72. Chapter 72

Chapter 72: Yucky

"Here is your dinner, my sons," Splinter said as he set plates of peas on the table for his four boys.

Mikey turned up his nose as he inspected the peas. "Yucky," he said.

"No, Michelangelo, they are not yucky," Splinter corrected him. "They are supposed to help you grow big and strong. Watch your brother." He gave some peas to Raph and waited to see if he would eat them.

Raph turned up his nose at the offending food. "Yucky," he said.

Splinter sighed and tried to get Donnie to eat.

Donnie inspected the peas but pushed his plate away. "Yucky," he said.

Maybe Leonardo would be better with this for he always did what Splinter asked.

Leo dutifully took a bite of the peas then wrinkled his beak and spat them out. "Yucky," he said.

Splinter let out a sigh and admitted defeat as he took the plates away and gave his sons some apple sauce instead.

Sometimes, being a father was an uphill battle.
