You are the best thing that's ever been mine
Breanna hadn't left her seat from the couch ever since she had read the text-message, which were exactly thirty-four minutes ago. She heard the front-door open and close before heavy steps could be heard coming towards the living-room.
''There it is.'' She heard Jack's voice say before he walked out from the corner, smiling at her.
''There you are.'' He said and walked over to her.
''I forgot my phone here.'' He added and leaned down to kiss her, but Breanna pushed him away. Jack frowned his eyebrows.
''What's wrong?'' He asked. Breanna glared up at him, trying to prevent herself from slapping him hard across the face, God knew he deserved it.
''We are. We're not going to see each other anymore. At least not this way.'' She said without looking at him as she stood up and walked past him. Jack's chin fell to the floor.
''What? Why not?'' He asked as he turned around. Breanna stood behind the kitchen counters and drank from a glass of water.
''Because I say so.'' She said shortly, still not looking at him. Jack walked over to her and placed one hand onto her upper arm, but Breanna harshly pushed it away.
''I said no Jack.'' She hissed angrily. Jack just stood and looked at her confused. He couldn't figure out what had made her change her mind so suddenly. Just that very same morning, they had agreed on that they would make this work and now she had done a complete one-eighty. It didn't make any sense.
''But…'' Was the only response he managed to protest before his phone rang. He looked at the screen.
''Paris.'' He sighed before answering.
''Hey, what's up?'' He said and a second later he sighed again.
''I'm quite busy right now, can't it wait?'' He protested, but soon he groaned.
''Fine. I'm coming.'' He said before hanging up, and looked at Breanna again.
''We're not finish discussing this.'' He said before going around the counters again and walked towards the front-door. Breanna folded her arms over her chest and glared after him again.
Two weeks later, it was time for Chel's first ultra-sound. Teddy came home a few days ago after spending a few weeks with Ruby, and needless to say he was more than overjoyed to home to not only Chel and Paris being back together again, but also that he was going to be a big-brother in a few months. Chel sat onto the bunk with Paris onto a chair besides her.
''Should we get started?'' The healer asked as she sat down onto the other side of Chel. Chel nodded with a smile.
''Yeah.'' She said as she joined hand with Paris. The healer nodded and took a tube and placed it over Chel.
''This might be a little cold.'' She smiled as she softly poured some transparent gel onto Chel's naked stomach. She whimpered softly but soon got used to the chilliness.
''Okay... it was actually not that bad.'' The princess smiled. The healer put the monitor-screen on and took the hand-piece into her hand.
''When do you think that you might see if it's a boy or a girl?'' Paris asked as he looked at the older woman. Chel turned around to look at him with a wide smile.
''Don't even think about it, I don't want to know and you'll only let it slip.'' She teased. Paris gasped.
''I haven't breathed a word about the gender of Amazonia and Tulio's baby.'' He said.
''We won't be able to see it either way for awhile, but you are far along enough so that we'll be able to see something.''
''And hear the baby's heartbeat.'' She added with a warm smile before taking the hand-piece and moved it over Chel's stomach. At first they couldn't really see or hear anything, but soon they could see something small flickering onto the monitor and steady heartbeats could be heard. Both Chel and Paris were in awn as they looked at the screen before them.
''And there's your little one, right there.'' The healer said and indicated the baby with her finger.
''Oh my god.'' Paris said in awn.
''That's our baby.'' Chel whispered as a tear of joy ran down her cheek. She and Paris looked at each other.
Zandra walked over to the conference table into her study and started to gather up all of the papers onto it. Oliver sat into one of the chairs by it, glancing up at her every now and then. Ever since they got back to the mansion, all Zandra had been doing was working, before just looking herself in to her room.
''I got a secret for you.'' Oliver said, making her look at him for a second before going back to the papers.
''A secret?'' She asked and frowned her eyebrows slightly.
''Something I've been wanting to tell you, or show you.'' He said. Zandra stopped and turned around to lean against the table and sighed.
''Can we maybe talk about it later? It's been a long day and I would prefer to be alone.'' She said. Oliver smiled as he slowly walked over to her.
''I understand, just one quick story.'' He said. Zandra's smile grew slightly.
''And then I'll leave you alone… if that's what you still want.'' He added. Zandra frowned her eyebrows and looked at him half questioning, half curious.
The royal palace shimmered in the sun and a soft breeze went through the air. Musa and Fiona sat outside into the courtyard, soaking up some of the sun. Ever since Fiona came back, Musa had started to see more and more of the old Fiona every day.
''So, how does it feel?'' Musa asked and looked at the green-haired fairy. Fiona looked from her to straight forward and sighed.
''You mean how it feels to see my ex-boyfriend, the supposedly love of my life, expecting a baby with another woman?'' She asked with a hint of sarcasm in her voice, but immediately regretted it, even if Musa didn't seem to mind.
''Sorry.'' She added. Musa shook her head and sighed deeply. Fiona took a deep breath and stomped her foot rapidly, trying to keep herself from tearing up.
''I can't deny that my heart breaks a little more every time I see either one of them, especially Amazonia. But I know that Tulio loves and adores her, and she loves him.'' She said and sighed.
''Tulio's happy, and that's the only thing that matters.'' Fiona said and looked down into her lap, and there was a long pause as the horrible memory came back to her.
''When she fell down those stairs, if something would have happened to either her or the baby… I don't think I would be able to live with myself.'' She said and tears started to well up and ran down her cheeks. Musa looked at her with sympathy, before wrapping her arms around her and hugged her tightly.
Amazonia sat into her and Tulio's bed, with her back resting against the headboard. Tulio lied down across the bed with one hand onto his wife pregnant stomach, stroking it softly.
''I still can't believe it.'' He said and sighed as he rested his head into her lap. Amazonia giggled slightly.
''Believe what?'' She asked and brushed some hair from his face.
''That there actually is a baby in there.'' He replied her and moved over to put his ear against her stomach. Amazonia laughed and looked at him lovingly.
''A boy.'' Tulio said.
''No, a girl!'' Amazonia smiled and shook her head.
''No way. It's a boy, I can feel it.'' Tulio smiled and listened, as if he expected for the baby in some way to confirm it.
''She'll have long brown hair and wear pretty pink dresses.'' She added. Tulio squinted and looked up at her.
''You sound pretty sure off that.'' He said suspiciously. Amazonia frowned her eyebrows, but soon shook her head.
''What? No, I haven't had … a vision.'' She said and grimaced.
''That is kind of crazy isn't it?'' He frowned his eyebrows.
''It's bizarre, but in some way it does make sense.'' She sighed and ran a hand through her long brown curls.
''The strange things that has happened lately, it's like I've this… sixth sense. I just knew that something was going on.'' Amazonia added, she still hadn't got it through her head that she had this ability. Being able to see in to the future, it's not like every other person can do it. Then a mischievous grin grew across her lips and she looked down at Tulio.
''I think I'm getting a vision.'' She said and closed her eyes, putting both of her index-fingers against her temples.
''Really?'' Tulio chuckled.
''I can see you… down at the bakery.'' She said before opening one of her eyes and looked at him and smiled at him. Tulio rolled his eyes and smiled.
''Well in that case, I better get going.'' He said and stood up and walked over to the sitting area and grabbed his jacket from the arm-chair before going back over to Amazonia again.
''Everything for my beautiful wife.'' He said and leaned down and planted a kiss onto her lips before walking over towards the door.
''And Liam.'' He called back after her.
''Ruby.'' She called back.
''Liam.'' Tulio said before he closed the door behind him.
Zandra sighed and ran a hand through her long auburn hair.
''Oliver, I don't want you to feel pressured to try to cheer me up.'' She said.
''I'm not. I'm been meaning to show you something for a very long time.'' He smiled.
''Maybe it'll make you smile, laugh…. maybe call the police.'' The last part changed into a whisper. Zandra chuckled slightly and frowned her eyebrows.
''Okay?'' She said.
''And this has to do with a story?'' She asked. Oliver nodded and sat down onto the table.
''You see, once upon a time there was this beautiful, beautiful auburn-haired girl, you'd like her, real babe.'' He said. Zandra chuckled and turned away slightly, supposing that it was her he was talking about. .
''A few years ago, shortly after she got her heart broken by some guy, I was out late one night and I did something that I thought she'd… appreciate.''
''Maybe foolish, maybe not.'' He smiled mischievously.
''Okay?'' Zandra said and looked at him, dying to find out where he was getting at. Oliver once again stood up and with a nervous smile, he put up his foot onto one of the chairs and pulled down his shoe to reveal his ankle, revealing a small tattoo of the phoenix bird.
''Oh my God! Is that?'' Zandra laughed and put her palms in front of her mouth.
''Yes that is the phoenix bird, your favorite. It seemed like such a good idea at the time'' He said. Zandra laughed and looked at him.
''Oh, Oliver.'' She smiled.
''I've been meaning to get it removed, maybe turn it to something else, a dog maybe.'' He said.
''A dog? What?'' She said and looked up at him.
''Maybe a smiley face.'' He shrugged his shoulders. Zandra shook her head.
''No, no you can't. No.'' She said. Oliver looked up at her again, frowning his eyebrows slightly but still smiled.
''Yeah?'' He asked carefully.
''Yeah.'' She nodded and her eyes honey-colored eyes sparkled slightly. He nodded his head and scratched the back of his neck.
''I guess I could cancel that appointment to get it removed. For now.'' He said. Zandra smiled and nodded her head.
''I'm just glad I made you smile.'' He added. Zandra looked down into the floor for a second, she knew that she hadn't been much fun to be around lately and she probably still wouldn't be for a while. But she couldn't deny that being around Oliver made it so much easier to get through the day. He was her best friend. She looked back up at him, and then she started to laugh again.
Paris sat with some paper work into his suite, now his and Chel's suite. In that moment, the red-headed pregnant princess came in through the door with a bowl with something red inside. Paris looked up and a smile grew across his lips.
''Strawberries huh?'' He said as he wrote something onto one of the papers.
''It's good for the baby.'' She smiled and took a bit.
''What else is we suppose to be eating?'' He asked and let go off the papers in front of him for a while and leaned back into the couch as Chel sat down next to him.
''Well, leafy green vegetables, a lot of fruit and many trips to the twenty-four hours deli.'' She said and gave him a mischievous look as she leaned back. Paris wrapped one arm around her shoulders and took a strawberry for himself.
''This whole craving things is really true isn't it.'' He chuckled.
''I'm going to be craving around the clock baby.'' She said as she wrapped her arm half-way around his shoulder and played with his dark brown hair before she grew another mischievous smile.
''I think like I'm starting to get another craving.'' She said and crossed her legs and moved even closer to Paris.
''Really? What could that be?'' He asked and frowned his eyebrows with a grin onto his face.
''This.'' She said and reached up and kissed him , then the door burst open and inside came Spencer onto a miniature red dirt bike, with a big bag, almost the size as himself, on his back and two sticks between his teeth.
''Hello, hello anybody home? Is the new mommy and daddy-to-be in the house?'' He said as he slowly came droving inside and stopped by the edge of the bed.
''Dad? Dad what the hell?'' Paris asked as both her and Chel stood up and looked at him in surprise.
''Listen, the second that kids come out.'' Spencer said as he got off the bike and took out the two sticks out of his mouth.
''The very second, that kids come out. You are going to introduce my grand-child to the wonderful world of dirt-bike racing.'' He added as he took of the bag from his back and placed it into one of the arm-chairs. Paris and Chel still stood and stared at him questioning. Spencer walked over to the young couple and stuck the two sticks into Paris's mouth.
''Boy,… girl…. You got everything covered.'' He said and patted Paris into his chest, before turning his attention to Chel.
''Are you, you have never been more beautiful.'' He smiled. Chel giggled and tilted her head slightly. Paris quickly took out the two sticks and looked at them, seeing two lollipops, one blue and one pink.
''Look at you, a new Lestrange is percolating in there.'' He sighed satisfied.
''Dad, what's going on with you?'' Paris chuckled.
''What's going on? I'm excited, I'm thrilled, are you kidding me?'' Spencer said as he took of his jacket and placed it into the other arm-chairs.
''Yes, I can see that.'' Paris said with a grin.
''Spencer? What is all this?'' Chel said and looked at the huge sack into the chair. Spencer turned around and opened it up.
''Let's see, there is a ton more stuff coming. But just to get you started, bottles, bouncers…'' Spencer started to count as he threw one package after the other onto the coffee-table. Chel and Paris both gasped slightly.
''Put this all down, this is so much.'' Chel said and waves her arms, Spencer stopped and turned around to look at them.
''Wait, you don't think this might be a little bit early?'' Paris added after her.
''A little early?'' Spencer shrugged his shoulders and frowned his eyebrows.
''I'm going to be a grand-dad!'' He said before pointing over at Paris.
''I never thought you would happen, even less a grand-child. So excuse me for being a little bit over the top.'' He said. Chel and Paris smiled.
''Come here.'' He said and reached his arms out for Chel, who joined him in an hug.
''How are you feeling?'' He asked as they broke apart. Chel nodded.
''I'm good.'' She replied him.
''Resting?'' Chel nodded.
''Eating?'' He said in more serious voice. Chel laughed.
''Dad, she's fine. S-she's fine.'' Paris said.
''Yeah and she better stay fine, you take really good care of her.'' He warned him. Paris smiled and wrapped his arm around Chel's shoulders and kissed her temple.
Zandra stood leaning down to take a closer look at the tattoo. He was right, it was her favorite. She loved what it represented and it was something that she would like to believe was true.
''Think that you had this all this time, and you never told me.'' She said and looked up at him. Oliver smiled.
''I didn't exactly want you to find out.'' He said and fixed his shoe again before looking at her and sighed.
''I know that you're going through a tough time right now, but I want you to know that I'll always be here and care for you.'' He said.
''You'll never be completely alone.'' He finished. Zandra smiled and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, hugging him.
Chel and Paris still stood into their bedroom at the mansion. Chel came walking towards him and Spencer again with her wallet and took something out and gave it to Spencer, who smiled proudly as he looked at it.
''There's a one good-looking kid, he looks just like his grand-dad.'' He said and looked up at Paris and Chel again.
''You know he may be a she.'' Paris said and frowned his eyebrows.
''He, she, whatever. It stills looks like me.'' He replied him a smile. Paris chuckled and shook his head. Spencer turned to look at Chel again.
''Are you taking your vitamins?'' He asked her.
''Yeah, minerals, proteins, all that good stuff.'' She replied him. Spencer nodded and gave a positive grunt.
''Hey Spencer, Gabe told me that you talked to him. I own you big time, if it wasn't for you then I'm positive that we would have lost Teddy.'' She said with teary eyes by the thought of it.
''Thank you.'' She added.
''You don't own me anything. I know that you'll be an exceptional mother.'' He said and turned to look at his son.
''And I know that you'll be an exceptional father.'' Paris and Chel smiled proudly as they both glanced at each other.
''You will guide Teddy and this child. I've every faith in both of you.'' He said and smiled. He reached out his arms for a hug and both Chel and Paris joined him in a warm embrace.
The silver sports-car drove up onto the road leading to the mansion and inside the gates, up onto the courtyard. Jack had a smirk onto his face as he got out of the car with a package and walked inside. He walked up to the second floor to Paris's study. Without knocking, he walked inside and placed the small package onto the desk. Paris sat with his feet up onto the desk, looking through some papers. He looked at the package before him and frowned his eyebrows.
''What we talked about?'' He asked. Jack nodded and smirked.
''I think you'll be very pleased.'' He replied him. Paris took the package and un-wrapped it, finding a small black box inside. He opened it and a smile grew across him lips before looking back up at Jack.
''Perfect.'' He said.
Tulio had just made his daily trip down to the small bakery in the castle-town market for Amazonia. Chocolate and mint cake and fresh strawberries was more or less the only thing that she could eat that didn't make her feel sick to her stomach. He almost knocked into someone coming out from the kitchen.
''Whoa.'' Fiona nearly dropped her cup of tea to the floor, but managed to keep every single drop into the cup. Seeing Tulio, she smiled slightly.
''Hi.'' She said. Tulio chuckled slightly.
''Hi.'' He replied her. She noticed the bag from the bakery in his hand and frowned her eyebrows.
''Since when do you eat things like that in the middle of the week?'' She asked and smiled. Tulio's smile faded and he scratched the back of his neck, pausing into an awkward silence.
''It's for Amazonia.'' He finally said quietly. Fiona's smile faded and she could feel the big lump in her stomach grow larger and larger.
''Pregnancy cravings.'' He added and looked down into the floor. Again there was an awkward silence before Fiona finally had enough.
''Okay well, take care.'' She said and was about to walk away, but she was stopped by him calling her name. She turned around again and looked at him.
''I just wanted to say that… I'm really grateful that you're trying to get along with her.'' He said.
Paris had taken rest of the day of and he brought Chel and Teddy out for the day. They walked inside into the cherry forest Paris took Chel to a while back.
''What're we doing here?'' She asked as they approached the steam with the small bridge.
''Come on, I'm going to show you something.'' He said with a grin as he took both hers and Teddy's hands and walked over to one of the nearest trees. Chel frowned her eyebrows and looked at him confused.
''What do you see?'' He asked. Chel looked back at the tree again and shook her head in confusion.
''Nothing, all I can see is bark on the tree.'' She said. He nodded and pulled them over to a second, a third, a fourth and a fifth one, but every time the answer was the same. Until the pulled them to the last tree, and Chel was starting to get irritated by his games but then saw the C and P surrounded by a heart engraved into it. A smile crept onto her lips as the memory of Paris putting it there.
''Well, what do you see?'' He asked her again with a smile. She turned around to look at him before turning back to the tree.
''I forgot that it was here.'' She said and gently dragged her fingers over it. Paris took her hands into his and dragged her with him over to the bridge again.
''Do you know what my favourite thing with this place is?'' He asked as he grinned mischievously. Chel frowned her eyebrow and smiled.
''What?'' She asked.
''This stream right here. Wow, what is that? That sparkly thing, what is it?'' He said and looked down into the small stream. Chel looked as well and saw something placed on the bottom glistening.
''What is that?'' She asked and bend down to get a closer look, but was still too far away to see what it was.
''Teddy, why don't you go and check it out?'' Paris said and pushed Teddy gently forward to the stream and the young boy walked down to the water.
''Be careful.'' Chel said to him. Teddy bent down and reached out for the mystery object and went back to Chel and Paris and opened his palm to reveal a white gold ring with five round rubies and a small diamond in between each. Chel looked from the ring up at Paris, and she was forced to hold her breath. Was that what she thought it was? Paris smiled at her before going onto one knee, holding the ring between his thumb and index-finger. Chel gasped and put one hand over her mouth.
''Ever since I dragged you out of that window at the mansion, and our eyes meet for the very first time. You have made me want to be a better person.'' He said and smiled up at her.
''I know that you don't like hearing, it's the right thing to do, but Chel use getting married and raising this baby together, is the right thing to do.'' He added.
''It's the right thing to do, because it's what I want.'' He said. Chel smiled widely as she tried to keep herself from crying.
''Chel, will you do me the honour of being my wife?'' Chel gulped and tried to find the right thing to say, trying to find anything to say.
''Paris, I.'' But there it stopped, she could find the right words. They turned to look at Teddy standing next to Paris
''Say yes.'' The young boy smiled. Paris grinned and looked up at her innocently.
''Say yes.'' He repeated with dazzling eyes up at her.
Oh my god! Paris proposing to Chel, what should she answer? Quite funny scenes with Spencer, at least I think so ^^
And who do you think is right, is Amazonia carrying a Liam or Ruby?
Liked the moments between Oliver and Zandra, I think they have a pure and solid friendship. Could Oliver possible have a tinsy winsy crush on the general?
I also like to have the old Fiona back, hope that she, Tulio and Amazonia could find a way to get along.
And will Jack be able to convince Breanna that he's not who she think he is, and will she believe what really happened between him and Kimberly?
Next time, Chel gives Paris an answer, Jack tries to get in touch with Breanna, and someone gets into an accident.
