Chapter 80: Monochrome
"Donnie, I have a question," Mikey said.
"What do you want, Mikey?" Donnie asked.
"Why aren't we different colors?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that we're just green and we don't have any other colors other than our masks and our eyes. I saw this documentary about birds and there are birds that have different colors on them. I just wish we did too."
"I'm sorry, Mikey, but we're just a monochrome color," Donnie said.
"What's mondochrome mean?"
Donnie chuckled. "Monochrome means just one color and that's what we are. But we are all different shades of green. You and I are a lighter green than Leo and Raph."
"Hmm, I never really noticed that. So, does that mean we're special?"
"Yeah, we're very special, Mikey. Does that make you feel better?"
"Yeah, it does. Thanks, D."
"That's what I'm here for, Mikey."
