Chapter 20: Chocolate
He sighed in contentment as the favors rolled over his tongue. It was so sweet and he just loved the taste of the treat.
It went against everything he ever believed about diet and exercise, but he felt one should indulge themselves every once in a while.
As he finished the treat, he did his best to make sure the wrappers were disposed of properly and all evidence was vanquished.
Satisfied at his task, he went back to his room and tried to quell the guilt that rose within him.
A knock at the door startled him and he told whoever it was to enter.
Leonardo registered shock as he took in the chocolate on his father's face.
"Sensei, did you get into my Halloween candy again?" he asked his father.
Splinter sighed. "Yes, my son, but I will make it up to you somehow."
Leo nodded and disappeared to his room.
Yes, sometimes you had to pay the price for indulging in chocolate even if it meant getting caught by one of your sons.
