AJ was on top of Amber as they watched everybody ran out of the classrooms, flooding the halls in panic in search for the nearest exit. AJ got back on his feet and pulled Amber up before pulling her away from the mayhem.
"Are you okay?" He asked her with his arms still around her.
"Yeah." She told him. "C'mon, we got to get out of here!" Amber told him. The halls were a little cleared up now and they started running for the exit. They turned a corner and ran into Flash, Bolt, and Lazarus who seemed to be investigating the situation.
"Guys, have you found anything?" AJ asked and everybody shook their heads. Suddenly Lazarus grabbed everybody and pulled them to the ground. They all looked up as they saw four blades hit the lockers behind them. They got up and Razor standing there.
"Guys get out of here." Lazarus told them seriously as they all ran off in different directions. Lazarus stood up and faced the smirking hedgehog. "What are you doing here, Razor?" Lazarus asked glaring at him.
"Causing chaos as usual." He answered casually walking closer to him. Lazarus snarled at him and he just laughed. "Still trying to act tough I see." He said now standing three feet away from Lazarus.
"Where's the gun?" He asked as Razor pulled out three blades and held them in between his fingers.
"You're looking at the wrong person. I never fired that gun, but I do have a little surprise for you." He said as a flash of black appeared and Tsunami appeared in front of Razor.
"Laza—"She was cut off when Razor grabbed her and put the blades by her neck. Tsunami lifted her hand to blast him with water, but a voice came behind them.
"I wouldn't try that if I were you, sweetheart." Will said as Tsunami's eyes widened and Lazarus cursed under his breath.
'Fuck my Life! I have my old rival threatening to kill my girlfriend and the guy who's completely obsessed with my girlfriend stopping both of our powers. I'm screwed!' Lazarus thought as he looked at the situation in front of him. He tried to think of a way to get out of this and quickly. Suddenly a light bulb went off in his head and he looked at Tsunami whose eyes were filled with fear. She looked at him and saw the plan forming in is mind. He looked at her and nudged his head a little and she understood his plan. She elbowed Razor in the stomach making him let go of her and grabbed one of his blades and threw it at Will cutting his arm. Lazarus knew he had his powers back and quickly ran to Razor and Will grabbing them and running around in a small circle. It soon started to create a small twister and Lazarus jumped out of it letting them spin around before they were flung into the lockers. Tsunami stepped up and shocked them, knocking them unconscious before freezing them to the wall.
"C'mon!" Tsunami exclaimed as she and Lazarus started to run the other direction. "Good plan." She told him as they ran down the hall.
"Well, that wasn't my plan exactly. My original plan was that you elbow Razor and then turn around and flash Will to distract him, but your idea was good." Lazarus said as Tsunami rolled her eyes. AJ was running down the hall having lost everybody else and was just trying to find someone. He saw Shade looking at a slashed up locker and AJ sighed in relief.
"Shade!" AJ called out as Shade turned around. AJ had no idea that Shade and Suzy were dating and so technically he had no problem with it…yet.
"AJ, what's going on?" He asked as AJ reached him.
"Good question." A voice said from down the hall. AJ and Shade got into fighting stances immediately only to see Damian leaning against a locker. "But yet there's no answer. For you anyway." He said facing them now.
"Who the fuck are you?" AJ snapped at him and he simply chuckled.
"Damian Rivers if that answers your question." He said as he cocked his head. His bangs moved for a second and you could completely see his burn around his eye. AJ tensed up when he noticed. "And yes I'm Amber's ex and son of your father's rival." Damian said pointing to Shade. Shade and AJ glared at him and he just smirked.
"What are you doing here?" Shade asked as Damian started to walk towards them.
"Learning." He said simply as Shade glared at him. Shade charged him and Damian disappeared in a flash of black. Shade turned around and saw him smirking.
"You have chaos powers?" He gasped as Damian laughed.
"Good to know that you're smart." Damian sneered.
"You're a fucking asshole! You almost raped a girl!" He yelled as Damian laughed darkly.
"Defensive over a girl who hates your guts. Nice." He said as he paced around the two hedgehogs. "She was fucking asked for it, but then she decided to be a prude and burn that shit out of my eye. If you ask me, she fucking deserved it." He scowled. Amber, having found her sister, had been looking for exit when she heard the sound of Damian's voice. She stopped Topaz and pressed them against the wall and listened in on what they were saying.
"You deserved that shit being done to you! If it was me, believe me you'd be lucky to even be alive." AJ growled and Amber gasped surprised that he was there. Damian heard her and a black energy formed around his hand and suddenly Amber knees buckled. Involuntarily she started to crawl towards Damian from her spot behind the wall. She tried to resist as much as she can, but it didn't work. Topaz tried to stop her, but she was flung backwards into the lockers. Once she was close to Damian, she was forced back onto her feet and Damian gripped her chin in his hand.
"They always come crawling back." He smirked and AJ's fists began to shake.
"Let. Her. Go." He gritted out.
"Hmm? What's the answer I'm looking for? Oh! No!" He exclaimed before AJ tackled him to the ground. Damian pushed him off with his legs and AJ skidded backwards on his feet. He started throwing rocks at Damian and he managed to dodge a few, but it was enough of a distraction that his hold on Amber was gone. Amber's hands became surrounded with fire, but Topaz stopped her and ran her out of the hall.
"We have to help!" Amber exclaimed.
"No! He's going to use you to get to AJ again and maybe even hurt you! AJ and Shade can handle him." Topaz told her firmly as they continued to run away. Shade saw and opening for him to attack and charged forward.
"Chaos Spiral!" Shade yelled as he wound up in a small tornado with chaos energy swirling around him. He charged Damian and he went flying into a row of lockers. AJ stomped a hole into the ground before Damian could hit the ground and he fell into it. AJ sealed the hole and Shade grabbed his shoulder.
"Let's go!" He exclaimed before they ran down the hall. AJ was worried about Amber and where she was and if she was okay, but he knew Topaz would take good care of her.
Bolt was running down the halls having ditched the fight between Lazarus and Razor. He skidded to a stop when he saw Shawn and Jared fighting each other. Seeing them made him think that they were all up to this, but he couldn't figure out why.
'Is this rivalry day or something?' Bolt thought before he ran and tackled Jared. He quickly froze his body to the ground and flipped off of him. Jared struggled against the ice, but made zero leeway.
"You'll pay for this Solari!" Jared shouted and Bolt rolled his eyes while Shawn walked up to him.
"That was too easy." Bolt told Shawn. Blades suddenly whirled passed them and they turned around to see Razor standing at the end of the hallway tossing his throwing knives up and down.
"How the hell did you escape?" Bolt asked having passed by his unconscious body frozen against a wall only a few moments ago.
"Chaos powers. Damian's not the only one with them and he probably has escaped from his little trap." Razor said as Bolt glared at him. Razor didn't bother with the dramatic dialogue and attacked Shawn and Bolt right away. He sent several blades at them and they managed the dodge all of them and started to run. Shawn turned his head and noticed that the blades were following them.
"Shit! They're heat seeking." Shawn said as he and Bolt continued to run. They slid down the hall and quickly got up and continued running. They past by Will and flipped him off while continuing to run.
"Grab my arm!" Bolt said as Shawn grabbed on to his arm. Bolt took off full speed down the hall, but the blades gained speed as well. Bolt made as sharp turn and ran right into his cousin and girlfriend.
"What was tha—"Flash started to ask, but Bolt quickly cut him off.
"Run!" Bolt shouted as he grabbed Shawn and started running. Flash looked confused, but Ivy grabbed his arm when she saw the blades coming. Flash's eyes widened and he quickly put Ivy in his arms and started running. He caught up with Bolt and looked at him panicked.
"What are we going to do?" He asked as they ran through the school. Bolt tried to think and came up with a good idea. He skidded to a stop and Flash soon followed.
"Copy what I do!" Bolt instructed as he saw the blades headed for him. He shot some down with his electrical powers. Flash put Ivy down and started to help Bolt with shooting the blades down. Flash missed one and it hit him in the arm. Ivy quickly ran to him once all the blades were shot down.
"Here let me see." She said putting her hands over it and quickly healing it.
"Thanks." He said kissing her on the cheek.
"Yes, yes, you love each other…can we go now and find the others before Razor shows up again?" Shawn exclaimed as Flash rolled his eyes. He picked up Ivy and Shawn grabbed on to Bolt's arm as they ran down the hall to find everyone—anyone else. Conner and Julian were walking down the halls trying to figure out what exactly was going on. Well…Julian was, Conner wanted to leave.
"Why do we have to find out where the gunshots came from? I don't even understand why we're having a lockdown. We're a school full of super powered teens, what's a bullet going to do to us?" Conner whispered as Julian shushed him.
"I think I hear someone coming." Julian said looking at the next hall. Suddenly Conner felt himself being lifted in the air and his air supply being cut off. He started choking and Julian spun around. "Walters." Julian sneered as John smirked.
"Nice to see you too, Hedgehog." John said as Julian's pupils started glow. With a flick of his wrist he sent John flying against the lockers forcing him to let go of Conner. Conner gasped for air as he quickly stood up. Conner's pupils turned a bright green as he took a chunk out of the floor and raised it over John.
"Who's in charge of this?" Julian asked as John stared at the rock floating above him.
"I'll never tell you." He sneered as Julian shrugged his shoulders.
"Fine, have it your way." Julian said as Conner dropped the rock on him.
"No way!" They heard AJ say. They turned around and saw him with Shade. Julian looked at Shade, surprised to see him with his younger brother, but Shade quickly shook his head and made slashing motion across his neck. Julian nodded quickly and Shade sighed in relief. While Julian knew that Suzy was dating Shade, AJ obviously didn't.
"What do you mean 'no way'"? Conner asked walking towards them.
"How did you beat him so fast?" AJ asked as Julian smirked.
"Ah young grasshopper, one day, you shall learn too." Julian said and AJ rolled his eyes. Conner turned around and noticed the rock split in two. His eyes widened and his mind went straight to Serenity.
"We got to find Serenity!" He shouted and he started to run down the hall. Shade, Julian, and AJ soon followed him.
"Don't worry so much! I know my sister and she can protect herself." Shade told him.
"I know, but I can't help to worry!" He said taking a sharp turn into the main hallway. He stopped when he noticed the entire hall destroyed. The rest of the guys soon caught up and were as surprised as Conner was.
"Okay the hall's destroyed and that's pretty crazy, but we have no time for this." Julian said jumping over the jagged openings on the floor. Conner, Shade, and AJ all followed him and once they landed on solid ground they took off running. Tyler was outside of the school with Onyx skating, trying to search the place for anything suspicious.
"Onyx!" Topaz yelled with Amber behind her as Onyx skidded to a stop.
"What's going on?" He asked as he looked at his panicked girlfriend and her sister.
"Damian is here and I don't think he's alone." She told him.
"What? What's going on now?" He asked getting back on his skateboard.
"I'm not sure. We left when AJ and Shade were fighting Damian." Topaz said. Tyler sighed as he put Amber on his back.
"Let's go check this out." He said as he started skating. Onyx did the same for Topaz and they both skated into the school. They skated down the halls wondering where everybody was. Suddenly they saw two figures fighting. Tyler and Onyx skidded to a stop and saw that it was Serenity and John.
"Serenity!" Tyler called out as she dodged a punch from John. She swung her leg underneath John's and he fell to the ground. "What's going on?" Tyler asked as Serenity stomped on John's throat.
"That's what I'm trying to get from this bastard!" She said pressing her foot against his throat.
"No need to be violent, babe." He wheezed and she pressed down harder making him choke.
"Tell us what's going on!" Amber shouted at him, her hands engulfed in flames.
"Or what? Going to burn me like Damian?" He coughed out as Amber glared at him.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Tyler said lifting him up by the collar of his shirt and smashing him against a locker.
"I go to school here." He muttered sarcastically as Tyler smashed him into the lockers again. "You know violence won't work on me." He said as Tyler smirked.
"Fine." He said smashing him against the locker making sure that his head hit it. He was out cold and Tyler opened the locker stuffing him in there. Onyx came and punched the locker sending vibrations through the whole locker.
"Serenity!" Conner called out as Julian, Shade, and AJ followed behind him.
"Conner!" Serenity said as she jumped into his arms. "What's going on with this school?" She asked pulling away slightly to look at his face.
"I'm not sure exactly, but I'm thinking it has to do with everybody that hates us." Conner said.
"Well, then what about Allie?" Amber asked as AJ scoffed.
"Allie is too stupid to do anything." He said as Shade rolled his eyes.
"Where's Suzy?" He exclaimed and AJ looked over at him suspiciously.
"Why do you care?" He asked. Julian smacked his forehead as Shade looked at AJ nervously.
"Um…you know…she's your sister and you and Julian don't seem to be worried and someone has to be." He explained before nervously laughing.
"Oh…well I'm sure she's fine." AJ said waving his hand dismissively.
"We'll split up and find the others and meet in the parking lot." Onyx said as everybody started to search. Renegade was walking down the halls casually, clearly not afraid, but being new to school has led him to be lost trying to look for the exit.
'Where's the damn exit in this school?' He thought to himself. He was wandering the halls at his normal pace when he heard someone running behind him. He turned and saw Alana running in a full sprint. He looked around her and saw blades flying towards her with Razor chasing after her. He had to protect her. Alana ran passed him, but he stopped her by grabbing her wrist. He raised his hand in the air and the blades stopped as they clanged against the floor. Razor stopped and glared at Renegade.
"Who are you?" He asked as Renegade put his hand down.
"I should be asking you the same thing." He said in his usual monotone voice.
"Razor, and I'm guessing that chick hiding behind you, is your girlfriend." Razor said as Renegade's stare harden.
"My name is Renegade and no she's not my girlfriend." He said as Razor smirked.
"Well, you may be the first person to have stopped my blades." He mused pulling three out. "Let's test it again." He said throwing them at him. Renegade quickly stopped them in their tracks. He moved his hand toward Razor and Razor suddenly felt weak. He fell to the ground gasping for air, but not receiving any. His veins were popping out of his arms and his eyes were dilated and wide. Renegade let him collapse to the ground unconscious and started walking the other direction with Alana following him.
"Um…Thanks." She told him nervously as her eyes turned a hint of pink.
"No problem." He said as he glanced at her.
"If you don't mind me asking, but what is your power exactly?" She asked rubbing her arm. Renegade sighed as he continued walking.
"It's a little hard to explain. I can suck the energy out of something or someone. I sucked the energy propelling the blades and I sucked the energy from Razor." He said as Alana nodded. "What's your power?" He asked as she looked up and found him staring at her. She blushed and her eyes turned pink.
"You probably notice that my eyes change color. They change with my emotions and I can manipulate emotions." She explained.
"Interesting." He murmured as they walked out of the school, having found an exit. He bid her a farewell and she thanked him once more for helping him. Renegade turned around and watched her walk away and smiled softly. Derek was walking down the halls checking every room trying to find Ginger. He entered what seemed to be a biology lab and felt like something was off.
"Stanson! Nice for you to join." Joseph said jumping down from seemingly nowhere.
"Garret." Derek scowled.
"The one and only." Joseph smirked as Derek glared at him.
"This was all you're doing, wasn't it?" Derek asked his eyes turning blue and Joseph chuckled.
"Please, you're too kind." He said bowing. Derek tackled him and froze him to the ground, but Joseph quickly broke free. "Your little ice powers just aren't good enough." He told him while flipping onto one of the tables.
Derek jumped onto one of the lab tables before diving and tackling Joseph onto the ground. He was kicked off, but quickly got on his feet and dodging a punch that was aimed for him. Derek formed an ice shield that was attached on his arm and blocked another blow from Joseph before pushing back and knocking Joseph onto his ass. He shifted the shield into several crystals and fired them at Joseph. Joseph kicked a table down and hid behind it, letting all the crystals hit the table. He quickly jumped over the table and landed a kick on his chest sending Derek staggering back a few steps. Derek reached over and grabbed a beaker with some clear liquid and threw it Joseph's face.
"You son of a bitch!" Joseph growled as his eyes and face burned. Derek kicked him back against the wall and formed an ice glove over his hand. He punched Joseph's nose and blood burst from it before socking him in the head knocking him unconscious. Joseph slumped onto the ground and the door burst open to reveal Serenity, Conner, Tyler, Onyx, Shade, AJ, and Julian.
"Dude…" Tyler said looking over at Joseph's unconscious form. "Kickass!" He exclaimed raising his hand for a high-five. Derek rolled his eyes, but high-fived him anyway.
"Ginger's outside of the school, just to let you know." Serenity told him and he nodded appreciatively.
"He was behind this somehow." Derek said and they all sighed.
"It wasn't just him. Everybody who hates us basically went after us." Conner told him and Derek frowned. He looked down at Joseph and his eyes narrowed. What the hell was going on?
Everybody made it out of the school and Ginger relieved to finally see Derek. After everything was said and done and nobody was hurt, they all returned to their separate homes. Bolt, having just got his license, drove with Chrissy to her house. They walked into the kitchen to see Tails and surprisingly Spark there and they both smiled over to them.
"How was school, guys?" Tails asked as Chrissy and Bolt looked at each other.
"You know, same old same old." Bolt muttered as he sat next to his father.
Downtown, in an empty warehouse Damian, Joseph, Jared, Razor, and Will were sitting at a table nursing their injuries and egos. Even though John had attacked Serenity and Conner, he wasn't a part of the group they were in. They were hoping that he'd be useful and knock at least of them out of the picture, but apparently he was a failure. A feminine sigh could be heard and all the guys rolled their eyes.
"You've all failed me." The female said as they all hung their heads.
"We're sorry. We'll do better next time." Joseph told her.
"Obviously you can't do it alone. I see it's time for me to get involved." The figure sighed. She was an orange hedgehog with long and curly quills. Her eyes were a mix of navy and green and her smile was down right devious. "We'll show those little brats what's good for." She smirked.
