Chapter Two

Honey and Chocolate Farms,

1:45 pm

As they made their way to the living room Kunsel looked around with interest at the walls decorated with pictures of all types. Pausing at a picture hanging on the wall just out side the room, he gazed in astonishment. It was a beautiful scene of a meadow, with a waterfall in the background, a mare and foal were drinking from the river that flowed through the meadow. His eyes roved over it in amazement, he couldn't help the breathy "Wow." that passed his lips which caught Zack's attention.

Smiling the brunette walked over to where he was standing and (Cloud stayed where he was, pulling his robe tighter around him. Wishing he wasn't naked underneath. He's still not sure about this guy, and he really feels uncomfortable standing there in nothing but a robe. He wonders if he would be noticed fleeing upstairs to put some clothes on, and he almost did when he realized that the reason he hadn't before was that he didn't want to leave this man alone with his husband. Call him paranoid if you like but that's how it was.) placed his chin on Kunsel's shoulder while saying said "My sweetness painted that."

"He did?" the curly-haired man turned to look at him.

"Yup." Zack replied bobbing his head, his chin digging into Kunsel's shoulder, spiky hair bouncing with the movement.

"Ow!" he said while pushing his freind's head off his shoulder "That hurts you goon." Turning back to the painting he said "It looks so real."

Grinning the brunette playfully punched him in the arm "Oh you big baby. Do you need me to kiss it all better?" he said while wiggling his eyebrows teasingly.

Without answering him Kunsel jumped him and knocked him to the floor, they were soon wrestling at the blonde's feet, who was even more uncomfortable now that there's a chance that Curly as Zack called him could look up his robe. Shifting nervously he said in a uncomfortable voice "Zack!" at the end it came out as squeek as he had to quickly get out the way before he was knocked over. "ZaCK!" He tried again this time louder and still the two rolled around like cats covering themselves in a interesting scent.

Cloud had backed further into the living room and shouted "ZACK!"

That got their attention. Two sets of eyes looked at him.

"Yes love?" The brunette asked while trying to get out from underneath his friend.

Blushing Cloud mumbled "I'm...uh you know and your..." he gestered towards his husband.

Violet-blue eyes widen in understanding and shoving his friend off him, he scrambled up while retying his robe, (which had come undone while they were wrestling) his face heated up some as he pulled Cloud to him. "Ah Kun we'll be right back." with that they escaped up the stairs to put some clothes on. Zack had forgotten they were naked still.

"Right." The Sandy haired man grinned, it had been a long time since he had seen his friend naked, it was a pleasent treat. 'But he's married now.' he reminded himself as he went back to looking at the rest of what was on the wall.

There were lots of pictures, painted and photographed he soon realised that not all were photo's. Pausing in front of one he frowned as the picture made no sense to him, he stared at the picture of two blonde's in confusion. The picture was of Cloud and a little girl.

"What?" He whispered as he leaned closer to the picture, placing a hand on the wall for suport. He narrowed his eyes trying to see if that would help to ascertain what he was seeing. Instead in just gave him a headache. Shaking his head and rubbing his temples he tilted his head some and stared into the eyes of the little girl. 'Does Cloud have a kid?' he thought.

The little girl looked to be about 5 years old and her blonde hair (almost platinum gold in color) was done up in braids. She was wearing a cute sun dress, it was white and had pink, purple and blue flowers on it. "Who and where was the little girl now?" He wondered as he stared at the bright blue-green eyes of the little girl in Cloud's arms.

Frowning he continued on to the next picture then the next and on until he was in the living room fully, looking at the same little girl. Except she's all grown up now. She looked to be about eighteen in this one and with her was a teenaged boy with his arms around her shoulders, they were both dressed up, him in a suit and her in a gorgeous silver dress.

He was so lost in the picture that he didn't hear the two of them aproach, it wasn't until Zack poked him in the back and called out "Hey! Yo Curly, earth to Curly."

"Huh?" Kunsel jumped away from the jabbing finger and rubed his back, blinking at his friend in confusion.

"Whats with the frowny face Kun?"

"Ah..." He gestured with his hands in the direction of the pictures that had the girl in them.

"Oh, that's Cloud's cousin." He replied.

"Oh okay. Where is she now?"

"Collage." Cloud replied.

"Oh! was wondering."

Zack smiled and said "Hey how bout we head into the kitchen to get something to eat. If any one is hungry."

"Hun!" Cloud said.

"Yes love?"

"It's only 2:30."

"It is?"

"Yes Zack it is." Kunsel replied before Cloud could.

"Oh!" He looked sad for a moment.

Shaking his head Cloud said with a small smile tugging on his lips "I supose I could find something for us to snack on."

"YAY!" Zack exclaimed.

Shaking his head Kunsel followed the two into the kitchen.

While Cloud got the snacks ready he and Zack sat at the table and started to catch up.

Kun ask "So Zack?"

"Yeah!"

"How did you two meet?"

"Well." The brunette scratched the back of his neck just like he used to.

"We met at a gorcery store."

"Oh! What happened to the way you dreamed about meeting the one? Oh and how'd you become lucky? When Lu..."

"DON'T SAY HIS NAME!" The violet-blued eyed man growled. Cloud paused in bring over the snacks he had found and made whilst they had been talking.

'Huh?' Cloud looked between them in confusion.

Holding his hands up in a placating manner "Peace man, peace. It's been years."

"I don't care if it's been a pea's width, I don't want to hear that name in my house okay." Zack's whole body was tense with unrepressed anger from years long gone. Brought on by something that had happened years ago, when Zack was dating Luxiere.

Cloud has never seen his husband like this and shifted nervously from foot to foot. Catching the movement out of the corner of his eye Zack took a deep breath and reached out for the blonde. Refraining from recoiling he moved closer to his husband, setting the snacks down. He looked at Zack with worry and a bit of fear in his eyes.

Warm hands touched his face gently and Zack placed his forehead against his love's stomach murmuring soothingly to him to calm him, letting him know its all right and it's not aimed at him.

Kunsel sat there with his head tilted watching the two inter act with each other and wished he had what they had. He kind of had it when him, Zack and Luxiere would fool around with each other. But that was then and this was now.

The atmosphere was slowly becoming normal again and a more cheerful Zack turned to his old friend with almost pleading eyes asking him silently never to bring Him up again.

Nodding his head the curly-haired man whispered "Sure Zack and I'm sorry for that, didn't mean to bring up old hurts."

"It's okay Kun." The brunette replied with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Now what were you wanting to know?"

'Oh boy!' Kunsel thought as he looked into the unique eyes of his friend 'I better not tell him I'm talking to Luxiere…..still.'

"Hey!" Zack snapped his fingers in front of Kunsel's face saying "Earth to Curly."

"Huh?" Hazel eyes looked blankly at him.

Chuckling at his friend he asked again "What did you want to know again?"

Staring at Zack for a few moments more Kunsel gathered his thoughts and repeated his earlier questions "How did you become so lucky? And are you going to elabrate about the grocery store meeting?" He replied slowly and cautiously because this was precariously close to what brought the ice.

"Eh!" Zack shrugged his shoulders and scratched the back of his neck while wrapping his other arm around Cloud's waist. The snacks were forgotten for now.

He looked at his Honey and smiled, just a tilting of the corners of his lips as he gazed into those expressive sapphire blue eyes. Sighing he replied in a quiet voice (unlike how his voice had been moments earlier full of venom) "It was fate that day in the grocery store by the pumpkins. I came across the most beautiful man I've ever seen and got lost in his eyes as soon as he turned his head."

Silence….

Then….

Laughter interrupted out of Kun and he smacked the table with his hand "Pumpkins!" He gasped out "Pumpkins!" Tears were streaming down his face. "You met by Pumpkins? I...oh..." He couldn't get anymore out as he continued to laugh his shoulders shaking. He couldn't believe it, Zack goof ball extraordinaire and one who said that he would meet his true love on a hill-top at sunset, with the wind blowing their hair etc, etc. Met him instead next to the pumpkins in a grocery store. It was too funny.

Zack gave him an incredulous look before replying, his arms wrapped around Cloud tighter and pulled him on to his lap, holding him close and protectively, the blonde snuggled. "Yes pumpkins."

Kunsel, who had almost stopped laughing by that time, burst into a fit of giggles again and fell of the chair, he was now rolling on the floor.

Zack glared at his friend and muttered "dumb ass."

Cloud looked confused 'why was he laughing? It doesn't matter where you meet the person, as long as they're nice….truly nice all they way through and aren't faking it like R….' shaking his head mentally to dislodge that thought so it would fall out of his head (of course luck was never with Cloud and it stayed put).

'Who is this guy?' he thought as he watched the sandy-haired man with a frown on his face.

Zack's eyes narrowed further as he looked at his friend rolling around on the floor like a douche. Zack mumbled *jerk* then said out loud "Curly stop that! It's not funny."

"Yes it is." He gasped while trying to rein in his laughter, but one look at the brunette's face and off he went again.

Shoving his friend with his foot, he felt eyes on him, turning his head he looked at the blond who had the 'him really!' look on his face. Shrugging his shoulders Zack rolled his eyes and pulled Cloud closer. Kissing him sweetly on the his soft lips, murmuring 'I love you' against them.

Kunsel's laughter soon subsided and he watched his friend kiss the blonde, saddness filled his eyes and lonliness filled his heart. He lost his chance the moment Zack had left for parts unknown.

Sandwich shop,

Kalm,

5:40 pm

A tall man in black leather pants, black tight-tee, tall leather boots and a black leather jacket walked into the shop. The belt buckle on his belt was of a dragon head, dragon earrings dangled from the man's ears and a silver chain hung from his neck. A dragon pendant with ruby-red eyes that gleamed in the light , laid on the tight-tee, the sliver a contrast to the black.

Angeal who had come out from the back stopped dead in his tracks when the man walked in, he stared straight into dark eyes and his heart stopped. The man paid no notice to the teenager staring at him and walked over to a table and sat down.

Dark blue eyes mapped his movement as the man practically glided by him. By the time he sat down, Angeal had fled to the back and went to his friend Genesis to tell him about the mysterious man who had entered the little sandwich shop.

Outside in the parking lot was a gorgeous black motorbike, flames flowed out of the dragons mouth which wrapped around the bike and was painted in dark blues and greens, the eyes a dark red color gleamed in the fading light. The bike and the man himself radiated danger.

Back in the shop two heads poked around the corner to look at the man sitting at a table not far from where they stood. Two sets of blue eyes (one pale, one deep) were wide in wonder as they drank in the sight of the gorgeous hunk of flesh sitting just out of reach.
