Chapter 51: Historical
Renet sighs as she continues her dusting.
She thinks about all of the historical places and events she has witnessed as Mistress of Time.
Her favorite has to be her encounter with the famous Turtle Warriors.
She takes a break and decides to check the Orb Of Hindsight to see how they are doing.
She lets out a gasp at what she sees and can't believe her eyes.
This isn't supposed to happen!
Not for years to come!
She has to change it quickly.
Renet reaches for the Time Scepter but a hand stops her.
"Let it be, child," Lord Simultaneous says.
"But this isn't supposed to happen now!" Renet protests. "I have to change it and make it right."
"Sometimes, events don't always go as they are planned to be," he replies. "This must be as it is. It will help them to grow."
She bursts into tears. "It's not fair!" she wails. "Why do things like this have to happen?"
He sighs. "It is the way of the world, child. Not everything has a happy ending. All we can do is watch over them and if they need us, we will be there. But you cannot change this event from happening for it will happen anyway as it was meant to."
Renet isn't happy about that, but she knows there's nothing she can do.
Sometimes, historical events sucked.
