What we once were
Early that next morning everyone was rushing all over. At the beach-house there was chaos. Since Amazonia couldn't travel because of the baby and she was soon due to give birth, she would stay at the beach-house until the baby was born. In the mean time Fiona would stay with Declan and Breanna would come to the mansion.
''Breanna, have you seen my make-up bag?'' Fiona called from upstairs.
''I think I saw it in the bathroom.'' Breanna called back from the kitchen. Fiona could be heard coming down the stairs with her wet long green hair in a towel. Jack walked in from outside and into the kitchen.
''That was the last one of your bags. From the packing you might think that you were moving out for good.'' He complained and pretended his back hurt.
''Never, I love this place.'' Breanna said and packed that last of Hope's things into another bag. Jack walked around the counters and into the kitchen area and snuck up behind Breanna.
''But you can't deny that it will be good to have some us time.'' He whispered into her ear and wrapped his arms her waist. Breanna giggled.
''You're aware that we have to sleep in separate rooms right? Even if Paris won't be there, it doesn't mean that it's safe.'' She said and turned around to face him. Jack growled.
''But that doesn't mean that I might be able to pay you a little night-visit.'' Breanna added and leaned in to kiss his. Fiona came out from the bathroom and into the kitchen area.
''Could you two please stop slobbering all over each other and help me pack!'' She whined with her tooth-brush in her mouth.
Back at the palace most of them were getting ready to leave to visit Ruby. Tulio knew that he has to say goodbye to his grandmother, but at the same time he hated that fact that he had to leave Amazonia back home. But so that she wouldn't be alone, Paris was going to stay back to keep her company.
''I don't feel comfortable with leaving you right now. Our baby is due in only a week.'' Tulio sighed and stroke her stomach softly.
''Don't worry. Paris's is going to take good care off us while you're gone.'' She smiled and placed both of her hands onto her large bump.
''And when you get home again, I'll tell baby boy that it's time to come out.'' She giggled. Tulio leaned in and gave her a kiss on the lips before walking over to the ship. Paris said his goodbyes to Chel and Teddy who boarded the ship as well.
''Are you ready?'' He asked as he approached Amazonia. She nodded and they headed to the beach-house.
After a long ride through the galaxy, they had finally arrived. Topaz, Miguel walked out of the ship first, followed by Riven and Tulio, and lastly Musa with Melody in her stroller and Chel while holding Teddy's hand in hers.
They walked through the gates into the well cared garden. Topaz's older sister Onyx came outside and meet greeted them.
When they got inside most of Topaz's others siblings were there, including her other two younger sisters Sapphire and Emerald. While she friendly greeted the others, Topaz wouldn't look at Sapphire. And by the looks off it Miguel wasn't so keen either.
Topaz made her way up the stairs and knocked onto her mothers bedroom door. When she slowly opened the door she saw her mother laying into her bed, pale and thinner than the last time they saw each other.
''I'm here mom.'' Topaz smiled.
There was dark outside and there was a storm coming and wind almost knocked the trees over. Amazonia and Paris sat into the living-room at the beach-house.
''How are you doing know when Nick is gone?'' Paris asked her. Amazonia sighed and stroke her stomach.
''Fine, I suppose.'' She said weakly.
''But there is a part off me that can't keep shake the feeling off that somewhere deep down, he didn't want to hurt me.'' She sighed again. And she was right. Paris knew that really Nick had no interest in Amazonia, it was him that he wanted to hurt.
''How's the situation with Zandra?'' Amazonia asked and looked over at him. Paris growled and covered his face with his palms.
''I don't think that she will ever forgive me.'' He sighed sadly.
''And that is important to you? More that for work reasons that is.'' She asked. Paris looked at her before looking away.
''Zandra was the first girl I ever loved.'' He sighed sadly.
''Of course she will always play an important part off my life. And when she looks at me, I want her to remember what we meant to each other once. Not how much she hates me.'' Paris added.
Musa, Riven, Tulio, and Chel sat together in the living-room. There was like a think fog all over the house and everywhere you looked you could see a couple of teary eyes. Topaz came down the stairs and stopped in front of them.
''She wants to talk to you Musa.'' The queen said. Musa looked slightly shocked for a moment, but slowly stood up and climbed up the stairs. She walked over to the door leading into Ruby's bedroom and knocked onto the door.
''Come in.'' A weak voiced called from inside. With a shaking hand Musa turned around the doorknob and peeked inside.
''You wanted to see me.'' She said with a weak smile. Ruby gave her a smile back and waved her in.
''Come on in dear. Could you please walk over to the dresser over there?'' Ruby asked and pointed over to a big dresser in mahogany. Musa did as she was told and walked over to it.
''Look in the second draws and bring the red velvet box to me.'' Ruby said. Musa pulled out the second drawer and it didn't take long until she found what she was looking for. She took the velvet box and walked over to Ruby and sat down besides her.
''What's inside this box, is yours.'' Ruby said and placed her left hand on Musa's.
''You brought my family back together. You gave me and my daughter a second chance. I can't thank you enough.'' She added with a wide smile.
''Go on, open it.'' She demanded. Musa smiled and carefully opened the box. Inside was a gold necklace with small diamonds in it. Musa gasped.
''My grandmother gave me this when I got married, now it's yours.'' Ruby smiled.
''I can't take this.'' Musa insisted and shook her head.
''Nonsense! It's yours, and when the time comes you give it to Melody.'' Ruby said in a determined tone.
After a long day taking Paris's place to run the whole mansion, Jack was exhausted. Most of them was probably fast asleep now, and he couldn't wait to get into bed as well. When he finally got to his bedroom, he was surprised to find someone in there. Breanna was laying onto his bed, dressed in a black silky bathrobe.
''Finally, I was worried I might have got the wrong room.'' She said and stood up. Jack quickly closed the door behind him and leaned against it while grinning widely. Breanna let the bathroom slip off her, revealing the black lace underwear she was wearing underneath. Jack didn't waste any time to keep his shirt on. Suddenly he wasn't so tired anymore.
The worst of the storm seemed to be over, but how much damaged it had made was still unknown. Paris laid fast asleep into one of the guest-rooms at the bottom-floor and Amazonia was asleep in the other one. Paris slept peacefully until he heard Amazonia's high-pitch screams from inside her own room.
''PARIS! PARIS!'' She screamed and Paris jolted out of bed grabbing his sword handle laying onto the night-stand next to him and pressed the button, making the blade appear. He was prepared for anything, maybe a burglar had forced his way inside the beach-house. He ran out of his room and into Amazonia's with his sword ready.
''What? What is it?'' He asked and looked around, but there was nothing or no one else in the room except himself or Amazonia. Paris frowned his eyebrows as he lowered his sword and looked at Amazonia sitting up in bed with a strange expression on her face.
''What are you screaming for? I thought someone had broken in.'' He said slightly irritated. Amazonia panted slightly and looked up at him with a terrified expression.
''My water just broke. The baby is coming.'' She whimpered slightly. Now it was Paris's time to get terrified. He would have preferred the burglar.
OMG! The baby is coming! :O Will Tulio be able to get back home before he/she is born? What do you think the baby will be? Liam or Ruby?
Next time: Tulio rushes home for the birth and Paris is forced to deliver the baby.
