Hey guys, MT here!
I'm REALLY sorry for being so late. We celebrated my mom's birthday friday and saturday and I didn't get a chance to work.
Despite that, I hope you like this new chapter.
I am going with the plan I spoke briefly about with TheCuriousReader, but will be adding a twist that may show up next chapter. We'll see. Here I am talking about the next chapter when you haven't even read this one. xD
Anyways, ENJOY!

Chapter 30
Henrietta had just announced the beginning of the festival and cheers erupted from the crowd before everyone began to funnel into the streets to see the stalls and people began to dance in the courtyard as the few bands began to play music.
"Congratulations, Saito-san! You have been promoted to Duke, I guess I should call you Duke-sama, now," said Siesta, jokingly. Saito blushed in embarrassment and laughed at her comment. He received praise from everyone else, save for Louise, who he noticed was staring off with a bit of a sour expression. He was bothered by this but when he thought about it, he assumed she was still mad at him.
"Hey, Louise, let's go and check out the stalls. There might be something you will like there, or maybe they have some games set up," suggested Saito, receiving a shrug from Louise. He knew what she was thinking. He knew she wanted to go, but was just being her normal, difficult self. This woman, thought Saito while rolling his eyes with a grin. He took her wrist and she glanced up at him before he dragged her with him. "Come on! Let's go and have some fun!"
Their time of the festival was spent with Saito dragging Louise from stall to stall, the girl incapable of hiding her excitement when she saw something that she liked, like a silky gown or a golden amulet. Other than that, there were all kinds of games set up such as archery contests, which Saito wrecked and won some more spending money, games to test strength, drinking contests in the nearby pubs, and even a modeling contest, which Louise felt she was too good to participate in.
After awhile, though, Saito noticed that when they weren't distracted by the festival, Louise's sour expression would return, sometimes even stronger than before. It was already around 4 or 5 and Saito decided that he was finally going to confront her about it, mostly because he knew it couldn't have been about what she was mad about that morning.
The two sat in a table outside of a café and were served tea and snacks and Saito watched as Louise's expression returned to its sour one now that she wasn't distracted.
"Louise, what's been going on? You've had a sour expression all day," said Saito, worriedly, causing Louise's eyes to jerk up to look at him. He noticed that? B-But I've been trying to hide it all day, thought Louise in a panic.
"W-W-What are you talking about? I-I-I-I've been fine a-a-a-all day," stuttered Louise, trying to play it off and failing miserably. Saito sighed in annoyance, knowing that she wasn't going to make this easy.
"Louise…" began Saito before stretching his left hand across the table and grabbing hers. He held up both their left hands and pointed to the rings before continuing. "You see these rings? These rings mean that we don't keep secrets from each other. Tell me what's wrong."
Louise looked at him and began stuttering, spewing out things like 'I don't know what you are talking about' or 'nothing is wrong' but Saito only glared at her, causing her to pout and slump down in her chair. She hated it when Saito was mad at her, mostly because he was always so hard to anger that if he was then you know you messed up. She sighed and peeked up at him from under her bangs, catching his intent stare and blushing in embarrassment.
"F-Fine…" she conceded before continuing. "W-Well, I'm happy for you, that you became a Duke, but…I'm worried…"
Saito cocked a brow at her in confusion, not really understanding her reasoning.
"Why are you worried? There aren't any wars or people to fight so I'm not in danger or anything," said Saito, trying to follow her thoughts. Louise sighed, not expecting him to realize it, him not being from their world and all.
"Saito! Do you even understand what being a Duke means?!" shouted Louise, angrily. Saito cocked a brow at her and shook his head, not understanding what she was getting at and his wife sighed in annoyance and rubbed her temples. "Saito, being a Duke means you have to do a lot for both your own land and the countries that sponsor you. It basically means that you are going to be working a lot helping out Germania, Tristain, and Gallia along with dealing with the affairs of your own Duchy and your people."
Saito processed this information and his eyes widened a bit when he realized what she was getting at.
"You're sad because you think I'll be too busy for you?" said Saito, suddenly, causing Louise's eyes to widen a bit at how quickly he realized it and she blushed before turning away in embarrassment. "Louise, I'll always make time for you, I love you."
Louise blushed, violently, at his words, unable to believe he could still make her heart race as if she was a school girl with a crush. They were married now for Pete's sake!
"I-I love you, too, Saito but my father is a Duke, too. Even though he loves my mother, sisters, and I, he can't make time for us because he has a duty to Tristain and the people who live on the Vallière lands. He doesn't have a choice in the matter. There were times that he would be away for weeks, meeting with Henrietta and the government, even other Dukes. I don't want to be away from you for such a long time, like that," said Louise, her eyes becoming glassy. Saito frowned at his wife's reaction, unable to believe that he would ever allow someone to force him away from her for work. He got up from his chair and walked around before wrapping his arms around Louise, causing her to stiffen at the sudden contact. She quickly relaxed into his chest and he only tightened his hug in response before positioning his face next to her ear.
"Louise…why don't we just go away for awhile. Leave and have fun, explore," whispered Saito into her ear, his warm breath causing goose bumps to break out across her skin. She remained frozen for a moment as she pondered this and then nodded, a smile breaking out across her face as a stray tear glided down her face. She turned around in Saito's arms when he loosened his grip and planted a hard kiss on his lips, eliciting some looks from the people around them.
When she broke the kiss, Louise could see Saito blushing furiously, probably because that was the best kiss he had received outside of the bedroom.
"So, who are we telling and where are we going?" asked Louise, curiously, as she and Saito sat back down.
"Hmmm…well for the second question, I thought we could go back to Japan. There's a lot left to show you," said Saito with a small smile. Louise sipped on her tea as she thought about it and was happy with the idea. If we go to Saito's world, then no one can bother Saito and I, like Princess-sama or Tabitha, even Siesta won't be there! thought Louise, excitedly.
"That sounds like fun, I'd love to see more of your world, Saito," said Louise, happily, a bright smile on her face. Saito blushed at how adorable he thought she looked and scratched his cheek while looking away.
"Uh, t-that's good. Anyways, about who we should tell, well I thought Henrietta would have to be told for sure and we could tell everyone else a day or so before we leave so that they don't worry," explained Saito, receiving a nod of approval until he mentioned the last part.
"No! We are not telling anyone aside from Princess-sama. I don't need all of those girls forcing you to take them with you! We both know you're too nice to turn them down," said Louise, angrily. Saito was confused by this but just nodded his head in approval out of fear that she would attack him with Explosions.
"Saitoooo~!" sung out a voice which Louise really did not want to hear at that moment.
Asuna ran towards them, a bright smile on her face. She had been carrying what looked to be a new dress and Chichi was sitting on her shoulder, munching on some fruit.
"Saito! How are you and Louise enjoying the festival?"asked Asuna after reaching them. Saito explained how their trip had gone, leaving out Louise's sadness and their previous conversations. "That's awesome! I found this awesome dress and found some interesting food for Chichi and I. He's still munching on some fruit I got him."
"Cool, I'm glad you have been enjoying it. I thought you'd be with Gwen, though," said Saito, calmly, ignoring the glares Louise was giving him for elongating the conversation with the girl who constantly tried getting at Saito.
"Hm? Oh Gwen-nee-san? She's with Uncle Harold. He wanted to relax and she hasn't gotten to see him in awhile," explained Asuna, smiling brightly.
"Nee-san?" questioned Louise, not really understanding why Asuna was now attaching that to Gwen's name.
"Hm? Oh, Gwen-nee-san is basically my adopted sister now, so I call her nee-san," said Asuna, simply. Even Louise couldn't hold back her giggles at how childish it sounded but Asuna remained ignorant.
"Anyways, how's your arm doing? You got your cast off a couple days ago, right?" asked Saito, concerned that she might still be injured.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, it's good as new. Remember? I heal a lot faster because of my animal powers so a broken arm is nothing. A week is more than enough," said Asuna, proudly. Saito nodded his head in approval and then he remembered something.
"U-Uh…Asuna?" asked Saito, nervously. Asuna and Louise both cocked their heads in confusion at his sudden change in mood and Asuna began to think about his question before freezing and wearing an expression of horror.
"A-Almost three weeks!" shouted Asuna, suddenly, causing Saito to begin shivering in fear.
"Saito? What's wrong?" asked Louise, calmly, confused by her husband's reaction.
"L-Louise, my mother, she…she gets very scary if you anger her and, since it's been so long since I last spoke to her, her worry will probably turn into seething fury when she realizes we just forgot to tell her," said Asuna, Saito unable to reply.
"S-She won't attack me though, right Asuna?" asked Saito, nervously. Asuna stared at Saito with a eyes that screamed 'oh yes she will' and Saito looked at her. "Eh? She really will? Even after I just fought in a war?"
"Not a chance," said Asuna, plainly.
"EHHHHHHH?!" shouted Saito as he sweat profusely. "I'm gonna dieeeeeeee!"
Saito's voice rang through the town and now the camera will leave Saito and appear in front of Queen Henrietta who is currently being accompanied by Agnes and two of the Ondine Knights.
"Agnes! Look at this interesting commoner's game! They seem to throw these small sacks at bottles to knock them over," said Henrietta, her eyes gleaming with curiosity. Being royalty, she never really had a chance to mess around with commoner games and is therefore fascinated by them.
Suddenly, a small cloud appeared in the distance, Henrietta only noticing it because of the screams of citizens as it blew past them. The cloud quickly approached the small group and Agnes moved in front of Henrietta to protect her.
"Your Majesty, please step back. Whoever that is may be dangerous," said Agnes as she prepared for a possible battle. Before she could even pull out her gun, though, said possible enemy had blown past her and stopped in front of Henrietta. Agnes merely stood there, wide-eyed, and confused as to what had just happened.
The dust cleared and Saito appeared, holding a disgruntled Louise and Asuna by their wrists.
"Oh, Saito-dono, you surprised me. Is there-" began Henrietta before being cut off.
"Majesty, going to my world, Asuna, mother, angry, going to die, Louise! Portal now!" shouted Saito in a blur, causing Henrietta to sweat-drop and stare with a confused expression. Louise chanted the World Door spell and the two girls entered before Saito who, just before the portal closed, shouted out something else. "Be back soon!"
The portal closed with a pop and the group merely stared.
"What just happened, Agnes?" asked Henrietta, confused.
"I'm not sure, Your Majesty," said Agnes, just as confused as Henrietta. The two merely stared at where the portal had closed.
So? What did you think?
I couldn't help but laugh as I wrote that last line with Saito. That's how I'd expect him to act if he feared for his life. xD
Also, when I posted this I realized that I wrote 'suggested Saito, only to receive a shrug from Saito' and I was like what? Then I realized I meant Louise. FAIL
Anyways, please Review, and until next time...byeee :D
