Hey guys, MT here!
Here's the new chapter and I hope you guys find it interesting. It's really the beginning of Tenshi's training. Also, I'm sorry it's really short but I've just been tired lately because of the hectic preparations for summer and college. The next chapter will be better, I promise.
ENJOY!

Chapter 42
The next day…
"Alright, Tenshi. We will be starting your training today. How much do you really know about your powers?" asked Louise as she, Tenshi, and Saito stood outside in the same place Saito had been training the day prior.
"U-Um…a-all they said w-was that it's c-called acceleration," said Tenshi, nervously.
"Well, I guess that can be accurate. Your power is the Void magic that lets you move at high speed. I'm not sure what other powers you could unlock but your main one is super-speed," explained Louise. "Do you have a wand, by the way?"
"N-No, I-I've never p-practiced magic before," said Tenshi, looking off, a bit embarrassed. Saito ran over to the house and asked Siesta to get one of Louise's spare wands and he returned several minutes later with a wand for her to use.
"It's a bit smaller than what someone your size would use but it'll do for now," said Saito as he handed her the wand.
"We can always order her one later on. It isn't a huge deal," said Louise. "Anyways, back to business. Do you know the basics of magic at least? Everyone is supposed to know about magic whether or not you use it."
"I-I do, m-m-my parents used to r-read books t-to me a-about it," said Tenshi, looking a bit sad as she said that.
"Alright, then here," said Louise as she handed Tenshi the Founder's Prayer Book. "Now hold it out in front of you and focus on the book. Normally you would know the name of your primary spell, naturally, but it may be easier to see it in the book."
Tenshi nodded, hesitantly, and closed her eyes as she focused on the book. She held it in her hands and, after a moment, it suddenly flipped open and the pages flew along at a quick speed before stopping on a page with glowing words. She opened her eyes and inspected the words before the light in her eyes dimmed and she began to chant words in an ancient language. A moment later she disappeared and reappeared a good twenty feet from where she had previously been. The light in her eyes reappeared and she gasped when she realized she had moved without knowing it.
"H-How…?" said Tenshi, still shocked.
"It's alright. That was your Void powers taking over for a moment. It's nothing to worry about," said Louise, smiling brightly. "Now, try to perform the spell yourself. Just focus on using the spell and come back to us."
Tenshi did as commanded and she closed her eyes and pointed her wand out. She saw words in her head in some language she didn't know but she spoke them without trouble before she reopened her eyes. The world around her was a dim blue and everything seemed motionless. She walked, hesitantly, over to where Louise and Saito were and she waved a hand in front of them, freaking out when they didn't react.
"Um…Um…m-maybe if I chant the spell again, everything will be okay?" said Tenshi, a bit confused by her situation. She did as she had planned and, when she opened her eyes again, the world was its normal luster and Louise was smiling at her.
"You did great, Tenshi! You've already learned how to use your primary spell," said Louise in congratulations. "I think it would be best to practice it often so that you can increase your magical storage. Yours is probably small since you never used magic before."
Tenshi nodded in agreement and was about to say something when they were interrupted by a loud roar from above. Saito went on the defensive, pulling out Derf and everyone looked up only to find Julio riding a gray dragon. Saito sighed, annoyed by the unexpected guest, and re-sheathed Derf.
"You could have told us you were coming!" shouted Saito, causing Julio to grin.
"Now what fun would that be?" shouted back Julio in response.
Julio had left his dragon to sleep in the courtyard and everyone had gone inside to the parlor to drink tea and converse.
"So, Julio," began Louise. "May I ask why the sudden visit?"
"Mmm…well I heard that there was a new Void mage and I was so curious to meet her. What do you know, she is quite the beautiful young lady," flirted Julio, causing Tenshi to blush, brightly.
"Julio, stop hitting on every girl you meet and tell us why you're really here," said Saito, still holding a grudge for the time when he hit on Louise.
"Ah, yes, well, to be quite honest, I have my suspicions of the young miss here. The Valkyrie would be quite angered with us after losing the war, don't you think? What if they had sent some agent to try and attack us from the inside, hm?" said Julio, showing his suspicions of Tenshi.
"If you're suggesting Tenshi is a spy you can go ahead and get out of my house," said Saito, angrily, not liking one of his friends being accused.
"Saito's right. Tenshi is really nice. There's no way she could be some sort of spy," defended Louise, equally as annoyed by Julio's statement.
"U-Um…I-I wanted to s-say something about Sir J-Julio's comment," said Tenshi, raising her hand. Julio nodded, signifying she could speak and she hesitated. "U-Um…m-my people a-aren't angry b-but more e-embarrassed because t-they let someone like I-Ivarod do what h-he did. T-They even changed t-the government to e-ensure it wouldn't h-happen again."
"That is quite true but it doesn't quell my suspicions, young miss," said Julio, sternly. "If you are really not a spy then you would not mind if one of your seniors goes through your memories to see if you are not lying?"
Tenshi tensed for a moment, causing Julio to become suspicious and Saito was greatly annoyed by his words. He went up to Julio and grabbed him by the collar, yanking him so that their faces were only inches apart.
"What kind of person are you?! How could you ever use such a method to make sure they weren't a spy? Do you know how invasive and demeaning that is to the person who you're doing it to? Even you have secrets in your mind you would never want anyone to know about and having someone see those memories would be the worst thing of your life!" shouted Saito, angrily.
"If I had no other choice then even my darkest memories would have to be released," said Julio, only angering Saito more.
"Get out of my house and go back to Romalia. I don't want to see you back here until you apologize to Tenshi," said Saito after releasing Julio and walking away.
"As you say, Duke Saito," said Julio as he fixed his clothes. He began to walk towards the door and he paused and turned his head for a moment. "Ah, yes. We found a special room underneath the Vatican. It contains some interesting things for both Gandalfr and Myoznitnirn and their Void mage. You may want to see it sometime."
Julio left afterwards and Saito dropped into his chair.
"That bastard…I try to be angry with him and he says something to catch my interest," sighed Saito, annoyed.
"U-Um…t-thank you f-for defending me S-Saito-sama," stuttered Tenshi, bowing in front of Saito.
"It's no problem, Tenshi. You're one of my friends now, which means I care about you. No one insults my friends, even if it's another friend," said Saito, causing Tenshi to blush, lightly. "Alright, then, why don't we have some lunch before going back out?"
Elsewhere…
"So that is the briefing my beautiful children," said Harold.
"Thank you, Uncle," said Gwen, sweetly. "We'll be going now."
Gwen and Asuna left the throne room after being informed about the new Void mage and began walking to the garden to relax.
"It's been so little time and a new Void mage already replaced Ivarod. I can't believe things work so fast," said Asuna, surprised that it had occurred so quickly.
"Well, they say that the Void mage appear when they are needed and all four aren't usually present unless some kind of catastrophe is going to occur. It was like that when the Ancient Dragon appeared and again when Ivarod led a war against Halkeginia," explained Gwen, causing Asuna's eyes to widen a bit.
"So you think another disaster might happen, nee-san?" asked Asuna, receiving a nod from Gwen. "Well, compared to the last one when you appeared, it had been over half a year until it happened. Who know how long this time?"
"The real question isn't when it's who. A country could have a century to prepare but if they didn't know who was going to attack them, they could never properly prepare," said Gwen, forcing Asuna to think. It was true and in a place like Halkeginia, there were even more possibilities to prepare for. Who knew what the enemy could do?
"Then we'll just have to find them!" said Asuna, confidence brimming. "No matter who they are, they can't hide forever and when they come out, we'll take them down!"
"Teeheehee, you're so energetic Asuna-nee," said Gwen, giggling at her sister's passion. Asuna and Gwen continued to the garden as they spoke about how they would defeat the future enemies.
The question still remains, though…who are they fighting?
So? What did you guys think?
The ending with Gwen and Asuna was something I added to pop the question. Who do you guys think will be the next big enemy? They have to be powerful if all four Void mage have to come together. Also, Julio's a bit racist it seems, since his contempt towards the Valkyrie was pretty bold.
Also, be prepared for an interesting idea I got into my head yesterday. It's still a few chapters off, but I just loved it! Some may be annoyed by it though...well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Anyways, until next time...byeee :D
