With the Talent Show over and Spring Break weeks away, everyone was slugging around the school because nothing exciting was planned for awhile. Everybody was currently in class, but were unaware to two figures sneaking around the air vents.
"We're in." Damian said into his phone before hanging it up and putting it back in his pocket. "Are they all in class?" Damian asked Razor as they shuffled through the air vents.
"Yes." Razor nodded.
"Let's go." Damian said kicking one of the latches open and dropping down into the hallway. Razor followed him and dusted himself off.
"Hey! What are you two—"
The teacher didn't get a chance to finish his sentence because Razor whirled around and shot a blade into his chest. The teacher clutched his chest before falling forward and dropping onto the ground. Razor smirked before turning back towards Damian who rolled his eyes.
"Get in here, Jacob." Damian said into his phone. A dark blue fox suddenly appeared beside them with black sunglasses on his face. He had a sickening smirk on his face while he pulled a drag from the cigarette in his mouth.
"So where is he?" Jacob asked stomping out his cigarette. He lifted his sunglasses off of his face revealing black eyes with severe dark circles around his eyes. Damian cringed, but shook his head.
"Don't worry. You'll have him soon enough." Damian told him.
"Let's go." Razor said motioning his head down the hall. When they made it to the end of the hall, Razor punched the fire alarm sending sirens off all around the school. They jumped back into the air vents while students filled the hallway. Damian smirked when he saw their intended targets lag behind the rest of the students. Once the majority of the students were out, Razor and Jacob raced around the school locking all of the possible exits.
"What the hell?" AJ muttered as he tried to pull the doors open. Lazarus looked at it confused and peeked through the window to see the locks were on it. AJ sighed and pulled out his phone and called Amber. "Hey, are you out?"
"Yeah, where are you?" Amber asked standing by Tsunami.
"We're locked in." AJ said as Amber became confused.
"How did that happen?" Amber said as AJ sighed.
"I don't know. Lazarus and I are going to look for way out. I'll call you when we're out." AJ said as Lazarus looked around the empty halls.
"Okay, be safe." Amber mumbled. She was worried for him and had a gut feeling this wasn't just your average fire drill. AJ promised her he'd be safe and hung up his phone. He and Lazarus started roaming the halls looking for their way out when they ran into Renegade.
"You got locked in too?" Lazarus said as Renegade nodded.
"I've only been at this school for a couple of months, but is this whole getting locked in thing a normal occurrence?" Renegade muttered. This was the second time he was put into the situation and frankly, it was annoying.
"No, this is not a normal thing." Lazarus rolled his eyes.
"How did this even happen?" AJ asked when Alana suddenly ran to them hugging Renegade.
"I thought I was the only one." She said and Renegade hugged her back.
"Well, you're not." Hydro muttered as he walked over to them with Julian.
"We're in here too." Lauren sighed with Izzy behind her.
"Well, we need to find a way out of here. I think we should split up to find a way out." Lazarus suggested and everybody agreed.
"I call Alana!" Lauren exclaimed as Renegade sighed and Hydro frowned.
"I'm going to go by myself." Hydro said and Lauren looked at him concerned. "Don't worry I'll be okay." He told her placing a kiss on her forehead.
"I'll go with Lazarus." Renegade as Lazarus nodded.
"I'll go with Izzy." Julian smiled and sliding his way over to her while Izzy rolled her eyes.
"I guess I'll stick to myself." AJ muttered while Lazarus smirked.
"Because that's how it always is." Lazarus smirked moving his hand in a jerking motion.
"Shut up!" AJ glared shoving Lazarus before they all split up.
"Hey, I was wondering why you didn't go with Julian. I mean, it seems like you two are closer to each other than you and I." Lazarus asked.
"Because I knew he wanted to go with Izzy." Renegade shrugged and Lazarus chuckled. Everybody in the group found out quickly about Julian's rejection and now his unwavering determination to land Izzy.
"Do you know how the doors could've been locked?" Lazarus asked as Renegade shrugged his shoulders.
"Because I locked them." They whirled around at the sound of the voice and saw Razor standing there flicking a blade up and down in his hand.
"Razor." Lazarus growled. Razor smirked and looked over to Renegade waiting for a response.
"What? No reaction from you." Razor asked and Renegade rolled his eyes.
"What do you want me to say? 'Oh no it's Razor,' Because he's already established who you are." Renegade drawled sarcastically and Razor scowled at him.
"Well, no long speech to bore you guys today." Razor said casually as he picked out three blades and flinged them at Lazarus and Renegade. Lazarus ducked to the ground, while Renegade casually stepped to the side.
"Can I just end this?" Renegade asked Lazarus.
"He's all yours." Lazarus said as Renegade lifted his hand. Razor eyes popped open as he fell to the ground choking on nothing before passing out. Lazarus leaned over him before looking over to Renegade.
"Did you kill him?" Lazarus asked.
"Nah, just made him pass out. I don't know why he was choking because it's not like a strip his oxygen away." Renegade shrugged.
"He's always been a little overdramatic." Lazarus muttered. Razor started to stir a little and Renegade was about to make him pass out again, but Lazarus stopped him. "Go tell everybody that he's here and probably the others." He told Renegade who nodded and ran down the hall. Lazarus picked up Razor and smashed him against a locker waking him up. "What are you doing here Razor?" He growled and Razor smirked.
"I have a score to settle." He said.
"What's between us is done. It was done when we were thirteen and it's done now." Lazarus gritted out.
"You can't stand here and tell me you're over what I did." Razor smirked.
"Of course I'm not over it! I'm over with dealing with you!" Lazarus yelled as he slammed Razor into the locker once more before walking away.
"What if I brought your little girlfriend into this?" Razor asked as Lazarus stopped dead in his tracks.
"What did you just say?" Lazarus asked glaring at Razor. Razor let out a dark chuckle as he lifted his hand in the air.
"You see its quiet simple." He said as black energy formed over his hand before a cloud of it floated over him. The cloud started to show Tsunami smiling. Suddenly a hand came over her hand and more hands and she couldn't fight her way through.
"No!" Lazarus shouted as he tackled Razor back into the lockers. "You sick bastard! What did you do to her?" He yelled smashing him repeatedly into the lockers.
"Oh I didn't do anything. Not yet anyways." Razor smirked.
"What do you want?" Lazarus asked lowly.
"You dead." He shrugged like he just asked for a quarter.
"You want me dead? You're the one that fucked up my life!" Lazarus exclaimed.
"You're still upset because I killed your little Nana? She was old Lazarus. She was bound to die anytime soon." Razor waved dismissively. Lazarus growled and wrapped his hands around Lazarus before he started choking him.
"She was only 65! She was the only family I had! And you took her away from me!" Lazarus screamed into his face as his grip tightened around Razor's neck. "You fucking killed her and you expect me not to kill you right here? Right now?" He yelled and smashed Razor's head into the locker causing him to go a little light-headed. Razor felt blood trickle down his head and choked against Lazarus' hold on his neck. Renegade suddenly tackled Lazarus to the ground while simultaneously draining Razor's energy again. Hydro ran over and shoved an unconscious Razor into a locker before running up to Lazarus and Renegade.
"Lazarus calm the fuck down!" Renegade shouted shaking Lazarus by his shirt while Lazarus panted angrily. "You almost killed him! Just look at the locker!" He exclaimed as he pointed to the very bloody locker. "Just think what Tsunami would've said if she saw you like this!" He said and Lazarus froze. He shook his head and sighed before pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I'm sorry." Lazarus murmured regaining his composure.
"It's fine. C'mon, let's go." Hydro told him before they all got up and walked out of that hallway. AJ was walking down another hall looking for an exit when he saw familiar figure leaning against a locker.
"Well, well, well, isn't it little Aaron Jesse?" Damian smirked and AJ glared at him. "I heard you got with that little whore." He shrugged and AJ charged him.
"Take that back!" He gritted out and Damian just laughed.
"Make me." He smirked and AJ grabbed him by the shoulders and threw him against a row of lockers. Damian laughed again as he got back on his feet and dusted himself off. "Is that all you do? I call your girlfriend a whore and you shove me?" He asked condescendingly. AJ's eyes began to glow and he stomped on the floor bringing up several rocks around him. He started to throw them at Damian, but Damian was able to swiftly dodge them. AJ growled and slammed his foot on the ground again and a giant boulder popped out. AJ threw the boulder at Damian and saw as it hit him and smashed him against some lockers. However, Damian appeared in front of AJ in a black flash, smirked. Damian grabbed one of AJ's arms and twisted it making AJ hiss in pain.
"Let me tell you something, Aaron. Sometimes things just don't work out for the 'good guy.' And in your case, it doesn't." Damian grinned before using his other hand to grab AJ by the neck. He raised him of the ground while AJ struggled against his grip. AJ scowled and swung his leg directly into Damian's groin making him drop AJ and fall to the ground in a fetal position. AJ began to pelt him with rocks again while he laid on the ground. Damian slowly started to lose consciousness and AJ grabbed him before slamming him into a locker.
"Don't ever call my girlfriend a whore." He growled before kneeing him in the groin again. AJ let Damian fall to ground in pain and threw a rock at his head knocking him unconscious. AJ dusted himself off before walking away from the scene casually. Lauren and Alana were walking down a hallway when Lauren noticed a figure trying to hide behind a row of lockers. She rolled her eyes and made Alana stop walking.
"You make it so obvious." Lauren said crossing her arms and Alana turned to see Allie step out from her hiding spot.
"I do not!" Allie whined and Alana just stared at her wide-eyed.
'Is she really that stupid?' Alana thought.
"Yes, yes she is." Lauren answered as Alana shook her head and laughed lightly.
"Shut up!" Allie screeched as Lauren put her hands on her hips.
"Or what? You'll make my ears bleed with your voice?" Lauren asked as Allie screamed and tackled Lauren to the ground. Lauren was quick to kick her off and into some lockers. Allie screeched again and charged after Lauren, but Lauren got back onto her feet quickly. She blocked Allie's hits and punched her straight in the nose making blood gush out.
"Oo, I think you need a new nose." Lauren smirked and Alana laughed. Allie glared at Alana for laughing and tackled her. Allie started to rain down punches on her, but Alana managed to push her eyes off. Her eyes turned a murky dark blue and Allie yawned before passing out against the ground.
"Did you just make her fall asleep?" Lauren asked.
"Yeah, well, it seemed like the best way to make her stop." Alana shrugged.
"Well, that was easy." Lauren shrugged as Alana and her started to walk down the halls again. Hydro was by himself again walking down the halls looking for some way out. Suddenly he felt a familiar presence behind him and he stopped in his tracks.
"What are you doing here Jacob?" He asked turning around to face the smirking fox.
"The usual." Jacob shrugged as Hydro glared at him. "You know what I want from you." He said as he stood in front of Hydro.
"Me dead? That's not going to happen." Hydro told him and Jacob smirked.
"Today it is." Jacob growled before charging Hydro. Hydro hit the locker with Jacob's elbow digging into his chest. Hydro blasted him off with water, but Jacob landed on his feet and ran at super speed towards him. Jacob landed a punch on his jaw and Hydro went skidding down the hallway. Hydro got back on his feet and they both ran towards each other as fast as they could. Before they could collide Jacob weaved out of the way and kicked Hydro in the back. Hydro stood up and punched Jacob in the face before he could reach him. Jacob stumbled back into a row of lockers and Hydro started to punch him rapidly in the face and stomach. Jacob managed to slip away and swung his foot underneath Hydro making him trip. He stomped his foot on Hydro's back and scowled.
"You know what Hydro? It really makes me laugh thinking back to a time where we were actually friends." Jacob chuckled.
"It wasn't my fault that you became an addict." Hydro struggled against his hold and Jacob scowled. He pulled out a blade he had stolen from Razor and fired it towards Hydro's face. It cut his face on the side of his forehead and through his eyebrow. Hydro hissed as the blade clanked against the floor. That's going to scar.
"Shut up! You sat and watched as I ruined my own life! You didn't even try to help!" Jacob yelled angrily.
"Yes, I did! You wouldn't fucking listen to me!" He yelled back and blasted Jacob off of him and sending him flying back into a wall.
"You're going to pay for that Storm." Jacob growled before charging him. He grabbed Hydro by the collar of his shirt and started him smashing him against the walls and lockers. Hydro could feel his cuff becoming loose against his wrist and fought against Jacob's hold harder. If it weren't for that cuff he would have gone Dark by now and he can't afford that happening to him. Jacob seemed to notice that Hydro was distracted and saw that he was constantly looking at the stupid cuff he was wearing. If the cuff was so special to him, he was going to destroy it. Jacob threw Hydro against a locker and ripped the leather cuff off of his wrist.
"No!" Hydro shouted before dropping to his knees and holding his head in pain. A navy blue glow surrounded him and Jacob watched with sick satisfaction. Similar to Flash, Hydro's fur and quills became disheveled and slightly darker. "No!" He growled before standing up and opening his eyes to reveal glowing black eyes.
"Time for a real challenge." Jacob smirked as he cracked his neck. In a blink of an eye, Hydro tackled Jacob and smashed him against a locker. He began to beat on him mercilessly instilling some fear into Jacob. Jacob managed to stop one of his fists and kicked Hydro off of him. Jacob swung his leg up to kick him in the face, but Hydro caught his foot before it could hit him. He swung Jacob around before throwing him against the wall. Jacob landed on his knees and hands and coughed up some blood. Hydro lifted his hand and shot a blast of water at Jacob. Jacob was thrown against the locker by the water and started to drown with the constant barrage of water hitting him. Hydro stopped and Jacob collapsed on the ground sputtering and gasping. He walked over to him slowly and pulled his head up by his hair.
"You'll be the one who pays." Hydro spat menacingly, his voice deeper and almost unrecognizable.
"Fuck off." Jacob growled weakly. Hydro slammed him against the locker and used his newfound ability of blood control to stop Jacob's blood from flowing inside his body. Jacob gasped as his heart tried to pump his blood that wasn't coming. "S-Stop!" Jacob pleaded as he began choking and Hydro's glare on him just hardened.
"Hydro?" Lauren gasped. Hydro whirled around to see Lauren, Alana, and Renegade all in shock at the sight in front of him. Renegade moved himself in front of the girls because he knew Hydro wasn't exactly rational right now.
"Alana, try to clam him down." Renegade whispered and Alana immediately sent a cocktail of calming emotions towards Hydro. Hydro gripped his head before falling to his knees and yelling out in pain. John collapsed onto the ground unconscious, but still breathing. Alana grabbed onto Renegade, afraid of what she might have trigged while Renegade held Lauren back from running to Hydro. They watched as the dark energy around him vanished as he returned to normal
"Hydro!" Lauren shouted escaping Renegade's hold and sliding onto the floor next to Hydro. Blood was trailing down his face from the cut on his eyes and he was panting.
"I almost killed him. I really almost killed him." Hydro murmured shaking his head.
"You weren't you, Hydro. That wasn't you." Lauren told him and Hydro pinched his eyes closed.
"But it is." He muttered and Lauren wrapped her arms around him.
"It's fine. You're fine. Let's just get out of here." Lauren whispered to him. They all eventually escaped the school and the police went to investigate what happened. They didn't find any signs of Damian, Allie, or Razor—even his blood was gone from the lockers. Jacob was also gone and the group had assumed that Damian and Razor picked him up. Static and Midnight came to pick up Hydro and Lauren went with them to help Hydro through this difficult time along with Renegade. Alana found herself not having any real placed to go so she went to find Izzy who was still being followed by Julian.
"Hey Izzy." Alana smiled and Izzy looked relieved.
"Hey Alana. Do you want to come to my house?" She asked quickly.
"Sure." Alana shrugged and Izzy smiled before turning around and facing Julian.
"Bye-bye." She said patting his head and leaving.
Izzy's P.O.V
Shit, shit, shit! Now, I've really done it. If Julian wouldn't have kept following me, I wouldn't have invited Alana over to get rid of him. Oh God, what is she going to say? It's too late for me to suggest something else. I really hope Dad takes care of him until Alana leaves. We arrived at my house and Alana smiled.
"Your house is so nice. It looks like a little cottage." Alana said and I smiled.
"Thanks." I said as I opened the door and rushed both of us up the stairs. Alana looked at me confused, but I didn't stop explain myself.
"Izzy?" Dad's voice called out. Oh shit!
"Uh, yeah it's me. I have a guest over." I said hoping he'll get the hint.
"Izzy come down now! He's been crying for you all day." Dad demanded.
"Shouldn't we go see what's wrong?" Alana asked and I sighed. I walked back down the stairs and my Dad had his hands on his hips. When he saw Alana he smiled and stuck out his hand.
"Hello, I'm Izzy's father, Jeff." He introduced himself as he shook Alana's hand. I tried to make my way to the kitchen inconspicuously, but that didn't happen. Alana walked in front of me and stopped when she saw a light brown hedgehog with brown eyes. He had streaks of tears down his cheeks and looked over to me.
"Momma!" He yelled and jumped into my arms while Alana stared at me shocked. I'm screwed.
