Chapter 55: Pick
April let out a frustrated groan and threw her pencil on the floor.
She just couldn't concentrate on schoolwork today as she had a much bigger problem to work out.
She was so confused about both Donnie and Casey and it was driving her mad.
Donnie was so much like her and had rescued her too many times to count. She owed him her life and really enjoyed being with him, and she knew that he liked her too and had since they had first met.
But she had a feeling it wouldn't work out based on the lifestyle they led and how they had to hide forever from the world.
Casey could be sweet at times, but there were times where he grated on her nerves and she wanted nothing more than to punch him in the face.
She knew she would have to pick one eventually and she dreaded when that day would come for what it would do to the one who was rejected.
But for now, she decided to focus on other matters. They had enemies to defeat and a war to end.
Her love life could take a backseat for now.
A/N: I hope you liked this one. I knew when I saw the prompt that I had to write about April and her conflicted feelings. I think she should be with Donnie myself as Casey is far too arrogant to suit my tastes and I also feel like punching him in the face because he reminds me of a lot of the guys in high school I had to deal with.
