I fell to my knees. I couldn't believe what happened. I failed. All the promises I made to protect her were crushed to pieces. I was crushed to pieces.

And then it took me. The anger took over. I grabbed the dirt in my hands and started to crush it. A beat up Patamon flew to me.

"T.K..." He said to me in an angry tone.

I grabbed my D-3 and squeezed it in my hand.

"Kill them all..." I growled.

My D-3 started to glow a deep red.

"Patamon rage digivolve to...Angemon."

This Angemon was different. His wings were red and where there was blue before was all red.

"They will pay." Growled Angemon.

The Snimon saw this and started to fly away in fear.

"YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE!" "HAND OF DESTRUCTION!"

The beam attack went striaght towards the closest Snimon and exploded on contact taking out 2 more Snimon.

"T.K!"

I turned to see Ken running towards me.

"I understand your pain, but if you don't stop you'll give into your rage, and then darkness."

I clenched my fist and turned my back to him.

"It doesn't matter. They have to die."

Angemon continued to destroy the Snimon. They screamed in agony.

"Don't stop Angemon, make them suffer."

"T.K STOP!"

I turned and saw Matt running towards me.

"That's not Angemon! That's a shadow of him. Stop him now."

I looked at Matt and then saw Angemon slay the last Snimon.

"There, he stopped." I said walking past him and towards Angemon.

"KARI!"

Tai fell to his knees and weeped to no end.

"KARI COME BACK PLEASE!"

"T.K!" I turned around and saw a fist coming at me directly.

It landed and knocked me to the ground.

"YOU SAID YOU COULD PROTECT HER!"

I looked up and saw Davis standing over me. He pounced on top of me and landed another punch on the face.

"I KNEW YOU COULDN'T DO IT, YOU'RE NOTHING, I HATE YOU!" Davis was about to land another punch when Matt and Ken stopped him.

"GET OFF ME! TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF OF ME NOW! THIS IS YOUR FAULT TAKAISHI, YOU DID THIS, YOU! AAAAAHHHH!"

Davis wailed with sadness. Matt and Ken let go of Davis and just looked down in defeat.

"Its not your fault T.K, its not true." Yolie whispered. I couldn't believe that.

His words stung more than the punches. As much as I didn't want him to be right, it was my fault, I couldn't protect her.

"Angemon, de-digivolve..."

He did as I said.

I looked around at all of us, on our knees or in shock standing up, broken down, we were defeated.

"I have to find her body..." Moaned Tai.

He stood up slowly and slowly made his way to the pit of rocks where Kari was buried under, all the while still crying uncontrollably.

I looked at the dirt on my hands. It completely encapsulated the skin on my hands, becoming black with dirt. Patamon was laying down next to me, tired from the day's events.

I looked at everyone who lay by the pit, tired and given up. We couldn't find her body.

At first we tried picking up the rocks but some were too heavy to lift even for the digimon. Digmon tried to dig underneathe the rocks amd around but it only caused the rocks to shift and possibly cause a rock slide insode the pit. We couldnt vaporize the rocks or else we could damage or vaporize the body. There was nothing we could do. She was trapped there forever.

I saw Davis staring at me, blinded with hate. He was still ready to go.

We both knew that it was the gas causing us to act like this, but it didn't matter. We needed to fight. But not now, he knew that and so did I.

"What am I going to tell mom and Dad Matt?" I said dryly. All the tears that I had were used up, I couldn't cry anymore.

"That she died because I thought it was a good idea that she came here to fight? What was I thinking? Who does that?"

Matt stayed quiet. There was nothing he could say.

"Tai."

I turned around and saw Davis.

"I swear to you, i'll find a way for her to be back to us. This is the digital world, miracles can happen here."

I wanted to believe his words, but even I didn't dare to hope.

I just shook my head and turned away.

Suddenly I saw a light show up and turned to see Patamon digivolve to Pegasusmon. T.K in turn hopped on to him.

"T.K WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" Yelled Matt. Pegasusmon flew away and T.K turned back around and looked. Only he wasn't looking at Matt, he was looking at Davis.

"Fine..." Said Davis.

He started to walk away and Veemon followed.

"Davis where are you headed?" Questioned Cody.

Davis turned and answered, "To finish things."

Davis continued walking, "I'll see you guys later."

"If we're gonna save Kari, find the digimon who attacked us before, and defeat T.K and Patamon, we need to find you a way to become even more powerful Veemon."

We made camp for the night after traveling all day. Trying to figure out a plan.

"We have to be a lite honest about ourselves Davis. I can't beat Patamon head on without digivolving on my own to a new level."

"If only we could..no... I don't think its possible.

"What Davis?"

I smirked. "You remember..."

I felt like a ghost wandering through a dark hallway. I could hear someone moaning in sorrow. Trying to call out to anyone listening. The more I moved the louder it got. The closer I seemed to get, the more I realized it wasn't moaning, it was someone saying something. Almost a chant. I then couldn't move, my body frozen except for my head. I looked to my right and saw a crushed corpse.

"AAAHHHH!" I suddenly screamed waking myself up. Patamon awoke too. "Are you okay T.K?"

I looked at him. "Yea, i just had the dream again, but it wasn't moaning, it was chanting."

"Maybe its a sign, maybe Kari is alive!

I shook my head and lay on the ground again . "No ..."
