Chapter 27: Clumsy
Slash hid in a corner and eyed his adversary. He knew he would have to do all he could to catch him before he was defeated.
Taking a deep breath, he snuck up on his enemy and got ready to attack.
And tripped over a car Mikey had left on the floor.
Slash growled in frustration. He had been so close this time!
"Nice try, Slash, but next time, try not to be so clumsy," Leo lectured.
"It's not my fault Mikey left that damn car on the floor!" the larger mutant turtle groused.
Leo smiled. "That's true. I'm going to have to have a talk with him about that. You wanna try again?"
Slash shook his head. "Nah, we can do this another time."
Leo put a hand on his friend's shoulder. "Don't be discouraged, Slash. You'll get it with practice."
"Yeah, I know. Thanks, Leo."
"Anytime," Leo answered.
Slash decided to stay for a little bit and watched an episode of Space Heroes with Leo. When Leo brought out a bag of chips and offered it to him, Slash couldn't help but grin.
At least he'd achieved one victory today.
