Chapter 3: Courage and Love, Sincerity and Knowledge, Hope and Light

It's been a week since Alvin and Brittany have arrived in the Digital World and became Legendary Warriors. Day after day, they would run into different monsters and day after day, they would end up deeper into the vast jungle. Yet, the two Legendary Warriors were confident they would find everyone else soon enough. Hopefully sooner than later…

"You know, every day, I miss the forest less and less," Alvin complained. I guess even a chipmunk could get bored of his once natural habitat.

"Well, suck it up. If we just keep going straight, we'll eventually find our way out," his slightly annoyed companion stated.

"Wow, Brit! You've gotten really smart since we got here!" his cheekiness got him a death glare.

"It's just common sense. Now let's keep going before it gets dark." Alvin simply put his arms behind his head and followed Brittany's lead. That is, until he thought of something.

"Hold up! You don't know anything about this world. Why are you leading the way?"

"I'm just trying to get us out of the forest you got us deeper into. Once we get out, you reclaim your throne, oh courageous leader."

"You got that right!" apparently her sarcasm didn't reach him. Brittany couldn't help but smile at her dense companion. "With my Spirit of Flame, I'll purify all that stands in my way with my passionate flames!"

"And with my wind, your fire can burn even brighter," they high-fived and continued on towards the exit of the forest.

3 Hours Later

"Brittany…in front of me…I see a bright light. It looks like my time is up…Tell Simon that…I ate his homework…" Alvin was on all fours struggling to raise his arm to the air.

"Alvin, get up. We've reached the exit."

"Sounds like heaven to me," he shot up from the ground only to dash towards the light at the end of the forest. What he saw, he was not expecting. In fact, tears began to well up in his eyes as he dropped to his knees.

"What is it, Alvin?" when she looked up to what was in front of her, to took the same position as the male chipmunk.

"I can't believe it…"

"But it's right in front of us…" the two looked at each other, stood up, and shot both of their fists into the air.

"THE BEACH!" the two left the forest in their dust heading to the azure waters.

Back to the Forest

It's been one week since arriving in the Digital World. For some peculiar reason, Jeanette and I were separated from the rest of the group (not that I'm complaining), given Data Link Digivices, and were partner with Gaomon and Lalamon, Digital Monsters, Digimon for short. The crazy thing is, instead of trying to go home, we chose to stay here and become the Digidestined. I wonder if Alvin and everyone else went through the same thing. That hothead would jump at that opportunity. But when it comes to helping those in need, no one does it better than him. Maybe I should take notes from him…that's a disturbing thought…

"Sir, you've been awfully quiet. Is everything alright?" Gaomon's concern brought his furry partner back to digital reality.

"Huh…oh, yeah I'm fine. I was just thinking."

"About what, Simon?" Jeanette chimed in.

"Alvin and the others. I mean we were fortunate enough to stay together. Also we now have Digimon partners to help us when it gets dangerous. I just hope I can say the same for them."

"Well as long as we keep looking for them, I know they'll turn up safe and sound," she said reassuring him with a bright smile.

"You're right. But you know, I'm getting rather bored of this forest. What do you say we speed up our rate of travel?" he said holding up his Digivice.

"Right with you."

"D.N.A! Charge!"

"Gaomon, Digivolve to…Gaogamon!"

"Lalamon, Digivolve to…Sunflowmon!"

The brainy chipmunks mounted their Champion partners, now speeding towards the exit of the dense forest. Within a matter of minutes, an opening appeared. Gaogamon and Sunflowmon returned to their Rookie levels and walked along side Simon and Jeanette. Upon reaching the light, a familiar reaction occurred.

"I can't believe it…crystal clear waters as far as you can see," Simon said choking himself up.

"Warm sand and a gentle breeze…"

"THE BEACH," the normally calm chipmunks shouted in pure bliss before darting towards the shore. Gaomon and Lalamon gave looks of confusion to their partners.

"Gaomon, you're smart. Are those from the other world normally like this?"

"Lalamon, right now I'm at a loss for words," he said as they both followed the chipmunks' lead.

The weather was perfect. Zero clouds blocked the sky, the waves were gentle, and the sun gave out perfect rays. After a long week of nothing but walking (and fighting), the beach was the ultimate vacation.

"This is paradise," Simon said to himself while floating in the water. Even though he was relaxing, he took the time to visually observe certain aspects of the Digital World. In the forest, it was so dense, not even the sky was able to cut through the foliage. But now he saw strange and wondrous phenomena like floating islands connect by monorails, multiple moons, and most incredibly, the Earth. "I hope Dave isn't too worried about us." Before he could think more about home, something caught his attention on a nearby cliff. The figure certainly looked familiar. "No, it can't be," he said before the figure leaped off the cliff into the water. Simon swiftly took action and swam to where the figure landed.

"Simon, where are you going?" Jeanette asked but he was too focused on his objective to listen. It wasn't long until he reached the spot of impact.

He quickly looked around for the unknown figure, to no avail. That was until he looked to the shore and his eyes were fixed on an unbelievable sight.

"Simon, why'd you leave us? What are you looking at?" Jeanette managed to swim to Simon's location and when she saw the source of his fixation, she became speechless. Two chipmunks, male and female, were fighting on the shore; the pink female seemed to be in control while the red male screamed in pain.

"Alvin…"

"Brittany…" Both of them slowly began to walk over to the quarreling couple.

"Ow, come on, Brittany, get off! Ow!"

"Maybe, next time, you'll decide not to do a cannonball off a cliff and splash me with a tidal wave!"

"You're at a beach. You should expect to get a little wet…OW!" she continued to torment him, that was until she caught a glimpse of the figures coming towards them.

"Jeanette…Simon…" she got off of him and headed towards the walking chipmunks.

"Jeanette? Simon? Where?" Alvin got up to search before catching the eye of his blue brother. "Simon!" In a flash, Alvin sprinted over to greet his lost brother.

Unbeknownst to the taller chipmunks, a massive horde of serpentine Digimon emerged from the waters.

"Jeanette! Simon! Watch out!" Brittany shouted as the two turned in horror at the massive sea dragons.

"Leave it to me!" Alvin stated, D-Tector in hand.

"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" Emerging from Alvin's data cocoon was: Agunimon! "Bring it on Seadramon!"

Seadramon: This serpentine Digimon lacks intelligence and the ability of speech, dominating its foes with its animalistic instincts.

"Don't think you get to have all the fun," Brittany said following his lead.

"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" In the place of Brittany was: Kazemon! The other two nearly lost their glasses over the spectacle that just went down.

"D-D-Did they just become…Digimon?" Simon's voice was mixed with utter confusion and slight terror.

"This world just gets weirder and weirder…"

Back to the Seadramon…

"Feel the power of my Pyro Tornado!" Agunimon engulfed half the sea dragons in a swirling vortex of flames.

"I'll blow you away with my Hurricane Wave!" Kazemon struck the remaining Digimon with thin tornadoes emerging from her fingertips. "Got 'em!"

"All right!" Confident that they beat the dragon Digimon, the Legendary Warriors began to return to the rest of the group. Little did they know, it would take more than that to take down natural digitally-born predators.

"Alvin! Brittany! Behind you!" Simon frantically shouted.

"Hey, it's not Alvin. I'm Agunim-," in the place of Agunimon now was now a frozen Legendary Warrior of Flame. Seadramon were known to spew out breath with a temperature of absolute zero; too bad nothing can cool Alvin's fiery personality. Erupting from the ice block came endless streams of flames into it finally shattered. "Yo, popsicle breath, that was a cheap shot!"

"Our attacks didn't faze them," Kazemon stated in frustration.

"Simon, we have to help them!" Jeanette, finally composed, said.

"Right!"

"Gaomon/Lalamon!" the two Digidestined called out. One cue, the two Digimon took their spots by their chipmunk partners.

"Sir!"

"Let's do this Gaomon!"

"Ready, Jeanette?"

"Ready, Lalamon!"

"D.N.A! Charge!" Data gathered around the chipmunks' hands as they then transferred it to their Digivices.

"Gaomon, Digivolve to…Gaogamon!"

"Lalamon, Digivolve to…Sunflowmon!"

With two more Champion Level Digimon, they now gained the upper hand.

"Spiral Blow!" a powerful gale-force vortex was released from Gaogamon's mouth and blew away several of the Seadramon.

"Sunshine Beam!" Sunflowmon's flower-like head shone white before emitting a beam of pure energy to the sun, scattering the rest across the waters.

"Wow! These guys are better in real-life than in the show!" Alvin said in awe.

"Um, Alvin…I don't think this is real life," Brittany just had to ruin his excitement.

"Didn't I tell you not to concern yourself with details?"

"Gaogamon, Lalamon, you guys were amazing," Simon complimented while petting his partner.

"Hold on, Simon, there's still one floating in the water," Jeanette pointed out. The sole Seadramon looked around to take notice of what happened to his comrades. He let out a vengeful hiss before being surrounded by a cocoon of data. "Don't tell me…"

"Aw nuts…," Alvin (Agunimon) said knowing what's coming from that cocoon.

"Seadramon, Digivolve to…MegaSeadramon!"

MegaSeadramon: Seadramon's Ultimate form. Now with boosted intelligence and an even deadlier Lightning Javelin attack, MegaSeadramon will not rest until it brings down its prey.

"Mega…Seadramon? Alvin, you could've mentioned this before," Kazemon (Brittany) said on the verge of fearful tears.

"Well, it's not like I can bring up this thing in casual conversation," he retorted, "besides, we're the Legendary Warriors. We can take this guy. Kazemon, Gaogamon, Sunflowmon, let's attack this puny lizard together."

"Pyro Punch!"

"Hurricane Wave!"

"Dash Double Claw!"

"Sunshine Beam!"

All the attacks came together and collided with the Ultimate Digimon. The collision caused an explosion, blowing the chipmunks and their partners away. When the smoke cleared, disappointment, and mostly fear, showed on their faces.

"So, is that all the Legendary Warriors and their flunkies can do?" MegaSeadramon taunted.

"We barely even scratched him…" Simon stated on his knees.

"What are we gonna do, Alvin?" Kazemon asked. When she looked over to the other warrior, his fur was on end and was completely speechless. "Alvin?!"

"I see. Well how about I took out the hot one first?" He said as electricity was gathering around his spike in his head. "Lightning Javelin!" Surging through the air was a devastating lightning bolt aimed at Agunimon.

"Alvin!"

"Hand of Fate!" Before the bolt could strike down its target, it was intercepted with a golden beam of energy.

"Celestial Arrow!" Ripping through the air was a pure white sacred arrow; MegaSeadramon barely managed to dodge the assault.

"What is this," he hissed. Everyone turned their heads to the source of the attacks. In the sky were two angel-like beings, one male and one female. The male had six wings and was clothed in pure white garments. In his hands was a golden rod. The female had eight wings and also was adorned in pure white attire. But it wasn't exactly the angels that caught the heroes' attention. It was the figures riding them.

"Hey guys!" greeted the one on the male angel.

"Did you miss us?" said the one on the female.

"Theodore!" shouted brothers Alvin (Agunimon) and Simon.

"Eleanor!" shouted sisters Brittany (Kazemon) and Jeanette. The angels swooped down to finally reunite the group at last.

"Um, Simon, where's Alvin?" he asked searching up and down the shore before Simon pointed to Agunimon.

"Don't ask. I'm sure Alvin will explain once we're done here."

"So I'm guessing that fairy is Brittany," Eleanor pointed out as Jeanette nodded her head in affirmation.

"Aw, isn't this a nice family reunion?" MegaSeadramon interrupted. "Now I can send you all to oblivion together!"

"Hey, you guys. Now that we're all together again, we have to stand up and beat that thing," Alvin said.

"But just a few minutes ago, all of us together couldn't take him down," Brittany replied, "what difference can two more Digimon do?" Alvin simply grinned.

"MegaSeadramon's not the only Ultimate around here," he said turning his head to the female angel, "Angewomon, it's up to you."

"No, young one, it's up to all of us," she replied before confronting MegaSeadramon.

"It's not my style to hit beautiful women like yourself, so how about joining me?" she ignored his words as she spread open her arms, forming a white cross.

"Everyone, lend me your strength!" They all nodded in agreement and aimed for the cross.

"Pyro Punch!"

"Hurricane Wave!"

"Spiral Blow!"

"Sunshine Beam!"

"Hand of Fate!" The attacks gathered in the white cross, massively increasing its size.

"W-What is this?!" MegaSeadramon backed in fear.

"Heaven's Charm!" Angewomon unleashed the white cross, devastating the enemy. Floating in the sea was an unconscious MegaSeadramon with his fractal code exposed. Agunimon flew down to finish the job.

"Time to-" getting his D-Tector ready, he was stopped by a fairy's arm in his face.

"Wait, let me do this one," Kazemon insisted. The Warrior of Flame stepped down. "MegaSeadramon, let your evil be blown away by my purifying breeze. Fractal Code, Digitize!" Using her D-Tector, Kazemon scanned the exposed fractal code until all that remained was a purified DigiEgg.

Everyone was finally reunited and now stronger than ever. However, getting attacked was no coincidence and they knew that. Someone's got some explaining to do and once again, it's Alvin.

There you go! If you have any ideas let me know and I'll incoorperate it (just so long as it fits with the story). See ya next time.
