Greed, one of the seven sins. A man must first taste all of them to see if he can truly call himself strong. If he succumbs to them, it means he could only go that far.

Chapter 10: The outcome of greed
Seadramon looked at Ken in disbelief. Why would the Digimon Kaiser go out of his way to save her? It didn't make sense at all. And it wasn't like the Kaiser didn't know of BlueMeramon's strength. Still, he wanted to fight him with an Adult Digimon like Stingmon. He had almost no chances of winning; not only they were a level apart, Stingmon was also weak against fire. Seadramon couldn't understand it at all. She was just watching the scene that was unfolding in front of her.
"Hello there, Digimon Kaiser! Why have you come here? Maybe are you here to offer me your Digimon?" laughed BlueMeramonX. Ken frowned.
"I don't think so. I am here to stop this war. Or rather, I am here to protect as many Digimon as I can. I won't let you have it your way!" said Ken furiously. His enemy laughed hard.
"You stop us? It's high time you looked to the truth boy! You have yet to realize that our master simply allowed you to play your little game before! Even with your most powerful creature behind you, Chimeramon, you would easily be crushed against the might of Neo-sama's army!" said BlueMeramonX.
"That might have been the case. But now, I have the power to defeat you, you and your master. Stingmon! Perfect Evolution!" yelled Ken and raised the Crest of Kindness.
"Got it Ken-chan! Stingmon, CHOU SHINKA! DINOBEEMON!"
Digimon Analyzer
Dinobeemon! A Perfect Stage, insectoid Digimon! Its attribute is Virus! Dinobeemon flies in the sky with his four wings searching for his opponent and accurately capture him! His special attack is Hell Masquerade, where he slashes his opponent while leaving afterimages due to his very agile movement!
"Perfect..?" BlueMeramon was out of words.
"I told you, I will stop you."
Leomon vs. Panjamon
After a while, it became clear; even he, Leomon, couldn't handle the strength of a Digimon like Panjamon. Leomon tried to raise his tempo, but Panjamon followed him easily. Now it became a battle of surviving instead of winning; that was the truth behind this battle. However, he, Leomon, would never surrender, no matter what. Not when so many Digimon were willing to risk their lives for a better future. Leomon noticed an opening in Panjamon's defense. That opening came from Panjamon's impatience. Knowing he wouldn't get a second chance, Leomon immediately striked.
"Juooken!" roared Leomon and his attack found Panjamon right at his chest. Panjamon lost his balance for a tiny second.
And that second was enough for Leomon to claim his life. Bits of data formed around Leomon, soon to disappear. Leomon allowed himself to take a deep breath. Then he looked around, ready to help his comrades. His eyes stopped for a minute at Dinobeemon and BlueMeramon. Shocked as he was, it was clear that the former Kaiser wanted to help them. This wasn't the time to argue or refuse any help. However, he realized he would just be in Kaiser's way; so he turned his back to this fight. Then he noticed Beo and Belphemon. He waved his hand; he wasn't as naïve to think that he could do anything in such a battle. So only one path remained.
To help Daisuke and make sure he is safe, at all costs.
Ice Sanctuary, Interior
Daisuke and V-mon were inside the ice castle. There weren't any enemies waiting for them, so they just rushed, trying to find the Ice Elemental Stone. Soon they reached a gate which led underground. After a deep breath, Daisuke stepped forwards, V-mon following suit.
But even amongst this battle, he was still thinking of his dear mother. Just now it occurred to him that he wasn't present at her funeral. Making a note to go see her as quickly as possible, Daisuke went on.
"Daisuke! I see something up ahead!" suddenly said V-mon. Daisuke looked in front and saw that V-mon was right. They could see light at the end of this tunnel. Both partners rushed towards it. When they reached the end, they saw a completely white room with a single stone at the middle of the room, simply floating. Daisuke swallowed hard and took a step. Then another. Now certain that there wasn't any traps laid out for them, he raised his arm, trying to grab the Ice Stone. It glowed at his touch. Daisuke shivered; the stone was cold. But of course it would. It was the Ice Elemental Stone after all. V-mon peered at the stone, looking very pleased.
"All right Daisuke! Now we have the Elemental Stone!" he said ecstatic.
"You sure did. Now however, you will give that stone to me." a voice was heard. Both turned to see a really weird Digimon, sitting on a floating book!
"V-mon, what is that thing?" asked Daisuke, panicking. They had never realized his presence. His partner didn't answer; he didn't know who he was.
"I don't know Daisuke! I just know that is definitely bad news!" said V-mon and walked in front, ready to protect Daisuke.
"Then I shall enlighten you before you die; my name is Wisemon! And I am a Perfect! Now then, give me that stone slowly."
Digimon Analyzer
Wisemon! A Perfect Level, Virus type Digimon! This foe can appear anywhere he wants via the book he is floating onto! The orbs he is holding on his hands are the Space-Time Stones, which record everything that has happened in the Digital World! His special attacks are Pandora Dialogue, which takes his opponent's attack and fires it back with more speed and Eternal Nirvana, which traps anyone and anything within the Space-Time Stones for all eternity!
"Perfect…" repeated Daisuke. Despite knowing that their new opponent was really strong, Daisuke smiled. It was time to test their own strength. He pulled out his D3. "V-mon. Let's go pal." he said. The D3 shrieked and…
"V-mon Shinka! XV-mon!" The blue dinosaur attacked Wisemon head on. The later disappeared and appeared right at the back of XV-mon. He attacked with the corner of his book, tossing away XV-mon several meters. The Digimon cried in pain but quickly recovered.
"XV-mon!" roared Daisuke and help up his Crest. The Crest of Will gave a gentle blue light and once more, the evolution, the further evolution both of the partners desired happened…
"XV-mon, Chou Shinka! Paildramon!"
Now both Digimon were at Perfect Level. Daisuke was sure this wouldn't go as Wisemon expected. Still smiling, he watched as his partner attacked the weird Digimon.
"Desperado Blaster!" roared Paildramon and attacked with his twin blasters. Wisemon simply laughed. He raised one of his stones and Paildramon's attack got sucked in.
"Pandora Dialogue! Desperado Blaster!" yelled Wisemon. Then, Paildramon's own attack appeared from the stone and hit Paildramon. The dinosaur roared in pain and even knelt down. Daisuke's eyes widened from the surprise.
This would be a tough battle.
BlueMeramon-X vs Dinobeemon
"Hell Masquerade! roared Dinobeemon and attacked swiftly the greedy Digimon; the later received the attacked right in the chest, where a small hole appeared. Then, in everyone's surprise, many bits of data flew out of the hole, while BlueMeramon shrinked in size. Pleased with himself, Dinobeemon attacked once more. This time BlueMeramon realized what his opponent would do and swayed to the right, raising his fist as he went. He punched Dinobeemon at his back, making him roar in pain. Not only that, Dinobeemon's wings caught fire. Laughing, BlueMeramon went for the kill.
It was at that moment when Leomon appeared. The lion Digimon at first wanted to go to Daisuke, but realized that Ken and Dinobeemon wouldn't be able to handle both BlueMeramon and the Digimon who were now circling them. With a swift attack, Leomon made BlueMeramon fly back, while he helped douse out the fire by throwing snow to it. BlueMeramonX roared once more, this time more out of rage than of pain. He rose to full height and noticed the Digimon around him. He smirked. He threw many fireballs at them, killing them on the spot. Then he opened his mouth, ready to suck the bits of data, this time much more than last time.
His greed however meant his death.
Leomon sliced his hand off and BlueMeramonX started sucking even more, to repair his cut hand. He opened his mouth even more but then he saw death right in the eye.
Dinobeemon.
With his dagger attached in his hand, Dinobeemon pierced through the greedy Digimon's mouth and neck, finally destroying him. The Digimon responsible for so many deaths, including his partners' death, was no more. As he was slowly decaying, he let out a small yell, before return to nothing and then back to a Digitama, in the village of Beginnings, so far away from them.
Ken sighed in relief, albeit just a moment of it. He looked around; the battle was far from over. The one which was the most dangerous was the fight between the two Ultimate level Digimon. He turned to Leomon.
"Thank you for your help." Ken said, nodding to Leomon. The later waved him off.
"We have no time for this child. We must help Daisuke now. Then maybe this battle will end." said Leomon and ran ahead. Ken nodded and made to run after him, but Seadramon stopped him.
"Wait! Kaiser!" she roared. Ken stopped and turned to her.
"I haven't forgiven you still, but I will thank you for avenging my child." she said. Ken couldn't smile at her; her pain was too great than his own. He nodded once more and followed Leomon, with Dinobeemon at his side.
