauren Romaro." The teacher said as Lauren walked up to the class.

'Romaro? Where have I heard that? Oh! One of Dad's friends…must be his daughter.' Hydro thought to himself as he leaned against the piano.

'And you're right. My Dad and your Dad are like best friends.' Lauren said as Hydro sat up straight and looked at her. She didn't make eye contact with him, instead she faced the class. She began to sing and everyone—including Hydro—were pleasantly surprised. When she finished everybody stood up and clapped.

'Not bad.' He thought directly to her. She smiled and sat down. The class continued on with more students performing and Hydro couldn't be more thankful for the bell ringing. As everyone began to pack their stuff and head out to their next classes, Hydro made a B-line towards Lauren.

"So…mind reader, huh?" He asked as she turned around and smiled at him.

"Yup and I'm guessing you have the power over water." She said as he smirked.

"Good guess. How'd you know?" He asked sarcastically as she rolled her eyes.

"Static's son right?" She asked as he nodded. "My Dad told me a lot of stories about him and his other friends back in their senior year." She told him and he smiled.

"Let me guess, you heard of their infamous prank wars?" He muttered making her laugh.

"Yeah and my Dad told me that she smoked your Dad's group." She said smiling.

"She wishes, my Dad creamed everybody." Hydro said as Lauren rolled her eyes.

"No you wish." She said smirking as he looked down at her.

"Hydro let's go!" Roddy called out as he waited by the door with Andrew.

"I'll see you later, Romaro." Hydro smirked and Lauren smirked right back.

"Yes you will, Storm." She grinned repeating the way he spoke to her. Hydro chuckled before grabbing his bag and joining his friends.

"What was that?" Andrew asked.

"What was what?" Hydro asked acting oblivious.

"You were totally flirting with Lauren Romaro, man!" Roddy exclaimed as the three of them walked down the hallway.

"I wasn't flirting with her. We were just talking about our powers and parents." Hydro shrugged while Andrew and Roddy shared a look before laughing.

"Oh please you two were totally flirting!" Andrew laughed.

"If you two girls are done gossiping, can we please head to Power Practice?" Hydro quipped only making Roddy and Andrew laugh harder. Hydro simply rolled his eyes and the three of them walked into the boys' locker room.
