Chapter 43: Stunning

He gasped as he saw her come into the Lair wearing the prettiest dress he had ever seen.

He always marveled at her beauty, but this time, there was only one word for how she looked.

"You look stunning, April," he said.

She blushed at his words. "Thanks, Donnie," she said. "Are you glad I came?"

He nodded. "I know you wanted to go to the dance, but I really wanted you to be here, so it's sweet that you came."

"I like it here better than any old dance," she replied.

He laughed and took her hand. "Would you like to dance?"

"I'd love to," she replied.
