Hey guys, MT here!
Remember that early chapter last time? Yeah, not again xD
Anyways, this is a bit of a longer chapter because I was so happy that you guys liked Tenshi's back story! I actually came up with most of it on the spot because I wanted to connect Tenshi back to past characters. Especially since I mentioned the previous king and Stradinir wasn't around for very long.
Well, here's the new chapter, ENJOY!
Chapter 54
Tenshi's cries began to die down after around 15 minutes and Saito just sat there and held her, rubbing a hand up and down her back as she let out her emotions. Her cries had finally gotten to a level where Tenshi could attempt to form a sentence and she hugged Saito a bit tighter, rubbing her head into his chest and blushed a bit as she could feel his muscular body underneath his parka.
"T-Thank you, Saito-sama," began Tenshi, making Saito look down at her. "I-I'm so happy…so h-happy that I've found my place."
"Don't worry about it Tenshi. You're our friend and we'll never abandon you," said Saito, happily. Tenshi clutched his shirt, smiling brightly, and rubbed her face into his shirt.
"I'm s-so happy…I l-love you, S-Saito-sama!" said Tenshi, happily, before tensing up after realizing what she just said.
"Haha, we all love you, too, Tenshi," said Saito, causing Tenshi to sigh in relief. Good thing Saito-sama can be a little dense, thought Tenshi. "Now, why don't we go into town and do some shopping to celebrate you opening up to me?"
Tenshi looked up at him and smiled, brightly, before nodding. She wiped the tears from her eyes and held, tightly, on to Saito before launching them in the air and flying towards town.
Meanwhile…
Asuna sat in her room in the castle in Albion. She had her knees pressed to her chest and she was thinking about her situation with Louise and Saito. Although she really had been drunk, she really did want to do something like that with Saito. After all, she did hate herself for doing such a thing to Saito so many years ago. She just wanted their relationship to return to the way it had been. Was she selfish for wanting that after making the mistake she had?
Of course she knew that Saito was with Louise, and she wasn't going to steal him from her, but just once and awhile. Just once and awhile she wanted some kind of moment with Saito to show that he cared about her.
Even if she gave up on the idea altogether, how exactly was she supposed to repair the relationship between her and Louise? She and Saito were both incapacitated so whatever happened was an accident and both accepted that but Louise didn't want to forgive Asuna completely for what happened. After all she did betray her.
Asuna laid down on her bed and groaned loudly before kicking and punching the bed.
"Arrgh! How am I supposed to fix this?!" shouted Asuna, loudly. She sighed, annoyed, before hearing a light knock on her door. She shot up and cocked a brow, wondering who it could have been. "Come in~!"
The door cracked open and King Harold's head popped in.
"Asuna, dear, is everything all right? I heard you shouting," said Harold, worriedly.
"Ah, sorry about that, Uncle. I was just frustrated about something," said Asuna, blushing out of embarrassment about being heard. Harold came into the room and closed the door before walking next to Asuna.
"Would you like to speak about it? I would love to be able to help you," said Harold before taking a seat on the bed next to her. Asuna fidgeted for a moment as she internally debated whether or not she should talk to Harold about it but decided for it.
"W-Well…Louise and my relationship kind of went downhill after…after…" repeated Asuna, embarrassed to say it aloud to her adoptive father. "I got drunk and slept with Saito!"
Harold nearly fell off the bed after Asuna had finally forced herself to say it and he stared wide-eyed. After a moment he coughed into his fist to clear his throat.
"W-Well, I can see why Miss Vallière would be offended by such an act. Have you spoken with her about it?" asked Harold.
"W-Well…not in depth, no. I'm sure she hates me, though, for what I did," said Asuna before looking off, depressed. Harold frowned and put his hands on his knees before sitting up straight.
"My dear, I do not believe Miss Vallière hates you. She is one who cares about her friends no matter what and I highly doubt that even this situation would change that. Although she may not hate you, she may feel hurt because of the betrayal. I believe you should speak to her about it so that you can both repair the damage that is done. No matter what happens, you two will always remain friends and your relationship will always be repairable," said Harold, seriously. Asuna looked over at him, her eyes becoming glassy.
"H-How can you be so sure? How do you know she doesn't hate me? I mean, I would have hated myself if someone else got that intimate with the person I was married to," said Asuna. She froze when she remembered when she had done that to Saito so long ago and she gritted her teeth. She was such a hypocrite for thinking such a way despite what she had done.
"My dear little Asuna," began Harold as he pulled Asuna into a hug. "You have an air around you that says that you believe yourself to be a bad person for doing the things you have done in your life but you must remember something. Even the people with the most righteous hearts will still make mistakes because you are still a person and as long as you live you will continue to make mistakes as we all do. Now what you can do to make up for those mistakes is to ensure that you set them right. If you do that then you will never have to hate yourself as you are doing right now," said Harold as he held Asuna tightly. Asuna listened to his entire speech and she grabbed onto his robes before crying, loudly. He was right and she knew it. She wanted everything to go back to the way it was before but she didn't want to lose everything she had gained. She wanted to be friends with everyone and fix her mistakes. She wanted everyone to be happy.
Asuna continued to cry into her adoptive father's robes as he soothed her and, just outside the room, Gwen was smiling brightly as she leaned against the door, having heard everything. She pushed off it and began to walk down the hall.
"Thank you, Uncle," began Gwen as she walked. "Asuna-nee really needed that push."
Meanwhile…
"Henrietta, dear, please. I do understand that you are quite busy with the war preparations but do think about the future of Tristain. You must choose a husband eventually to continue the royal family," said Marianne, Henrietta's mother. Henrietta rolled her eyes at her mother's reflection as she fixed her hair in preparation for a meeting with Tabitha and Axel.
"Mother, please, not only is now not the time but I have made it clear that I have no intention to look for a husband as of this time," said Henrietta, sternly.
"Yes, yes, I know that you said that but you know that Duke Hiraga will not marry you as he already has his own wife. Unless you were planning to have a night of intimacy with him in order to conceive a child?" said Marianne, suspiciously. Henrietta couldn't help but blush, brightly, at such a thought and Marianne giggled, lightly. "Oh my, such a scandalous little girl I have. I wonder who she inherited that from."
"M-Mother, please! I would never…I mean, Louise is my best friend I couldn't possibly," said Henrietta, blushing furiously. Henrietta's mother covered her mouth as she laughed at her daughter and Henrietta just pouted and turned back to the mirror, refusing to speak to her mother about such an inappropriate topic.
Meanwhile…
"Milady, are you nearly ready? Your meeting time with Queen Henrietta is nearly upon us," said a maid through the door to Tabitha's room. Tabitha was currently staying in one of the wealthier inns in Tristain's capital and was preparing for the meeting with Henrietta and Axel.
"Almost," said Tabitha, simply. The maid muttered out a worried sound and Tabitha could hear her run off. Irukuku was sitting on the bed, dangling her feet as she waited for her master to finish getting ready. Suddenly, the door was thrown open and Tabitha stared at the one who had thrown it open to find one of the older, and stricter, maids.
"Milady Charlotte, I am fully aware that you know Axel and Henrietta will not be perfectly on time because they are young, such as yourself, however it is still important for you to get there within a reasonable time," said the maid. The maid closed the door, abruptly, and strut over to Tabitha to help her into her clothes and Irukuku moved off to the side, quite afraid of the old maid.
Several minutes into helping Tabitha into her dress and getting her make-up on, the maid remembered something.
"Ah, yes, Milady Charlotte, have you reviewed the suitors who have appealed for your hand? Though you are still young, it isn't too early to begin your search," said the old maid. Tabitha stiffened a bit and the maid sighed, knowingly. "My dear sweet Brimir. It must be that bloody Duke that you and Queen Henrietta are obsessed with. The boy is married, Milady. You should really choose someone else. After all, it is your duty as a member of the royal family to continue it by bearing children."
"Ah! Sister just plans to make an egg with Saito! After all, even if she can't marry him she still wants to have his babies!" said Irukuku from off to the side, enthusiastically.
Tabitha's cheeks flared up in a bright blush and the old maid glanced over at Irukuku with a surprised expression. She looked back at Tabitha and her eyes widened as she noticed the bright blush on Tabitha's face.
"Dear me, is that truly your plan, Milady Charlotte?! Such a reckless thought!" scolded the maid, causing Tabitha to sink down a bit, embarrassed that the maid had found out about her wish. "…Well…it does fulfill your duty as a member of the royal family. And after all I was quite a reckless youngster when I was young. Guess that's why I don't have husband now."
The old maid chuckled a bit and Tabitha relaxed as she felt she was in the clear. She was sadly mistaken.
The old maid smacked Tabitha on top of her head, causing the young queen to clutch her head in pain and pout at the maid.
"That doesn't mean milady can just relax. From what I've seen, that Duke is quite loyal to his wife. You needa try hard if you want to get his attention. You especially need to grow out here," said the maid before cupping the air in front of Tabitha's chest. Said girl pouted and sunk down in the chair. "A woman's bosom is the best way to attract a man. 'ven though his wife doesn't have it doesn't mean he doesn't like 'em. I mean, look at his maid."
The maid finished helping Tabitha as she continued to give her advice on how to seduce Saito, which made Tabitha quite uncomfortable, before leaving the room. Tabitha watched her close the door and Irukuku was at her side, said dragon was still in nothing but an oversized button-down shirt.
"Wooow! Sis looks so pretty!" said Irukuku, enthusiastically, as she leaned over to look at Tabitha in the mirror. Tabitha glanced over at her dragon familiar and could clearly see the enormous…oh to hell with it…breasts that hung from her chest. Tabitha looked down at her own pathetic chest and fondled the air in front of them before sighing in self-loathing.
Tabitha got up and walked out of the room, depressed, leaving a confused Irukuku behind as she went.
So? What did you guys think?
So many things to cover and only so much time in each chapter! I've decided to bring together the harem once more and begin the Asuna-Louise relationship reparation plan! Man that was a mouth full.
Either ways, what did you guys think? As far as Henrietta and Tabitha's roles in the harem, since Saito is married I thought their goals to bear his children would be a good drive for them to continue trying to get at him. Do you think Louise would forgive either of them if they did indeed bear one of his children? I feel like Henrietta would be mostly forgiven since she is Louise's best friend and Louise would be more understanding of her...or not. Let me know what you think in the Reviews!
Anyways, until next time...byeee :D
