Break Free
In complete rage, Jack passed back and forth onto the floor. Kimberly sat quietly onto the bed and looked at him as he passed before her. He had been doing so for almost an hour while she had been sobbing. Suddenly, he stopped and put his hands onto his waist.
''I'm going to kill him.'' He said, without no hesitation whatsoever. Kimberly looked up at him and her chin dropped slightly, shaking her head frantically.
''Well then you have to go to the police.'' He added and folded his arms across his chest. Kimberly sighed and ran a hand through her blonde hair.
''There is no use, I can't even tell them who it was anyway.'' She mumbled and wrapped her arms around herself. Jack sighed and kneeled down in front of her.
''Kimberly, you were raped. Whoever did it needs to be stopped!'' He said, but Kimberly didn't seem to hear what he just had said. She just stared into thin air.
''What if... what if he gave me something?'' She whimpered. Jack frowned his eyebrows.
''You mean like a decease?'' He asked. Now she looked at him.
''Or what if I'm pregnant?'' She said, and it seemed that this scared her even more. Jack sighed and nodded his head.
''Well you've to go and get checked out.'' He said.
''I can come with you if I want.'' He sighed. Kimberly looked up at him, frowning her eyebrows slightly. She nodded. He sighed again and took a seat next to her onto his bed.
''You can stay here for the night, if you don't want to go home.'' He added. She looked at him again, frowning her eyebrows even further.
''Really? What about that girlfriend of yours? Wouldn't she mind?'' She asked. Jack groaned and ran a hand through his dark raven hair.
''We're going through some stuff at the moment.'' He mumbled quietly. In the corner of his eye, he could she her nodding her head.
''You can take Paris's old bed.'' Jack said and nudged his head towards the other single bed onto the other side of the room. He stood up and walked over to his wardrobe and took out a simple t-shirt and reached it to her.
''Here, you can wear this.'' He said before walking over to the door to leave and give her some privacy to change. He was stopped half-way through the door and turned around to look at her again.
''I'm really grateful.'' She said. Jack nodded his head before leaving the room. He still thought that she should have contacted the police.
At the ranch, Oliver and Zandra stood into the medical room watching as the healer sat by the young girl that Oliver had brought back.
She kept on mumbling words that no one could make sense of and sweat ran down her forehead.
''Is she going to be okay?'' Zandra asked the healer. The older woman sighed and stood up.
''She's a fairy, and she were recently through a great trauma.'' She said and looked down at her.
''Like what?'' Zandra asked. The healer turned around to face them.
''A new transformation?'' She replied, maybe even asked. She walked over to the bag and looked down into it before taking out a light-blue jar and reached it over to Zandra.
''Make sure she takes these three times every day.'' She said as Zandra took the bottle and nodded.
''If she hasn't woken up in two days contact me.'' The healer added before leaving. Oliver and Zandra looked at each other before back at the young girl.
After a few days away, it was time for Chel and Paris to return to reality and their everyday life. On their way back home to the mansion, they stopped by the palace to pick up Teddy.
They found Musa and Riven together with Tulio into the kitchen.
''Are you back already?'' Musa asked and bighted up by the sight of them.
''How was the honeymoon?'' She added with a smirk. And before either Chel or Paris could even begin to reply, Riven covered his ears.
''Don't! I'll be scarred for life!'' He protested. They all laughed and as their laughed died out, Paris looked around slightly.
''Where's Amazonia?'' Paris asked, just realising that she was missing. He didn't meet them, but he could feel Tulio's eyes burning onto his skin.
''She's resting.'' Musa mumbled slightly and glanced over at Tulio.
''I'm going upstairs to see if she's ready to get up.'' He mumbled and left. Chel and Paris looked after him and exchanged confused looks.
''Is she alright?'' Chel asked concerned and looked over at Musa and Riven. The two of them exchanged looks before looking back at the newlyweds.
''We ran into her mother yesterday.'' Riven sighed.
''We took care of it, but I think she's still quite shaken.'' Musa added.
''But she's alright?'' Chel asked.
''She'll be fine, just give her a day or two.'' Musa smiled, Chel and Paris nodded in relief. Paris turned to Chel again and took her head.
''Well let's get Teddy and get back home.'' He said.
''If there is something to come home to, for all we know Jack could have burned the place down.'' Paris said as they left the kitchen as well. Chel giggled.
Ever since the day before Amazonia had barely said a word to anyone. If she was spoken to, she gave the shortest answer needed, and this was starting to worrying Tulio.
He stood leaning against the door-frame into their walk-in-closet, watching her as she picked out clothes for the day and got dressed.
''How are you feeling?'' He asked. Amazonia picked up a pair of earrings and put them on.
''Fine.'' She replied him without looking at him.
''I know you cry in your sleep.'' He added. Now she turned around and looked at him for a second before sighing.
''It's that nightmare.'' She replied and picked out a necklace before walking over to him. She gave him the necklace and turned around for him to help her put it on.
''But it's not me she's burying, it's the baby.'' She sighed. Tulio helped her with the necklace before wrapping his arms around her shoulders.
''I'm not going to let that happen.'' He whispered. She sighed heavily and leaned her head backwards, resting her head onto his shoulder.
''I know.'' She whispered before breaking free from his embrace and turned to face him. She took a deep breath and brought her hand to the back of her neck.
''But I want to see her.'' She mumbled quietly. For a second, he thought that he had heard wrong. But he was sure that he had heard just right.
''What?!'' He gasped. Amazonia wasn't surprised by his reaction. She sighed and walked out into the bedroom and turned around again.
''It's something I need to do.'' She said and put her hands onto her waist.
''I need to tell her once and for all to stay away from us, that I don't want anything to do with her. If I'm ever going to be free of her, this is the way.'' She added. Tulio sighed and looked at her. He was completely against the idea, one hundred percent.
''I don't like this, but when have I ever been able to stop you from doing anything?'' He sighed. Amazonia smiled and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him gently. Let's just hope that he didn't have to regret it.
Back at the mansion, Paris sat behind his desk and glanced up at Jack from behind some papers in his hands, with a smirk onto his face.
''I'm impressed.'' He said. And truthfully, he was. He knew that Jack had many good qualities, but taking responsibility was not one of them that he had proved into the past.
There had been times where he had left Jack in charged for a night at the most, but three whole days was something that really surprised him.
''I would love to stay here and listen to you go on and on about Chel.'' Jack began and leaned over the desk.
''But can I go for the day, I've an errand in town.'' He added. Paris smiled and nodded his head.
In the room back at the ranch, Oliver sat by the edge of the bed caring for the still unconscious girl as Zandra stood leaning against the wall watching him.
''Nova… leave them… don't… alone.'' The young girl moaned in her sleep as she kept on rambling.
Oliver sighed and put a bowl of water onto the nightstand, before walking over to Zandra.
''Do you think she's getting better?'' He asked. Zandra sighed and looked at the girl.
''She doesn't just mumble nonsense anymore, maybe she's starting to come around.'' She replied him.
Tulio held a tight grip onto Amazonia's hand as they walked down the small road leading down to the beach.
She surprisingly seemed to be calm, more than he thought. But then again, she were probably more nervous than she would let on. Knowing that it wound only worrying him even more.
''I don't like this, not at all.'' He said as he could see a mermaid fin approaching and coming closer and closer. Amazonia took a deep breath before kicking her shoes of and stepped into the water, and slowly walked further out until the water reached up to her hips.
Not long after they stood face to face. Amazonia looked at Aqua and she looked back at her.
''Hello mother.'' Amazonia sighed.
Jack sat onto a chair next to Kimberly. The healer pulled of her plastic gloves and sat down opposite them with a bunch of papers.
''Well Kimberly, you haven't received any deceases. It's still slightly early to see if you are pregnant, I advise you to come back in a few weeks.'' The older woman said and looked at Kimberly. The young girl nodded.
''If it would turn out that you are pregnant, how do you want to handle it?'' The healer asked.
''I want it gone!'' Kimberly said without hesitation. The healer nodded with a weak smile.
''I understand. I would also advise you to talk to somebody, a therapist for example?'' Kimberly shook her head.
''No! No one can know about this.'' She hissed. Jack placed a hand onto her shoulder making her turn to face him.
''Maybe it would be a good idea to talk to somebody.'' He said, but Kimberly shook her head again.
''I said no! I just want to forget about this nightmare and move on with my life. Nobody except us can know about this, understood?'' She hissed again. Jack and the healer looked at each other for a second before they both agreed.
When they left the healers office, Jack grabbed Kimberly's wrist and spun her around to make her face him.
''Kim, can't you go to the police?'' He asked. Kimberly growled angrily as she put her hands onto her hips.
''Are you thick? I've already told you that nobody can know about this. I can't, I just can't.'' Kimberly said as her the tone of her voice started to pitch and her eyes started to watered. Jack sighed and pulled her in for a hug and embraced her.
On the other side of the road, something caught his eye. Or someone. Breanna stood outside the bakery serving some of the guest. She looked at them with a hurt and angry expression in her eyes, before quickly walking inside. Jack could feel his heart drop to his stomach. Now things couldn't get any worse.
I know that this chapter was a little bit shorter than the rest of them.
Who is this mysterious girl and what happened to her, who is Nova?
Will Aqua really see sense and finally leave Amazonia in peace?
What will happen to Jack and Breanna now? Is this really the last straw?
Next time; Things seems to get tougher for Amazonia, Jack goes to see Breanna, The girl wakes up, and Breanna have a heart-to-heart with her uncle.
