Alana stared at Izzy wide-eyed as the three-year-old jumped into her arms and call her mom. Izzy was too busy smiling and swinging the little boy in her arms.

"I'm sorry I'm late, sweetheart. There was some trouble at school." Izzy told him when she placed him back on his feet. Even without her powers, Alana could see the love Izzy had for the little boy in her arms.

"Momma okay?" He asked.

"Yes, Momma is fine." She smiled while rubbing her nose against his making him giggle.

"Um, I don't want to sound rude, but do you care to explain?" Alana asked as Izzy smiled sheepishly.

"Alana this is my son, Luca. Luca say 'hi' to Momma's friend." Izzy said as she balanced him on the side of her hip. Luca hid his face in his mother's shoulder and Izzy laughed.

"Aw, there's no need to be shy." Alana smiled.

"My name is Luca." He told her, but it had that kid pronunciation when the L sounded like a W.

"Hi Luca! I'm Alana." Alana greeted.

"Sweetheart, why don't you go and bring us your favorite book?" Izzy asked as Luca smiled brightly.

"Okay!" He said excitedly as he jumped out of Izzy's arms and ran upstairs.

"Go ahead say it." Izzy muttered as she sat down at the kitchen table.

"Say what?" Alana asked sitting next to her.

"That you think I'm stupid and sleazy for getting knocked up." Izzy muttered.

"I don't think that. So you have a son. That doesn't make you stupid or sleazy. If you flirted shamelessly with any guy who comes your way and try to hide yourself in plain sight then yeah, you'd be those things. Like Allie." Alana said and Izzy laughed. "I just want to know though. How did this all come about?" She asked as Izzy sighed.

"When I was fifteen I had a boyfriend named Chris. He was my first love or so I thought. He told me one day, when he was trying to have sex with me, that if I really loved him I'll have sex with him." Izzy said as Alana raised an eyebrow.

"Well, if he really loved you then he would've waited." Alana said as Izzy sighed.

"I know that now. When I became pregnant with Luca I went to tell him, but he called me a whore and the child couldn't possibly be his. I told him that he was my first and only, but he didn't believe me and walked away. My mother was disappointed in me and kicked me out. I reconnected with my dad and he welcomed me with open arms. My parents divorced when I was little and my mother has kept me away from him ever since. He was there for me throughout everything and has been a great grandfather to Luca. When we moved here, he suggested I enroll at CMHS since I have powers and the rest you know." Izzy shrugged like it wasn't a big deal, but Alana was amazed how strong Izzy was to go through all that and raise a son on her own.

"That's the reason why I won't go out with Julian." Izzy told her and Alana raised her eyebrow.

"So, you do like Julian then." Alana smirked and Izzy blushed.

"No! I don't like him. I'm just saying if I did, I couldn't be with him." Izzy explained flustered and Alana chuckled.

"Sure…but I really don't think Julian will have a problem with it." Alana said.

"Momma! I didn't know which one to pick." Luca exclaimed running into the kitchen carrying four books.

"How about Alana reads them to you as Momma makes dinner?" Izzy suggested bending down to his level. He nodded his head excitedly as Alana picked up a book and started reading it. Izzy was making dinner and Alana was in the middle of the second book when they heard a doorbell ring.

"I'll get it!" Luca exclaimed as he jumped down from his spot on Alana's lap.

"No, no let Mommy get it." Izzy told him wiping her hands on a dish towel and Luca shrugged his shoulders. After today, she wasn't exactly comfortable letting Luca answer the door. Izzy walked over and opened the door only to see Julian standing there. Her heart started thumping against her chest as she tried to think of ways to get rid of Julian before he could see Luca. "How do you know where I live?" She asked suspiciously.

"I have my sources." Julian smirked and Izzy rolled her eyes.

"Yay!" Luca exclaimed and Izzy internally winced.

"Are you babysitting or something?" Julian asked.

"Yes!" Izzy exclaimed and Julian raised an eyebrow. "Um…yeah I'm babysitting my baby cousin." She smiled hoping he'd buy it and leave.

"I want to see him! I'm great with kids!" Julian smiled excitedly.

"You? Good with kids? I doubt it." Izzy muttered and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Are you kidding me? I'm amazing with kids. Besides AJ and Suzy, I have three little siblings and they all love me." Julian told her.

"Who that?" Luca asked peeking his head from behind Izzy's legs. Julian looked down to see the little boy looking up and him and his heart melted. Yeah, that's right, Julian had a soft spot for kids, but he didn't exactly advertise it because that didn't help with his image. He knelt down and smiled at Luca.

"Hi! I'm Julian, what's your name?" Julian introduced himself enthusiastically and Luca smiled brightly. Izzy was surprised to see this because usually Luca is shy around strangers, but he seemed happy to see Julian. Izzy picked Luca up and held him onto her hip.

"Okay that's enough. Luca why don't you go back to the kitchen?" Izzy said and Luca pouted.

"No! I want Julie!" Luca whined and Alana snorted from her spot in the kitchen while Julian winced at the name. "Momma I want Julie!" He demanded and Julian stared at him wide-eyed.

"Bye!" Izzy said quickly before shutting the door on Julian's face.

'Did he—Did he just call he momma?' Julian yelled inside his head as he walked to his car robotically. Julian paused in front of his car before frowning and running back to Izzy's door. He knocked on it again, but this time Alana answered it.

"Let me see her." Julian demanded. He didn't care if he had to shove Alana out of his way or break a window in, he was going to talk to her. He wasn't about to lose her because she decided to freak out. He liked her too much just to give up now.

'Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! This can't be possible! I'm Julian the Hedgehog! Player extraordinaire. I meet a girl and know her for a few weeks and I'm already falling for her! It should be the other way around!' Julian thought as Alana looked at him confused. She could feel his emotions and they were confusing to say the least. Alana sighed, knowing that Izzy would kill her for this, but she opened the door wider to let Julian in. Julian walked in and into the kitchen to see Izzy putting food on Luca's plate. She froze when she saw Julian standing there in the doorway.

"Julian I told you—"

"I know, but just let me say what I need to say." Julian said cutting Izzy off. Izzy sighed and put down the serving spoon she was holding. Alana swooped in and picked up Luca before sending him some calm waves before he could throw a tantrum. She went upstairs with Luca to distract him with some toys while Izzy and Julian talked.

"Well…are you going to ask or not?" Izzy asked crossing her arms.

"He's your son, isn't he?" Julian asked.

"Yes and I know what you're going to say. You're just going to call me stupid or easy for getting knocked up at 15." Izzy huffed and Julian looked at her confused.

"You're calling yourself easy when standing right in front of you is a player?" Julian asked as Izzy laughed a bit. "And you're far from stupid. You were smart enough to stay away from me." Julian joked and Izzy looked up at him while tears started to well up in her eyes.

"Please, you're way better than me. Why would someone like you want someone like me? I don't even deserve you." She muttered before turning away from him to not let him see her getting emotional. Julian stepped towards her, but stopped himself from touching her. She let him get this far and he didn't want to screw it up.

"You're right you don't deserve me. You deserve better than me." Julian whispered and Izzy turned around to face him with tears down her cheeks. "You shouldn't be with me. I'm a guy who takes advantage of women every chance he gets. I don't do relationships and honestly, I'm just a stereotypical womanizing jock. And I'm willing to bet that was the kind of guy the father of your kid was like." He said and Izzy nodded. "You don't need to go through that again." He told her wiping the tears away from her face.

"You want to be with me, but then you don't? I don't understand." Izzy muttered and Julian sighed.

"I want to be with you, believe me. But I'm not because I…care for you more and I don't want to see you get hurt because of me." Julian said as Izzy looked up at him. They stood like that for what seemed like hours until Julian dropped his hand. "Uh, I think I should go." He said quietly pulling away from Izzy. Izzy walked with him to the door and Julian smiled at her softly.

"Bye." Izzy said softly.

"Bye." Julian said as Izzy closed the door slowly.

"I can't believe you!" Alana exclaimed from the bottom of the stairs startling Izzy.

"What?" She asked.

"Don't play all innocence with me. How could you just let Julian leave like that? After everything he said to you! You let him leave? I was all the way upstairs and I could feel the love radiate off him! Why are you two like this?" Alana ranted throwing her arms up in frustration.

"Jeez, overdramatic much?" Izzy muttered as Alana rolled her eyes. "Why are you so mad?" She asked.

"Just wait." Alana said ominously and Izzy just shook her head before heading back upstairs to get Luca. The next day at school everybody was either talking about the free day they had yesterday because of the fire alarm or the Valentine's Day Dance this Friday.

Julian was walking with Conner and Renegade through the halls. It was lunch and Conner and Renegade were waiting for Julian to get his keys so they could go off campus. Seniors were allowed to go off campus for lunch and Conner and Julian were sneaking Renegade off. They didn't go off that often because they happened to like the cafeteria food, plus it was free for them.

"Hey Julian." A red mongoose smiled flirtatiously.

"Oh, hey Jackie." Julian muttered as he continued to search his locker.

"So…Julian. Got a date for the Valentine's Day dance?" Jackie asked and Julian shrugged.

"I don't think I'm going this year." He told her as Jackie and Conner's mouths dropped. Renegade just smirked as he leaned against the lockers.

"O-Oh, okay then." She said before walking away.

"Found them!" Julian smiled as he pulled his keys out from his locker. He looked to see Conner staring at him in shock and Renegade smirking. "What?" He asked.

"You're not going to the Valentine's Day Dance?" Conner asked.

"Yeah." He shrugged.

"Oh, I see what you're going to do. You're going to go on a big date with some girl, right?" Conner asked as they headed to Julian's car.

"No, I think I'm going to babysit Alex, Juliana, and Alena. Give my parents the night off so they can go on a date." Julian explained as they got into his car.

"You got to be shitting me!" Conner exclaimed as Renegade pushed him out of the passenger's seat and into the back seat.

"Nah, I don't feel like doing anything this year." Julian shrugged as he began driving.

"What happened to you?" Conner shouted staring at Julian wide-eyed. Renegade just laughed as Julian rolled his eyes. Roddy and Hydro were walking down the hall talking about random stuff. Hydro was feeling better now after talking to his parents and spending some time with Lauren. He had some stitches on his face, but that was about the extent of his injuries.

"It's kind of weird that my little sister and your brother are dating." Roddy said as Hydro shrugged.

"Not really. They suit each other." Hydro said as he turned to look at Roddy. Suddenly they saw Flash pass by them in a blur. Hydro stopped him quickly and dragged him back to where he and Roddy were. "Where's the fire, bro?" He asked.

"Burning off calories. Bolt called me fat." He pouted as Roddy laughed and Hydro rolled his eyes.

"You have the fastest metabolism possible! And you're worried that you're fat? You've been spending way too much time with Ivy." Hydro said as Flash glared at him.

"Fuck you!" He shouted before he ran away as Hydro watched Roddy almost die with laughter.

"You're right, they do suit each other." Roddy said through laughs as Hydro shoved him. Julian was walking back from his lunch when he saw Izzy talking to a white hedgehog. Julian automatically felt a pang of jealously as he saw her laugh at something he was saying.

"What's so great about him?" He mumbled to himself as he watched them.

"You're the one watching them." Lauren whispered scaring Julian.

"Jeez, give a guy a warning!" He jeered as Lauren rolled her eyes. "Who is that guy?" He asked as Lauren searched his brain.

"His name is Ryan. He's in her AP Government class." Lauren said as Julian glared at him.

"I knew he was a son of bitch." Julian muttered and Lauren rolled her eyes.

"You don't even know him." Lauren said as Julian crossed his arms.

"Okay! Now I know he's a son of a bitch." Julian said as he continued to glare at him.

"She doesn't like him. So, I wouldn't worry." Lauren told him.

"Who does she like?" He whispered as Lauren shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Julian sighed and hung his head low before he walked to his class. Valentine's Day was here and everybody was feeling the love as they got ready for the dance or for their dates. All except Julian who was at home with his little siblings.

"Are you sure you're okay with babysitting?" Jillian asked.

"I'm fine, Mom. Have fun with Dad. You guys haven't had a date in years." Julian smiled as Todd slid down the stairwell railing.

"Damn right!" Todd exclaimed and Jillian rolled her eyes.

"Be responsible, okay?" Jillian said as Julian nodded. She kissed her son on the cheek and walked out of the door with her husband.

"Who wants to play hide and seek?" Julian called out and heard Juliana and Alex yell out in excitement. They spent the next hour and half playing hide and seek and Julian was always It which he didn't mind. At the dance everybody was having a blast and Conner and Renegade were leaning against the wall as Conner got some footage for the video yearbook.

"I still can't believe he didn't come." Conner said closing his camera.

"Why would he come if he's crazy about Izzy?" Renegade asked as Conner crossed his arms.

"I bet she's here." He mumbled as Renegade shook her head.

"She's not." Renegade said and before Conner was able to ask he was pulled away by Serenity. Renegade shrugged and decided to go find Alana. Izzy was pacing her living room as Luca sat on the ground and played with his blocks.

"What wrong Momma?" He asked making Izzy stop pacing.

"Oh nothing, sweetie. Momma's just thinking." She told him kissing him on his head. She looked at Luca and he smiled up at her. She knew what she had to do and grabbed her keys. "Sweetheart, do you want to go see Julian?" She asked as Luca threw his short arms in the air.

"Yay!" He exclaimed. Taking that as a yes, she picked him up and put him in his car seat. She remembered Alana saying something about Julian not going to the dance so she drove to his house. When she arrived she took a deep breath before picking up Luca and walking to the door. She let Luca press the doorbell since she knew he loved it. Julian answered it with a cape around his neck. His eyes widened when she saw Izzy and Luca there and Izzy smiled softly.

"Izzy?" He gasped.

"Nice cape." She smirked as Julian looked at his shoulder. He ripped off the cape and threw it to the side. Before leaning on the doorframe trying to look smooth, but that only made her laugh.

"Julie! Julie!" Luca smiled stretching out his arms towards Julian.

"Hey buddy!" Julian smiled and Izzy let him take Luca out of her arms and into his. She walked in while Luca hugged Julian. Her kid was weird.

"Julian who's that?" Juliana asked as she walked towards them with Alex by her side.

"Juliana, this is Izzy and her son Luca." Julian said as Luca waved.

"Hi!" Juliana said bouncing up and down. "Can I play with him?" Juliana asked excitedly as Izzy nodded. Julian put Luca down and he ran to play along with Alex and Juliana. Julian turned around to look at Izzy who only looked back at him. They stood in awkward silence for awhile before Julian turned to face her.

"What are you doing here?" He asked and Izzy shuffled her feet nervously.

"I wanted to see you." She said quietly as Julian looked at her confused. "You said I deserve better than you." She said as Julian nodded. "But I want you." She told him and looked up to Julian. Julian didn't say anything. Instead he hugged her close to his body and she hugged him back.

"You have no idea how happy I am you said that." He chuckled in relief as Izzy smiled up at him. Julian leaned down and brushed his lips softly across Izzy's. Izzy stood on her toes and kissed him back. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her closer to him.

"Ew!" Alex and Juliana groaned as Luca smiled. Julian and Izzy pulled apart and smiled at the little kids. Luca hugged his Mom and quickly went back with Alex and Juliana.

"Happy Valentine's Day." He said handing her a small box. Inside was a gold bracelet. It was made up of hearts that connected to each other and had small diamonds on it and made Izzy smile.

"How did you know I was going to come?" She asked as Julian smiled.

"I hoped you would." He told her and Izzy laughed and kissed him lightly on the lips.
