Lilac shyly followed Liecy into the party and tried to not get knocked down by all the people crowding around them.
"I don't even know why I'm here." Lilac mumbled and Liecy rolled her eyes. She stopped and turned around to face Lilac and put her hands on her shoulders.
"You need to loosen up and have a little fun. One party is not going to kill you." Liecy told her before they walked outside. Roddy was talking to Hydro when he spotted Lilac walk into the backyard.
"Oh God she's here! What do I say?" Roddy exclaimed as he grabbed Hydro's shirt.
"First off, let go of my shirt!" Hydro told him and Roddy let go and dusted him off. "Just go over to talk to her." He said pushing Roddy's hands off of him.
"What if she gets bored? What if she doesn't like me? What if she thinks I'm so weirdo and the reason she went to the dance with me was because of pure pity?" Roddy panicked as he paced in front of Hydro. Hydro rolled his eyes before slapping him across the face and putting his hands on his shoulders.
"Calm down. She likes you, trust me." Hydro said before he turned Roddy around and pushed him towards Lilac. Roddy stumbled over and turned around to glare at Hydro who only smirked at him. Roddy straightened out his clothes before taking a deep breath and walking over to Lilac.
"Hey Doll." Roddy smiled.
"Hi Roddy." Lilac said fiddling with her fingers shyly. There was a moment of awkward silence between them until Roddy finally said something.
"Would you like to dance?" He asked as Lilac looked up and nodded. Roddy smiled as he took her hand and led her to the dance floor outside. Thanks to the potheads, no one really knew how the get the dance music back on. The party was starting to slow down a bit anyways so everybody kind of shrugged it off. Roddy place his hands on her hips and she slowly placed her arms around his neck. "You look beautiful tonight." Roddy told Lilac making her blush.
"Thank you." She said as Roddy smiled. Roddy looked down at Lilac and she blushed at how close their faces were. Roddy took a deep breath before slowly leaning in. Lilac lifted her head and closed her eyes as Roddy closed his.
'I'm going to do it! I'm going to do it!' Roddy kept chanting in his head. He pressed his lips gently to hers and she tightened her arms around his neck. They deepened their kiss slowly before they broke apart for air. Roddy looked down at her before resting his forehead against hers.
"So…I'm guessing you like me back." Roddy smiled as Lilac laughed and nodded. She rested her head on his chest as they continued to dance. The house was on a lake and Lauren and Shade were currently walking over to the small dock. They laughed as some guy drunkenly rapped in front of his friends who were cheering him on. Shade suddenly froze before slapping his hands over his face.
"Oh crap! I almost forgot!" Shade exclaimed.
"What?" Lauren asked before Shade took off running. Lauren shrugged her shoulders and walked back towards the house in hopes she'd find Chrissy. Instead she found a familiar hedgehog. "Well, well, well. Look who we have here." Lauren smirked as she approached Hydro.
"A devilishly handsome hedgehog? Yes, I know." Hydro quipped as Lauren rolled her eyes. The DJ finally regained control over his station and started to blast a dance track with a seductive beat. People cheered and quickly swarmed the dance floor again.
"Want to dance?" Hydro asked over the music. Lauren smiled and nodded as Hydro led her to the dance floor. They started dancing facing each other, but Lauren turned around and started to move her hips against Hydro. Hydro smirked and followed her every move and she tossed her hand behind her and wrapped it around his neck. Shade walked back into the house when he heard the change in music with Shawn following him. They both spotted Lauren dancing on Hydro and Shawn gagged.
"I think I'm going to be sick." Shawn muttered before running out of the house. Shade laughed and followed Shawn out. Unfortunately Shawn ran into something else he didn't want to see. He saw Ruby sitting in Jared's lap while he peppered her with light kisses. His heart broke a little and then all he could see was red. Shade luckily came before Shawn could charge over there.
"Shawn c'mon! It's not worth it!" Shade shouted holding him back and Shawn sighed and walked over to get another drink. "It's going to be all right, man." Shade told him putting his hand on his shoulder.
"No it's not! I saw it in my fucking vision! She's going to continue to date him and I'm nowhere in her future." Shawn exclaimed before huffing and storming out of the party. Shade sighed and was about to go after him when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Why hello cutie." A light blue fox with purple eyes said. Shade slid her arm off, uncomfortable by her sudden contact with him.
"Uh…I got to go." Shade mumbled before she started to crack up. He narrowed his eyes and got a closer look on her. "Suzy?" Shade asked as Suzy changed back to her original form.
"Good guess." She smiled as Shade sighed in relief.
"Don't do that to me." Shade said as Suzy laughed again.
"Suzy!" Julian called out. Suzy sighed in annoyance as her brother came over to her. "What are you doing here? With him?" Julian asked pointing to Shade.
"What's your big problem with Shade anyways? He's Serenity's brother and you perfectly know there's nothing wrong with him!" She told him and put her hands on her hips. Julian looked over at Shade and sighed as he pulled Suzy away a little bit so Shade couldn't hear him.
"You really like him, don't you?" Julian whispered to her as Suzy blushed.
"Maybe." She said shyly. Julian sighed again and smiled at his sister.
"Just don't do anything bad, okay?" He told her and Suzy smiled before hugging him.
"Thank you!" She said and he smiled while patting her back.
"Just keep a lookout for AJ." Julian warned as Suzy rolled her eyes. Suzy walked back to Shade as Julian walked the other way.
"He's finally realized that I'm old enough to take care of myself." Suzy told him and Shade laughed. Suzy smiled at him before spotting Hailey walking out of the house. "Hailey! Where have you been?" Suzy called out as Hailey shrugged.
"I was on the phone down the street." Hailey explained as Suzy rolled her eyes.
"Let me guess talking—"Suzy was cut off when a creamy yellow wolf with black eyes appeared and wrapped his arms around Hailey's waist. He was wearing a forest green button-up over a white t-shirt and black jeans. He had on white Converse and had two gold piercings on his left ear.
"To me?" The wolf asked making Hailey and Suzy's mouths dropped.
"Lorgo!" They both gasped as Shade's eyes widened in realization.
"The one and only." He smirked. Hailey turned around and hugged him while he smiled and hugged back.
"We were on the phone for an hour and you couldn't tell me you were coming?" Hailey asked and Lorgo chuckled.
"I couldn't ruin the surprise!" He told her and she smiled happily. Suzy grabbed Shade's hand and was going to pull him away so Lorgo and Hailey could be alone, but Bolt suddenly appeared with Chrissy by his side.
"What's up, Lorgo?" Bolt asked narrowing his eyes.
"Uh…hey Bolt." He mumbled.
"I didn't know you were coming back." He raised an eyebrow and Hailey rolled her eyes.
"I was planning on it to be a surprise." Lorgo shrugged not even the tiniest bit intimidated by Bolt. Bolt glared at him as Lorgo remained cool and collected. Bolt raised an eyebrow as he looked at Chrissy who smiled at him.
"I always liked you." Bolt told him before leaving with Chrissy. Lorgo couldn't help but smile a little bit. He just got the older brother approval and Hailey sighed in relief.
"I don't see why you were worried. I was always on Bolt's good side." Lorgo smirked. Hailey pulled Lorgo on to the dance floor. Hailey started to grind against Lorgo as he put his arms in front of her and moved with her. Bolt came back planning to dance with Chrissy, but he stopped when he saw Hailey.
"AH! MY EYES! IT BURNS!" Bolt yelled as he covered his eyes and fell on his knees. Chrissy snickered as she pulled Bolt away from the "traumatic" scene. After two more songs, Lorgo took Hailey's hand and pulled her out of the party and onto the sidewalk where it was a little quieter.
"What are we doing here?" Hailey asked looking up at Lorgo.
"I wanted to get away from the noise." He told her simply. Hailey shrugged her shoulders as they walked down the street, further away from the party. After some distance Lorgo started to hold her hand making her smile. "I got to ask you something." Lorgo said turning to face her.
"Yes?" Hailey raised her eyebrow.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked and her jaw dropped. "You don't have to say yes. I mean I know it's hard to have a long distance relationship and going to two different schools. You might even like an—"Lorgo was cut off by Hailey's lips. His eyes grew wide with shock, but he slowly closed them and wrapped his arms around her. Hailey pulled away with a smile on her face.
"I would love to be your girlfriend." She said giving him one last peck on the lips. Lorgo smiled as he held her hand and walked back into the party. Ruby was having fun with her new boyfriend Jared in the house when she saw Shawn storming out of the party.
"I'll be right back, babe." Ruby said kissing Jared lightly on the lips.
"Don't be too long." Jared smirked as Ruby walked off. She caught up with Shawn outside and yelled his name.
"Shawn!" She yelled but he didn't hear her. She rolled her eyes as she flew up in the sky and landed in front of him. "Where's the fire?" She asked as Shawn looked down at her.
"I'm just tired of this party." Shawn mumbled as Ruby put her hands on her hips.
"Are you mad?" She asked.
"No." He frowned.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure this," She said pointing to her face as she imitated his face. "Isn't mad." She said as Shawn sighed.
"I just need to get away from here." He said walking passed her and towards his car. Ruby frowned as she watched him drive away. Jared approached her and wrapped his arms around her and she turned to see him smiling.
"I missed you." Jared said kissing her cheek. Ruby smiled weakly before she walked back to the party with him. Before they got inside Jared felt his phone ring. He stopped and looked at the caller ID.
"Hey, I'll be there in a minute, my Mom's calling." Jared said as Ruby nodded and walked into the party. Jared walked out to the sidewalk and answered his phone. "Uh huh…everything is going exactly as planned." Jared smirked. Brice was now outside and he finally found Nicole talking to Topaz. He took a deep breath and made a B-line straight towards her.
"Hey Nicole." Brice greeted and Topaz quickly took that as her cue to leave.
"Hi Brice." Nicole smiled.
"How did you do on the Zoology quiz?" He asked as she smiled.
"I got a 100 percent!" She told him excitedly.
"That's good, you did better then me." He chuckled.
"What did you get?" She asked and he shrugged his shoulders.
"I got a 94." He told her and her eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't expect Brice to be good at school, especially in subjects like Science and Math. "I know you're shocked. I get that reputation of being the idiot jock, but I actually really like science." He grinned and Nicole smiled back.
"What's your favorite?" She asked.
"Biology, it's too bad that I already took both classes offered at the school. This was the next thing that interested me." He explained. Suddenly the song changed from fast pace to smooth and slow. The potheads were at it again. "Would you like to dance?" Brice asked looking at her.
"I'd love to." She said as they walked out to the dance floor. Nicole wrapped her arms around his neck as he carefully put his hand on her sides. He learned from Rouge how to respect a woman and he didn't want to mess it up. He looked down at her gorgeous golden eyes that sparkled under the party lights. Nicole blushed at the way he was looking at her and looked down at her feet.
"I've been thinking…" Brice began to say as Nicole looked back up at him.
"About what?" Nicole asked.
"My girlfriend and I." He said as Nicole's face dropped.
"Oh." She said facing the other way and slowly pulling away, but his hold on her just tightened.
"Yup. You might know her. She's a light blue squirrel, but with a wolf tail. She has amazing golden eyes and a sparklingly smile that could stop you in your tracks." Nicole looked up to him and smiled.
"This girlfriend wouldn't happen to be me?" She asked as Brice smiled.
"That's your decision." He said as Nicole pondered it for a moment to freak him out.
"I think your girlfriend sounds pretty cool." She smiled before reaching up and kissing him lightly. Brice smiled when she pulled away and kissed her forehead
"Yeah she's amazing." Brice said with a bright smile on his face. Back inside the house Ginger was seating on Derek's lap on the couch as they talked. She felt her phone vibrate against her leg and saw that it was her mom calling. She stepped out of the house while Derek followed her to the sidewalk where it wasn't as loud.
"Hello? Mom?" Ginger answered pressing her hand against her other ear to hear better. She heard crying on the other line and she started to get worried.
"Ginger?" Luna asked quietly into the phone and Ginger's stomach dropped at the sound of Luna crying.
"Mom? What's wrong?" She asked.
"I-It's Shawn."
