Chapter 29: Flawless
Everyone always said he was flawless, but they were wrong.
Sure, he was smart and could invent anything he got his hands on, but he still had flaws.
April was one such flaw in his life.
He just didn't know what to do about her.
One minute she was talking to him and agreeing to meet him for a date.
The next minute, she canceled because of a date with Casey Jones.
He had to get rid of Jones for good, but how could he do it?
Thinking fast, he had an idea and immediately acted on it.
The next day, April came in looking put out.
"What's wrong, April?" Donnie asked.
"Casey can't go on a date with me because he got a letter from his teacher saying that he's failing Spanish and his dad grounded him."
Donnie concealed a grin and tried to look sympathetic. "That's a shame, April."
Then April smiled. "Donnie, would you like to go to Murakami's with me?" she asked.
Donnie's eyes lit up. "I'd love to," he said.
"Great, let's go," she said.
As they left the Lair, Donnie smiled to himself, happy that his flawless plan had worked perfectly.
