AN: Sorry I changed a few things from the last chapter, mostly the fact that the Goblet hasn't been set up yet.

Chapter 4 – Champions

They followed the recently realized twins down the dark stairs, through the Halls to the Mess Hall. Their way was lit by stones covered in bright warm blue flames that were following them, each person always seemed to have at least two that would follow them around the institute at all times to light their way.

They were quiet as they walked into the hall eating in silence, Hermione and Tom exchanging glances as Tom got up to go refill her goblet of pumpkin juice Tyler came with her. In a hushed tone she told him what had happened, "They found out they were twins," Tom told him.

"Oh! …Already?" Tyler hissed back turning to glance at them, "Tom that means!" she nodded.

"Change is a coming." She whispered. "I keep forgetting how quickly things progress."

"It'll be different this time."

"I certainly hope so." Tom trailed off as they got back within earshot of the table.

The hall went silent as Headmaster Kent stood up, "Hello students, yes yes, hello! It has been a busy week for us all and I hope you are all settling in quite nicely." He addressed them as Dinner disappeared, and before dessert. "As we have all settled into our classes and living assignments, I do believe it is time to introduce the judges for our Tri-Wizard Tournament this year and the impartial judge who will be choosing our three champions. In light of the last tournaments events, measures have been taken to insure the judge cannot be lead astray again, also Ms Darcer will be drawing the a line to make certain no one under the age of 17 is admitted into the tournament, due to the dangerous nature of the tasks. Those over the age of 16 will be able to enter, to the champion who wins, glory, and riches await them, this is a tournament not for the faint of heart." He let that settle over the hall. "Now to introduce our judges Mr. Jeffer Malvano!" The hall clapped politely, it wasn't anything like the last time the tournament had been held, when Bagman had been introduced, although that had been right after Bagman had been the announcer for the Quidditch World Cup. "And Mrs. Lucille Fontaine, Head of International Affairs here in Norway, the blonde woman walked forward carrying the old chest Harry recognized all to well, her head held high. "Mrs. Fontaine, would you please do the honors?" she nodded cracking the chest open, pulling out the Goblet of Fire blue flames filling the otherwise plain looking cup. Ms. Darcer walked down whispering a series of words her ward lighting up a crackling blue she continued to whisper her enchantment as she drew a line 15 feet around the goblet which was placed in front of the front table then tapped the line and it shot upward like a wall to the ceiling. She then nodded to Headmaster Kent. "Alright! All those who are interested in competing have 24 hours to place a piece of paper in the goblet with their name and the name of their school. The best of luck to all those who enter, and to our champions good luck to the one who is picked for they shall stand alone, an outside help is not allowed in the tournament these champions must face these dangers alone. And with that I give you dessert." he said clapping his hands twice dessert appearing on the tables. The Hall erupting with noise at all tables except the Heads table.

Tyler and Tom walked back to the table now that Kent was done speaking, and sat back down when, it remained awkwardly silent until Tyler spoke, "So Tom a message from Filanto came in earlier today." He avoided the topic of the tournament has it would have only put more pressure on Harry and Draco as they decided whether or not to compete with the possibility of having to compete against one another.

"Really?" Tom asked, Tyler nodded his mouth full. "What did he want?" She asked cracking her knuckles almost as if it was a reaction to this news, her face lit up by a smirk that would have given Draco a run for his money.

"A job of course, I guess a town in Russia are having issues with a dragon settlement and the Russian ministry is having quite a bit of difficulty explaining the destruction and all the people who are getting killed to the Muggles they are worried it'll start another war between the Russians and America who for some reason is getting blamed, I don't know Muggle politics are ridiculously confusing." Tyler explained shrugging.

"How many in the nest?" Tom asked taking a bite of potatoes.

"3-5 he said, which means they aren't sure." Tyler said rolling his eyes.

"What kind of dragon?"

"Ukrainian Ironbelly"

"Russia is a little bit far from their normal stomping grounds." Tom mused. "Did you accept the job?"

"Why do you think I'm telling you." Tyler answered exasperated as he rolled his eyes.

"What are you two on about?" Harry asked.

"They are trained to be badasses," Draco said. "They are part of the Nox Ferio Orbis Terrae"

"We are trained for our class of magic, and we happen to be good at it so we get called when things go awry." Tyler stated flatly. "It takes a lot of training and a high affinity for memorizing and thinking on your feet. They pull you out starting the summer after your first year at school, pair you up at 13 then at 15 you start getting calls."

"Actually all of you would benefit from some amount of training like ours." Tom said "Especially you Harry. It's a lot like being an Auror you just get cooler jobs and get paid better."

Harry nodded slowly not quite sure he understood this new side of the Wizarding world. Til Tom explained it to him as basically being the Wizarding worlds MI6. Harry looked over at Draco he obviously had a question, "If we are Twins and your a Mage does that mean I'm one too?"

Draco shook his head "Not necessarily, normally twins are in the same class but it's not terribly rare that they are different classes."

"We should get tested." Hermione said nudging Harry, he nodded absent-mindedly

"What kind of training?"

"It's dueling focused, but it involves spells that are much more advanced then any you have ever seen, once you start learning the languages spells are written in you can start to craft your own. Tyler is more experienced in weapons and magical creatures, while I have a bit more of a focus on the magic side, spell breaking, weaving and such."

"Well I could have used that last year, it would have saved both of us." Harry said to Draco who was tracing the light scar you could just see poking out above his neckline.

"It's a difficult skill to learn," He said. "Many people try and never get it to work quite right, It's why it's only taught to a few who are well above their years percentile in skill and aptitude."

"Just the other day Tyler was trying to open a tomb in Mexico and ended up with a chicken pizza." Tom explained using Tyler as an example causing the others to laugh.

"Chichen Itza sounds like Chicken Pizza!" Tyler huffed back.

"Either way it sounds like a skill you both should learn and put a lot of effort into, especially when it gives you an advantage over Voldemort." Hermione said as they finished laughing, the twins nodded, silently agreeing with her.

They finished their dinner, before heading upstairs. Tom and Tyler dashed up to their rooms, Tyler stuck his head out the door calling out to the others who had seated themselves on the couch and chairs around the fire, "Want to play a card game?" They nodded as he ducked back into his room.

Tom came out of her room a few seconds after Tyler. Each coming back with a large duffle bag, before heading to the cabinet next to the fire "Tom that's locked, we tried to put our brooms in it the other day, it won't open." Hermione said watching Tom walk over to it.

"It's Tom's it's not supposed to be easy to open, half the time I can't even open it," Tyler said. "But it is how we get supplies for our trips, after we accept they send the supplies to our cabinet, we keep a few things of our own in there brooms, and other everyday things but they ship us the specialty equipment." He explained.

They all sat back and watched Tom close her eyes and trace her finger down the front pattern before resting them on the doors. "Apertus cirrus vestium" she said the language rolling off her tongue fluidly. Her hands glowed a light purple for a moment then a series of clicks were heard from the wardrobe and it swung open. They craned their necks to see what it contained inside were two long wooden staffs, two brooms, a quiver of arrows and a bow, a belt with various knives stuck in it. Tom grabbed the dark brown staff, and the well used broom. Placing them next to her duffle.

Tyler grabbed the other staff, bow, knives and broom. He dropped them over top of his duffle before flopping on to the couch. Tom walked back over yanking up what turned out to be a false bottom. Strapping the thin wire cuffs around her forearm, as each additional cuff was added they interlocked with the ones next to it in line, creating a solid arm piece covered in ancient runes and other markings. She also grabbed three bound journals, and a small gold hourglass on a long gold chain, then set about replacing the fake bottom and closing the wardrobe with another spell they couldn't hear.

She sat down across from Tyler, when she looked up at the rest of them who were watching her. "Yes?" She asked looking at them.

"What is that!?" Hermione asked pointing at her arm piece

"It's one of the trinkets I got at the NFOT academy, it's an ancient piece of magic used for casting spells, and shielding from all kinds of magic, it has other cool powers too, but those are the main ones." Tom answered. "So what are we playing?"

"I was thinking something that will make us get to know each other better." Tyler laughed smacking cards down in the center, draw 10 white cards, one person draws a black reads in then everyone else picks a card in their own hand that fits it and plays it face down person who reads the black card, is the judge and doesn't play a white card. Who ever's white card gets picked as the best match for the black card, wins the black card. At the end whoever has the most black cards wins." Tyler explained.

"First we all need drinks" Tom called, "Accio!" She flicked her wand toward her door, it opened and out came sailing three bottles, Firewhiskey, Red Currant Rum and Spiced Mead, five glasses came sailing out of the kitchen next as the bottle began to pour into glasses.

They all dove for the piles of white cards drawing out 10 laughing at the card. "Tyler be judge first so we know what we're doing." Draco said smirking as Tyler groaned then drew a black card.

Tyler cleared his throat "Ok your first black card, oh this is classic," Tyler laughed, "by the way this game is definitely not supposed to be PG. The first question I must ask you to answer for me tonight is: Why do I hurt all over?" Tyler asked. "Now find a card you think fits and place it down in the center." Tyler waited as each person in turn put in a card, he then shuffled, then flipped over the stack. "Yes you have to read all submissions out loud." He clarified laughing. "And without further ado, Why do I hurt all over, the fiery poops!" Tyler said setting the white card down to his left, "Why do I hurt all over?! Peanut Butter Jelly Time!" Tyler shook his head setting that card to his right before crowing "Why do I hurt all over? Vigilante Justice!" He set it down in the middle. "And finally" Tyler busted up laughing "For the win! Why do I hurt all over? Three dicks at the same time!" He laughed, much to all their surprise Draco leaned over and grabbed the black card smirking.

"Draco! I didn't think you had that in you." Tom laughed, " Who's next?" She asked Tyler pointed next to him at Harry.

"Alright easy enough game to get. Blank. Betcha can't have just one!" Harry read. Everyone shuffled their cards around. Tom's eyes suddenly went wide and she snorted playing a card face down, causing everyone else to laugh at her. As soon as everyone played a card Harry picked them up shuffling them in his hand. "First up, seriously!" Harry cried staring at the car not sure if her should laugh or be offended, he settled on laughing though, the Rum having a nice effect of lightening his mood, "Dead parents, Betcha can't have just one!"

"That's Terrible!" Hermione gasped.

"Yep, but it is true," Harry said still snickering to himself. Tom had grimaced with a smile plastered on her face, Tyler was laughing and Draco looked horrified. "Next up, Bitches Betcha can't have just one. What!?" Harry shook his head tossing the car to the table. "72 virgins, Betcha can have just one!" Harry could barely say the rest of the card he was laughing so hard. "And ugh! No! A Salty Surprise, Betcha can't have just one." He shuddered putting it down with the other card, "and 72 virgins wins." He laughed, Tom reached over the table snatching the black card. "You!? Wait who put in dead parents?" Tom pointed at Draco who raised his hand whistling and looking away.

"You know now would be a perfect time to go put our names in the Goblet, no one else is awake!" Harry said, "Who's in?" The others nodded. Tearing off bit of parchment from the spare piece Hermione had gone to get from her room, They all wrote down their names and school, before sneaking out the portrait hole, toward the Mess Hall.

Hermione, Harry, Draco and Tyler all placed their names in the goblet. "Tyler what about you?" Hermione asked. Tyler shuffled his feet nervously

"Well I would but I don't turn 16 for another 5 months." He said, "and based on that ageline, I don't want to deal with what happens to me if I do cross it our put my name in." He answered eyeing the line Ms Darcer had drawn carefully.

Luckily they all bought it, sneaking up the stairs to the Heads common room again where they resumed their game. Draco pulled a black card as the others redrew the white cards they had tossed in so they still had 10 in their hands. "Alright this has two blanks so first blank on the bottom, second blank on top of it. Lifetime presents Blank, the story of Blank." Draco read. Immediately cards started shuffling around in people's hands, they snickered as they laid their hands down.

"I don't know who half these people are or what half these things are!" Tyler laughed "Rando for the win?" He laughed placing two cards down.

"If 'ou don know there's a good chance I won't either, we arn't like you three who grew up in the Muggle word, since I'm guessing this is a Muggle card game?" Draco asked his words slurring a bit from the Firewhiskey.

"Yes it is," Hermione said, "I've played it a few times with friends from primary school."

"Ever-une in?" Draco asked they all nodded, " 'Ow do I shoffle?" Draco asked staring at the cards.

"Harry put your hand over his eyes," Hermione laughed, laughing harder as Harry's hand whacked Draco in the face, he'd misjudged the distance. "You both are terrible at holding your liquor." she laughed, shuffling the card pairs around on the table. "Ok Draco, go ahead."

"Al'ight! Lifetime presents Ass less chaps, the story of kids with ass cancer! What!? That is terrible, I love it!"

"I'm surprised you know what Assless chaps are." Harry laughed.

"I don't know, but it sounds funny." Draco said seriously, which only made the others laugh. "Next! Lifetime presents a miniature pig in a raincoat and booties the story of Adolf Hitler. Tyler was this you?" Draco asked.

"Damnit how'd you know?" Tyler asked smacking the table.

"Uh it doesn't make sense?" Draco said laughing. "Lifetime presents anal beads the story of ceremonial sebuku. Babe what's sebuku?" Draco asked leaning over to Hermione who whispered the definition in his ear, his eyes going wide. "Oh wow that's awful! Brilliant but awful." Draco said as Tom, Harry and Hermione all started laughing. "And finally, Lifetime presents oxiclean the story of Billy Mays." Tom snorted again at this, and Hermione fell off the couch, by the time both of them got up they smacked Harry in the arm.

"What?!" He asked smirking.

Draco didn't notice he was busy staring at two of the picks, "I'm going to go with Lifetime presents anal beads the story of ceremonial seppuku." Hermione had snatched the black card from the table before he was finished, Draco stared at her stunned, "Hermione! You? What the. But..." Draco trailed off obviously not knowing how to deal with his girlfriend having a such a disturbing sense of humor. He wasn't alone though, the others were also starred at her, she shrugged laughing, at the others shock.

They continued playing til late in the night, when they finally had gotten to drunk to play, When Hermione, Harry and Draco had woken up, Tom and Tyler's stuff was gone from beside the door. When they reached the Mess Hall though both were awake and talking over huge plates of sausage, bacon toast and eggs. "How long have you too been up?" Draco asked putting a hand to his head biting into a piece of toast.

"5-6 hours now?" Tom said looking at the time.

"Why?" Draco asked, yawning.

"We had a job to go do." Tom said shrugging, taking a bite of toast. "Have you looked through those books I handed you?" She asked.

The boys shook their head but Hermione nodded, "Yes but only a bit, I want to know what class I am before I get to deep, so I know what I should be looking at."

"Miss" Tom called as the Grummerlich headmistress walked by, she turned to her head girl. "The Hogwarts Heads haven't been tested for class, do you mind testing them?"

"Of course not, how about tonight just before dinner, we can meet in the regular 7th years classroom."

They spent much of the day in the courtyard, with their books and a water repelling charm cast around them doing their school work with the blue flames around them to keep warm. "Damn it how does Greggs expect us to write an essay on tips and tricks for wandless silent magic, when none of us can do it yet!" Harry ground out staring at a book.

Harry continued to complain until Draco interrupted him, "Tom make him shut up!"

Next thing Harry knew Tom had him by the back of his robes and was pulling him up from the table and walking him out of the courtyard. "What are we doing? Where are we going?" Tom stopped pulling him so they were now facing the lake which had just started to freeze.

"Clear your mind now focus on only the water how it can thicken and bind how it can compress so much that it can hold you if you step on to it. Aquadensus say it in your mind focus on it with all you have let it flow through you, let it fill you up now take that energy and shove it down out of your hands and feet, let it flow into the water. Now step on to the water." Tom said stepping out on to the lake "Focus on it in just the points where you are touching it." She said walking out on the water about 10 feet. Harry sighed clearing his mind trying it, letting the power of the spell fill him up focused on it, letting it be one with him, then pushing it out the soles of his feet, as he stepped forward onto the water willing it to push back against him, he took one step then another, then a third then he lost the focus and the strength to keep the water firm enough to hold his weight and he plunged downward. He was almost to his shoulder when he stopped and started to raise back up out of the water. "Good. Many people can't even get that first step and either slowly fall in or just fall straight in." Tom said he was now standing on top of the water. "The next step is getting past the words, just stepping out while focusing on the water holding you up," Tom said jumping up and down on the water. "Then it can turn into just a thought, and will take very little focus since you've trained your brain to do it, its like learning a new set of skills that you've only been able to do by accident before, and now you're trying to make it second nature." Tom said. "Then more and more things are possible." She said.

"Such as?" Harry asked stepping up to her she slowing rose up toward him til they were nose to nose.

"Depends on how good of an imagination you have." She whispered in his ear, a chill shooting up his spine, he felt himself leaning in. She took a step back, except it wasn't a step at all, the water had risen her up and now was gliding back with it. Harry blinked quickly watching her, as she glided around the water, the water leaping up from the lake to make hoops a staircase, even a diving board, which she leapt off of but she didn't go in the water came up to catch her free falling body swirling around her putting her back on her feet. She walked back to him her hands out in front of her they were shaking as she fought to maintain a steady breathing pattern, he followed her back to the bank. As soon as they were back on land she relaxed obviously fatigued. "It takes practice and a lot more magical energy than many have, but if you can train it, then there are almost no limits to what you can do." Tom said between deep breaths, she slowly straightened up.

"Do you mind sitting here and letting me try a few more times?" Harry asked brushing a few loose strands of hair out of her face. "You don't have to catch me this time." He said his hand lingering on the place behind her ear trailing down.

"Of course not." She said her eyes darkening, with something he would have thought was fear, had she not smiled right after her eyes brightening. He turned back to the lake, and the look he'd seen but couldn't quite place took over her eyes again as she stared at him. She knew exactly what it was, it was the same mix of emotions she'd started to have since He and Draco had found out they were twins, dismay, panic, dread, and longing marring her face. She shoved it down as he stepped up the the water, closing his eyes and visibly relaxing, then taking a few steps forward he kept walking a few more steps, then started to come back ward he made it one step but on the second as he lifted his foot he plunged in sideways. He swam back up his hair soaking wet as he swam back to shore hoisting himself out of the water.

"How was that?" He asked shaking his head, water flying everywhere.

"It looked good, you defiantly lasted long that time." she said. "Now see if you can dry yourself off without your wand as we head back." She said, smiling.

"Can't you do it for me?" he asked leaning over on her getting her robes sopping wet too.

"No. You can do it, if I did it for you you'd never learn." She said covering for the fact that she had drained her own magic too much to even attempt it without words and her wand. Luckily he bought it. She shivered yep defiantly too much magic, between the dragon and the water, she'd over done it.

They sat down again Tom scooting into Tyler's side, he immediately fell her shivering and threw an arm around her, using a warming spell to keep her sustained. He leaned down to her whispering, "You over did it Tom, between the portal earlier today and guessing by Harry's soaked robes, you did some water walking, which as we both know isn't the easiest skill to start with. You've pushed past what you can regulate." He hissed.

She nodded, still shivering, as he pushed a piece of chocolate into her hands from his bag. "Thank you," she took a bite of the chocolate swallowing. "I never know what I have left in me anymore, its been getting harder and harder since my level keeps decreasing." She said Tyler nodded rubbing her side as she leaned into him her breathing evening out as she ate the chocolate. Neither of them looked up to see Harry, who was glaring at Tyler, his shoulders tightening at the sight of them huddled together.

Harry and Hermione walked with Draco, Tom and Tyler to the 7th years classroom, Tom was still leaning on Tyler he was holding her up unbeknownst to the others. Harry wasn't sparing any effort to stop throwing scathing glares at Tyler. Tyler was whispering to Tom, Harry was all but seething by the time they reached the door. Tom stood back up as they got to the door, she walked over to Ms Darcer who was standing out front, and whispered in her ear. She nodded, then turned back to Hermione and Harry. "Harry you first." She said opening the door and walking in, he stepped forward, still glowering at Tyler as he walked past him.

Tom stopped him at the door "Hey you ok?" She asked placing her hand onto his shoulder rubbing her thumb up and down the side of his arm.

He locked eyes with her, his gaze softening, "Yea, I'm fine."

"Ok I'll see you at Dinner. Just relax be yourself, and let her work." she said smiling up at him. His face softened, as he nodded walking through the door. As soon as the door closed Tyler bolted forward catching her under the arms as she started to sway, lowering her to sit against the wall.

"Damnit Tom," Tyler ground out, "Ok lets get you down to dinner so no one sees me carrying you in."

"What is going on?" Hermione asked as Tyler scooped Tom up into his arm.

"Tom's zapped all her magic, between, opening 12 different portals for us and 10 dragons to different countries as well as other spells and then teaching Harry wandless magic, always harder and more draining, with water walking. So now her magic is so out of whack and depleted its taking from her normal bodily functions, which is incredibly dangerous, I've been feeding her some of my magic to keep her from fainting."

"But he can only transfer it to me it a little at a time, it's a safety hazard for him if he doesn't. Its also been 3 months since my last, episode," Tom said directing the last part to Tyler.

"So that's going to happen soon?"

"Normally happens when I'm weakest, its his best time to get through my defenses."

"Wait what are you two on about. The prophecy I'm linked to. Basically my father is taking my magic power to refuel himself, and as he gets stronger I get weaker, magically and it'll continue until I turn 21 when either I live with my full powers or he lives with his full power, but we are linked magically. So will never know the extent of my full power since witches and wizards don't grown into their full power til their 20. And I'll never see it since he's been feeding off it for about 2 years now?" Tom explained.

"What? How have I never heard about this?" Draco asked stunned.

"Its not something that I like to share, its complicated and difficult and really confusing." Tom said grimacing "but as the prophecy goes 'As the young gets weaker the old gets stronger, only one may live in the end, this will be decided on the young's twenty first birthday, if the older is still alive'" She explained then looked to Tyler, her eyes looking older and more somber than they had ever been before. "We should head down to dinner, good luck Hermione." She said as Tyler took off toward the Mess Hall with her in his arms.

Draco and Hermione watched as they retreated down the hall "Wow that was unexpected." Draco said, Hermione nodded stepping in closer to Draco, he glanced down the hall both ways quickly then pulled her into his chest, her head landing just below his chin.

"I'm just now realizing that there is so much about Tom we don't know, we know a lot but it seems like there is so much more that we don't know." Hermione said. "How does Tyler know so much about it, she always says were the family she's chosen, yet he knows things we don't."

"Mione he has to know those things, he's her partner, they've spent time together and have been in situations we can't imagine they need to know one another that well, its for their safety as a team, and from what I've gathered they are one of the most formidable teams NFOT has, and neither of them has reached their full magical maturity yet." Draco said rubbing her back. "As for right now though, you should calm down and relax, Harry is probably almost done.

Sure enough Harry walked out of the room carrying two envelopes, one green, with toms name written on it, and one red which he had already opened. "Your turn 'Mione," He said a dazed look on his face, Hermione walked forward and into the classroom.

The door swung shut behind her. "Ok Harry why are you so dazed did you find out you're just a plain old wizard?" he shook his head. "Then what?"

"High mage 4," he whispered.

"But that's good." Draco said then looked at him again, "wait why aren't you happier, that test is…"

"That wasn't all I found out." Harry said rubbing his scar absentmindedly.

"What else was there?"

"Turns out I have a partial soul residing in me, along with me… I've had it since the night Voldemort tried to kill me.

"What?!" Draco yelled staring at his twin with wide eyes clearly bewildered at the thought

"I'm a Horcrux…" Harry whispered.

"Tom, we have to tell her, she'll know what to do." Draco muttered, grasping his twins arm and leading him to the mess hall, still muttering that Tom would know, she has to she always knows.

They walked in not registering the jitters and excitement in the crowd as they past Harry slid in next to Tom who had her head in her hand while eating. "Tom, Ms Darcer wanted me to give you this, Draco says you'll know what to do." Harry said holding the green envelope out to her.

She took another bite took a breath then looked up taking the envelope which opened on her contact with it. She pulled it out and read it. She put her fork down and rubbed her temple biting her lip. "Well fuck." She said folding up the note sticking it in her pocket. "Dray, did you leave Mi up there?" Tom asked glaring over at him.

"Uhhh. Well, uhm yes?" Tom's eyebrows rose "I should go back shouldn't I." Tom nodded and Draco got up and shuffled out of the Mess Hall.

"I'll have to go look into a few things, but I think there is a way to separate the Horcrux out of your body, but its not going to be easy, creating a Horcrux is difficult, removing them is even harder, especially when its from someone who also has a soul." Tom said "Ahh they return, Draco must not have gotten back upstairs in time." Tom laughed nodding to where Hermione was walking 10 paces in front of Draco clearly not happy with him. "So what'd you get?"

Hermione sat down throwing an elbow into Draco's side "I know I'm sorry, but I promise there is a reason!"

"What reason could you have?!" Hermione sneered.

"I can take that one," Harry said still staring at his empty plate. "Ms Darcer found out that I'm a living Horcrux. I have a fragment of Voldemort's soul in me." He said.

"What!" Hermione practically yelled, Draco clapped his hand over her mouth.

"Yea, Tom's looking into it for me to see if there is a way to get it out,"

"Transfer it is going to be the better option." Tom said loading some chicken on to Harry's plate "You need to eat, sulking and eating nothing won't help." she said he nodded stiffly pushing the food around his plate a bit before taking a bite.

Dinner was a relatively silent affair, Hermione informed them that she was a Sorcerer 2 class witch Harry told those who handed been filled in yet he was a High Mage 4 class, wizard beating out both Tom and Draco in power "That explains why you were so strong at the Water walking spell earlier today." Tom said, "Most people fall in their first, fifty or so times."

As dinner came to a close the whispers started about who would be picked for the champions. Dessert was cleared quickly as everyone was anxious to hear the names from the Goblet. This year it had also seemed that no one under age had attempted to put in their name Ms Darcer's line had been effective in scaring off any potential rule breakers. The hall drew deathly silent the anticipation of the names building as Headmaster Kent got up from his seat, "I do believe that it is time for the goblet to choose the names of our champions." As he said this the flames turned red, a name flew out of the goblet in a lashing tongue of fire. He plucked the name from the fire as it whipped back into its cup. "From Hogwarts! Mr Harry Potter will be competing, again." All those in black robes stood up yelling and cheering. Those with the Slytherin crest stood as well, they however weren't nearly as enthusiastic.

"Well here we go again," Harry sighed rolling his eyes, following Headmaster Kent's instructions and leaving through the far door by the front of the Mess Hall entrance where Mr. Malvano and Mrs. Fontaine stood guarding the door, he shook both their hands then stepped into the side room

As soon as he was out of sight the flames turned red and licked out again looping high in the air before at last coming down to Headmaster Kent's hand, he plucked it from the fiery arm looking at the goblet with confusion, it rarely made such a distinction between champions. "From Grummerlich Academy, Thomasina DeLane!" Tom smirked Tyler high fived her, sending a jolt of magic into her she nodded to him thanking him silently.

She ignored the gasps from Hogwarts and muttering of Durmstrang students "Lets make Harry work for that cup this time," She said with a wink, standing up and walking out of the hall through the same door as Harry.

"Now for our last champion!" Headmaster Kent called, the cup slowly turned red this time as if it was making a final decision between two candiates then the red fire shot up again to Kent's hand. "And for Durmstrang, Draco Black!" He called. Draco got up to the roar of the hall, and walked out of the room hearing Kent saying very good and goodnight. And that the interschool Chess tournament would be being held next weekend, Kent's voice drowned out as the door closed behind him.

He walked over to where Tom was sitting on the couch, next to Harry relaxing into the cushions. "Congrats Draco." She said not opening her eyes.

He slumped down next to them, "So now what?"

"They come in and tell us when the first task is gonna be say good luck, gift us a clue if they feel like it." Harry said he was more relaxed this time, but still nervous, the only person who wasn't showing signs of being nervous was Tom.

The judges swept into the room. "Hello, and welcome, our newest Tri-wizard Champions. Now you shall compete in 3 tasks this year meant to challenge you, your daring, and your ability to think on your feet, your endurance, and your power, your cunning and above all your ability as a witch or wizard to translate what you have learned into the real world. These are some of the most difficult tasks to ever grace the tournament. Our first task will test you're resourcefulness, quickness, reflexes and ability to use your education, all you will be given is a wand. The task will take place on the 4th of November at 12:00." Headmaster Kent said "Mrs Fontaine"

"The winner will get a prize of 1000 Galleons, the weighing of the Wands will take place on October 30th at 16:00 on the Friday before the Halloween celebration." Mrs. Fontaine stated, "Champions you are dismissed. Judges please stay so we can discuss rules." The Champions nodded standing up Draco lead the way out holding the door, as Tom and Harry walked out behind him.

They started toward the Heads common room, "So what do you think the first task will be?" Draco asked.

"Well last time it was getting past a dragon so we can probably count that out, but it'll be tough." Harry said. "That's for sure." Tom was silent walking ahead of them, she stopped at the top of the first stair case Harry was right behind her "What do you think Tom?" he asked She stiffened leaning more heavily on the rail than she was when she went to take another step. Her grip on the rail slackened and her knees buckled underneath her. She was falling, passed out cold.
