02 Moon

"What's it like?" she asks him in a quiet, warm dream. The steady breeze from the table fan hits at her back and plays with her hair as she sits cross legged beside him on the floor, their faces turned up towards the window.

"Round," he says.

Yin considers his answer for a moment before she gets up and returns with a glass of water. Her fingers don't feel the cold as she dips them into the glass, but she feels a chill in her chest when her spectre finds a violet starlit sky that is as moonless as it has been for years.

She can't dream up something she's never seen.

Her spectre turns towards Hei, watching him watch something she can't.

"What's it like?" she asks again.

He returns her spectre's gaze, studies the lines and shadows of her face as he thinks about his response this time. She starts feeling the imagined lick of the water before he finally answers.

"Silver."
