Hey guys, MT here!
I hope everyone's having a great day and I've taken note of some of your comments. I plan to start bringing the harem together a bit more as you guys have been right in that I haven't brought it together much. Also, she isn't a CAT! Her name is Asuna! Omg it was so hilarious seeing you guys stumble over her poor name.
Anyways, this chapter is SLIGHTLY shorter than usual but that was because i had to cut it off before i dipped into the next scene.
ENJOY!
Chapter 52
Four days later…
"Saitoooo…you're doing it again," said Louise as she watched her husband pacing back and forth in his study, the stress extremely evident on his face.
Four days have passed since that incident and Saito has basically fully recovered with some help from Gwen. Saito had informed Henrietta about the attack and she convened with all the Halkeginian nations as well as the Valkyrie and Elf nations. Since then, Louise and Tenshi had been training with Tiffa and Gwen off and on as they prepared for a coming battle. Now, Saito has been stressing out about how they could defeat the Dwarves and their technology.
"Well, what do you expect? The destructive power they have is tremendous, almost comparable to my world during our last great war. We have to think of something before they mobilize or we're done for," said Saito before biting his nails.
"Saito, we went over this before the last war, you can't get this stressed. It' not good for you and you won't be able to think properly if you get this worked up," explained Louise, worriedly. Saito stopped pacing and looked over at her.
"Then what else should I do?" asked Saito, wondering what she had in mind. Louise paused for a moment as she thought and she put on a complicated expression.
"Well…I don't like to do it, but Tenshi has seemed a little down since the Dwarves attacked Des Ornières. I think she sees this place as a home so she must have gotten depressed from thinking it was almost destroyed. You should…ugh…just take Tenshi somewhere and make her feel better. You can relax some, too, so it will just be a win-win situation," said Louise, said girl becoming sour as she basically told Saito to take Tenshi on a date. Saito stared at her for a moment, shocked, but smiled after a few moments. He moved over to her and took bother her hands before intertwining their fingers.
"You may act like a tough woman but you're just a big softy, aren't you," said Saito, happily, causing Louise to blush in embarrassment. Saito leaned in and captured her lips, placing a gentle kiss on her lips. When they broke, Louise looked almost dazed by the gentle kiss she hadn't had for quite a long time. Saito laughed and placed his forehead against hers. "I'll go and help Tenshi, love, and then we can continue later."
Louise perked up at the final part and blushed at the thought while Saito left, chuckling to himself.
Saito walked outside to find Tenshi training. She was practicing some martial arts that Vivlio explained to her and showed her diagrams on proper technique. She must have been training for quite a while because she was drenched in sweat and panting from the exertion. Saito watched her for a moment and smiled at how hard she seemed to be working. After several moments, Tenshi noticed him out of the corner and jumped.
"S-Saito-sama! D-Don't scare m-me like that," said Tenshi, startled. Saito only chuckled in response and Tenshi began to wipe her sweat off with a towel nearby. "S-So…how goes t-the planning?"
"It was going alright. Louise said I should take a break, though, before I fry my brain," joked Saito, causing Tenshi to giggle. "By the way…Louise told me that you've been a little shaken up by what happened before. Are you okay?"
"A-Ah…I'm alright, S-Saito-sama. Y-You don't need t-to worry about m-me," said Tenshi, shyly. Saito smiled, brightly, and placed a hand on top of her head, causing her to look up at him.
"Why don't we go into town and have some fun?" said Saito, happily. Tenshi's eyes lit up a bit and some sort of thought crossed her mind, causing her to blush in embarrassment.
"I-I would like that…" said Tenshi, quietly. Saito smiled at her.
"I'll have Siesta call for a carriage then," said Saito as he walked towards the house. A thought crossed Tenshi's mind and she called out to him.
"U-Umm…!" said Tenshi, loudly. Saito stopped and looked back at her, confused. "W-Well, Saito-sama, u-umm…I-I thought just m-maybe…w-well…w-would you want t-to…fly…there?"
Saito stared at Tenshi for a moment, surprised she was being bold about something but smiled.
"I'd love that. Since the Zero was practically destroyed I haven't been able to fly in a while," said Saito, confusing Tenshi as she did not yet know about the Zero. "We can leave whenever you're ready."
Tenshi nodded, shyly, and moved behind Saito.
"U-Um…P-Please forgive m-me if it feels u-uncomfortable," said Tenshi. She wrapped her arms around Saito just under his shoulders and pressed herself to his body. Her enormous, white wings spread out before blowing downward, blasting a powerful blast of air at the ground and lifting the two off the ground. Within a couple minutes the two were already high in the sky and Tenshi was looking forward with a focused expression.
"Wow this is amazing," said Saito as he looked down at the forests below them. Tenshi smiled, happy she could impress Saito, and hugged him tighter to her. Saito tensed a bit as he could feel Tenshi's…ample…breasts pressed against his back. Since Tenshi was training, all she was wearing were some shorts and a sports bra, compliments of Saito's mother who had offered them to Tenshi when Saito checked in with his parents to tell them he was doing alright.
It's been awhile since I've dealt with something like this, thought Saito to himself. I think they're even better than Siesta's.
Saito quickly shook the thought off, yelling at his hormones that he shouldn't think about Tenshi that way.
"A-Anyways, is there anything you want to talk about to make the flight seem faster?" asked Saito, trying to dispel the inappropriate thoughts of prior.
"U-Um…w-well, Saito-sama doesn't talk m-much about before he g-got married to Louise," said Tenshi, curious about Saito's life before marrying his wife.
"Ah, well a lot happened. You know that I became Louise's familiar and there was that issue with the new Albion rebels which were being controlled by some evil magic. And there were those two times where I kind of died," joked Saito. He felt Tenshi tense and their altitude was slowly dropping. "Uh, Tenshi?" Saito could feel himself slipping a bit and he began to panic. "T-Tenshi! I'm slipping."
Tenshi was still frozen from hearing Saito say that he had died and Saito continued to slip.
"Tenshi?" squeaked Saito before finally slipping from her grasp. "WAAAAHHHH!"
"…Huh, w-what?" said Tenshi, finally breaking from her trance at the sound of Saito's shout. She looked down and noticed that he was falling and her eyes widened. "SAITO-SAMA FORGIVE MEEEEEEE!"
Tenshi screamed that while diving towards Saito. She scooped him up in midair and Saito was panting as his heart rate skyrocketed from the adrenaline.
"S-Saito-sama! I-I'm so sorry. I h-heard you say y-you d-died and I f-froze up," said Tenshi as she hugged Saito to her as tightly as possible.
"I-It's okay, Tenshi. We should probably stay away from that topic, though," said Saito as he continued to pant. He could feel Tenshi's shoulders droop a bit in disappointment and Saito thought of something they could talk about. His eyes lit up when he remembered that they had never talked about a certain subject. "Hey, Tenshi, I know that at the beginning you didn't really want to talk about your past…but now that we've become closer, do you want to tell me about it?"
There was silence for a moment and Saito was worried he asked the wrong thing but he felt Tenshi's grip on him tighten, significantly.
"…I-I d-don't think I-I should talk about i-it," said Tenshi, quietly. Saito frowned and decided to prod further since he thought it would be better if she at least spoke a bit about her past.
"Tenshi, we're friends. You can talk to me about anything that's troubling you," said Saito, calmly. Another silence and finally Saito her a light sigh come from Tenshi.
"F-Fine, Saito-sama. A-Although it might b-be a bit a-annoying w-with my s-stuttering," said Tenshi, dejectedly.
"It doesn't really bother me but have you always stuttered?" asked Saito, curiously.
"N-No, I o-only started a few y-years ago," said Tenshi.
"Why do you think you picked up stuttering?" asked Saito, curiously. "The other day when you used that spell to save us, you didn't stutter at all."
"I-I…have…um…k-kind of a f-fear of talking t-to other people b-because I was living o-on the s-street a-and s-sometimes saying t-the wrong thing c-could get you b-beat u-up," said Tenshi, sniffling a bit. Saito was silent as he understood that this was a very touchy subject for Tenshi.
"Tenshi, can we land over by that river?" asked Saito, confusing Tenshi. She did as he said and they landed in a small clearing by a river. Saito walked over to the edge and took off his shoes and rolled up his pants before soaking his feet in the river. He turned to Tenshi and patted the ground next to him. Tenshi walked over to Saito and soaked her feet in the river as well. "Tenshi, I want you to tell me everything from the beginning."
Tenshi's eyes widened a bit at the serious expression Saito had on his face but relaxed and looked towards the river. After a moment of silence, she decided to speak.
"W-Well, if y-you want to h-hear i-it that b-badly, t-then I guess I h-have to," began Tenshi, nervously. "I-I guess I s-should s-start from the b-beginning."
So? What did you guys think?
I hope you enjoyed it and YAY! Tenshi's backstory finally comes into play! I know it's a little random but I it was random with Asuna's too. I guess I feel like Tenshi trusts Saito enough now that she would tell him.
Also, for the Highschool DxD fans out there, I just posted my new fic and I hope you all will check it out!
Until next time...byeee :D
