*SPOILERS: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE NEW EPISODES OF SHERLOCK SERIES 4!*
"It took you long enough to read that." Mycroft said still refusing to sit in the chair. "Do I really-"
"Yes." Mrs. Hudson and I said in unison.
"Mycroft, why didn't anyone tell me?" I asked.
"I was protecting you." He took a step towards the chair.
"From what?"
"That is another story for another time, dear sister." He said as if he was reassuring me that I'm still apart of the family.
Mycroft proceeded to tell Sherlock about his sister, Eurus. He said things that weren't normal for the behavior of a young child. Sherlock, at first, couldn't remember her but after a little nudge from Mycroft, he slowly unlocked some memories. I made tea and sat at the desk behind Sherlock. I tuned out the rest of the conversation until I heard a window break.
"What is that?" John asked.
"A drone." Sherlock held out his hand toward me.
"I see that. What's on top of it?" John asked another question.
"Motion sensor grenade. " Mycroft said as Sherlock laced his fingers with mine, "Order a few of these."
The drone landed on the floor and a red light poked out. Sherlock squeezed my hand. They started to figure out the damage and how long until Mrs. Hudson walked out back. After the count down from 3 Sherlock and I jumped out of the same window.
"Stefani?"
"I'm okay." I said grasping Sherlock's jacket, "I'm coming with." I coughed.
"No."
"I'm laying in the debris of our apartment. I have been kept in the dark about my life." I stood up, looking down on Sherlock, "Last time you left me behind, I knew nothing about anything. I'm coming with and there is nothing you can say or do to convince me otherwise."
"Stef I don't know what's going to happen."
"With the way my life has taken a turn, what's the worse that can happen." I held out my hand, "Let's go talk to your sister."
"Sherlock." I jerked myself awake, "What the hell?"
"Now, now." Moriarty's voice came on the intercom, "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth." A female voice came on, "Wait, you don't know where you came from."
"Who are you?" I asked looking around the empty room, "Am I speaking with Eurus?"
"You don't get to speak my name." She said, shutting the lights off, "How about a film to help jog your memory."
A movie came on wall. A short clip about my life really. About what happened. I was an only child. How do I know this? The pictures only showed my parents… My dead parents. Then a moving clip came on… I was happy. My parents loved me. Before a flood of good memories, the room went dark again. And screams started to play. It was a collection of screams, crying, laughing, and destruction. I don't know how long I was in that room but it was long even for me to just about go crazy and pass out. When I woke up, I found myself in a hospital bed.
"Good morning, you're going to need to take it easy. You stressed yourself out enough that you passed out." The nurse said.
I looked around the room and saw Sherlock's coat draped against a chair, "Where is he?" I pointed toward the coat.
"I think he said something about a cup of coffee." The nurse replied leaving the room as my heavy eyes closed.
"Stef?" I heard a soft whisper, "Are you awake?"
"Sherlock?" I opened my eyes.
"Guess again." Moriarty said choking me.
"Stefani snap out it!" Sherlock yelled grabbing my arms, "It's okay, I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. It's okay Stef, you're safe." He said calmly.
With my eyes closed, I could hear the screams, the laughter. Moriarty.
"Stef, open your eyes." Sherlock pleaded but I shook my head.
"I'm scared Sherlock."
"Why?"
"I'm scared that I'm going to see something else."
"Stefani listen to me, whatever happened, I'll help you through it. Trust me."
I slowly opened my eyes to Sherlock sitting on the edge of the bed, lightly holding my hands, "My life is a lie Sherlock. I don't know who I am."
"You're Diane Stefani Scarlett Holmes." He said softly with a small smile.
"You know what I mean." I pulled my hands from his.
"I know. I'll help you find them. I promise."
"She hasn't spoken since she left the hospital." John informed Mycroft.
Mycroft nodded his head and John left the living room, "Stefani," He spoke softly.
I was sitting on the small ledge of the window watching the cars and the people moving on with their lives. I haven't spoken much because I haven't slept. I look out the window because I'd rather watch the people who have their lives together opposed to me trying to fix mine. With Sherlock helping John and visiting his sister, Mycroft drops in. He tries to find information about my family but he hardly has time for it.
"Stefani," Mycroft repeated, "I found something about-"
"Not now."
"I'm sorry. I thought-"
"I'm not ready Mycroft." I looked him in the eye, "I can't read about my family, about where I came from. Not in this state of mind." I choked.
"What can I do?" He sincerely asked.
"Why are you doing this? You've never taken this much interest in me."
"Blood or not, you're still my sister."
"And you're stuck with us." Sherlock smiled setting down his violin and unbuttoning his jacket, "How are you?"
"Exhausted." I replied, "I can't sleep. I keep seeing… things." I rested my head against the window.
"What do you see, Stef?" Sherlock sat on the arm of the couch.
"Moriarty." I whispered.
"Moriarty?" Mycroft straightened his posture, "You've had no contact with him."
"Interesting." Sherlock look toward the ground, "Have you shown her the file?"
"She said she wasn't ready to read it."
"Stefani-"
"I'm not ready Sherlock. Don't force me." I snapped.
"I think it would be in your best interest." Sherlock said gently, "You know I wouldn't force you to do anything you weren't ready for."
"I know… I'm going to try and take a nap before dinner." I said going to his room, closing the door.
"What does the file say?" John asked noticing Sherlock staring off in the distance.
"I didn't read it." He replied standing from his chair.
"You're a terrible liar, now what did it say?"
"John, I didn't read it." Sherlock said about the walk down the stairs.
"Don't think I haven't noticed." John called out.
"Noticed what?" Curiosity can be heard in his voice, "You got lucky on my Birthday, don't think that-"
"She's Moriarty's sister isn't she?" John asked searching for some things for Rosamund at the desk.
"How-"
"Why else would she be hallucinating about someone she never met. Her memories are torturing her, aren't they?"
Sherlock took a deep breath, walked back and forth to and from the door as if he was going to say something to John but nothing was ever said.
"Is it true?" I asked as Sherlock slowly turned around, "Before Mary died she told me I look familiar. She never said who it was but she did say that I looked like someone who would enjoy watching people suffer. At the time, I'm not sure what she meant by that but now, after everything that has happened…"
"Half." Sherlock spoke, "Half sister. His father cheated on his mother."
"I don't know what's worse; being stuck with you or being a half sister to a dead consulting criminal." I managed to grin.
"How about a bit of both." Sherlock chuckled rubbing the back of his neck.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Stef, it's about Christopher-"
"No. What's done is done." I turned around as Sherlock grabbed my shoulders.
"Greg found him." He whispered, "He shot himself. He left a note saying he regretted what he did. He loved you."
I took a deep breath, holding back the tears, "Like I said, what's done is done." I said going back to Sherlock's room to cry.
This is all that I have right now. If you have any suggestions or something you would like to see more off leave a comment and I'll work some magic (don't worry, if I use your idea I promise to give you the credit for it). But I'll be back with more when I can! I know it wasn't a lot of updates but I do hope you enjoyed this. Hopefully later on I can do more fillers.
