I apologize in advance for the slowed down updates, work gets intense during the holiday season. I will try and make them happen a bit faster. All you guys are faemazing, and thanks for the continued support with this story. The story will have slight canon but not the exact way the show went, keep that in mind when reading this chapter. A HUGE THANKS TO INEVITABLY WICKED, for creating a twitter for my crazy stories, love the wording, but I am not wicked, maybe a little. Perfect wording, sweet torture, mystery style, I truly love it.
Warning Lauren/Kimber M rated scene written by LostGirlz (my writing partner in crime on Don't You Remember)…thanks yet again
Lauren barely glanced in the shifter's direction. She silently smirked to herself at his last statement. It was no disrespect to the Wolf Spirit but the pothien had little faith in the ancient fae. The blonde felt that she probably knew more about her own fae type then the Spirit but for the sake of the group, she would go along. She slowly dragged her eyes in his direction, trying desperately not to roll them. Her eyes scanning over Bo and she saw a glint of hope in her eyes. After everything they just laid on the table the last thing she wanted was Bo to think there was a chance of anything breaking this. Literally just moments ago telling the woman, she knew she had to love deeply, that she didn't care if she died. To Bo having faith in something she shouldn't.
The succubus was still trying to deal with the feeling that filled her entire body since the pothien's harsh confession. A confession Bo needed to hear right from the pothien's mouth. To see the look in Lauren's eyes. To stop pretending. She needed it, to be the champion her friends wanted. As painful as it was to hear, as hallow as she now felt, it gave her the strength she needed. Now Bo no longer feared death, a heart break like this is worse than death, and only now she could be Lochlan's champion. When Dyson spoke she stopped breathing. She felt her heart beat rise despite several attempts to stop it. To not allow herself to have anticipation of the impossible. Her heart won the battle over her mind as she glanced over at the shifter, the shimmer of hope in those now empty eyes. "What did she say," Bo barely whispered the words out as she felt them catch in her throat. It was almost painful to think of a possibility after what she just endured. Nothing the Garuda could do would be worse then what Evony did and was Bo's number one priority after she fought the impending doom.
Dyson felt the air in the room thicken with tension as all eyes were on him. He shifted around uncomfortable secretly wishing he didn't say anything at all. It was true, he had some news but it wasn't much. The news was also very vague. Now he felt everyone staring at him waiting for what he had discovered. At that moment he wished he could rewind time and take back what he said. He only spoke to break the angst mood that was set in the room when they entered. They dead lock stare the two fae had on each other was painful just to gaze upon. Bo looked empty, vanished was that girl full of life, and what was standing there was her shadow self. Lauren had that pure, robotic look on, that she got whenever she stared at Bo. It was sickening. Knowing the pain each had to be feeling in their own way, then listening to Lauren's confession he had to say something, anything, and that is what came out.
"What is it you know Dyson," Trick sympathetically asked as he watched Dyson move around slightly uncomfortable. The Blood King knew the wolf heard Bo, but saw him contemplating if he should speak or not. For Trick it was easy to tell that Dyson didn't have the full answer that everyone else was expecting, all but Lauren, as he saw the doubt in her eyes.
"It's not much, but it is a start," the shifter wanted to let them know off the bat he didn't have the answer. But what she did tell him meant there was a way. It was more than they had in the past three months. He took a deep breath, staring directly at Bo, knowing it was the succubus that was the most eager, "She told me there is a way to undo the compulsion."
Before Dyson got to say another word it was Lauren who spun around to face him. Tilting her head as her eyebrows creased together. She made no attempt to hide the confusion written all over her. "It's impossible," Lauren wasn't sure if she was questioning or telling him.
"It's not," the shifter put his attention on her now. This is exactly why he didn't know who was getting the worst part of this whole situation, Lauren or Bo. Now was one of times where he felt each one's perspective on this new information. Lauren looking confused at the possibility of something she thought was completely out of her control. Accepting that what she had, she would only learn from what she heard. And Bo, making peace with herself that a part of her was gone, and always would be. Coming to terms with it and pushing it down to be their champion. He wished he had more because he knew they didn't deserve any further torture. "She didn't say how Lauren just that it could be undone and would be when we least expect it."
Bo leaned onto her knees as she let her head fall forward, racking her hands through her hair as she interlocked her fingers behind her head. She just didn't have the strength to look at anyone right now. Tonight she needed and she got it but it was emotional draining. The succubus didn't want to even move out of the chair contemplating if Trick would just throw a blanket over her. She knew not to get her hopes up but despite her best intentions they did anyway. It was the sound of a cell phone going off that caused Bo to direct her eyes up. She knew that ringer, it was Lauren's, and she had an idea of who would be calling. When she saw the pothien glance down at her phone before looking around she knew it was Kimber. Her soon to be replacement.
Lauren stepped out of the chambers to pick up her phone. Kenzi walked over to her boyfriend hitting him in the chest, "Really? That was it? What are we Sherlock and Watson, we got to put the puzzle together with that? Worse than a Rubik's Cube," she leaned into him knowing his intentions were good but still disappointed in the results.
Dyson wrapped an arm around the tiny goth as he pulled her close kissing the top of head. Thankfully that nothing could be done like that to him. He would never have to worry about losing his love for Kenzi. Now the only thing he had to worry about was one day losing the Goth herself. "I didn't go to the Wolf Spirit for that. It was information she told me. If she felt it was important enough to tell me, then it was enough to tell all of you." He knew Kenzi wasn't fae she didn't understand many of the things that were important to them. Things like the Wolf Spirit. Even Trick seemed intrigued by the news.
She had her face nuzzled in his chest as she watched her best friend. Kenzi wanted to do something to comfort her. But Bo told her before when Lauren was talking to Trick, that tonight she needed to just be alone. And the Goth understood why. For three months, Bo pushed this off not wanting to discuss it or talk about it. With the rise of the impending doom of the Garuda it forced Lauren to talk to Bo. At first Kenzi thought it was a super bad idea but now she understood. It made sense what Lauren was doing she was giving Bo the only part of her she could give her, the physical part. That little push was all the succubus needed and it made her go to Lauren seeing Kimber. That is when reality hit Bo, and it she needed to deal with it in her own way. Kenzi let her know she would do what she wanted, but was just a phone call away if she decided to change her mind. It was only after Kenzi thought about all that, when her boyfriend's words sunk in. She gazed up at him giving him that quizzical look, "Why did you go to the Wolf Ghost?"
The Shifer's smile played out wide across his face. Only Kenzi could make Dyson smile like that. "Wolf Spirit," he corrected as he kissed her. This wasn't the time but he knew his girlfriend's persistence would be relentless. "I went to ask her if a wolf could choose a human as his mate," his smile went to a grin knowing she was his mate. With all that has been going on he never had the chance to tell her.
Kenzi was still staring at him. It took a second for it to register. Her eyes widened as she brought her hand to cover her mouth. After a second she dropped her hand back down to hit Dyson for the second time that night, "I'm your mate?" For once she had no sarcastic comment and threw her arms around his neck pulling him into a kiss. Breaking away quickly as she glanced over at Bo who had the best attempt at a smile for the two of them. Kenzi felt for her best friend, "I am sorry Bo-bo."
"No, don't be, we need some good news around here." She tried to sit back up in the chair. Looking over at the door when Lauren came back in. The doctor mumbled an apology as she started to gather her things. Bo didn't want to do this but knew there wasn't much options left. With all the energy she had remaining in her system she peeled herself off the chair and went over to Lauren grabbing her arm to get her attention. "What kind of fae is Kimber?" Seeing the look the pothien was giving Bo continued, "This isn't me being a jealous ex Lauren. You wanted me to be the champion and the champion needs warriors. Would Kimber fight for you?" Did she want to fight the Garuda with Kimber at her side, not particular, but considering it could help them she was willing to deal with it.
"I wouldn't ask her to," Lauren answered honestly. She didn't want Kimber to get hurt in all this. She accepted this fate as punishment for her betrayal. If she didn't die from the Garuda she would tell Lochlan. The secret was out and she wasn't going to carry the burden around anymore. Not for Evony, not after what she did, and the doctor still had her own plans for the Morrigan. "And she's a Hysminain." She observed Bo's clueless perception of what type of fae that was. "The fae of fighting and combat."
Bo cocked her head to the side. Of all the fae Kimber had to be it had to be the one type that they really could use. "Well if she cares about you she would be willing to fight beside you, to protect you, and seems like she is the perfect fit." She let her fingers slide off of Lauren's arm, reluctantly letting her go, knowing it was the last time she would ever touch the pothien again. She headed towards the chamber door before addressing her friends, "You wanted and needed a champion. And I will be that. There are things I need to do alone first." And with that she pushed through the doors leaving the Dal completely. She didn't want to get into some long heroic speech because honestly she didn't really care for one. Right now she had one goal on her mind as she headed to her car.
The succubus just needed space. There was a lot on her plate in such a brief period of time. Bo did what she had to, and now there was one other thing she wanted to do. Her mission was cut short as her phone started ringing, grabbing it from inside the top of her boot, she answered without checking who was calling, "Yeah." She assumed it was one of her friends calling to check on her but was surprised to hear Lochlan on the other end.
"Bo, if you have a minute, I would appreciate you stopping at the compound. There is something I need to give to you, and only you," He kept his tone neutral not showing any of the emotion he was feeling. Lochlan might not be the warmest man but he could see the pain between the pothien and the succubus. He had no interest in getting involved in either of their personal business, but knew Bo was sensitive, which is why he kept his voice as neutral as possible.
Bo grabbed the wheel, turning the car hard as it screeched from the sharp movement. She made her way to the Light Fae Compound putting her own mission on hold for now. The last place she wanted to be was near the facility. As she parked and walked towards the building, she glanced over to the last place she talked to Lauren there. Bo remembered it like it was yesterday. It was the day her mother attacked the building. The brunette was clueless to what Lauren had done and was worried, sick to her stomach, thinking she might have been in the building during the explosion. The relief that flooded through her entire body as her eyes laid on the beautiful blonde doctor. And how that relief turned into the most sickening feel she ever felt as Lauren was the coldest she ever had been to Bo. Taking her outside, locking eyes with her telling Bo it was Vex that murdered Lou Ann's kids. That she knew and didn't tell Bo but if she went after Vex, the Mesmer would kill her and Lauren would allow it. She wanted to peel her eyes away from the spot as the memories came hurling back but she couldn't. How would she ever be able to forget that? Does anyone ever forget the day you lost the most important person in your life? Is it something that really goes away in time? She doubted it thinking the most that happens is you get used to the pain, and become numb inside to it. Right now that was how she felt. Numb and empty.
The brunette was so lost in her own thoughts she barely noticed the lack of guards inside the building. Moving down the hallways consumed with the harsh reality that became her life. She only was aware of her surrounding as she almost marched right past Lochlan's office. Actually having to back up to walk in.
Lochlan was just standing in the middle of the room. His back was towards her but he knew she was there. He was admiring the changes he had made to the place. Knowing his death was eminent. "Thank you for coming Bo," he didn't turn to face her.
Immediately Bo sensed the difference in the Ash. He wasn't his usual charming yet obnoxious self. There was a hint of sadness and acceptance in his voice. She knew that tone all too well as of late. Instantly empathizing with Lochlan, not even knowing what it was to trigger the change in him. "I made a decision, I will be your champion." If that would give him some comfort, Bo was more than happy to be the one to bring the news to him.
The corner of his lip twitched for the smile that never came. He knew she would eventually accept who she was. It was clear to him since the first day he met Bo. So different from any other fae. Not willing to accept their rules and politics. Insisting on living the way she wanted to live no matter the consequences. And the succubus faced more than her fair share of them but still stood by that motto. He admired her almost instantly. He moved his one leg back turning himself to the side. He wasn't facing Bo but his back wasn't towards her anymore. "I knew you would." He walked over to her grabbing her hand as he placed the vials in her hand. He closed her hands over them, "You need to get out of here as fast as you can. And take what I gave you to Lauren. Tell her it is my venom, the only weapon I can offer you to win against the Garuda." Now he was able to smile. The true champion had the weapon that was needed.
Bo couldn't take any more bad news. And even though it was obvious by what he was saying she didn't want to hear any unpleasant information. "Why can't you give it to Lauren? She is here every day?" Even as she asked the question she dreaded the answer. "And why do I need to leave so soon?" Now it hit her the lack of guards in the light fae building. "Where is everyone?"
The Ash straightened up as he spoke, "The Garuda has been one step ahead of us this whole time. I needed to give you the advantage for once. I have my guards out looking for where his hiding spot would be. Leaving myself only a skeletal crew. He will know and will come for me, to kill me. Since I am the one weapon that can kill him. He doesn't know about the vials and now you need to take those to the brilliant doctor. Let her know it was an honor working with her." The Ash could sense the change in the building and knew it wouldn't be much longer. "Bo, you have to leave now, he is here."
The succubus stayed, frozen, undecided. She wanted to run to make sure their one way of taking down this monster was safe. Bo also wanted to stay there, to be the champion, to protect the Ash, and he could kill the Garuda himself. Just the two of them. She didn't have time to contemplate any further as she felt his hands tighten around her arms throwing her back. She glanced up at him, his facial expressions were hard, "GO! NOW!" Bo stared at him for another minute before she turned on her heels running out of the facility as she heard commotion coming from the hall behind her.
LAUREN'S LOFT
The pothien opened the elevator door stepping into her loft staring at Kimber. The sexy fae was wearing one of the doctor's button down shirts with white lace boy shorts. Lauren tilted her head to the side as she took in the view. The hysminain was standing by the kitchen counter with her ipad in moving her body to the music she was listening to, completely oblivious to the pothien that had entered the room. The fae doctor dragged her bottom lip into her mouth letting it gently glide past her top teeth as she continued watching. This was a nice way to end her overall shitty day. Kimber bent over to pick up the fork she dropped and that was the last thing the blonde needed to push her over the edge as she moved towards her.
Kimber stood back up as she felt Lauren's arms wrap around her. She couldn't help the smirk that was forming knowing she could torment the pothien just a little. The hysminain cocked her head to the side as she felt Lauren's warm, wet mouth on her neck. Kimber pushed back into Lauren's hips, making the blonde doctor stop briefly while Kimber took advantage. Spinning around to face the blonde, she wrapped her arms around her neck letting the shirt fall open. Her lips crashing hard against Lauren's as she started unbuttoning her shirt. As the blonde pulled her shirt off of Kimber, leaving the darker haired fae in just the white lace panties.
Lauren breaks away from Kimber's lips to lick down her neck, her hand sliding down the fae's stomach. When the pothien reaches the top of the lace panties, she feels Kimber's hand on her shoulder pushing her back against the counter. There was seduction with a hint of playfulness in her eyes letting Lauren know she was going to be teased first. For a fae of fighting and combat she definitely knew how to drive the fae of sexual longing and desire absolutely crazy with craving and hunger. Lauren let out a soft groan as she was stopped, feeling the warmth between her own legs increase. Kimber was keeping the pothien back on purpose, her eyes on Lauren's, watching as the blonde was going over every curve. Lauren went to move forward and Kimber pushed her back again. This was a battle Kimber would win, this is the fae she was. Kimber moved a little closer as she continued unbuttoning the blonde's shirt. Kissing right above the buttons till Lauren's bra was exposed. Without breaking her lips from the pothien's skin, her hands pushed the shirt down her shoulders catching the bra straps as she did.
The blonde tilted her head back, putting her hands behind her to grab onto the counter to help keep her propped back, hissing out a moan as she felt Kimber's mouth on her breast. Her pants being undone as the hysminain gently tugged them down long toned legs, Lauren eyes fluttered shut when she felt the teeth of the brunette nipping at the tender flesh of hip bones then her tongue gliding down her inner thigh.
The pothien let loose a soft sigh as her legs were parted, only the thin scrap of a sheer lace thong standing between her and the ecstasy. Kimber breathed in deeply the scent of the blondes arousal, nuzzling her face in her crotch before flicking her tongue out over the material.
"Fuck!" Lauren was panting now, her hips bucking forward. White knuckled hands clenched the edge of counter, her back bowed tight as a bow. "I need….More"
"What do you want?" The brunette whispered playfully as her tongue snuck inside the thin material tasting the wetness gathered there. "Mmmhh. Tell me what you want" she breathed hotly.
Lauren growled through clenched teeth. "I want to fuck your face until I explode and then I want you to lick me clean." She left nothing to the imagination. After all the tenseness with Bo she needed the release in the worst way.
She needed to feel something.
Anything
Kimber did not disappoint. The pothien felt the scrap material ripped from her slender hips and her thighs splayed wide, held their by firm hands. The brunette covered every inch of the blondes soaking center and ate her like she was having her last meal. Lauren kept one hand clutching the counter and the other buried in dark hair, steadying herself as she rode Kimber's face and tongue in perfect rhythm.
"That's it…Ohh fuck that's it" Lauren gritted out, her body so tense she knew this orgasm would be big. She needed it so badly.
The sound of the brunette moaning and sucking her filled the air with her own gasps and groans. It carried like a feather on the wind as she drew nearer and nearer to completion. The sound of the buzzer made Kimber slow down her pace causing Lauren to groan out to the hysminain. When the sound hit again she pulled back, "Should you get that?" That playful smile firmly back on Kimber.
"NO," Lauren tried pulling her back but Kimber stood up kissing Lauren hard.
Breaking the kiss when the buzzer sounded again she pecked her lips, "To be continued." She stepped back, bending down to pick her shirt up off the floor giving Lauren a nice view. Winked and walked into the bedroom.
Lauren wanted to kill whoever interrupted this. As if her night wasn't bad enough. She got dressed the best she could before she hit the buzzer back just allowing the elevator to go down. The pothien didn't bother to ask who it was as she stood next to the door waiting for them to open. Her mouth dropped open slightly when she saw Bo. The absolute last person she would expect to see again, tonight. "Bo," it came out as a confused question and she meant it to be.
Bo took in Lauren's appearance knowing all too well what that look meant. To top her night off she would get to meet Kimber. Now the night hit the all-time low she wasn't prepared for. But she had to ignore it the best she could. There was a reason and a purpose to why she came there. She tried to speak but her throat went dry again. Trying a second time she managed to crook out, "Lochlan is dead." Bo had the intentions of telling the whole story but somehow that was all that came out.
Lauren raised her eyebrows thinking she couldn't have heard that right. "What," still confused as to why Bo would come there to tell her that.
The succubus reached into her leather jacket pulling out the vials Lochlan gave her. "He had his guards search for the Garuda's layer to give us an advantage. Knowing that being with so few would lure the Garuda in. It worked but Lochlan was able to give me his Naga Venom first. He told me to give it to you." Bo handed her the vial wanting to run out of there before Kimber emerged but it was too late as the sexy fae rounded the corner.
The pothien lifted the vial up as she was examining it not even noticing that Kimber was standing next to her. The hysminain turned her attention to Bo knowing Lauren was now in a trance with the venom. "I'm Kimber," she shook the succubus's hand. It didn't go unnoticed by Kimber how sexy Bo was. And she remembered her from that night at the Dal. The first night she met Lauren.
Bo fought the instinct to punch the fae out. Taking her hand, and giving a nice firm shake instead, "Bo." Trying not to let the jealousy she was feeling show through.
"How do you know he is dead?" Lauren finally returned back to what was going on. The scientist in her was trying to figure out what to do with the venom to keep it from coagulating.
The succubus was already headed back to the elevator stopping to answer, "Because I was in the building when he was coming for Lochlan. I left to make sure you got the venom I need to win. I trust you." And the elevator doors closed. Bo clenched her stomach as she felt it drop. Fighting the tears that threatened to rise.
She made her way to her car sitting in there for a few minutes not even knowing how she got in it. She needed to not think of Lauren and concentrate on the task at hand. But it was impossible. Especially now. Not only did she get to walk in, on what she was assuming was right after, but then she got to meet the fae pin up girl. Then she remembered her original mission before Lochlan's call. Bo turned the keys in her car bringing it to life as she pulled out of Lauren's parking lot.
Twenty minutes later she swung into a spot at Carpe Noctem. She marched into the building searching out the Mesmer. The succubus walked around the whole club and didn't see him. Anger was rising in her from everything that happened in the past few hours. She turned to leave and her hands started to betray her. Touching her body in an erotic way as she moved to the beat, knowing that she at least found Vex. When she spun around he caught her in his arms, "Now what do I owe the pleasure of having the unaligned sex machine in my club. Nice to see you darlin'."
The frustration she was feeling was hard to control. Seeing Vex and knowing he was there when Evony had her girlfriend erase her from her memory, made it painful to not knock him out. "I need your help?"
Vex looked intrigued, "Coming to the Dark for help, you are naughty." He motioned for her to follow him up the stairs to his VIP section. Grabbing a bottle of whiskey before sitting on the plush seat. "Need my help is it. And what is in this for me?" He was all for negotiating with the succubus.
"I will give you something you want," Bo answered. Watching him contemplate that she added in one more thing, "And, if you want, I will help you to become the Morrigan when I take that bitch down."
Vex leaned forward as a wicked smile formed, "Now love, you have my attention."
