Author Notes: Sorry for the late update, I decided to rewrite the whole thing in the Ice Kingdom Arc and it took me a while before I was satisfied. I honestly believe that the following chapters will be worth your time friends. Leave a review if you agree!

Chapter 7: Ice Kingdom
Daisuke, V-mon, Leomon and Airdramon set out the following morning. After a small argument with Airdramon, the Digimon agreed to use Vamdemon's cart and carry all of them. This ride was more comfortable that the previous one, as Daisuke found a chance to take a nap as they travelled.
Vamdemon had provided them with warm clothes, as well as a bit of food to go by for a few days. However, even with Airdramon it was expected to be a long trip; Ice Kinngdom was at Freezeland, the icy area way north. Vamdemon and Airdramon both said it would take at least two days to reach the place. Leomon took this chance to inform Daisuke and V-mon about the dangers they were about to face.
"You see, now we know for sure we are dealing with Ice Stone, the Digital Army has gathered enough force to fight the Dark Army of that human. Some Digimon you are familiar with, Seadramon and MegaSeadramon also belong to this force." explained Leomon.
"Seadramon? She is all right then?" exclaimed Daisuke, happy to hear his friend was doing just fine, alongside with her son.
"She is fine. We also have many other brave Digimon with us, like the Tyranomon tribe and a horde of Yukidarumon. Also, one of the Digital Army Generals, Beowulfmon, is there." went on Leomon.
"Beowulfmon? Digital Army Generals?" asked V-mon.
"The Digital Army Generals consist of three Ultimate Digimon who formed the Army. They are really powerful, more powerful that all of us could ever imagine. They work hard to make sure we are victorious and safe at the same time. With your help Daisuke, we might have a winning chance. I am sure the human has sent a Digital Captain, maybe even two. We are sure to expect a hard battle." said Leomon. Daisuke looked a bit worried now that they were finally near Freezeland. The weather went cold almost suddenly and he was shivering, although he knew it wasn't just from the cold.
"Don't worry Daisuke. I will do my best to assist you in this fight. As Lord Vamdemon's represantive, I will make sure to play a leading role in this fight." said Airdramon from ahead of the cart.
"I will also stay with you. It's not safe for you to be alone. If we had the rest of the Chosen Children with us, it would be great for us." said Leomon.
"Sorry Leomon, but I won't call them. Some stuff happened and.. Well, I would rather they won't come. Besides, I am sure right now they are searching for Miyako and Iori's Tags." said Daisuke.
"I see. Well, it's also important to get the new Crests. Hold tight now, we will arrive soon."
After that, the group went silent. Daisuke looked outside of the window. Just one week had passed since that incident. During those long seven days, he had expierenced many things, made new foes and allies. Now he was heading towards a war. Although he jumped towards it, he couldn't help but feel scared. However, Jijimon's last words still echoed inside his head.
"Save.. The Digital.. World…"
Daisuke shook his head. Jijimon's memory pained his a lot. Without wanting to, he remembered the small baby Digimon that also perished with Jijimon. He remembered OujoVamdemon, dying to protect the small Gikamon. He remembered Oakmon, who died to protect Daisuke. A rage filled him once more. It was that human's fault. Daisuke had to find him and give him a good punch. Maybe two.
"We are here. Wake up Daisuke." said quietly V-mon and shook Daisuke's shoulder. The boy opened his eyes. He must have drifted asleep. Yawning and streching, he jumped from the cart. Airdramon was resting, tired from the journey. Leomon waited for Daisuke patiently to wake up. When he noticed him, he motioned to follow him.
Daisuke followed. Soon they reached a large gate. They were at a fortress. A flag bearing a Digitama and a crossed sword and spear could be seen.
"The symbol of the Digital Army." said Leomon.
Two Yukidarumon stood guard. They saluted Leomon, who waved back at them. They also saluted Daisuke and V-mon before opening the gate.
Digimoan Analyzer
Yukidarumon! A snowbear type Data Adult Digimon! Yukidarumon despite its appearance has a warm heart! Its special attack Zettai Reido Punch, which freezes the opponent when hit!
The group passed the gates. Behind them, many Digimon were preparing for the battle. They all seemed glad to see Leomon was there. They were even happier when they saw Daisuke and V-mon.
"Now that a Chosen Child is with us, we have nothing to fear!"
"We will take the Ice Stone back at the Castle!"
"The Digital Castle. It's the fortress of the Digital Army, the main one. There the three Generals reside, although they almost never stay. All Digimon who enlist to the Army go there. You won't find a safer place." explained Leomon. Daisuke nodded, as he started getting nervous. They were expecting too much from him. Leomon leaded Daisuke outside of a big tent.
"Beowulfmon is here. Mind your manners Daisuke." Daisuke gulped down and entered. He saw a large table first. At the back row, a large Digimon was sitted, staring at a map. He was covered in armor and besides him, a two bladed sword was resting. He was really tall. Daisuke suddenly felt small.
Digimon Analyzer
Beowulfmon! An Ultimate Vaccine type Digimon! Beowulfmon is one of the three Digital Army Generals! He holds great power and authority although he is a bit of a pervert! His special attacks are Frozen Hunter and Beo Saber!
"Leomon! Yo man! Good to see you here! I was taking a break from Midori-chan and was now looking at the map!" said Beowulfmon. His voice was really friendly.
"Midori-chan?" asked V-mon. Beo raised a porn magazine.
"Beowulfmon! Will you ever stop being like this? We have a battle ahead of us!" roared Leomon. Daisuke sweatdropped. Suddenly, the image he had for Beo had completely vanished…
"Now now, relax mate! What's life without a warm cup of chocolate and without a good magazine? Hahahahahaha! Hahahahaha!" said Beo and laughed really hard.
"Anyway, here is Motomiya Daisuke, a Chosen Child with his Digimon partner, Daisuke. They are here to help us." said Leomon and introduced the pair.
"Hoho! Daisuke and V-mon huh? Glad to meet you! Here, as something to remember me by, I will give you Midori-chan!Limited Edition!" said Beo and offered another porn magazine to Daisuke. The boy blushed.
"No thanks. I am not into those." he said.
"WHAT!? YOU ARE GAY?" yelled Beo.
"WHERE DID YOU GET THAT IDEA!?" roared Daisuke.
"Then.. You are not?" asked Beo.
"OF COURSE NOT!"
"I see. Ah! I get it! You are into big breasts! How about this? Lala-chan limited edition!" said Beo and took out another magazine..
"THIS IS ONE OF THE GENERALS? YOU ARE KIDDING ME RIGHT?" yelled Daisuke.
"Beowulfmon is a bit… like that. Pay it no mind Daisuke." said Leomon.
"Hahahaha! Well, it's good chatting and all, but we have work to do. Leomon. Tell me about Vamdemon." said Beo. All of a sudden, he changed completely. He was serious now, as a strange aura surrounded him. Daisuke stood in awe. Maybe Beo did all that to make Daisuke relax?
Leomon recounted all what happened so far, including Daisuke's search for the Crest. Beo was silent as he heard Leomon. Then he sighed.
"Poor Oakmon. I always told him to leave that place and seek refuge at the Castle. That would never have happened. But.. He made his decision. The least I can do is pay my respects. Without him, Daisuke would never have found the Crest. And without that, we would never be able to beat the human." said Beo and stood up. He walked towards the tent's window and looked outside. A snowstorm was coming. He stayed silent for a while. When he spoke again, Daisuke felt his hair standing up.
"Leomon! Inform the Army! We will head towards the Ice Kingdom, the Ice Sanctuary at dawn! Prepare for battle!" he roared.
"At once. Daisuke, come with me." said Leomon and stood up.
"No. I want to speak with Daisuke for a while." said Beo, without looking at them. Leomon nodded and went out of the tent. Some minutes later, Daisuke heard a battle cry. So it was now official. Soon the battle would break out..
"Chosen Child. No, Daisuke. Why are you here?" asked suddenly Beo. Daisuke didn't expect that question.
"What? To fight of course! I won't have them their way!" he said.
"That's right!" yelled V-mon.
"That's not what I mean. Why are you at the Digital World? Gennai informed a while back that the Gate wouldn't open. But you are here. This means you were here before the Gate closed. Why come here alone?" asked Beo.
"That.." Daisuke stopped at his tracks. V-mon looked at him worried.
"Well, it doesn't matter. You are here. Everything happens for a reason. But learn this Daisuke: this won't be a kid's fight. Nor will it be against the Kaiser, where all you had to beat him is destroy the Evil Rings. We fight to kill. Are you sure you are ready?" asked Beo.
Daisuke started trembling. He had never thought.. no, he didn't want to think about it. He would never come to kill a Digimon. He was here.. For what?
"I don't know. But I have lost many friends due to that guy. That's why I am here. To protect them." replied finally Daisuke.
"Even if it costs your life?" asked quietly Beo.
Daisuke didn't hesitate. He answered at once.
"Even if it costs my life." At that point, Daisuke's Crest lighted up. Beo smiled.
"Impressive willpower. As of now, I accept you being here. But listen carefully Daisuke. Don't go to battle like that. Go like you want to survive. No matter the cost. I won't be able to protect you all the time. A Digital Captain, Belphemon is here. He is an Ultimate Digimon. Also, Deathmon, another Captain is heading towards here. Not to mention the other terrible Digimon that they are with them." said Beo.
"I won't give up. I won't die. I still have a promise to keep." said Daisuke.
"Fine then. Go and eat something warm. I will stay here a little while longer. Then I will too prepare for this fight." said Beo. Daisuke and V-mon left the tent.
Human World, Sora's home
Sora sighed heavily. Two days after the attack and they still weren't able to open up the Gate. She was worried about Daisuke but he would often send a message saying he is ok. However, he sent nothing else, despite Hikari's frequent attempt to learn about what he was doing. All they knew is that he found his Crest, the Crest of Will.
Will. That was Daisuke all right.
She sighed once more. Just as she was about to cook dinner, she heard the bell ringing.
"Coming." she replied and rushed towards the door. She opened it to find Iori. She was surprised to say the least. She would never expect Iori to come at her. He was far too shy to do so.
"Hi!" exclaimed Upamon, sitting at Iori's head.
"Good afternoon Sora-san. May I come in please?" asked Iori.
"Sure, come in." said Sora and opened completely the door for him to enter. Iori slipped off his shoes and headed towards the living room.
"You can sit down Iori-kun. Do you want something to drink? Tea?" she offered. The boy declined. Sora sat down and looked at Iori, smiling warmly at him.
"So? What's wrong?" she asked.
"Well.. It's.." started Iori but no sound came out.
"Take your time." said Sora and studied the boy. Iori let out a deep breath. Then he spoke with more confidence.
"Well, it's about Daisuke-san. I am worried." said Iori. Sora didn't reply. She knew Iori hadn't come all this way to say just this.
"Sora-san, what's it like to lose someone you love? Someone really close to you? Daisuke-san lost his mother just a week ago. However, it looks like he forgot all about it. Even after Miyako-san's encounter with him, he still didn't seem he was sorry about it. Now he says he found his Crest. Doesn't he feel.. Sorry?"
Sora blinked. Then she smiled.
"It's Daisuke's way to deal with it. I am sure he always thinks about it. That's why he went to the Digital World. Thinking that staying for a while there would be good for him, he jumped towards it. I can't say I understand how he feels, but I am sure he is feeling lonely right now." said Sora.
"If he is feeling lonely, he can come to us! We are his friends!" yelled Iori.
"I think he feels lonely because of that. All of you, all of us have our parents who care about us. You would never think about your mother leaving, or not being there for you. You always take it for granted that she will be there, ready to cook for you, wash your clothes, take care of you. Daisuke suddenly lost all that. He doesn't feel ready to accept that truth and until he does, staying with any of us would cause him pain. But don't worry; Daisuke will come back. What we have to do as his friends is to wait for him. And when he comes back, let him cry his heart out." said Sora.
Iori didn't know how to reply to this. However, he felt reassured. Daisuke wasn't angry at them because of their argument. He just needed time.
Digital World, Freezeland, Digital Army Fortress
The very next day, Daisuke and V-mon woke up really early. Daisuke was scared of what he was about to see but he didn't show that to V-mon. The pair stood silent at the front row of the battle line. All were waiting for Beowulfmon. He appeared and stood in front of them.
"The time has come. Give it your best. To VICTORY!" he yelled.
"TO VICTORY!" everybody yelled.
The gates opened. All Digimon ran outside, where a huge army was also assembled. They all let out a cry as they jumped into the fight eagerly. Beo was searching for his opponent. When he found him, he ran towards him. Leomon and Airdramon stayed with Daisuke. As they were about to enter the fight, a BlueMeramon appeared in front of them.
Digimon Analyzer
BlueMeramon! A Perfect Level ice type Digimon! BlueMeramon is said to come from Meramon, but his flames went cold after sumbitting to evil! His special attack is Ice Bomb!
"Air Blast!" roared Airdramon. The attack hit BlueMeramon but didn't do much damage. The Digimon laughed and roared. Five more BlueMeramons appeared.
"Damn! We are surrounded!" yelled Daisuke.
"ICE BLAST!"
An attack that came out of nowhere knocked down the group Digimon. Daisuke turned to see MegaSeadramon with her son.
"MegaSeadramon!" he exclaimed happily.
"Daisuke. I am glad to see you are ok child. Now, leave them to us!" said MegaSeadramon calmly.
"Thanks!" yelled V-mon and they made to leave.
Airdramon noticed a Yukidarumon have trouble with a Gotsumon like Digimon.
"Meteormon. I will help this area." said Airdramon and charged.
Digimon Analyzer
Meteormon! A Perfect Data Digimon! Meteormon looks a lot like Gotsumon but their strength is not even comparable! Its special attack is Cosmo Flash!
"I am counting on you! Airdramon!" roared Daisuke as they went past him. Suddenly, another Digimon appeared, this time resembling Leomon.
"Panjamon!" roared V-mon.
"Let's go V-mon!" yelled Daisuke and pulled out his D3.
"Wait Daisuke! I will handle him!" said Leomon and jumped in front.
"Leomon. My cousin. It's time to decide who is stronger!" said Panjamon in a cold voice.
Digimon Analyzer
Panjamon! A Perfect Vaccine lion type Digimon! Panjamon is the cousin Digimon of Leomon! Panjamon is normally a Digimon who fights evil but this one has completely turned his back to good! His special attack is Hyoujuuken!
"But Leomon! Let me help!"
"Leave Daisuke. You must help the other Digimon who are fighting." said Leomon and jumped at Panjamon. The two lion Digimon growled as they were fighting with their daggers.
"Daisuke! Look at that!" yelled V-mon, taking Daisuke's attention. Daisuke looked at the direction V-mon was pointing. An ice castle.
"The Ice Sanctuary! There is the Ice stone! Let's go and take it!"
"Got it pal! Let's go!" yelled Daisuke and they ran towards the ice castle. Behind them, a man that was completely cloaked and riding a book that floated, laughed and followed silently.
Meanwhile, Beo had reached the opponent he was looking for. Belphemon.
"Welcome, Beowulfmon." said the large Digimon.
"Why, thank you Belphemon. However, I am not here for chit chat. I am here to kill you, once and for all." said Beo and raised his two bladed sword.
Digimon Analyzer
Belphemon! An Ultimate Demon Lord Digimon Virus! Belphemon looks like a large devil and he is a fearsome opponent! His special attacks are Lampranthus and Gift of Darkness!
"We shall see who kills who Beowulfmon." raored Belphemon and charged. Beo blocked him his large claws with his swords.
"Heh! This will be better than reading Midori-chan!" roared Beo and tried to slice Belphemon.
Now, the fight has started. Can the Digital Army win against the vast army of Belphemon? Will Beowulfmon manage to defeat the Demon Lord? Will Daisuke manage to take the Ice Stone?
