Ginger groaned loudly before collapsing onto her bed and burying her face into her pillow. Luna sat down next to her and rubbed her back.
"C'mon sweetie, it's not going to be that bad." Luna told her.
"If I knew planning a wedding was going to be this time consuming, I wouldn't have said yes." Ginger muttered while Julian and Serenity leaned against her bedroom door.
"I bet you still would've." Julian smirked before Ginger threw a pillow at him.
"Please, I promise it won't be that bad today." Luna said and Ginger sighed.
"Fine." She muttered sitting back up on her bed.
"Okay! We have a wedding cake tasting, then a hair appointment, tux fitting, dress fitting, meeting with the caterer—"Amy exclaimed as she walked into the room, but Ginger quickly cut her off.
"How did you get here?" Ginger asked.
"With Serenity, of course. Now let's go, we have to get Derek, AJ, and Lazarus." Amy told her and Julian looked over at her confused.
"Why do we need AJ and Lazarus?" He asked as they all walked downstairs.
"We're having your guys' final tux fitting today." Amy said while typing rapidly on her phone.
"But we got fitted five times already!" Julian exclaimed and Amy rolled her eyes.
"We have to make sure they fit." She said and Julian fell to the ground clutching his shoulder.
"Ah, my hamstring. I think I pulled it. Listen, you guys should really go on without me. I'm pretty sure Derek and I are the same size." Julian winced in pain while Serenity rolled her eyes.
"Derek is taller than you and isn't as built as you. And your hamstring is on your leg not your arm." Serenity told him and Julian groaned.
"But I don't want to do another fitting!" Julian whined and Amy looked up from her phone and glared at him. "Never mind. I would love to! Hell, I'll do it ten more times." He stammered nervously and Amy smiled brightly.
"This is what happens when you marry Shadow." Luna murmured to Julian and Ginger who both nodded. Derek, Lazarus, and AJ were all hanging out at Lazarus' house when there was a banging on the door. Lazarus got up to answer it, but AJ quickly dragged him back down.
"Don't answer it! It's them! They're going to make us do wedding stuff again!" AJ whispered harshly and Lazarus ducked down on the ground.
"I know you guys are in there! Don't make me break this door down!" Amy shouted through the door and Derek sighed heavily.
"No! Don't do it! They already have me!" Julian yelled and a sharp squeal followed.
"C'mon, let's just get this over with." Derek shook his head while Lazarus and AJ looked at him pleadingly. Derek opened door and saw all of them standing there and Julian rubbing his chest from—what he assumed—Amy giving him a purple-nurple. Derek walked over to Ginger who smiled at him while AJ and Lazarus dragged themselves out of the house.
"Okay let's go try some cake!" Amy exclaimed and Derek looked at her confused.
"Didn't we decide on chocolate?" He asked and Amy laughed.
"Oh, so young, so naive." Amy said patting Derek's cheek. "Derek, there are so many different chocolates and you have to decide on one." She told him making him sigh—he didn't even like sweets that much.
"I'll be glad to do that!" AJ told her happily while Amy just rolled her eyes. They drove towards the bakery where they met with a portly chef in a chef's coat and apron.
"This is Chef Louis. He is the owner of the bakery and has made samples for you to taste." Amy told Derek and Ginger while the rest just stood there looking bored. Nearly fifty samples of cake were placed in front of them and Ginger and Derek stared at them wide-eyed.
"We're supposed to eat all of this?" Ginger asked and Amy snorted.
"Not all of it. Just try a bit of each." Amy told them while Derek and Ginger sighed. After trying all the samples—with AJ eating their leftovers—Derek and Ginger decided on the milk chocolate cake with white chocolate frosting.
"Time to visit the venue." Amy announced and everybody groaned and headed back to their cars.
"Why are we even here?" Lazarus grumbled as he trudged around the grounds where the ceremony was going to take place.
"Moral support?" Julian shrugged looking over to Ginger and Derek who looked exhausted.
"This is what happens when you make my Mom the planner." Serenity muttered and the two of them nodded. After checking out the venue they made their way to the tuxedo shop where the guys were going to do their final fitting. It was conveniently located a block away from the store where Ginger was getting her dress so Amy was bouncing back and forth between the two stores to make sure everything was okay.
"C'mon Ginger! Come out already!" Serenity called out while looking at herself in the mirror in her bridesmaid dress. Her dress was a jade-colored dress with lace around the top of the dress and around the top of her arms. Lace surrounded the bodice and the skirt flared out with tulle and lace around the bottom of the dress. "Shouldn't you be with the guys?" Serenity asked looking back at Julian who was sitting on a chair.
"And miss out on seeing Ginger in her wedding dress? I think not!" Julian told her and Serenity rolled her eyes.
"Okay, I'm coming out." Ginger told them. Luna and Amy are the only ones who have seen her in her dress so far, so Serenity and Julian were incredibly excited to see the bride-to-be. Ginger walked out in a simple, long white dress. The dress had a sweetheart neckline and spaghetti straps. The bodice had a slightly ruffled designed and was loose around her torso. The dress flowed down around her legs gracefully and was backless, exposing the top half of her back. "What do you think?" Ginger asked looking at everyone.
"You look so beautiful." Luna told her while wiping her tears away and Ginger smiled over at her Mom. Serenity was also dabbing her eyes at the sight of her best friend while Julian was smiling like an idiot.
"Derek is really going to lose his shit when he sees you." Julian said while Luna slapped his arm and Ginger blushed. Amy was smiling brightly looking satisfied that her picture was coming together.
"Julian, how are the guys doing?" Amy asked and the smile from Julian's face dropped before he ran out of the bridal store. Amy shook her head and took a sip of her champagne while Serenity and Ginger laughed. Julian was panting as he ran into the tuxedo shop and all the guys looked at him confused.
"I'm here, I'm here," Julian panted waving his hand while he put his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. "By the way, Ginger…looks great." He smiled at Derek while still panting. Derek chuckled and thanked Julian for letting him know while he got the last few parts of his tux on. He was wearing a pretty standard black and white tuxedo while the other guys were wearing a black tuxedo with yellow accents. Julian, since he was a part of the bridal party and not the groom's party, was going to wear a black tuxedo with jade green accents.
"How are we walking down the aisle?" AJ asked as he fixed his cufflinks.
"Lazarus and Serenity and you and Julian." Derek told him and AJ groaned.
"I have to walk with my brother?" He asked while Lazarus laughed.
"It's not like you have to hold hands or anything." Lazarus told him and AJ sighed.
"But aren't the bridesmaids and groomsmen supposed to dance together?" AJ asked and Julian walked out of his dressing room in his tuxedo.
"We are definitely going to be an exception!" He exclaimed while Derek and Lazarus laughed. Amy eventually showed up and was happy with what she saw—which the guys were thankful for. The guys all got dressed back in their regular clothes before following Amy out of the tuxedo shop and meeting with the girls in front of the bridal shop.
"Okay, now I believe Serenity wanted to take Ginger somewhere." Amy said looking at her daughter who nodded while Ginger sighed. "Be back in an hour." She told them and Serenity smiled before grabbing Ginger and pulling her away.
"What are we going to do?" AJ asked and Amy smirked.
"You guys need to learn how to dance." Amy told them and they all groaned. Serenity and Ginger headed over to the mall and Ginger stood outside of a familiar store refusing to go in.
"I'm not going in." Ginger told Serenity with her arms crossed over her chest.
"C'mon. It's just one piece of lingerie. Derek will love it." Serenity said grabbing Ginger's arm and trying to drag her into Victoria's Secret, but Ginger remained rooted in her spot.
"He'll love me in a potato sack. A scrap of lace isn't going to make a difference." Ginger told her pulling her arm out of Serenity's grasp.
"Fine, we might as well head back then." Serenity sighed in defeat while placing a hand on Ginger's shoulder. Ginger nodded and turned, but suddenly purple light blocked her vision and when she could see again she saw that she was in Victoria's Secret. She whipped around and glared at Serenity who had a shit-eating-grin on her face.
"You—"
"Might as well look since we're here." Serenity shrugged and Ginger huffed angrily.
"I hate you." Ginger muttered. Serenity gasped as she quickly ran over picking something up and walked back over to Ginger.
"This one is perfect." Serenity smiled and Ginger just looked to see some green lace in Serenity's hands and not whole lot else.
"Where's the rest of it?" She asked as Serenity rolled her eyes.
"This is it!" She said as Ginger shook her head.
"No!" Ginger told her.
"C'mon it's cute and totally you! And plus Derek loves you in green." Serenity smirked and Ginger looked at her confused.
"How do you know that?" She asked and Serenity shifted her eyes.
"I hear things…" She mumbled and Ginger crossed her arms. "Okay! Lauren told me!" Serenity told her and Ginger cursed her nosy, mind-reading sister.
"Fine! I'll get it, but nothing else!" Ginger caved while Serenity smiled happily. Serenity paid for it—calling it an early wedding present—before they left the store. Before the exited the mall, Ginger stopped Serenity and Serenity looked back at her confused. Ginger simply pointed at a jewelry store that Julian was currently exiting.
"What the?" Serenity murmured before they both walked over to Julian. Julian froze when he saw Serenity and Ginger standing in front of him, both with their arms crossed.
"Oo, Victoria's Secret. What did you get?" Julian asked trying to look into the pink bag before Ginger snatched it away and get the attention off of him.
"None of your business!" Ginger told him blushing brightly while Julian smirked.
"Not even a little peek?" Julian asked wiggling his eyebrows and Ginger shoved his face away from hers.
"Stop trying to change the subject! Why are you here?" Serenity asked.
"Why are any of us here, Serenity? Is there some cosmic reason—"
"Shut up!" Serenity shouted and Julian frowned. "What's in the bag, Julian?" She asked pointing at the small bag Julian was holding.
"I was picking up something for my Mom." Julian told her and Ginger narrowed her eyes.
"You're lying. Your left eye always twitches when you lie to us!" Ginger accused and Julian's hand flew up to cover his left eye.
"It does not!" He exclaimed and Serenity reached for the bag, but Julian pulled it out of reach.
"You don't want to play this game. You know I always win." Serenity threatened and Julian narrowed his eyes.
"Things change." Julian said before taking off in a sprint. Serenity turned to chase after him but fell flat on her face.
"He stuck our feet on the ground." Ginger told her looking down to see their feet surrounded by a blue glow. Serenity growled before standing back up and grabbing Ginger's hand before Chaos Controlling into the parking lot.
"Suckers!" Julian shouted as he drove passed them. Serenity scowled before taking a step towards her car only to fall flat on her face again.
"Really, you should have seen that coming." Ginger told her and Serenity growled angrily. Julian pulled up to Serenity's house a few moments later since Amy demanded his presence there again, but screamed like girl when he saw Serenity and Ginger in his backseat.
"Told you I always win!" Serenity told him smugly grabbing the bag out of his passenger seat and jumping out of the car.
"No!" Julian exclaimed practically falling out of his car to stop Serenity. But Serenity was already holding the ring box in his hand and she and Ginger looked at Julian shocked.
"You're going to propose?" Serenity stammered out.
"Open the box." Julian sighed. Serenity opened the box eagerly and she and Ginger looked down. It was a ring, but didn't quite look like your typical engagement ring. It was two white gold rings that crossed over each other in an X-like fashion, with one band bare and the other surrounded in small diamonds. Ginger and Serenity looked back at him to see Julian rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"Since Izzy and I are going to be going to schools on the opposite coast, I wanted to give her something to show her that I was serious about us. So…I got her a promise ring." Julian explained sheepishly. Ginger and Serenity both looked at the ring again before putting their hands to their hearts and staring at Julian.
"That's so cute!" Ginger told him.
"Our boy is all grown up." Serenity said making Julian roll his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, can I have my ring back now?" Julian asked and Serenity handed it back to him. They all walked into the house and into the living room to see Amy ordering the guys around about how to dance while Shadow just sat off to the side messing around on his laptop.
"What's going on?" Ginger asked.
"Apparently we have to learn how to ballroom dance." Julian muttered while they stared at him confused. "At least that's what she told me before I ditched." He said. Ginger shook her head while Serenity snorted.
"Can we go home now?" Lazarus asked while AJ slumped onto the couch.
"Fine, I guess." Amy sighed heavily while Lazarus and AJ bolted out of the house with Julian following shortly behind them.
"That's some record breaking speed for them." Shadow muttered making Amy roll her eyes. Shawn and Bolt were at Flash's house playing some video games when Shawn was hit with the same vision of Chrissy agreeing to marrying some random dude. He growled lowly while Bolt looked over at him.
"You okay?" Bolt asked while Shawn looked over at him. He's been debating for the last couple of weeks on telling Bolt about his vision. On one hand, it might light a fire under his ass and try to get back with Chrissy. On the other hand, it may crush him and he'd lose any motivation he has on trying to be with Chrissy. He didn't know when the vision took place, but Chrissy looked different—older, so that reassured him that it wasn't for sometime.
"Yeah, fine, Flash can you show me where the sodas are?" Shawn asked as he stood up while Flash looked over at him confused.
"You know where they—"
"I just need the help Flash." Shawn gritted out while Flash just got up slowly and walked out of his room with Shawn.
"Want to explain why you're acting so weird?" Flash asked once they were in the kitchen.
"I had a vision of another guy proposing to Chrissy and her saying yes!" Shawn told him while grabbing onto his shoulders.
"What?" Flash shouted but Shawn quickly shushed him. "Did you tell Bolt?" He asked quietly.
"I don't know if should tell him or not. I mean it would practically kill him and my Dad says never tamper with the future." Shawn told him rubbing the back of his head.
"Wow, that's harsh." Flash murmured when Bolt walked into the kitchen.
"What's harsh?" Bolt asked making the both of them freeze.
"Uh…" Shawn stammered.
"Sandpaper!" Flash exclaimed. "You know, it's so…rough." He muttered and Shawn slapped his hand over his face.
"Uh okay…?" Bolt said before moving passed them and towards the fridge. Shawn slapped Flash's arm and Flash just shrugged his shoulders. Julian walked into Izzy's house only to be quickly attacked by Luca in his pajamas and ready for bed.
"Julie!" Luca smiled before Julian pulled him off his leg and into his arms.
"Hey buddy, where's your Mom?" He asked and Luca pointed upstairs. Izzy came down at that moment, holding some of Luca's blocks in her hands.
"Hey! You done with the wedding stuff?" She asked walking over to him while Julian put Luca back down. He quickly ran off into the living room and Julian kissed Izzy sweetly.
"You mean hell?" Julian muttered while Izzy laughed.
"C'mon, it couldn't have been that bad." Izzy said while they walked into the living room where Luca was playing with his blocks. He quickly took the few from Izzy and continued to play on the floor.
"You weren't there. You don't know." He told her while sitting on the couch. The ring box fell out of his pocket, but he was quick to shove it back into his pocket. However, Izzy caught sight of it, but didn't say anything. Was Julian seriously thinking proposing? When they were about to spend the next couple of years on different coasts? They've only been dating for five months, did he really think they were ready for marriage?
"Um, I'm just going to grab something from my room." Izzy told him and he nodded before she rushed upstairs. She quickly grabbed her phone and called up Alana.
"Hey Izzy—"
"I think Julian is going to propose to me." Izzy blurted out.
"Aww." Alana gushed and Izzy sighed.
"No! No 'aw'! I'm not ready to get married especially since we're going to be leaving soon and we're going to be thousands of miles away from each other!" Izzy rushed out as she paced her room.
"Izzy, Izzy, calm down. Maybe he's not proposing." Alana told her and Izzy threw her arm up in exasperation.
"But he is! I saw the box!" Izzy told her and Alana didn't say anything. "Alana!" She yelled.
"Sorry, sorry. I was asking Renegade if he knew anything about it and he said no." Alana told her and Izzy groaned into a pillow. "Just tell him before he does it." She said.
"I don't want to hurt him." Izzy murmured as she bit on her nail.
"He might be a little bit, but I'm sure he'll understand." Alana said and Izzy sighed.
"Fine, I'll do that, but if anything goes wrong I'm blaming you." Izzy said before they said their goodbyes. Izzy paced her room a couple more times trying to calm herself down. Once she felt like she had a slightly better hold on herself, she walked back downstairs to see Luca sitting on Julian's lap and Julian reading to him. The sight warmed her heart, but as much as she loved Julian and how he was with her son, she was definitely not ready for marriage. Julian noticed Luca was falling asleep on him and stood up with him in his arms. He turned around and saw Izzy standing there and smiled.
"Hey." Julian said quietly careful not to wake Luca up.
"Hi," Izzy smiled before taking her son into her arms. She walked upstairs to Luca's room while Julian followed and put him on his bed.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" He asked as she closed his door. She nodded while trying to swallow the lump that formed in her throat. They decided to go outside since it was a nice night out and sat on the porch swing in the backyard.
"So…" Izzy said looking over to Julian.
'Don't freak out. Don't freak out. God, this is such a stupid idea. She's going to laugh at you before dumping your ass for being an idiot. Jesus Christ man! Say something!' Julian yelled in his mind before he turned towards Izzy.
"Izzy, I really love you. I never thought it was possible for me to feel this way about someone, but you have shown me that it is. You and Luca have made a serious impression on my life and—"
"I don't want to get married!" Izzy blurted out surprising Julian and she covered her mouth in embarrassment. "I'm so sorry, I saw the box fall out of your pocket and I do love you but I can't even imagine getting married right now. I just think—"
"Izzy, I'm not proposing to you." Julian chuckled and Izzy stared back at him confused.
"You're not?" She asked and Julian pulled the box out of his pocket. He opened it and Izzy stared down at the pretty ring resting inside.
"I'm only promising you that I will someday." Julian smiled and Izzy covered her mouth, this time because she was about to cry. "I'm serious about this—about us. I want you to know that. No amount of distance and time will change that." He told her before slipping the ring onto her finger.
"I love you so much!" Izzy cried before wrapping her arms around his shoulders and kissing him.
"Like hell you're getting married!" Jeff shouted stomping outside. Julian froze in fear while Izzy just rolled her eyes.
"Dad, we're not getting married." Izzy told him and Jeff's anger melted away.
"You're not?" He asked.
"He just gave me a promise ring." Izzy told him and Jeff cleared his throat.
"Yes, well, carry on." He said awkwardly before walking back inside.
"That's another thing that won't change, your Dad will always scare the shit out of me." Julian muttered while Izzy laughed and kissed him again.
