A/N: First off I would like to apologize for completely disappearing for oh, just shy of 3 years. Seriously my bad! Shit hit the fan between work and the craziness I was lucky I had time to, idk, breathe. Thank you for those who didn't give up and are still here waiting for this madness to end. Continue to write your reviews they are what fuels me. I most likely will be finishing this one as I continue a Clexa story I am writing on the 100 (for those of you who watch the show check it out). For those who remember I did promise to let up with the angst. Without wasting any more time onto the story, hopefully it was worth the wait.

LAUREN'S LOFT

Lauren stood frozen in place still looking over the vials in her hand. She had no idea how she was going to turn this into something that would help kill the Garuda. The pothien was trying to process everything that just happened. She went to Bo, to clear the air, have their talk and get them their champion. The strength the succubus showed impressed the pothien unexpectedly. She knew inside she emotionally ripped Bo apart. Yet the succubus held her ground staying firmly in place not cracking or collapsing. Instead she thanked her. The pothien left knowing they can finally move forward and fight together with no false hope lingering in the air. She was speechless when she saw the brunette walk out of the elevator. There was so much confusion seeing her there, dreading that it had to do with the Wolf Spirit. Lauren's stomach turned thinking she was going to explain this to Bo for the umpteenth time. She wanted to feel bad but that was impossible. Instead irritation was growing in her. The last thing Lauren expected to hear about was Lochlan's death. Now her she is holding the answer to their success. It almost amused her at the irony that their lives now depended on her and Bo working together. Only the two of them could beat the Garuda. She felt a hand wrap around her arm shaking the blonde from her immersed thoughts. Glancing over her side, her eyes met Kimber's, who now had Lauren's full attention. She gently placed the vials down on her desk as she pulled the hysminain into her embrace. "Where were we exactly," the pothien playfully teased as she kissed down the neck of the sexy fae.

Kimber put her hands into Lauren's hair. She softly groaned as the fae of desire knows all the places to kiss. Every touch was sending such intensity radiating through her. The dark haired fae lifted her eyebrows up nodding towards the vials, "That seems pretty important?" She couldn't help but toy with the blonde fae.

"Actually I think this is helping me concentrate." Lauren barely let out a breath as she continued her assault moving down towards her collarbone.

CARPE NOCTEM

Through all the pain, heart ache and despair that was now coursing through Bo's entire body she was able to grin at her devious plan. The succubus knew that these new feelings of emptiness were forever going to be a part of her. How can you find a love like that, a love that shouldn't exist except in fairy tales? How can you find that love and lose it as fast as it was found. The brunette couldn't help but feel this was just her luck. First she thought she couldn't even have a relationship without killing someone. When she found out she was fae that all changed. It just seemed that her fate was written long ago, and she could do nothing, but things the succubus was meant to do. Like now, to rise above her own pain for those she loved. Even if one in particular didn't love her back. It was no longer the time to breakdown. Bo went through the motions. Had her share of feeling nothing but sorrow to trying to feel nothing at all. This time it was different. Now she embraced everything she would never have. The succubus was prepared to have that long awaited talk. Mentally and emotionally readying herself for how harsh it could be. Nothing she imagined compared to the reality of the hurt she felt. Bo was pretty sure if she was hit by a Mac Truck and dragged for a block it would be less painful. Physical pain, for the most part, you can heal from. Can the same be said for emotional pain?

After the talk with the beautiful blonde fae she had to do what she was planning now. Originally Bo was going to put it off till after the battle with the Garuda. Realization hit the brunette that she might not live through the fight. Allowing herself to be honest; she no longer cared if she made it. What became priority number one was to save her family. With that currently on her mind, the succubus had to make her move on the Morrigan. There was no way she was going to die and not get back at Evony for the eternal torment she caused the unaligned fae.

DARK FAE COMPOUND

The Morrigan sat with her back to her desk as she looked onto the dark streets below. Sipping the martini she had in her hand debating what she would do when rebuilding the dark fae. Evony already figured she would make it through whatever the Garuda was planning. It wasn't in her nature to fail. If she had to align herself with him she would. Better to be the right hand to the devil than in his path. The dark fae heard the movement behind her. Slowly she spun her chair around, the smile wiped from her face as she saw the unaligned succubus in her doorway. "Apocalypse's can't even get rid of you honey. Seriously there are STDs that go away faster." Evony pulled the olive from her martini gliding the plastic knife through her teeth as she glared at the brunette standing there. "Sweetie, how do you get in here?" Thinking that she needed to hire more guards, or at least smarter ones.

Bo ignored the comment. For right now she wasn't there to fight. Letting her inner succubus slide through she seductively smiled at the Morrigan. Walking to her deliberately moving her hips in a provocative way. "You mean you're not happy to see me." The brunette licked her lips as she got to the desk sitting slightly in front of Evony. Picking up her martini she took a sip letting some of the liquid drip down her lip, down her neck. "Oops."

Being at a loss for words was not something the Morrigan was accustomed to but Bo's exotic movements almost had her in a trance. Being the leader of the dark fae she never liked to even seem even slightly out of control. It wasn't an easy task focusing on anything other than the enticing succubus. "And here I thought the human was sleeping with the wolf, yet you're the one drooling." Evony leaned back in her chair. She had nothing better to do at this point, so if the unaligned fae wanted to play games the dark fae was up for it.

The brunette ignored the typical Morrigan comment. She already saw Evony's aura burn brighter. This is the time Bo truly embraced her inner fae type. Anyone can say what he or she wanted to her, but their essence told the succubus all she needed. Her hand started to glow soft red as she gently rubbed Evony's arm, "Do you want me to go?"

"Now why would I want that?" Evony was under the succubus's thrall.

The succubus leaned in waiting to make sure her thrall was holding. When the Morrigan didn't pull back Bo leaned closer gently biting Evony's bottom lip. "Where's your bedroom?" She practically purred into her ear as she licked behind it.

"I love it when someone gets right to the point." With that Evony stood up and took Bo's hand as she headed out of her office. They walked down the long hallway making a right at the end. There was another long hallway with no doors except the ones right in front of them. Bo felt her stomach turn as she pictured how many times Lauren must have been in this very bed. It brought flashes of the first night she found out about the pothien compelling herself. How she told Bo with the harshest tone that she just slept with the Morrigan. She closed her eyes letting Evony guide her as she focused on the mission at hand. The only thing that would tear that image from her mind was what needed to be done.

Evony's bedroom was not at all how Bo pictured it. Once the two doors swung open there was a huge King size bed with white satin sheets and lush white pillows decorating it. There was a full size mirror that hung over what she could only assume was the closet doors on her right. To the left there was a giant size armoire. Bo couldn't figure out what was behind the headboard, it almost seemed like a hidden room. It had the appearance of a wall that wasn't solid, almost flimsy. This wasn't the time to concentrate on that as she pushed the Morrigan onto the bed. Quickly straddling her as the brunette kissed, licked and sucked her neck. Listening to the soft moans Evony was letting out. "Here I thought you were here to ask pestering questions about the pothien." This wasn't at all what the Morrigan was thinking when she saw Bo in her compound. Always waiting for her to confront her on what she walked in on all those months ago.

It was the exact moment Bo was waiting on. The only thing the succubus didn't know was how she was going to it bring up. Here it was cracked wide open for her. Bo leaned back keeping her flirtatious behavior intact. This is where the succubus was having trouble leaving the playful smile plastered on her face. She felt if it was anymore forced she'd be able to play the Joker in the next Batman movie. "I never did get to thank you for that, did I?"

The Morrigan wasn't sure what she was thanking her for however she never turned down praise. "Well your welcome sweetie," she leaned forward to kiss Bo. She was stopped in her place as she felt the succubus's hand keeping her at bay.

Before Evony had a chance to think Bo replied quickly. "I mean am I succubus. It's not in my nature to be monogamous. I was released from the hold she had on me." The brunette pulled Evony's shirt down exposing her bra. She dipped her head down licking the top of her breasts that were exposed. "Now I get to be who I truly am. Who I am meant to be."

The dark fae let out her mischievous laugh. "You're a lot brighter than I thought." She leaned back giving Bo better access. "And you are very very welcome." The succubus moved closer teasing Evony as much as she could with her tongue against the lace fabric. "Mmmm…you have to tell me how you did it. How did you get the pothien to do as you asked?" Before Evony got a chance to think about it Bo let her glowing hand push hair from the Morrigan's face. As she did she made sure to turn up her thrall to maximum capacity.

One thing Evony loved was to brag. If this was turning the succubus on she was definitely willing to share. The dark fae rolled her tongue over her teeth as if she could taste the memories. Her smug grin in place she started to tell Bo. "That sweetie was real simple. I knew her loyalties matched the dog she hung around with. But I can be very patient when I need to be. It was no secret that Lauren fancied those pathetic humans." She paused to roll her eyes in disgust. "When Nadia came I had the opportunity I needed." She beamed remembering how brilliantly she maneuvered everything just how she wanted.

Bo felt sick as she gave a warm giggle. She felt like a high school girl who just had the captain of the football team wink at her with how she just sounded. It made her want to kick her own ass, ignoring it she pressed on. The brunette's hand snaked up Evony's back unhooking her bra looking down at her chest like she was starved of any sexual pleasure. Yet she wouldn't continue till she heard more. Least that's how she made it appear. Bo dipped her head down giving just the right amount of teasing to leave someone begging for more. Before crashing her lips to Evony's once more. Pulling away she tugged at her chi. Bo didn't want the Morrigan to be suspicious. Plus it didn't hurt that she was a strong fae and there was an upcoming battle. As stopped the chi she barely breathed out, "How?"

At this point the Morrigan was smitten with the brunette. No idea how severely under Bo's thrall she already was. "I went to the Ash. Told him it didn't look good for dark or light fae of that power to be prancing around with a worthless human. I gave him the Shaman and he owed me one." She was applauding herself at her memories of what happened so many years ago.

Bo wanted to knock that cocky smile right off her face. Controlling her emotions when it came to the pothien has proven not to be her strong suite. But for now she had to. The brunette had to make sure she got this 100% right. There was no room for error because she knew this was the only shot she had at this. Bo was so thankful she met Kenzi and they started their investigations. It gave her so many opportunities to be undercover. Right now she needed to be that undercover ditz. The succubus laughed with the Morrigan. Kissing her lips softly before asking, "You planned it all. Having the Ash get the Shaman to create the curse as well as getting rid of the human lover. That way when you wanted you could go to Lauren and make it look like you were the one on her side. Making it seem that she could trust the dark fae, in particular you, more than her own. That is complete genius." Bo was having a hard time saying the words out loud. As she was, is when it really hit her how the Morrigan used the love of her life. Manipulating Lauren to be her own slave. Evony thought of the way to have the curse done, how to get it into action and when to be the fake hero. Bo wanted to knock a few of her teeth out.

"Honey, that's why I am the Morrigan. Hard as it is to believe it's not just my unbelievably good looks." She gave her best smile as she mentally patted herself on the back. Evony couldn't help but want a pothien on her side and what better way than to earn her trust. Of course it was under a complete lie, these were just minor details to her. The point was she won like she always tended to do. After all it wasn't her fault if she was always ten steps ahead. Evony was snapped out of her own appraisal as she felt her shirt being lifted up. Before she got to say anything Bo was already getting up causing the dark fae to get up with her. She wasn't sure what was happening as the affect the succubus had on her started to dissipate. Just as she was about to speak she felt her one arm shot into the air, followed by her other. "VEX!" Realization hit her hard as her body moved against her will.

The Mesmer took this opportunity to push the double doors open as he stepped in. He quickly turned towards Bo, "Now that was a wonderful theatrical performance if I do say so myself. Normally I only love them when I am the main attraction." He had Evony spin around as he complimented the brunette now standing next to him.

Bo's entire demeanor changed. No longer smiling or seductive. She closed her eyes as she slowly counted to ten to stop from attacking the dark fae leader. Anger written all over her. From her facial expressions to how she was standing. Arms across her chest, feet firmly on the floor, and her eyes never leaving Evony. "Thanks Evony I think I got just about everything I needed." Slowly, without breaking her gaze she crouched onto one knee pulling the recorder from her boot. Without saying a word Bo hit play on the small machine.

The Dark Fae leader listened to her own confession as the succubus played it. That's when it hit Evony that this was all planned by these two. She couldn't stop herself from laughing hard. She wanted to clap her hands but her arms were currently being pinned to her side from the Mesmer. "Well congratulations succubitch you condemned me and the pothien to hell. Nothing like a woman scorned." The Morrigan was no fool if Bo wanted to use this tape against her it was death for Lauren to. Which now made the whole situation extremely entertaining. All she had to do was figure out ways she would punish Vex for at least the next decade or two.

The succubus didn't even flinch as Evony spoke. She anticipated her saying this. "Really? You think I went through all this not knowing how you are?" Bo let the arrogant sound to her voice shine through. She glanced at the Mesmer next to her as they both grinned at each other. This was part of their plan. "You think manipulating the Ash and the head of the light fae's lead doctor isn't going to be dire consequences for you? You used entrapment with Lauren. Making her believe her own side turned on her." Her words held conviction.

Evony loved the wicked grin that was automatically forming. She licked her teeth tasting her victory that was oh so close. "Silly baby fae, you think the elders will just, what, dismiss Lauren for betraying Light Fae secrets to not just the dark, but the Leader of them." The Morrigan was delighted at how this plan was backfiring.

Vex himself was entertained as he let go of his hold on Evony for a split second so he could do his own celebration. He clapped his hands together loudly before spinning around. Going next to Evony pulling her towards him giving her a dip. "This part you're going to love." He nodded at Bo letting her know to continue. He couldn't help himself in all his many years he never was able to outmaneuver Evony.

"I think they are going to be willing to overlook it. Considering without Lauren I can't, and I won't beat the Garuda. They are all powerful, they can come out of hiding and do it themselves." Bo thought every aspect of this plan through before making a move. At first the rage she felt made her want to kill the Morrigan. It was only after her painful talk with Lauren that she realized that death was too good for Evony. Instead switching the situation and making the Morrigan the slave seemed to be a much better fit. To suffer as Lauren had to, has to, if she wanted to be technical. Sweet revenge.

That was something that Evony wasn't counting on. She didn't take into consideration their impending doom. If Bo played this for the fae elders now it would be her demise. One thing the dark fae leader was positive of was they would give Lauren a pass. She couldn't figure out why Lauren was essential to defeating the Garuda but if it meant Bo wasn't going to fight at all it would be enough. Knowing she no longer had the upper hand with the succubus she put her attention on her fae. "What do you think will happen to you Vex dear? Attacking your leader? You'll be next to me or did you forget this place is rigged with cameras?" She was holding onto any face that she still had. Crumpling wasn't her strong suite.

"Do you think I'm stupid?" He sat down on the edge of her bed as he faced her. Taking his time getting comfortable, putting his one leg over the other and folding his hands as he placed them on his lap. "Love, we disabled those before we even came in." One of the reasons Vex decided to play nice with the brunette. "Now finish telling her all the fun parts." He was truly enjoying every second of this.

Bo couldn't help the grin that was starting to form. "Instead of playing this for the fae elders, right here, right now, we are going to come to a little agreement." She broke her guarded stance as she moved closer to Evony. "First, you're going to resign as the Morrigan. Next, you are going to state Vex as your replacement." The succubus leaned forward as she patted Evony's leg. "Don't worry though you will be his second in command. He will rely heavily on you doing a lot of work for him." She made sure to point that out. Bo was starting to enjoy herself. The Morrigan would get to live as Vex's helping hand. "Oh and if you think that after I defeat the Garuda, which I will do, that you'll turn yourself in to take down both you and Lauren don't bother. After they know that she helped me to win and they all have her to thank for saving their asses, I know they will still give her a pass. She also has the support of the Blood King." The brunette wasn't leaving any stone unturned after all this was no ordinary fae she was dealing with.

Evony's blood was boiling. Here she was able to outsmart the pothien and the Ash but yet this fae newborn was tearing her down. The Morrigan wouldn't show it. Losing was bad enough she couldn't give the two fae in front of her the satisfaction of seeing her break. The Leanan Sidhe wasn't going to go down without some kind of victory. Her mind was working fast as she saw the two preparing to leave. "You must feel real proud of yourself succuslut but there's one thing you forgot." She waited for Bo to turn and look at her before continuing. "You make have won against me, for now, but Lauren still will never love you." Evony's lips pulled back as the wicked smile formed. She felt slightly gratified with that last remark knowing it dug in deep as she saw Bo stiffen.

The words went right through Bo like razor blades that she couldn't see but only feel. She had everything planned out to a T. There were many comments she was expecting, that was not one of them. Everything with Lauren was old but yet so fresh. The wounds were just torn right open when they had their conversation. Things that Bo was starting to accept but needed to hear it from the pothien. Through everything it still didn't prepare her for just how much it tortured her. The perfect word, torture. That's what her love felt like a bittersweet torment. The brunette knew it wasn't possible to love anyone else so deeply. Their connection was something she couldn't begin to describe. It wasn't in her nature to be monogamous but the thought of touching anyone else almost turned her stomach. The times she did, when she stopped caring was almost a robotic state for her. The succubus in her could remember taking on lovers but nothing else. No satisfaction, nothing to even think twice about. It was because she needed strength or to not feel at all. Sometimes it was just to not think of Lauren. Moving forward that's what it would always be for Bo. A fae to heal with. Without giving the Morrigan a second glance she silently left the dark fae compound. Vex was still at her side. For the first time ever he remained quiet.

It wasn't until they reached Bo's car that the Mesmer spoke up. "The doc was in love with you." He saw the change in Bo's demeanor at Evony's last statement. Just like he saw it in the blonde when she came to Evony that night so many months ago. The love she felt towards the succubus to use her own powers on herself to save Bo. Lauren knew the decision laid before her and took it without hesitation. She gave up her love to save the woman she loved. It was kind of poetic in its' own Shakespearean way. The pothien and the succubus, both not known to love, yet they profoundly were. "She wanted to save your life succubus. I have never seen Lauren so determined. Here I thought you were just being naughty bumping all your dirty bits for the sexcapades." He couldn't help but try too somber the mood.

The brunette only smiled softly. "Was; will always be the word I hear Vex." She shook it off to the best of her ability. Bo went there on a mission and the mission was accomplished. "Now we need to get ready to fight. That was the agreement Vex. Don't betray me you, see what I did to your old boss, don't let it be you next." If it was one lesson she truly learned it was to not trust the fae, light or dark. In this fight she would need Vex. He proved that his powers were needed to help win. She didn't give him a chance to reply as she jumped in her car as it roared to life.

LAUREN'S LOFT

The pothien glanced over at the sexy fae sleeping next to her. She slipped quietly out of bed grabbing her silk robe as she walked out of her bedroom. The fabric clung to her body as she made her way to the desk where the vials where. Lifting them up carefully as she sat in the chair. For once the blonde was stumped having absolutely no idea what she could use to turn this into the weapon they all needed. With nothing coming to her mind immediately she waited. Normally things would just click into place for her when it came to science. Sighing she got up as she made her way over to her fae medical books. She let her fingers slide over the leather covers feeling the dust rub against her finger tips. She read the titles as she passed each book. Picking up the one on poisons she went into her kitchen to make some coffee. It was going to be a long night therefore caffeine was a necessity. Lauren skimmed through the pages as she grabbed the mug from her k-cup. The black liquid warmed her as she got lost in the words in front of her.

Almost an hour later she was on her third cup of coffee and finished two books on poisonous fae. The pothien slammed the last book shut as frustration was setting in. She made sure not to get loud as she didn't want to wake Kimber. It was easier for her to concentrate, or at least try to, with the hysminain asleep. Lauren put her elbows on her desk as she let her head sink into her hands. Time was against her. Each click of the clock reminded her of how fast their time for battle was approaching. She was glad Lochlan had faith in her because she wasn't so positive at this point. It was the chime on her cell phone that broke her from her thoughts. Before even checking it, she glanced at the time on her computer. It was almost 3am. She reached for her phone worried that one of her friends might be in danger. The last person she thought she'd see a text from was Bo.
