I got friends on the other side

Zandra walked through the mansion courtyard, over towards the main-doors. She really didn't want to do this.

She was almost by the door when something red moving around into the corner of her eye. She looked up towards it and soon realized what it was what she was seeing. Chel standing leaning over the rail at the look-out tower.

Zandra set of into sprint and rushed inside and to the stairs leading up into the tower. She ran the fast as she could, praying that she wouldn't be too late.

When she reached the top she stopped halfway and caught her breath, revealed that Chel was still there.

''Chel.'' Zandra said in a low voice as she slowly approached the red-headed princess half-way over the edge.

''What are you doing?'' She asked again.

''Did you know that a few years ago, we thought that my brother was dead?'' Chel asked without looking at her. Zandra frowned her eyebrows slightly.

''Yeah, I remember. We held a minute's silence in school.'' She replied.

''We had a funeral and everything. And I remembered thinking, how do parents go on when they lose a child? How do they wake up every day?'' She added before there was a short pause. Even if she couldn't see Chel's face, Zandra could hear her crying.

''But you do wake up, every single day. You don't get to stop waking up.'' Chel sobbed.

''I know that you must going through hell right now, but do you really think that jumping is the way to solve it? It won't make you pregnant again.'' Zandra said and took a step closer.

''What about Paris? Think about what he would fell if he lost you too.'' She added. Chel turned her head slightly.

''Paris would be better off without me. I ruined his life.'' She whispered as more tears ran down her cheeks.

''What about your son….. Teddy!'' Zandra exclaimed. This seemed to reach Chel, because she stepped back down from the railing.

''What will he do without you?'' She added. Slowly Chel turned around to face her, but with tears running down her cheeks.

The sun and barely started to peak up from behind the horizon, but who could sleep after the nights… activities? Well, not Breanna.

Tightly wrapped into a blanket together, she laid next to Jack's warm body. A wide smile grew across her lips by the thought of the night they had spent together. It was the first time that she had felt to close with anybody, and she was glad that it had been Jack.

Even how much she loved watching him sleep, she couldn't bare not to have him there with her awake. She planted a soft kiss onto his lips, making him stir and eventually open his green eyes.

''Good morning.'' She whispered.

''It sure is.'' He replied her and they meet for a long kiss.

''Would you like some breakfast?'' She asked when they broke apart. Jack shook his head and wrapped his arms around her waist.

''Can't we just lay here for a moment?'' He said and pulled her even closer to him.

''Or do you just want to recreate last night?'' Breanna giggled and stroke his neck gently. There was a short pause before Jack got a more serious expression in his face.

''About last night.'' Jack began. Breanna nodded.

''It was my first time too, my first real time anyway.'' He added. And it was true, not technically of course. But up until last night, Jack really wished that he had waited.

''I know.'' She smiled then it was her time to get serious.

''Promise that you won't hurt me again.'' She added and looked into his dark green eyes. Jack sighed and ran one of his hands through her messy auburn hair.

''I promise I'll really try not to.'' He added. That was good enough for her. She smiled and kissed him again.

''We're home.'' They heard Fiona's voice coming from the hallway and Hope's barking as he came around the corner.

''I thought that maybe we coul-'' Fiona said as her voice came closer and closer and eventually appeared around the corner as well.

''OH MY GOD!'' She screamed and covered her eyes.

''I've been scarred for life! Can't you put a humping warning-sign on the front-door next time?'' Fiona squealed as she picked Hope into her embrace and covered his eyes and hurried up the stairs.

Breanna and Jack exchanged looks for a second before breaking out in laughter.

Chel and Zandra stood opposite each other, just looking at the other. Something made Zandra get the feeling that the mention of Teddy might have lifted some of Chel's dark thoughts.

''Come on, I'll help you back inside.'' Zandra said and reached her hand out towards her. Chel hesitated for a second before slowly walking over to her. She didn't take a hold of her hand, but placed a gentle hand onto Chel's back as they walked together back inside.

They walked together in silence and when they almost had reached Chel and Paris's bedroom, they ran into Paris himself. He had woken up and got up to go find his wife.

''There you're, I was looking for you.'' He said with a relieved smile, but soon noticed that something wasn't alright.

''What's going on?'' He asked and looked from Chel to Zandra. Zandra looked at Chel and sighed deeply.

''I found her upstairs at the look out tower.'' She said. Paris frowned his eyebrows.

''What were you doing up there?'' He asked confused. Chel looked away in shame and Zandra down into the floor, so it didn't take long for him to figure out why she was up there.

''Come on, let's get you back into bed.'' He said and wrapped his arm around Chel's shoulders and lead her back to the bedroom. But before they left, he turned around back to Zandra.

''Happy Birthday.'' He smiled weakly before they disappeared around the corner.

Well back inside their bedroom again, Chel and Paris both sat onto the edge of their bed in silence. What where they going to say?

''You need you get it out Paris.'' She eventually said quietly. Paris turned around to look at her.

''You should be furious at me, because I'm furious at me!'' She added and looked at him as well

''I'm not going to hold this against you because I know that if you knew that you were going to crash, then you wouldn't have taken the bike. It was an accident and we can't take it back.'' He said and placed one of his hands onto the back of her neck.

''And me lashing out on you is not going to fix anything.'' He sighed.

''I wish I could take that awful day back, I wish I never went to the palace. I wish I died instead of my baby.'' She cried and eventually cracked. Paris embraced her and stroke her hair as she cried into his chest.

''Don't say that. We just need time.'' He said.

''How could you even think about leaving me?'' He whispered as he hugged her tighter.

Oliver rushed through the corridors and he jumped onto one leg and tried to put on his shoe on the other. Better hope that Zandra was in a really good mood because he had never been this late before.

When he arrived outside the door to Zandra's study, he brushed one hand through him dark brown hair and straightened out his uniform jacket before knocking onto the door and waited for her to allow him to come in. Knowing that it was a special day today, he smirked while walking inside.

Zandra sat as usually behind her desk with her nose buried in a large pile of papers.

''Happy Birthd…'' Oliver started to sing cheerfully, but he soon meet Zandra's honey-coloured eyes.

''Don't!'' She roared angrily as the pointed the top of her pen towards him.

''If you even much as hum one more note on that horrible song, you're so fired!'' She spat angrily. Oliver smiled and put his hands onto his waist.

''Oh come on. It's your birthday, don't you want to celebrate it?'' He asked and took a seat opposite her.

''The only thing I want today is to go see my brother, take a long warm bath and then go to bed early with a good book.'' Zandra sighed before going back to her papers. Something told Oliver that it wasn't going to happen.

Zandra was angry, no that wasn't enough. She was furious, outraged, what's worse then outraged?

She and Oliver had arrived at the prison as usually, and waited for Nick to be brought from his cell. But instead there was a guard who told her that Nick didn't want to see her. It didn't mattered how much she plead but they refused to bring him to her. So the only thing left that she could do was to go back home to the ranch.

She pushed herself inside the main-doors of the ranch and was immediately meet by every single guy who worked for her.

''SURPRISE!'' They called and Zandra fell backwards and luckily for her, Oliver was behind to catch her.

Zandra stood there with her chin hanging open and looked around to see all kinds of decorations, everything from balloons to those ridiculous hats.

''What the hell is going on here?'' Zandra spat slightly, more angry that they scared her then about the surprise. Everyone stood there in silence.

''It was my idea.'' Dawn said in a low voice as she walked forward. Zandra frowned her eyebrows.

''I found out it was your birthday and I just wanted to do something for you, to thank you for everything you have done for me. Letting me stay here and everything.'' Dawn added, but began to wish she didn't exist.

''And we wanted to help because you deserve it.'' One of the men said.

''Yes, even if you can be a pain sometimes…'' Another said.

''Watch it Jones!'' Zandra said in a warning tone and pointed a finger at him.

''But you are still the best boss we could have asked for.'' He added. Everybody else agreed with him.

''Just think, we could be stuck at the mansion with Paris.'' Another of them said and they all broke out in a laughed. Even Zandra couldn't keep herself from smiling.

''Alright, I guess I better get changed into something less comfortable then.'' She said in defeat.

''You're going to regret this.'' She whispered to Oliver before giving him a wink and left.

After a quick errand to town on his way back home to the mansion, Paris car had run out of gas. Luckily it wasn't far away and he could easily walk.

He could see the look-out tower beyond the trees surrounding the mansion. As he past a boulder onto the side of the road someone grabbed him from behind and pushed him hard up against it.

The first thing that popped up in his mind was Nick, but the man who stood before him with his muscular arm over Paris's neck was defiantly not Nick. One of the things that separated them both apart was this man's left eye. Like a fish-eye instead of a regular one.

''I know everything about you, and what you did.'' He hissed angrily as he pushed Paris more upwards. Paris tried to pull the strangers arm away but in vain.

''We have a mutual friend you and I. Does the name Nick ring a bell?'' Fish-eye added as a smirk grew across his lips. Paris's eyes filled with terror. This was it, he was done for.

''Don't worry, Nick has made it very clear that you're spoken for already.'' Fish-eyes chuckled.

''I'm just here to tell you that he's coming, when you least expect it.'' Fish-eye added before he punched Paris two times into his stomach and one across the face. Paris fell to the ground groaning and gasping for air and a busted lip and bleeding nose. When he finally could open his eyes, Fish-eye was gone.

Oliver stood into one of the corners and observed his General and friend. Zandra had changed into a dark red asymmetric halter neck dress that was short in the front and long in the back and her long auburn was let down from her usual high ponytail.

And for the first time in a really long time, she seemed to enjoy herself. She was beaming and laughing as she was dancing with some of the soldiers. And he couldn't stop himself from smiling.

But the party was soon interrupted when the doors were slammed opened and they could all see Paris's beaten face.

''What the hell is going on here?'' He roared angrily. But nobody bothered to answer him. Paris pointed over at Zandra and glared at her with dark eyes.

''We need to have a little chat.'' He said. Zandra looked at him slightly taken back, but still quite pissed. Oliver hurried to Zandra's side and was about to follow her with him.

''You stay here.'' Paris hissed over at him.

''I don't answer to you, I'm not letting her out of my sight.'' Oliver hissed back.

''Zan, can you please call of your guard-dog.'' Paris sighed in frustration and looked back at his ex-girlfriend. Zandra turned back to Oliver.

''It's okay, I'll be fine.'' She smiled at him before turning back to all the others.

''Go on with the party, I'll be back.'' She told them before following Paris. She closed the door behind them.

''You don't tell me what to do Paris.'' She hissed angrily as she rushed before him down the hallways to her office.

''Hear me out.'' Paris called after her.

''Not in front of them.'' She hissed again.

''NOT EVER!'' She screamed in rage.

''Just listen to me!'' He said and got a hold of her arm making her spin around. It wasn't until now that she really got a real look at him.

''What happened to your face?'' She asked, slightly concerned.

''Why don't you ask your brother.'' Paris replied sarcastically and touched his sore lip carefully.

''What? Nick's in prison, I were there earlier today.'' Zandra spat back at him angrily. Now Paris got even angrier.

''You still visit him? What about loyalty Zan?'' He hissed at her.

''Don't call me that! Ever heard about family loyalty?'' She spat at him and started to walk again.

''He doesn't deserve it.'' Paris muttered as he followed her. They soon reached her office and walked inside.

''Why are you here Paris, you're wasting my time.'' She said and sat down into her chair.

''I could see that. It must have been very important to dance your troubles away.'' He said sarcastically and sat down opposite her.

''At least I get a party, what do you get?'' She spat back.

''I'm having problem getting mine under control. But I'll get there.'' He said and looked down into his lap but soon brought his gaze back to her.

''I'm just here to thank you for this morning. I know if you hadn't gotten there in time, Chel might still not be alive.'' He whispered.

''How is she?'' She asked.

''We talked. It will take time, but she'll get through this. We both will.'' He said. Zandra nodded.

''I'm sorry that I ruined your party.'' He said and stood up before walking over towards the doors but Zandra called after him.

''There is something you should know, about Nick.'' Zandra said. Paris turned around to face her.

Days passed and eventually a whole week. Slowly, but surely Chel started to heal. There was a long way to go in her recovery and in Paris's as well. But for now, Paris had more urgent things to worry about. Every second of every day Paris made sure to watch over his shoulder.

A whole week and no sight of Nick or anyone of his ''goons''. Maybe Nick had forgotten all about his vendetta and put all of that behind him. As if.

Even with Fish-eyes threat, Paris had work to do. He and Jack sat together in the study and going through some of the last paperwork for the day. They but jumped by the loud ring tone bouncing from wall to wall.

''Hello.'' Paris answered. If he had even a slight hint of colour left in his face, it disappeared fast. He buried his face into the palm of his hand and hung up the phone.

''Paris, who was is?'' Jack asked, almost afraid of what the answer would be. Paris looked back up at his best friend.

''It was Zandra. Guess who's out of jail?'' Paris sighed.

Things are about to get pretty serious. Nick is out, when will he strike? Who will he strike and who will get hurt?

Aww love the part with Jack and Breanna, and Fiona Walking in on them. Hahaha!

Why did Nick suddenly start refusing Zandra's vists? What does Fish-eye mean about he knows what Paris did? What big secret is that they are all keeping?

Paris can be a jerk somtimes :/
