With Prom and Finals done, the last day of school was here and that left the majority of students excited, but some of the seniors feeling a little bittersweet. Julian was standing by his locker and emptying it out, sighing heavily.
"Last day of school. It's kind of depressing." Conner sighed walking over to Julian with Renegade. Conner had his own backpack filled with all the things in his locker and it came as no surprise that it was a lot of camera equipment.
"Maybe for you guys, but I still have one more year." Renegade mumbled and both Conner and Julian looked over at him sadly. "What?" He asked slowly.
"I'm going to miss your calm, yet sarcastic attitude." Julian pouted and Renegade rolled his eyes.
"We still have the," Renegade paused and sighed heavily. "Party." He grumbled making Conner and Julian smile.
"Yeah we do!" Serenity exclaimed while she jumped on Conner's back and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Ginger and Derek were also there, but didn't look as excited about the party.
"Who's even hosting the party?" Derek asked with his arm around Ginger's shoulders.
"Um…these two girls, I think. Sharon and Amanda?" Ginger mumbled and everybody else shrugged. Since today was a shorter day instead of a full school day, everyone was stuck in their homerooms until the day was over. Most students ditched today, but none of the parents let their kids do the same, especially since they were all planning to go to a party later.
"I just want to get this day over with." Bolt sighed carrying his backpack with the stuff from his locker—which wasn't a whole lot.
"Why? All we're doing after this is the party." Flash shrugged as they both walked into the same classroom. The teachers didn't really care about which students were in their classes after they took roll, they were as excited for summer as the students.
"But it's almost summer. Three months of freedom." Bolt grinned as he and Flash sat in the back of the classroom where Chrissy was sitting.
"But you know you're not doing special." Chrissy told him and Bolt just smirked.
"Hanging out with my friends is enough for me." Bolt smiled before putting his hands behind his head. Lauren walked into the classroom and she sat down next to Chrissy smiling excitedly.
"We're going to be juniors next year!" Lauren cheered while Bolt and Chrissy looked at Flash.
"I'm happy to be a sophomore." Flash shrugged. Just then they heard singing and looked up at the front to see AJ walking in, dancing and singing.
"School's out for summer! School's out forever!" AJ sang and headed towards the back of the classroom.
"AJ what are you doing?" Flash asked and AJ stopped dead in his tracks.
"This isn't a musical chapter?" He asked and everybody shook their heads. "Damn it, Lazarus!" He exclaimed before running out of the classroom.
"Thank God it's not another musical chapter." Bolt muttered when suddenly upbeat and poppy music began to play around them and all around the school.
"You had to say something." Chrissy muttered as everyone sitting in their desks started to do a well choreographed dance. AJ ran back in and did a flip onto the desk before turning to face the class to sing while everybody sang with him.

Everybody got out of their desks while dancing along them and moving out the classroom. The halls were now filled with students dancing and singing while AJ lead them towards the exits.

Back in a classroom, Chrissy walked in while Bolt followed her inside. He was about to start singing, but Flash put a hand on his chest to stop him.
"You guys can't really sing this part." Flash told them and Bolt pouted while Chrissy shrugged. They both walked out while Suzy skipped into the classroom and Shade followed her. They both danced around the empty desks in the class while singing towards each other, smiling and laughing.
Finally summer's here

They held hands while they sang and left the classroom back into the hallways. They synced back up with everyone dancing and AJ leading the pack. AJ was marching along with one of the school's spirit flags in his hand and jumping back and forth between rows of lockers.

Everybody danced through the halls right passed Derek and Ginger who were beside their lockers.
"Really? Another one?" Derek muttered making Ginger laugh.
"I bet it's almost over." She told him before pulling him into the mass of students.
"Ginger no! We're going to start dancing too!" He told her, but she just laughed as they both started dancing along with the other students. Derek just sighed heavily, but still danced alongside Ginger who was actually having fun. Allie and Joseph were beside some lockers, Allie checking herself out in a compact mirror while Joseph just leaned against the lockers.
Goodbye to rules
No summer school

Once they were done singing and dancing, they both turned to each other with looks of disgust. They both shuddered before leaving the school without notice since everyone was still dancing and AJ was still marching along.

Flash caught Ivy's hand before spinning her into him and carrying her away from the hallway and into the stairwell. Ivy laughed as Flash held her hand and led her down the stairs while they sang together.
No more waking up at 6AM

They skipped out of the stairwell and joined the dancing mob again while they broke down in a heavy dance piece while the song had an instrumental bridge. Once the dance break was done AJ flipped over some students, landing back in the front of everybody. He sang and danced while everybody moved towards the main entrance.

The student body all ended in a final pose, outside of the school and smiling together. Everyone looked around confused when the music stopped and slowly began walking towards the parking lot where their cars and buses were. AJ sighed heavily before straightening out his shirt and scowling.
"I hate the author." AJ muttered before taking a step and slipping on virtually nothing and landing on his face.
"And that's why you don't say that out loud." Lazarus chuckled while AJ glared at him. After stopping at their homes, changing, and getting their stuff, everybody headed towards the house where the party was happening. The house was humongous with a giant pool, Jacuzzi, and yard. The house was also on a lake, but no one could swim in the lake so swimming was only reserved for the pool. Once there, the party was already in full swing with people dancing, eating, drinking, swimming, and just generally having a good time. Conner and Renegade walked over to where Izzy and Julian were standing to see Julian sigh heavily after looking in his bag.
"I forgot my swimsuit." Julian muttered while Conner smirked.
"Not the best thing to say to us." Conner told him as Renegade raised an eyebrow towards Julian's direction. Julian ran behind Izzy and ducked behind her.
"Don't worry I brought you some." Izzy grinned holding a pair of black swim trunks for Julian.
"That's why I love you." Julian said before kissing her cheek. Julian, Izzy, Alana, and Renegade all headed inside the house so Julian could change and the rest of them could get drinks. However, they were almost knocked down by a girl. She was a sea-foam green hedgehog with light gold eyes and her quills ending around her shoulders. She smiled brightly when she saw them and fought the urge to squeal.
"Oh! Sorry! I'm Sammy, by the way, and this is my party. Welcome!" She introduced herself before gesturing around the house.
"Well, it certainty looks great. I'm Izzy and this is my boyfriend Julian and my friends Alana and Renegade." Izzy smiled and Sammy again smiled brightly. Renegade was staring at her suspiciously, but his train of thought was cut off when a pink hedgehog with white quills and eyes arrived and stood next to Sammy.
"Hi!" The new girl smiled at them.
"This is Ashley. It's her party too." Sammy told them and Ashley gave an affirmative nod.
"Oo! I knew you guys would turn out great!" Ashley gushed while Sammy glared at her and the other four looked at her confused.
"What do you mean we would turn out great?" Julian asked as Ashley looked at them wide-eyed.
"Uh…well, we know your parents. You know, from school. And uh…they talk a lot about all you guys. And she's just uh…excited to finally meet you guys." Sammy stammered nervously and Renegade narrowed his eyes but everybody else shrugged.
"Okay." Julian shrugged.
"Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy the party!" Sammy exclaimed before grabbing Ashley's arm and pulling her away.
"And don't break anything!" Ashley called out, but Sammy just dragged her into the other room.
"Good job! You almost blew our cover!" Sammy hissed.
"I was just a little excited! I mean it's Julian! He's my creation." Ashley smiled excitedly as Sammy rolled her eyes.
"You're lucky I don't write you out of this story. I'm the author, I have that power." Sammy threatened while Ashley just shrugged. Back outside, everybody was enjoying the giant pool and other water-themed activities.
"Cannonball!" Brice shouted before he and Nicole jumped into the pool. Their splash was large enough that it hit Suzy who still had her dry clothes on.
"You're dead, Echidna!" Suzy yelled pulling off her wet t-shirt and shorts to reveal a black bikini. Shade stood a little ways away from her gawking at his girlfriend before someone cleared his throat. He looked to see AJ scowling at him and rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"Oh, hey AJ." Shade smiled sheepishly while AJ continued to scowl at him. "Oh c'mon! I'm her boyfriend! I'm allowed to drool and gawk!" He exclaimed and AJ just pushed him into the pool.
"My job's done." AJ grinned dusting off his hands. Lazarus walked by sipping on a drink before he pushed AJ into the pool. "Asshole." AJ sputtered when he resurfaced and Lazarus just smirked before walking over to Derek.
"You're seriously not going to swim?" Lazarus asked eyeing Derek still in his shirt and jeans.
"Nah." Derek told him and Lazarus crossed his arms.
"C'mon Derek! What's the point of coming if you're not going to swim?" Lazarus asked as Derek crossed his arms and shrugged. Lazarus huffed angrily before pushing Derek into the pool, however, Derek froze a section of the water and landed on it gracefully. "Damn it!" Lazarus cursed while Derek just smirked. "I swear Stanson, your ass will be in that pool by the end of the night." He swore and Derek just rolled his eyes. Hydro and Lauren were pressed against the side of the house peeking around the edge looking at Roddy and Lilac.
"Okay, you ready?" Hydro asked and Lauren lifted some water balloons up behind her with her powers.
"Oh yeah." She smirked and Hydro chuckled. Hydro stepped out of hiding and lifted his hand to his mouth.
"Hey Roddy!" He shouted making Lilac and Roddy look up. Before they knew what was happening two water balloons hit their heads, soaking them. Lilac frowned while Roddy took off his hat and flipped his hair back.
"This means war!" Roddy exclaimed putting his hat on backwards.
"It's on, Hedgehog." Hydro smirked before he and Lauren were hit in the back of the head with water balloons. They turned around to see Ebony and Andrew smirking, but soon they were hit with balloons and saw Lilac stifling her laughter.
"Are you serious?" Ebony asked and Lilac shrugged innocently. Renegade turned the corner and saw everyone holding water balloons.
"Uh…maybe I should come back another time." Renegade muttered as he started walking backwards.
"Too late!" Conner shouted appearing behind Renegade and throwing a water balloon right in his face. Renegade flipped him off before he walked over to get a towel and sneakily grab some balloons. Renegade threw them all at Conner and Conner was quickly soaked from head to toe.
"Payback's a bitch, ain't it?" Renegade smirked while Conner scowled flipping his wet hair out of his face. Suddenly someone hit Renegade in the back of his head and he whipped around to see it was Alana.
"She made me do it!" She exclaimed pointing at Lauren. Renegade ran at her and lifted her up in his arms. He started walking towards the pool and she glared at him. "You wouldn't." She said as Renegade smirked.
"Nothing's going stop me." He said as Alana's eyes turned a deep red. Renegade fell on his knees while uncomfortably shifting. "You play dirty, Delgado." He scowled while Alana smirked. "But I play better." He murmured as he continued to crawl towards the pool.
"You know we can get out of here." Alana whispered seductively while her eyes turned a deeper red.
"N-no." Renegade gritted out while grabbing the edge of the pool. He pulled both of them into the water, but kept himself against the wall while Alana resurfaced. "Now, how about we get out of here?" He grinned and she splashed him with water laughing. Across the yard, Bolt was standing by the snack table outside and gnawing on celery sticks when Shawn approached him.
"Not this again." Shawn muttered. "What's going on?" He asked.
"I saw Chrissy talking to a guy. Looking pretty friendly." Bolt mumbled before grabbing another celery stick. Shawn grabbed it out of his hand and threw it on the ground.
"Listen here! I'm not going to let you mope around the entire party! You are going to have fun! You guys may be friends now, but you will get back together!" Shawn shouted at his friend while Bolt got a newfound sense of determination. Shawn, despite his vision, was determined to get Chrissy and Bolt back together and that wasn't going to happen if Bolt was pouting all the time.
"Thanks Shawn." Bolt grinned and the two of them walked over to the pool. Bolt suddenly froze and Shawn sighed heavily.
"What is it—oh shit!" Shawn exclaimed when he caught sight of Chrissy. Chrissy was wearing a floral bikini that hugged her curves and showed off the body she usually kept hidden. "When did she get a body like that?" He asked and Bolt scowled before pushing him into the pool.
"Where's the celery?" Bolt muttered before walking back towards the snack table. Sammy walked out of the house and jumped onto one of the tables.
"Listen up!" She yelled as everybody turned to look at her. "I'm having a pie eating contest since my Mom made too much! Who wants to be in it?" She asked when Flash ran to the table and Brice sat down across from him. They both glared at each other before Sammy jumped off the table. "Bring out the pies!" Sammy shouted as people began to bring trays full of an assortment of pies.
"Let's getting ready to gorge!" Ashley exclaimed slamming a tray of pies on the table between Flash and Brice.
"Okay, whoever finishes the most pies in ten minutes wins. Ready, set, go!" Sammy shouted before Flash and Brice started stuffing their faces.
"C'mon Flash! You can take him down!" Shade yelled as Bolt stood next to him chewing celery.
"You call that competitive eating? I know you're better than this! Eat! Eat!" Julian shouted while Derek just shook his head.
"Stop!" Ashley yelled before she jumped on the table and kicked the pies they were eating away. "Okay, count them up!" She said as Sammy sighed and started the counting the empty tins. Sammy whispered the winner in Ashley's ear and she smiled. "The winner is Flash!" She announced as Flash jumped up and cheered. Out of anger Brice grabbed a pie and threw it at Flash's face.
"Oh no you didn't." Flash said wiping the whipped cream and bananas off his face.
"Uh oh." Sammy mumbled before Ashley grabbed two pies.
"Pie fight!" Ashley shouted as everybody started grabbing pies and throwing them at each other. Derek managed to slip away, but as soon as he turned away from the fight he was greeted by a pie to his face.
"What. The. Hell." He muttered slowly as the foil tin fell off his face. Ginger laughed loudly looking at her fiancé with pie all over his face, courtesy of her. Derek smirked and wiped some cream off his face before smearing it on hers. She just laughed before leaning over and kissing him. They broke apart though when they heard Tyler yell.
"You'll never take me alive!" Tyler exclaimed as he skated passed Ginger and Derek.
"Think again!" Ruby shouted as she and Onyx followed him on their boards out of the backyard. Tyler jumped over a rock and decided to levitate himself up into a tree. He started to weave his way through the branches while Ruby and Onyx skidded to a stop beside the tree. Onyx smirked before slamming his foot on the ground causing the ground around them rattle and shake. Tyler fell out of the tree and landed on his back. Ruby flew over and slammed a pie onto his face while she and Onyx laughed.
"You guys suck." Tyler muttered through the pie tin while the twins continued to laugh. However, they failed to notice Topaz sneaking up behind them and they were both pied in the face. Tyler laughed hysterically as the tins slowly fell off their faces. "She got you good!" He exclaimed and Onyx looked over at his girlfriend.
"You should run." Ruby told her and Topaz took off with Onyx running after her. The night soon came and everybody had either left or settled inside the house or around a bonfire. Renegade, Julian, and Conner were all sitting on the dock while the sounds of the party continued behind them.
"It really is your guys' last day here." Renegade murmured while Julian and Conner looked at him. "I hate to say this, but you guys were pretty good friends." He shrugged and Julian grinned.
"And…" He said and Renegade just scowled.
"Say you're going to miss us!" Conner demanded and Renegade rolled his eyes. "C'mon, we know you will." He said.
"No." Renegade said and Julian nudged him playfully.
"C'mon, Renegade. We all know." Julian said and Renegade grimaced.
"I'm going to miss you guys." Renegade muttered before gagging. "Oh my God, I think a part of me died inside." He said while Conner and Julian laughed.
"We'll miss you too." Conner smiled as he and Julian encased a very uncomfortable Renegade in a group hug.
"Once you three are done with your bromantic moment, I would like to talk to my boyfriend." Izzy muttered as the guys broke apart and Conner and Renegade walked off the dock.
"We know you're just jealous." Conner grinned and Izzy rolled her eyes while Julian snickered. Julian opened his arms up and Izzy walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him.
"I can't believe we're going to graduate tomorrow." Izzy mumbled against his chest. "This year has gone by so fast." She said tilting her head up to look at Julian.
"It's been one of the best in my life so far." He told her.
"And why is that?" Izzy smiled.
"Because we won The State Championship!" Julian exclaimed and Izzy frowned. "I'm just kidding. It's because I met you." He grinned before pressing a kiss on her forehead. "Have you given USC any thought?" He asked and Izzy sighed. Julian was heading to The University of Southern California on a football scholarship and when they brought up college, Julian wanted Izzy to go since she also applied and gotten in. However, Izzy had a lot of things to consider with her picks and wasn't sure.
"Julian," Izzy murmured. "I got a full scholarship to Columbia. It's just—I can't—"She started to cry and become flustered, but Julian pulled her into his arms again and held her closely.
"It's okay, I understand. That's a hard thing to pass up." Julian said as Izzy sniffled against his chest. "We live in the modern age. We got phones, the Internet, computers—we'll be fine." He told her and Izzy pulled back to look up at him. Being on opposite coasts was definitely going to put a strain on their relationships, but with one look at Julian's face, Izzy could see that he wasn't going to give up on them anytime soon.
"You promise?" She whispered and he leaned down and kissed her firmly.
"I promise." He told her softly making her smile. On the other side of the yard, AJ, Derek, and Lazarus were sitting at a table near the pool.
"I can't believe you're leaving next year." AJ sighed.
"Yeah…and I have to worry about you two breaking out into song over here." Derek muttered and Lazarus smirked.
"I think that's his way saying he's going to miss us." Lazarus chuckled and AJ smiled.
"Let's not get all mushy now. I'm not even going to be that far away." Derek rolled his eyes as AJ sniffled. Derek and Lazarus looked up to see AJ with his tears in his eyes.
"I'm just going to miss you so much." AJ cried before he got up and ran away from the two.
"We better see if he's okay." Lazarus muttered before the two of them stood up and walked over to AJ who was crying against a pool chair.
"I'll only be a phone call away. And again, I'm not that far." Derek told AJ putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh I know that." AJ smiled looking perfectly okay and confusing the hell out of Derek. Before Derek could say anything, Lazarus grabbed him by the shoulders and threw him into the pool. Derek gasped as he resurfaced to see Lazarus and AJ laughing hysterically.
"Told you I'll get you in this pool by the end of the night!" Lazarus grinned smugly while Derek glared at him.
"I hate you guys." Derek muttered pulling himself out of the pool.
"We know you'll miss us." AJ smiled cheekily and Derek just rolled his eyes.
