Heart attack
Two bags stood packed into the living-room at the beach-house. Jack and Breanna stood by the windows facing the ocean. He pulled her in for a hug and pulled her closer to him and sighed.
''Some way, we'll find a way to make this work.'' He said before they broke apart again. Breanna nodded sadly and looked down into the floor. He took her hands in his.
''Are you sure you're going to be alright?'' He asked. She looked up at him again, smiling slightly.
''Yes, I actually have some ideas.'' She said. Jack smiled and frowned his eyebrows slightly, but didn't ask anything further.
''Good.'' Was the only thing he said before he took his bags and they walked down the short corridor to the front-door. They shared one last kiss before he went outside, placed the back into the silver cabriolet and drove off- Leaving Breanna all alone.
When Chel woke up that morning, for a seconds she wondered where she was. Then it came back to her and she turned back slightly to see Paris laying next to her with one of his arms wrapped around her waist. A wide smile grew across her lips as she carefully turned around to face him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and softly placed a kiss onto his lips. Paris woke up and after a second or two, he smiled as well.
''If I'm dreaming, don't pinch me.'' She said before kissing him again. Paris chuckled slightly and shook his head.
''No.'' He said before yawning.
''Do you have to work today?'' She asked and rested her head into her palm. Paris thought for a seconds and looked at her.
''If Jack gets here soon, I can probably take most of the day off. What did you have in mind?'' He asked. Chel smiled and cuddled closer to him.
''I need to go back home to the palace and pack some things.'' She said and looked up at him.
''Paris?'' She asked carefully.
''Mm.'' He replied her sheepishly as he had his eyes closed.
''Are you sure this is what you want? Are you really sure that you want me to move in here?'' She asked. Paris opened his eyes to look at her and frowned his eyebrows.
''What do you mean? You're having my baby, of course I'm sure.'' He said and lifted himself slightly and supported himself onto his elbow and Chel did the same.
''But I don't want you to be with me just because I'm going to be the mother of you baby.'' She said and sighed.
''We can share custody.'' She added sadly,
''No, we're going this together. The next chapter of our life begins now and I know where my place is, where I want to be.'' Paris said and placed his free hand behind her neck.
''It's with you, Teddy and the baby.'' He added. She would like to believe that Paris wanted to be with her, for her. And maybe he did. But she also knew that under this last couple of weeks, Paris and Zandra had gotten closer to each other. And if Paris still had his doubts, then she didn't want him to feel that he needed to be with her out of obligation. And she really hoped that he didn't.
''Only if you're sure Paris.'' Chel said again.
''I'm sure.'' He said, even before she got the chance to finish her sentence.
''I love you.'' He added. Chel could feel how her whole body turned warm and her heart started to beat faster, just like it had done every time before he had said those words to her. And he meant them, she knew he did.
''I love you too.'' She smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and the two shared a long passionate kiss.
Back at the ranch, everybody had breakfast. Oliver walked to Zandra's suite with a breakfast tray and knocked onto the door, but there was no answer. He took out his keys and unlocked the door and pecked in carefully, finding Zandra being fast asleep into the arm-chair from the night before. He closed the door behind him and walked over to place the tray onto the table in front of her, before going over to pull the shades away, letting in the morning sunlight. After, he walked over to her and quietly kneeled down next to her.
''Zandra.'' He said and softly shook her arm, making her to open her eyes. Zandra looked at him for a second and covered her eyes to avoid the sunlight.
''What time is it?'' She asked.
''It's almost ten.'' He replied and poured up a cup of her favorite tea, and reached the cup to her.
''Thank you.'' She said and took a sip. Oliver sat down into the other arm-chair opposite her.
''Are you going to take the day off?'' He asked. Zandra looked at him for a second before shaking her head and took another sip of her tea.
''It's no big deal, I can manage if you want to…'' He said, but was interrupted.
''I said no!'' She spat, but soon regretted it. She knew that Oliver was only looking out for her.
''But there is something I need to do first, there is someone I need to meet.'' She added.
Tulio stood into the kitchen, leaning against the counter looking through his phone. When he heard the double-doors burst open and looked up to face a furious Paris.
''Look, I get that….'' He began but was soon interrupted by Paris who know stood right in front of him.
''I'm in all on how low you would sink! You lie to your own sister. You manipulate her life, you manipulate my life.'' Paris hissed angrily.
''I told Chel the truth, you can fix it if you want. It's not like you and Zandra are married.'' Tulio said and shrugged his shoulder. Paris gasped slightly and his cheeks burned up in pure rage.
''What? You have no concept about my relationship with Zandra.'' Paris yelled at him. Tulio gritted his teeth slightly and ran a hand through his dark red hair.
''No I don't have a concept about your and Zandra's relationship, because I don't care!'' He yelled back at him.
''I really couldn't care less about you or what you do. You know why? Because you're a piece of scum, and one day Chel is going to realize it!'' Tulio hissed angrily. In the mean time, Paris had walked over to the refrigerator and was now holding a bag of ice.
''Is this an ice-pack?'' He asked.
''What are you doing? What do you need that for?'' Tulio asked in confusion as Paris walked back over to him with firm steps, then raised his fist and punched Tulio across the face, knocking him off his feet.
''It's for you.'' Paris said and threw the ice-pack onto Tulio's chest, before turning around and left. Tulio groaned in pain and pressed the ice against his busted lip.
-Zandra stood into a small room with one table and two chairs. The brick walls were painted in grey and one of the walls were replaced by bars. Without seeing anything, she heard a heavy door close and a tall shadow appeared at the wall behind the bars. She could hear two pair of shoes and a set of keys coming closer and closer. When the two figures finally appeared for her to see, a wide but nervous smile grew across her lips. The bars opened and one of the figures stepped inside the same area as Zandra.
''Hey Nicky.'' She said and sighed. Nick looked back at his younger sister and differently from the last time, he smiled back at her.
Breanna stood into the throne-room opposite Topaz. The red-head queen stood looking at the young woman in-front of her, thinking about the proposition she just had given her. She wanted to start a new life, in a new place. And the capital was perfect for it. She had a new family here, Paris, Spencer and Bonnie. And Jack of course. The beach-house fitted her perfectly, it was like it was made for her.
''It would be calming to know that the beach-house would be looked after. And I suppose that you have more use renting it then for us to have it be empty.'' Topaz said and smiled at Breanna. She had to admit that she had taken a liking to Breanna from the first time she had meet her and if there was something that she could do to help her stay clean, then she would gladly do it. And Breanna had given her such a convincing feeling that this was what she really wanted.
''And I'm going to search for a job as well as fast as possible.'' Breanna added. Topaz thought for a second before smiling even wider.
''I think I might have an idea.'' She said.
Zandra and Nick broke apart from their hug and looked at each other for a few seconds. Nick smiled and brushed some of her auburn hair behind her ear. It was amazing what only three years had changed her, incredibly enough, she was even more beautiful than before and she also looked more grown-up and mature.
''I have missed you.'' She said and gave him another hug and sighed deeply.
''I missed you too.'' He replied her.
''I just glad you're talking to me again.'' She said as they once again broke apart. Nick groaned and ran a hand through his blonde hair.
''I was just chocked to see you there, especially with him.'' He replied her, his voice turned bitter when he mentioned Paris. Zandra sighed sadly and nodded her head.
''Yeah, about that…'' She said.
Topaz and Breanna walked through castle-town and stopped outside a building with small round tables and chairs outside, where many sat down socializing over a cup of coffee. They walked inside and just like the outside, there was more tables and a counter filled with all kind of different sorts of pastries, cakes, sandwiches, bread loaves and so much more. Breanna had to take a deep breath, inhaling the wonderful scent. An older woman in her fifties stood behind the counter. She had curly mint-green hair, with a little bit of grey in it, pulled back into a knot into her neck and light-blue friendly eyes. When she saw Topaz, her wide smile became even wider.
''Your highness.'' She said. Topaz smiled and shook hand with the woman behind the counter.
''Oh Marge, what have I told you. I'll always be Topaz Wilmer for you.'' The queen said. The woman with the mint-green hair chuckled.
''Yes, until you bumped into a young man here in this very bakery over twenty years ago.'' Marge said.
''Who could have guessed that the crown-prince would meet his queen in there off all places.'' She added. Topaz smiled and blushed slightly at the memory.
''Yes, this has always been a special place for me and Miguel.'' Topaz said, but soon she realized why she had brought Breanna here.
''I'm looking for your husband, I would like to have a word with him.'' She said. Marge smiled kindly.
''Of course, just a moment.'' She said before disappearing into the back and soon back with a man in the same age as her, and as the same as his wife, his face brighten up by the sight of Topaz.
''Have the princesses send you today? I haven't seen your son yet today to bring her the usual.'' The man chuckled and dried his hands off onto the wash-towel hanging by his waist, before shaking hands with Topaz.
''Nice to see you again Mr. Hernandez. I'm sure he will show up sometime soon, Tulio wouldn't deny Amazonia anything.'' Topaz smiled.
''Could we go somewhere to talk, I have a suggestion for you.'' She added and looked back at Breanna. The man smiled over at Breanna and nodded his head as he showed Breanna and Topaz to another room with a desk and a bookshelf behind it. He sat down behind the desk and offered for them to sit down onto the other side.
''We're here to ask if you have something available for Breanna here?'' Topaz said and smiled over at Breanna. She filled the man in about her past, and Breanna was ashamed when her drug addiction was mentioned, but Mr. Hernandez didn't seem to judge her, he just smiled at her with that warm smile that his wife had done.
''Well we could use some help around here. We only have one other young girl here helping us and she only works part time.'' He said and looked back at Topaz.
''You can begin in the kitchen doing the dishes, cleaning, waitressing and managing the counter now and then. In time you can might help me bake.'' He said and looked back at Breanna again.
''How does it sound? Would you like to give it a try?'' He asked. Breanna felt like her entire world just became much brighter.
''Very much. I can't thank you enough.'' Breanna said with a side smile.
''Very well then, be here around ten o'clock tomorrow morning and we'll get you settled it.'' He smiled. Topaz and Breanna thanked once again and they went back outside to the café with Mr. Hernandez.
''Marge, say hello to our newest requite. Breanna Deveraux.'' He said to his wife. Marge smiled her warm wide smile at Breanna.
''Welcome dear, I hope that you'll like it here.'' She said as Mr. Hernandez went behind the counter and soon came back out with two mint-green paper bags with white strips and reached one each to Topaz and Breanna.
''Here, tell Tulio he doesn't have to come down today. It's the princesses usual chocolate and mint cake and fresh strawberries. I also placed your old favorite there too.'' He smiled over at Topaz who peaked into the bag.
''Chocolate and lavender cupcake?'' Topaz smiled, a smile that Breanna almost found slightly child-like, but still worth of a queen. She couldn't believe how kind and friendly Topaz had been to here, she would always be grateful to her and it made her want to stay sober even more.
Zandra told Nick about what had happened since the last time they meet. Nick couldn't really say that he was surprised, because he knew that sooner or later Paris would leave Zandra, leaving her heartbroken.
''Oh god, I told myself I wouldn't do this. All the tears, they have to dry up at some point.'' Zandra sniffled and brushed her hair behind her ear.
''Paris is staying with Chel?'' Nick asked again. Zandra nodded and sighed.
''She's pregnant. For Paris there was no other choice and having no dad around when he was growing up is kind off a soft button for him, so it's important for him that both parents are around.'' She said as they both sat down at the table.
''I'm trying really hard, not to be resentful.'' She said.
''Children are wonderful, they're miracles. And I should be happy for Paris because he's going to such a great dad.'' She smiled and looked at her older brother.
''Really, he is.'' She added when she saw the look at Nick's face. She knew that Nick hated Paris, why she didn't know.
''I'm sorry Zan.'' He sighed and looked at his younger sister, and he meant it. Not that Paris was finally not an option anymore, but that she had to go through this pain and he was one of the reasons for it.
''It's not your fault.'' She said and sighed as she shook her head and looked up at him.
''It's not entirely your fault.'' She corrected herself. Nick looked down into the table for a few seconds.
''I should know how to comfort you, and the right things to say.'' Nick sighed, but Zandra shook her head.
''You don't have to say anything, you just being here is enough. You're support means everything to me.'' She said and smiled as she took his hands in his and placed them onto the table. Nick smiled.
''And you will always have it.'' He said. She sniffled one more time and stood up, walking around the table and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
''I've missed you so much.'' She sobbed harder. Nick smiled and hugged her back.
Jack let out a deep sigh as he walked through the castle-town. He just needed to get away from the mansion for a few minutes. Then his mind went back to Breanna, and a wide smile grew across his lips, but it soon faded when he heard a female voice calling his name. He cursed under his breath before turning around, coming face to face with a young blonde woman with cyan colored eyes.
''Kimberly.'' He said and smiled slightly as she walked up to him. She gave him a seductive look.
''I've missed you, I got quite upset when you didn't contact me.'' She said and took a hold of his shoulder. Jack quickly brushed it away.
''Yeah, well much has happened lately.'' He replied her.
''Well we are both here now, how about we go to my place? My parent's isn't home yet.'' She purred. Jack scratched the back of his neck and shook his head.
''I can't, I sort of made a promise to live in celibacy.'' He said. Kimberly frowned her eyebrows.
''For now at least.'' He added, and she nodded her head.
''I won't tell anyone, it can be our little secret.'' He sighed and ran a hand through his raven hair.
''I can't, because I've meet someone.'' He said in a whisper, afraid that the wrong person would hear him.
''Oh.'' She said, with a hint of disappointment in her voice.
''And I really like this girl, I don't want to screw things up.'' He said and smiled. Kimberly smiled back at him.
''That's okay. I guess I need to find a new boy-toy then.'' She said. Jack laughed and nodded his head.
''You do that, it shouldn't be that difficult.'' He said before the two of them shared a hug. When he was going to walk away, he turned around and called after her.
''Don't tell anyone about this, especially Paris.'' He said. She smiled and nodded.
''I promise.'' She replied him and the two went their different directions. Jack reached down to his pocket to take out his cell-phone, but it wasn't there.
Breanna stood into the door leading out towards the sun deck, with a cup of tea into her hand. She leaned her head against the door-frame and smiled. She took a deep breath, inhaling the salty smell from the water. The wind blew through her long curly auburn hair and she couldn't help herself to sigh in utterly happiness. She had a place to work, a place to live and then she had Jack. How could she not be happy? A short signal could be heard from inside and she walked inside and saw Jack's cell-phone laying onto the kitchen counter. She frowned her eyebrows and walked over to it, he must have forgotten about it. She picked it up and hesitated to look what it was. But then again, it could be important. After battling with herself, she decided to look what it was. She frowned her eyebrows when a text-message from some Kimberly popped up onto the screen.
''Loved to meet you again, but don't worry. I'm going to keep your dirty little secret.'' Breanna read out loud and a look of disgust appeared onto her face. She slammed the phone back onto the counter. She walked over to the couches and sat down into one of them. How could she have so stupid? Even if she didn't think that she should, she didn't want either for that matter, but she couldn't stop herself from crying.
