Chapter 87: Dead Wrong
Leo felt a surge of frustration after they buried Splinter.
How could he have missed the signs that his father was trying to tell him?
How could he have blatantly ignored his father's words?
Because you didn't want it to be true, a voice in his head replied.
No one ever wanted to see their parents die or believe that it would happen before they were ready for it.
He sat down in the woods and tried to meditate to clear these feelings from his mind.
His father was gone now and he needed to face it.
He breathed deeply and willed himself to be free of thought.
"Leonardo."
He opened his eyes and searched around until he saw the form of his father standing in front of him.
Was he dreaming this?
Splinter assured him that he wasn't reaming and that he needed to defeat Shredder once and for all.
Leo stated that he didn't know if he could go on without his father, and Splinter told him that he must because his brothers needed him.
Resolve coursed through Leo's veins at his father's words.
Yes, his brothers needed him and he couldn't abandon them.
He left the spirit of his father and went back to let the others know what needed to be done.
Shredder needed to be taken down once and for all before he hurt anyone else.
"I'll do it for you, Father," Leo whispered.
A/N: I thought Owari was an awesome episode and one of the best season finales ever. I also loved the movie one reference with Leo meditating and then seeing Splinter though it was longer than in the movie. Feel free to leave a review and have a shelltastic day.
