Slipping through my fingers

The next morning, Paris and Zandra laid panting heavily into her bed. Neither one of them had gotten any sleep during the entire night. Zandra chuckled satisfied and ran a hand through her auburn hair.

''Wow, we haven't done that for a long time.'' She said and turned around to look at him. Paris laughed and sighed.

''It's been awhile.'' He replied her and wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her onto her lips. Zandra sighed and sat up and wrapped the covers around herself and was about to get out of bed, but Paris grabbed her wrist and pulled her back down onto his chest.

''And where do you think you're going?'' He asked and placed the palm of his left hand onto the back of her neck.

''To get dressed. If you haven't forgotten, we have a business to run.'' She said with a seductive smile and frowned her eyebrows.

''Well, I don't think anyone would notice if we were five minutes late.'' He said and ran his hand down from her neck down her back, pulling her closer to him. Zandra grinned and leaned down until her lips brushed his, but right before she was about to kiss him, she pulled away and got out of bed, dropping the covers to the floor, making Paris smirk and bit his lip as his eyes wandered down her underdressed perfect shaped body.

''You'll just have to wait until tonight.'' She purred seductively before going inside the bathroom. Paris laid back down onto his back and growled in frustration.

''I had forgot how much of a tease you where.'' He called to her, but with a wide grin onto his lips. Zandra came back outside, dressed into dark-red satin bathrobe, pinning up her long auburn hair with a long golden hair tube.

''And you love it.'' She replied him and went inside her walk-in-closet.

Amazonia sat alone into the kitchen, chewing on a piece of fruit as she was thinking about her and Tulio's conversation. She thought about what he had said about it would be best for them all if Paris weren't involved in their lives anymore, and even if she hated to admit it, a part of her might agree with him. But she wasn't sure if she ever would be able to live with herself, if Paris and Chel never found out the truth. After all, they had every right to decide on their own if they wanted to be together or not. She noticed that door opened and saw Chel walking inside with a smile across her lips.

''Hey lady.'' Chel said. Amazonia looked up at her and smiled back.

''Hi, did you just come back? You must be tired from the trip.'' She said. Chel grunted and smiled .

''Is it that obvious?'' Chel chuckled. Amazonia giggled and shook her head.

''Join me. I would love to catch up with you.'' She said. Chel frowned her eyebrows slightly as she sat down opposite Amazonia.

''Is there something on your mind?'' She asked. Amazonia's smile faded away and sighed.

Paris sat into a small dark room without any windows. The only furniture in the room was two chairs and a table and a coffee machine on the other side of the room, and the only light source was a lamp standing onto the table. He gulped slightly and sighed as he nervously hit his fingernail against the table. When he heard a key turn into the lock, he sat up straight and waited for the door to open. Inside a man with a navy-blue uniform walked inside, followed by a man in a white oversized prisoner suit.

''Hi Nick.'' Paris said. Nick frowned his eyebrows and looked at Paris for a second before going over to the coffee machine and poured up a cup from himself. The man left the room and waited outside.

''Where's Zandra?'' Nick asked without looking at Paris.

''She… she's still upset about what happened last time. So she doesn't want to see you right now.'' Paris replied him. Nick turned around to look at him again.

''But you do?'' Nick asked sarcastically, he highly doubted it.

''Zandra is a friend.'' Paris said. Nick nodded and started to walk over to him and sat down on the other side of the table.

''Yeah, what else would she be?.'' He said coldly and looked at Paris for a few seconds before looking down into his coffee. Another few seconds of silence past as Nick finally spoke.

''I suppose you've come here to gloat, you should be overjoyed about this? Isn't this what you wanted?'' Nick glared at Paris. Paris frowned his eyebrows and leaned slightly over the table.

''You have done some really messed up things you know that? You kidnapped Amazonia and tortured her. Do you have any idea what you have put her through?'' Paris hissed. Nick looked down into the table and nodded.

''Yeah, I'm aware of that. I'm really sorry for what happened to her, she didn't deserve that.'' Nick said and looked back up at Paris.

''You know that I'm a man my words.'' Paris nodded. Say whatever you want about Nick, but he meant everything he said and he kept his promises.

''You have my word that I won't bother her again or anyone else in the royal family.'' Nick said. Paris nodded again and it was a relief.

''But then again, you don't belong to it.'' Nick whispered and looked glanced at Paris.

''And you have my word again, that when I get out of here, I'm going to make you pay.'' Nick stood up and leaned over the table so that he and Paris where only a few inches apart.

''And not just about what you did to Leon, you're going to pay for what you did to my sister.'' Nick added before walking back over to the door and knocked on it. The guard outside opened it and let Nick outside, leaving Paris alone again. Paris gulped and shivered. Like he said, Nick was a man of his words.

Chel and Amazonia still sat into the kitchen.

''Tulio told me what happened.'' Amazonia said carefully. She could see how Chel's spirit just took a dive all the way to the bottom.

''Yeah.'' She sighed.

''And I guess my question is, have you stopped hoping that you and Paris ever will get back together?'' Amazonia asked. Chel thought for a second and frowned her eyebrows.

''Do you still love him?'' Amazonia asked.

''Does it really matter?'' Chel replied and shrugged her shoulders. Amazonia sighed and hesitated to say the thing that she wanted, but decided to do it anyway.

''I don't know if you really want to hear this, but I don't think that Paris really betrayed you.'' She said quietly. Chel frowned her eyebrows and smiled slightly.

''I would like to believe that he didn't either.'' Chel said and got up and walked over to the sink and poured up a glass of water.

''But did you ask him straight out, did you have sex with Zandra that night?'' Amazonia asked. Chel nodded her head.

''Yes, yes and he denied it. He said that nothing happened, except that kiss.'' She sighed and went back down to sit down opposite Amazonia.

''Why didn't you believe him?'' Amazonia asked.

''Because he denied that anything happened that night even the kiss, at least until I told him that I knew about it.'' She sighed and shrugged her shoulders, before rested her head into her palm.

''And because Tulio told you he had seen them going upstairs together.'' Chel nodded. Amazonia looked down into the counter for a second before looking back up at Chel.

''Tulio loves you, Chel. He would never want to see you get hurt.'' Amazonia said. Chel smiled and nodded.

''I know.'' She replied her. Amazonia sighed and nodded.

''And forget about Zandra.'' Chel chuckled.

''Well that might be a little difficult, because she's not going anywhere.'' She said and ran a hand through her long red hair and magenta fringe, she then frowned her eyebrows slightly and tilted her head as she looked at Amazonia.

''Where is this coming from?'' She asked curiously. Amazonia gulped slightly and shrugged her shoulders.

''You're a good person, Chel. You deserves what makes you happy. It's so unfair that you don't have it.'' She said. Chel smiled widely and reached out her hand for Amazonia to take and squeezed it slightly, before letting go.

''You know the real problem with me and Paris was Zandra. It was Paris's feelings for her. I didn't realise how deep they where, or still are, not until I didn't have a choice.'' Chel said and brushed a lock of hair from her face.

''You asked if I love him, and I do. Very much. It hurts, and I feel like I'm broken.'' She said as her breathing trembled slightly.

'' I'm waiting for the day I can wake up and not feel the pain of losing Paris.'' Chel sighed and shrugged her shoulders and turned away slightly, trying to prevent from Amazonia seeing the tears in her eyes.

On his way back to the mansion, Paris made a quick stop by the beach-house to check up on Jack and Breanna. Breanna stood into the kitchen area doing the dishes as Paris sat into one of the couches as Jack sat into the other.

''You've got to be kidding me!'' Jack hissed. Paris and leaned back into the couch as he shook his head looked at his best friend.

''What's the matter with you?'' Jack hissed again. Paris sighed and shrugged his shoulder slightly.

''I know that you and Zandra have your differences, but if you think about it, you can gain on this.'' Jack frowned his eyebrows for a second but then realized that he was talking about the whole celibacy issue.

''Hey if it takes for you to share that same bed with Her Royal uptightness, don't do me any favors.'' Jack hissed in spite and folded his arms across his chest.

''Do you love her?'' Jack asked. Paris frowned his eyebrows and dropped his jaw slightly.

''Of course I love her, why do you even ask me that?'' He spat irritated.

''Okay, let me rephrase the question. Do you love her the same way you love Chel?'' Jack asked. Paris groaned and ran a hand through his hair.

''I share many memories and a past with Zandra.'' Paris spat.

''It's not like I just picked up a random girl at the bar or anything, I'm not you.'' Paris hissed back at him. Jack gasped slightly and gulped. He shook his head and turned away and saw Breanna glancing at him. Shit! That was the last thing he needed. Now Breanna would think that he was even more of a pig that she already did. Jack sighed and ran a hand through his raven hair before looking back at Paris.

''Look all I'm saying is that I think you got back together with Zandra because of all the wrong reasons. You're settling up for second best, and you deserve more than that.'' Jack said.

''Can you look me straight in the face and tell me that I'm wrong?''

''If Chel wanted you back, would you take her back?'' Jack asked. Paris sighed heavily and turned this head away. All he knew was that Chel never would.

Paris sat behind the desk working on some papers, while Zandra sat onto the desk on the others side looking through some photos at her tablet. He still hadn't told her about his little visit to Nick in prison before.

''Oh look, look, look.'' She said and turned the tablet and showed him a picture of himself from the old days. Paris growled and rolled his eyes.

''You know that one day, while you're asleep I'm going to take that and delete all of you photos on me.'' Paris said and looked up at him. Zandra frowned her eyebrows and stood up.

''If you do, you'll live to regret it alright?'' She said and walked over to the windows and leaned against it was she continued to look through the old photos. Paris grinned and stood up and walked over to her.

''Okay, how about I video you while you snore and then play if for you all the time.'' Zandra gasped.

''I do not snore!'' She said and hit him playfully at his chest.

''Oh you do, just the cutest little snuffles.'' Paris grinned and imitated some quite grunts. Zandra chuckled and shook her head.

''Stop it.'' She laughed and turned back down to look at the tablet. Paris wrapped his arms around her shoulders and placed his chin onto her shoulder as they both laughed at something at the tablet.

''Paris?'' They both turned around to see Amazonia peaking inside. Zandra and Paris stepped apart slightly.

''Hi.'' Paris said surprised as he frowned his eyebrows. Amazonia let herself in and shut the door closed slightly.

''Hey, how's it going?'' Zandra smiled and her. Amazonia replied her smile and nodded her head.

''Good, good. You?'' She asked. Zandra glanced over at Paris for a second before smiling widely.

''Never been better.'' She said.

''What brings you here?'' Paris asked and folded his arms across his chest.

''I actually wanted to talk to you.'' Amazonia said.

''You seem tense, what's going on?'' Paris asked concerned. Amazonia looked down at the floor for a second before looking back up at him and sighed.

''I'm just trying to sort a couple of things out. Look, there's something you need to know.'' Zandra turned around to look at Paris, but he looked just as confused as she did.

''You're so serious right now. What's wrong?'' Paris asked concerned and looked at Amazonia confused. Amazonia battled with herself about telling him the whole truth. Zandra looked at her and saw the uncomfortable place she was in.

''Should I leave? I don't want...'' She began, but was interrupted by Amazonia shook her head.

''No, no.'' She said. Zandra looked back at Paris before turning back to Amazonia again.

''I really don't mind.'' She said and slowly started to walk towards the door.

''This actually involves you too.'' Amazonia said and sighed, making Zandra and she became more confused that she already was.

''Okay.'' She asked and frowned her eyebrows.

''Am I interrupting something?'' A voice came from behind and Amazonia turned around to see Tulio standing in the doorway. She cursed in her head and turned away from him.

''Well, Amazonia was just going to tell us something.'' Paris told him and looked back at Amazonia. Tulio frowned his eyebrows and Amazonia could feel his eyes in her neck.

''Well she better hurry then, because we are late for our check-up appointment. So Amazonia if you have something to say, say it now or it will have to wait.'' Tulio said to her. Amazonia turned around to look at her husband and glared irritated at him, before turning once again back at Paris and Zandra.

''I was with Chel earlier. She still loves you Paris.'' She said and slowly backed away over to Tulio.

''That's all I wanted to tell you.'' She said before quickly leaving the room. Paris still confused and looked after her. Zandra glanced up at him again.

''Well I'll let you two go back to work.'' Tulio said as he as well left and closed the door behind him. Both Zandra and Paris stood and starred at the closed door it surprise and confusion.

''Okay, that was strange.'' Paris finally said and went back to sit behind the desk. Zandra bit her lip slightly and slowly walked back behind the desk as well.

''Are you okay about what she said?'' She asked quietly. Paris looked up at her for a few seconds before taking her hand and dragged her down to sit in his lap.

''It doesn't change a thing Zan, not a thing. Chel has made it very clear that she's done with me.'' Paris said and put his palm behind on her neck and pulled her in for a kiss. When they pulled away, Zandra smiled.

Early the next morning, Paris sat into the study looking outside through the big windows. Nick's treat still haunted him, because he knew that the minute Nick got out of prison, he better watch his back. He snapped out of his thoughts when he heard his cell-phone and looked at the screen and a weak smile grew across his lips.

''Am, hey.'' He answered.

''Paris, you might want to get over here. Right now.'' She said in a sad tone. Paris frowned his eyebrows and sat up straight into his chair.

''What's wrong? Is it the baby?'' He asked concerned.

''No, the baby's fine. It's Chel, she's not doing so good.'' That was all Paris needed to hear.

''I'm on my way.'' He said and hung up before leaving the room and the mansion grounds.

Paris ran into the palace and hurried into the throne-room. He saw Chel sitting onto her mother's throne, staring into thin air, with Amazonia and Topaz standing by her side. He also knew that Tulio and others were present in the room, but only focused on Chel. The look of her face made Paris worried. He hurried over to her and kneeled down in front of her.

''Hey, what's wrong?'' He asked and took her hand in his. Chel still sat completely still, he wasn't even sure if she even knew that he was there.

''Chel!'' Paris raised his voice.

''I might be able to explain that.'' He heard an unfamiliar male voice coming from behind him and he turned around and looked up at a tall man in his early thirties, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. Paris slowly stood up and raised an eyebrow as he looked at the stranger in front of him. Behind him, stood a woman in about the same age with long curly orange hair, freckles and light blue eyes.

''My name is Gabriel Reed, call me Gabe. This is my girlfriend Scarlett.'' The man said. Paris frowned his eyebrows even further.

''I'm Teddy's father.'' He added. It was like an invisible knife went through Paris's chest. Paris turned back to Chel with his chin hanging. Chel sat sobbing quietly into her palm.

First off I just want to say, the conversation between Chel and Amazonia was a pain in the a** to write. I don't know what made it difficult, all I know is that I had to remove almost half of the dialog in that scene. But at least it's done now.

I'm not really sure what I should say. Hasn't Chel been through enough already, does she really have to risk losing Teddy now as well. And if she's under any more stress, will this affect her pregnancy?

And if Tulio hadn't come and interrupted, would Amazonia really have told Paris what he did? Will she do in the future?

And what about Paris and Zandra, are they the new power-couple? Or is Jack right about Paris going back to Chel if he got the chance. Well that would be if Nick didn't got out of prison first.

Like some of you might have noticed I have changed my username from MusaRiven. The reason for this is because years ago I had an YouTube account under the name Saveslillis, but I haven't been able to use it for about two years. So recently I made a new YT-account with the same name, and I want all of my accounts go under the same name so this is the reason. (Except my Deviantart account that I can't change the name unless I get a premium membership, this still goes under MusaRiven)

If you have the time, feel free to go and check out my deviantart, youtube and follow me on twitter, that would make me really happy. Links can be found of my profile.

Next time, Chel and Paris has to deal with the fact that they might lose Teddy, Jack struggles with his feelings for Breanna, and more.
