So hello:] Before reading the story, please, let me tell you something:)

The chapter and the story itself is a lot different than the manga, so i hope you won't be bothered that much, but it's because of the game, that there are things that would never happen in this cute and fluffy manga:D but let's be honest here, it lacks a little violence, doesn't it?x) and there's a lot happening and i was wondering about dividing it into two chapters, but who knows when the next one will be, right?;)

Now, i could go on forever complaining and excusing myself, why i haven't written for so long (around year and a half?), but instead i should just admit that i'm incredibly lazy and actually thank you for reading this:)

And thank you to those who have followed this story since the last chapter (it was so long ago, but i know there was at least one person), i really appreciate it:) and if you are still going to read this story of mine, then let me tell you, you're great for waiting this long and still supporting me- i'm happy to know i'm writing this for someone:) And there was a review to which i shall answer:)

WindSpriteLuxara (previously Timeangel93, i know;))- thank you for the review, nice words and advices, i really appreciate them and try to take something out from them:) there is also something that should interest other readers;) i can't tell you anything about Maju's origins until the important point in the story;P but about Majora being a tip about it... it could be, but i wouldn't say it was a major factor:P though if you still can't tell from the hints in the story (oh no, telling you there are hints you're gonna look for them, and find them quicker than necessary xP), then it will be explained in the next chapter, whenever that chapter gets to be published, that is:D

Disclaimer - same as usual, i guess:)

Without further ado, let's dig in:)

The nice weather outside and the bright sun that shone through the windows weren't foreshadowing the events that were to come this day. The morning seemed like any other, the nature along with the society awoke to go to work, school and do usual daily stuff, boring or not. But somewhere in the shadows, the darkness waited to strike on the unexpected light.

"Zelda, I know, what you might be thinking, but can't we stop going to and from school separately?" asked the blond lad while they were having breakfast. The girl looked at him seriously.

"No. You probably already know, I'm doing it for your own good. If someone were to see us both with... him, they would connect the dots and have your weakness. Only out of precaution, we should keep on like this, in case someone was involved... As least people as possible should know our acquaintance."

"That's right, but it's odd to go individually to the same place. Besides, in someone else's eyes you're just a girl with a kid. Someone could attack you and it's my responsibility to keep you safe."

"I'm happy to hear you saying that, but I can take care of myself" she smiled assuringly, trying to convince him, but saw in his eyes that he had memories, she didn't know.

"On my quest to safe Hyrule from Ganondorf" Link started pensively "I have met Sheik, a skilled warrior from the Sheikah tribe, who helped me throughout the journey. Why I haven't told you about this before, and why I'm telling you now, is because it was you. You have changed your identity to deceive Ganondorf for seven years and gained a lot of abilities. But my point is, it hasn't happened. You don't have the skills you have earned then." when he finished, she stared at him for a long moment, trying to comprehend what he just said.

"That's true, I'm not the skilled warrior you have known" she replied slowly. "or as a princess wasn't taught much combat. However Impa assured to keep me at least trained in the self-defense basics. Well, not only basics, and I'm confident in my training enough to be able to manage on my own. So I don't want you to worry unnecessarily. Also, please take into consideration that if you were to defend us all, it could be too much, and knowing your weakness they would only have advantage on you. That is why, in my opinion, we should let noone know what we have in common. I'm afraid the evil might be lurking anywhere." she put a hand on his shoulder, but he escaped her gaze looking in another direction.

"Alright, if you're sure about this. But if anything happens, don't ever hesistate to inform me."

"Of course" she smiled warmly when he looked back at her. "well, that isn't quite a talk for just before school. We need to hurry now, but there's still something I want to talk with you about."

"Ok. How I want the weekend already."

Feeling Usaida's gaze Inomata turned her eyes away from Ryuuichi, who had been burried under a pile of children, to look at the only child that wasn't joining others in their daily fun. The green kid was reading some book, she couldn't see its title, on his crossed legs.

"Speaking of newcomers" she added to their conversation "the transfer student that appeared in our class is pretty cool. I mean, she can do nearly everything, she's really smart and knowledgeable"

"Wait, transfer student in your class?" came Kashima's surprised and muffled voice. "We also have a transfer, but he's a kinda weird guy. Though girls fancy him and he's also good in classes."

"We heard about transfer student, but didn't know there was going to be two of them" Maria agreed.

"Three in fact." Usaida cut in pointing at Maju. "One day there was a girl with him, saying something about enrolling here, but I kinda haven't registered that" he ended with a yawn.

"That's so weird. I guess they are accomplices then" Inomata said but a sudden thought caused her voice to hush. "What is also weird is that girl has pointed ears like an elf."

"Her too?" Ryuuichi's face popped up from among the children. His voice matched her quiet tone. "That guy has also ears like that" then they looked at the lone child seemingly unaffected by their conversation. His ears were normal in size, but had sharp endings.

"They must be related" Usaida summed it up.

Link only wanted to counsel Zelda about something, but he couldn't find her in her class. At the same time he couldn't help, but to overhear a conversation the girls on the corridor had. They seemed like a mix from a few different classes. Their raised whispers easily reached his enhanced hearing.

"...and the ears. He's just a complete weirdo."

"Not only this. He lacks common sense, like for example, he doesn't know about honorifics to names or what should be first in introducing yourself."

"That's right. Inomata-san, don't you know what kind of race it is?" they accosted a long haired girl, that was going back to her class.

"Race?" she asked confused. The others discretely pointed towards Link.

"Because he can't come from a different planet, aliens don't exist, so maybe there's a race with ears like that, and since you know the most..."

"I don't..." she replied awkwardly, not knowing what to say, but was about to be relieved.

"the Hylian" Their chatting topic walked up to them, making them freeze stupefied. They stared at him speechless, so he decided to finish. "I'm born Hylian, but probably it won't tell you anything." The girls still didn't know how to answer, so only blushed embarrassed. Link on the other hand, didn't know what else to do, so turned around to head back.

"You don't care they spread rumours about you?" Inomata asked resentfully, catching up with him. He stopped, and turned to her with a smile. The girls, that weren't that far away yet, listened carefully.

"I don't mind. Even stones are gossiping. Thank you anyways, I'm heading back." And so he left Maria, along with the others in a silent shock.

"What the... What was that?" Inomata heard one of them breaking the silence.

"What was he talking about? Gossiping stones?" another one spoke and they started arguing vigorously to solve a new mystery. Although now quieter. Inomata sighed and went to her classroom as well, ignoring the girls.

Maju woke up as someone was nudging him. He turned his head to see Taka above him with the rest of the kids behind.

"Wake up, Machuu!" he spoke quietly.

"hm?" was the kid's reply. "What is it?

"Someone wash calling your name!" the dark haired boy said with an elevated tone, both scared and excited.

"who?" Maju asked, getting up and the kids led him towards the window.

"we don'ch know. But it came from dere" he pointed to the pitch and park on the other side. There was noone there, be it a lost student or class during PE. But he could hear it and it indeed was his name but sounded rather like... a hiss or a murmur. There was something out there, it seems. Something inhuman. "we're going to inveshtigate it, but we thought of taking you along..." continued the boy that intented to be the leader, pulling Maju out of his thoughtfulness. He had to stop them.

"It's not a good idea" he tried to persuade them, but it seemed they were already set on it, with eyes shining with excitement.

"We're going, with or withouchyou" Taka crossed his arms and the others followed, only Kotarou seemed as if he needed permission.

"Then let's take Usaida along" Maju tried again, hoping that going with an adult wouldn't be that much of a fun. But instead they run up to the man jumping at him.

"Usa-cha! Wake up! Wake up!" they yelled gleefully while Maju regretted not knowing how to tell them no.

"What is it? An earthquake?" the adult yawned, slowly opening his eyes and trying to dodge some of the attacks.

"We wantchu go outside! The weather ish so nice!" the kids exclaimed in unison while the calmer ones merely nodded. Midori applauded with agreement. Usaida stretched and yawned again.

"Alright. So get yourself dressed" the kids shouted happily once again and ran off to the cubbies. Except for the other four, Kotarou and Maju did everything quietly, while Usaida helped Midori.

Then they were ready to go. Usaida left a notice for Ryouichi, so he could find them if he had spare time now. The pitch was still empty, so the babysitter wondered what made the kids want to go so badly, because there wasn't the baseball club yet. Still were classes, but the lunch break was getting close. The kids led to the other side of the pitch towards the park that looked like a small forest. But before going in, Usaida stopped them actually wondering why would he do it, not knowing it was thanks to feeling deep inside his subconsciousness. Maju suddenly tripped and fell backwards onto Usaida's feet.

He knew it was here. The evil was too close for him not to notice. Besides, he has been hunting monsters since he left the Forest, so of course he knew when one appeared close by. He could only hope, he would make it in time before anyone was endangered. Finally, he spotted a group of kids, with nothing around them yet, thank goddesses. But a look to the other side of the pitch ensured him, that there indeed was something. He quickened his sprint to catch up with them. When he managed so, nothing yet came out from among the trees, but he still growled to their caretaker.

"Get the kids out of here!" his voice under much pressure yet still tried to sound as much convincing and unquestionable as possible. Then he saw a look of horror on each of their faces looking at something behind him and Usaida managed to whisper.

"watch out"

He turned around just in time to see a Dinofos swinging its sword at him.

/.../

A loud metallic clang, that resounded through the air, brought Usaida back to his senses. He couldn't believe what he was seeing as the teenager tried to win against that monster. It looked like a giant mutated lizard with fangs sticking out of its jaw and pieces of armour around its body. It wielded a weapon that looked like a combination of an axe and a sword. It jumped and moved pretty ably. But the youth was no worse. He pulled this weird looking sword out of nowhere- one moment it wasn't in his hand, the next it was. It was dark purple with red sides and green middle. Some black flowers were visible on its surface. He held the sword firmly and skillfully landed the attacks.

But that's right, Usaida shook his head, he had to take the kids and himself out of here. He turned to them and noticed they were sharing his horror. He whispered to them, trying at the same to calm them down and not cause panic. Midori was still safely on his back, but he picked up Maju who seemed to be daydreaming. Seriously, what kind of a kid sleeps in a situation like this?

/.../

Who was the monster after? Him or the kids? He thought intently, trying to lure the Dinofos into a different place, more secluded with noone else for sure. He tried to get away from such an open to people's eyes space, because here witnessing a fight with a monster would surely cause panic. He knew it was all different. Zelda has already said they should differ as least as possible, because this world was ways different from Hyrule. In Hyrule the guards would even help with the fight, but here were no guards. And he was doing something far from 'lying low'. Here someone with a sword was sure to catch a lot of unwanted attention, but first he had to deal with this creature. Speaking of which, it was even stronger than the ones he fought in Termina, from where did it even come? Or maybe he was the one weaker?

He shook his head blocking another attack. He only needed a glance to see if Usaida took them somewhere else. He did. Now, without more disturbances he could finally engage himself fully in the battle. The monster knew some tricks like to attack from one side to immediately attack from the other before he could pull up the guard again. But he could properly dodge them most of the time. Soon they became predictable by him and he could act accordingly. But the one thing actually wondered him, why the creature hasn't breathed out fire yet. He knew Dinofols could to this, whereas Lizalfos couldn't.

The battle continued with him getting more and more weary, while there was no sign of exhaution in his enemy. He had to end this. The monster growled at him as if laughing. But he wouldn't let himself be enraged by such a simple creature. Where was his strength? Finally, when it swinged its weapon forward he decided to act quicker. He jumped to the side left open and hit the creature with his sword. It hissed at him immediately spitting out fire. He jumped back feeling the resultant heat and seeing flames inches from his face. He noticed another forthcoming attack and dodged, crouching quickly and swung his sword horizontally slashing the monster's belly. It squeaked in pain and let out another stream of fire this time reaching his hand. This one sure was tough, Link thought feeling his hand burnt. He backed it quickly to give the creature the final blow, but to his surprise it came back empty. It had to happen now of all times? To think he would temporarily lose feeling in his hand and drop the sword, it seemed absurd. But now he was armless against a much bigger creature with his sword at its feet. The creature tried to laugh at him again, but through the cut on its stomach it was difficult even for it. Then it lunged forward to inflict its final blow with a war cry, but Link dodged only slightly to take control of the enemy's weapon. This time he used his right hand to wrap around the lizard's arm and tear the sword out of its grip. He then turned around bringing the item into Dinofos chest right under the chestplate. It let out an agonizing screech and dissipated into black smoke, then nothing. Its weapon also disappeared from Link's hand. He on the other hand picked up his sword, feeling returning to his arm, and looked around to recall his surrounding.

Not that far away was Usaida with the kids. Not that far either was the school with some windows open. He saw a few faces watching him intently, the fight must have caused quite the commotion. But there wasn't a face he didn't want to see the most. Zelda probably didn't know about this and maybe for the best? She didn't know he was taking the sword, for which the Great Fairy gave him a spell to turn it invisible by some coincidence, to school only from precaution. He put the sword back executing the charm again and took out another item that he always had on himself. The blue Ocarina of Time. Let's see if the Song of Time still works, he thought smirking.

Zelda quickened her pace with the child in her arms. The faster she gets home the better. There were still some things she wanted to discuss with Link. She couldn't blame him, he wanted to be with her as her guardian, but for the time being she also wanted to ensure his safety. She knew the evil was getting closer, it was unevitable, but she wanted to prevent as much as possible...

Just when she was deep in thoughts, she noticed Link standing in front of herself. At first she thought she was seeing things, Link shouldn't be here waiting for her, but then quickly realized something was off about him. Everything. His silhouette emanated darkness, his clothing was either black or deep grey. His face didn't have any clear features, as if it was blurry, but in places where he should have eyes, she could only see two red spots shining clearly. Not even real eyes they were. It wasn't Link. It was the creature he told her once about though. She tightened the grip on the child in her arms, suddenly feeling uneasy as the evil smile made her stop.

"Hello, Princess." the low voice, not resembling Link's in any way, greeted her. This creature... she couldn't recall Link saying it was capable of speaking. But now it was. And even if his voice was completely different, the thought of him actually being Link was now harder to reject. "You don't seem too surprised, I guess your hero already told you about me."

"Yes, and he will defeat you when he sees you." she spoke, hardly finding words. Because of the unusual type of his eyes, completely lacking the distinction between pupils and the whites, she couldn't tell where he was looking. She felt as if the red eyes could see right through her, or even worse that it could see what she was holding in her arms. But thankfully, the child, wrapped in a blanket because of the cool evening, didn't move either sensing the danger or, keeping his breath as quiet and still as possible, subconsciously.

"Doubtly" the darkness answered, smiling viciously. He looked so much like Link, she had to keep telling herself it wasn't him. It was obvious, but she couldn't help it, feeling as if the thoughts were forced on her. She started to wonder how Link felt when he met this creature, because when he was telling her about it, she wasn't imaging it would look so much like him. "But do not worry, we have already sent for him" He grinned, showing his teeth, white but surrounded by blackness.

"You will not get what you want" she started to feel unknown anger. "We will not let you..."

"We?" he cut her off, voice filled with venom. "And who might you be taking about, Princess? You and that soul-dilapidated hero?" Zelda breathed in shock. He knew?

"H-how?" she managed to utter. He smiled in satisfaction.

"It's not difficult to creep in the darkness or intercept the wind's breath, Princess. Let it be a warning for you, the darkness never sleeps. Farewell for now, Princess. May me meet again" and with this he was off. He simply disappeared on her very eyes, leaving Zelda trembling. Every of her anxiety now proven to be true.

Going back from school was now a struggle for him as the earlier fight wore him out much more than he would expect it. He couldn't stop thinking about what was happening. They were attacked openly, at school, so he would never forgive himself if something more serious happened. Or if someone attacked Zelda now as she was left to herself. But she still insisted on going back separately, even if her company would be appreciated.

A few people have seen him, and no excuses would be believeable no matter what he would say. So he did what seemed to him like an only option, he turned back time. It worked differently than in Termina, because he subconsciously chose the moment to which the time would go back and everything around him reverted. Everything, except for him, Zelda or things coming from his world, went back in time with others not noticing it. This process was also tiring in some way, but it was necessary to keep this world in one piece.

Zelda didn't yet know, what has occured, but he was going to tell her everything tonight. If he survived to that time, that is... Because if anything attacked him now, he didn't know how long he could fight back. He didn't have any serious injuries, but the Dinofos wasn't an easy opponent and at the beggining battered him pretty well. He did have a fairy somewhere in the depths of his pouch for emergencies, but how much could she help? Though only one thought was actually lightening his mood a little, that he managed to make it in time to save those kids. Goddesses know, what would happen if he didn't. He only hoped for the situation to not repeat at school. There were too mamy innocent lives.

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks, feeling a strange dread in the air. There was something waiting for him in the darkness, he knew that. He looked around for any sign of people, but there convenietly wasn't any, streets and buildings around got surprisingly quiet. Have they sensed something out of ordinary and avoided this area? He could only wish so, that noone would get in danger that was awaiting here.

The sun got much lower on the sky when the atmosphere densed as he tried to sense from where the threat would come. Then he heard it. The sound of dried bones grating one another. It always made him wince with disgust, and no different was this time. He knew the enemy, as well as the death it brought along with this dead feeling. He grasped the hilt of the Fairy Sword that was ready to fight. Previously a giant puce hand, now more and stronger enemies. The situation was getting worse.

The sound repeated and increased in volume as he turned around to face Stalfos. Two of them... That brought him back to the Forest Temple when he first encountered these skeletons. There was a room with only one, but then another room with two of them. The enchantment on the room depended on how long he defeated them- if he couldn't defeat both quickly, the other one got back to life and the battle started all over again. And that was a painful memory, because at first he didn't know those rules when the first one he defeated, jumped at him, when he wasn't even expecting that, almost killing. Would that be in this case too? However, now he didn't have a shield to block their moves or defend himself. It seemed as he was already on a hiding to nothing. He opted for using Nayru's Love, but that spell exhausted him too much. Speaking of which, now there was no use in making the Fairy Sword invisible anymore. He did so only for safety of others, but there was no need for that now. It always costed him some energy, and he'd rather not waste it unnecessarily before battle. He took out the sword, letting go of the spell that hold it and faced the two monsters. He couldn't let himself show how worn out he already was.

They enclosed on him rather steadily and the battle ensued. He tried to always keep them both in front of himself, if lucky, one behind the other. They exchanged blows and blocks regularly until Link learned their pattern, and it wasn't much different than those ones he met in Hyrule. Attack, block or jump attack, then jump back and block, or jump to the side, attack and block. The only thing left now was to defeat them, easier said than done as there were two of them if one wasn't enough. He managed to get through their guard and give them some decent blows, but seemingly not enough yet. He himself earned already a few cuts.

Be it the exhaustion or something turned his attention but he was too slow to avoid one of the monster's shield bash. He fell backwards to the ground then rolled out of the way, when the other performed the jump attack trying to cut him in half. He got up quickly, but keeping the standing stance was now even harder. He shook his head trying to refresh his mind and senses. Then the two made a synchronized jump attack, counting that one of them will surely get him. But he jumped out of their reach, then back again towards them, before they retreated from the attack and slashed them horizontally hitting both. They managed to back away, but this time he didn't. One of the monsters jumped again at him, and the next things happened at the quickened pace. He had to lift up his arm to parry the monster's sword right before his face, but that left his side open for the second one to exploit and it slashed at him. Link felt indescribable pain, feeling his flesh ripped, and would have let go of the sword if he didn't grip it tightier from the pain. He jumped to the side to escape their reach and catch a breath for now. It seemed that somehow the monster managed to cut between his ribs, just a little below his lungs, what he assumed lucky, because he still could breathe. What he got cut, he would probably acknowledged if he kept on learning biology. But it wasn't the time for this. If he won't end the fight soon, he's going to lose.

He tried with his all might to be more careful now, but still quick. An idea suddenly appeared in his mind when he was thinking about how to damage them the most and probably at the same time. The answer was too obvious, he regretted forgetting it. While they still moved towards him, he ducked between them, before they managed to attack and surfaced on the other side, behind them. He quickly spun around hitting them twice each and even quicker jumped away. They were still standing, but not for long. He repeated this move, before they realized he was doing it again, now between them. Just as he finished the spin, he immediately used Din's Fire to deal the fatal blow. One of them still managed to slightly cut his arm, but then they were gone. Along with all his strength.

At last, the battle has ended with him only wanting to sleep a bit. He sheathed the sword, not even bothering to use the invisibility spell on it. He was so tired, he started to think where should he rest a little. But a sudden sound, unexpected in the surrounding silence teared him out of his thoughts. An irritated huff that didn't seem to sound from very far, made him quickly spin around to search for its source. When he turned, he saw something he wished he didn't, what suddenly made him lose any signs of tiredness, temporarily, freezing him on the spot at the same time. Fierce Deity was standing there, watching him and observing from among the building... or whoever wearing this mask. Even from such a distance he could see his empty white eyes with no pupils. Link didn't know that two seconds have passed when he blinked and the person disappeared from the view leaving him utterly confused. He looked around, hoping he was only seeing things, previous journey making him sensitive to any type of unusuality or disturbance, even the creation of his own imagination. He was tired so of course he imagined that, he tried to argue with himself, but why him? The silhouette was nowhere to be seen anymore, as if to assure him it was only an illusion. He should be used to it already, since taking off the terrifying mask that tried to possesed him, and managed in some way. Making him obsessive, neurotic almost.

Shaking his head again, he threw away the thoughts that shouldn't torment him now. The sudden rush of tiredness got back to him again. He staggered to one of the dark alleys between the buildings and fell to his knees there. He leaned only a little by the nearby can and tried to slow his breath which, he just noticed, was too quick. He just wanted to rest. He was too tired to walk back home, so he would just rest here a little then head back. But he shouldn't be overlooking his wound that due to the, now fading, adrenaline he forgot about and is causing him too much bloodloss. If he gets too lost in his thoughts and won't return to his senses soon, taking care of the injury, it will end him. He still had the time to feel it though, but the weariness was too much for now. And how could he know that, because the danger had disappeared, someone was bound to go by here. And despite his enhanced hearing, he barely heard anything as of now, loud noise ringing in his head.

As they were heading home from Daycare, or actually, Kashima accompanied Kamitani to his home, nothing seemed too wrong. They stayed late because the kids just wouldn't stop playing or making tricks. They were more excited than usually, but couldn't say why, Usaida had no idea either, only that they suddenly wanted to go outside, but nothing else happened. Now Kotarou and Taka were both in their older brothers' arm, tired from their day full of events.

But then, the two older stopped upon hearing an unusual sound. It sounded like someone was breathing through coughs, with hoarse and harsh voice. It definitely didn't sound too healthy, and wasn't that loud but they could hear it in the evening's silence. They stood still trying to identify the direction of the sound. Weirdly enough it was empty around here. And thankfully, their little brothers didn't notice anything yet, almost sleeping in their arms. Ryuuichi nearly walked into the dark alley from which was coming the sound. He felt someone there needed help, but Hayato stopped him. He reacted subconsciously, the moment he noticed glints of red on the ground, thanks to the outside light. This didn't look good.

"We need to take the kids from here" he said in a low voice so they wouldn't hear. The younger teen looked at him questioningly. "Not now. We're still near school. I hope Usaida didn't go anywhere with Midori. Let us go."

"O-ok." agreed his friend and turned to his brother, while they started to head back. "Sorry, we forgot something at school. We have to go back"

"Ok! Can we play with Midoori a little longer?" Taka questioned excitedly. The redheaded boy looked at Kamitani then answered.

"I guess so."

/.../

When they were back, without their brothers, in the place of the weird sound a few minutes after, and after apologizing to Usaida, they finally had the courage to walk into the darkness. Good thing they put the kids back, Kashima thought as the view turned their blood cold. The newest transfer student, their classmate, was sitting in the pool of blood hardly conscious, in school clothes completely destroyed. If earlier he was coughing, now he was barely breathing. He had a large wound on his side and a few other cuts and scratches everywhere. What in the world could happen to him? They looked at each other in terror.

"We have to do something" Ryuuichi whispered worriedly.

"I guess, its already too late" Kamitani answered. Link's breath has been short and quiet, but now it stopped at all. They stood frozen not exactly knowing what to do, or not knowing what was even happening. But then, before they could return to their senses, something glowy and shiny flew out of his clothes and started circling him with pink light. Then it came up to his main wound and it closed. It seemed to be healing him, because after a few moments he opened his eyes and looked at the sparkling orb. As he understood what she had done, he smiled and nodded to her. She accepted his gratitude and disappeared. The two teens tried to shake themselves from quite a shock.

"We still have to take you to the hospital" stuttered the smaller boy. Link looked at them, his tiredness replaced for a moment by a surprise. Then he smiled bitterly.

"Thank you, guys, for you good intention, but I'm more fine, thanks to the fairy, than I would be if going to a hospital. And sorry for showing you something so terrible. Pray, this will work." He said, taking something out of his pockets, or from anywhere. They didn't know what he was talking about or doing, as they saw such an item for the first time and didn't know what it was. Until he lifted it up to his mouth and played a bittersweet tune.

"I'm taking Midori. Thanks guys for taking care of her." said the girl's mother. The two friends found themselves dazed in the Daycare room, watching Midori with her parent leaving. They also took off and closed the club door as Usaida had already left. With brothers in their arms, nothing unexpected happened on their way home.

Zelda was surrounded by grim thoughts. She felt it again. It was the second time. She didn't exactly know what the feeling meant, but she couldn't be wrong. The time was turned. She couldn't believe it. What could have caused him to turn it back? And what his darkness said, didn't make the situation any better. Only to calm herself, she kept glancing at the quiet child. Maybe everything was still fine? But she already assured herself that they wanted to get rid of Link in the first place, so she would be practically harmless, and this world with nothing in its defence, in their mind that is. Because without the hero, nothing would stay in their way. Besides, she still didn't know who those 'they' were. The darkness actually referred to himself and probably someone else in plural. And what was happening was beyond her comprehending for now.

When the handle finally clacked, she got up and went to the door. She covered her open mouth in surprise, but quickly got rid of her hand and hugged him compassioningly. The state he came back in explained everything. Well, almost. He wasn't returning her hug, almost out of all strength, with left so much to only stand. She took him to the kitchen, and when he sat there, started making him some tea.

"What has happened, that you changed back time?" she knew he wasn't eager to answer, but he couldn't keep it from her anymore. And he already started recovering. "I told you, you shouldn't do this, no matter the situation."

"I know, but it was a necessity" he spoke tiredly.

"That doesn't make it, so?" she gave him the cup and sat in front of him.

"Well... There were some monsters, and I thought i could deal with them. But it seems that not practicing or training for too long actually had some effects, I thought i was going to lose. But fortunatelly I managed to beat them. Afterwards someone witnessed when fairy revived me..."

"And what might that mean?" she asked even though she already knew the answer.

"That I have died. But don't worry, now I'm all better, thanks to the fairy."

"I still think it would be better if you haven't changed the time. I have this feeling your situation is worsening because of that."

"And leave them with this type of memory? Noone would want it. And that's probably it, but I think there are more important things than my incurable case." She tried to rebuke him with anger on her face, but then something else came to her mind.

"That's right. There's still something that you won't like" He looked at her expectantly. "On the way back I have met your darkness"

"What? My Shadow?" surprise and anger spoke through him. "Did he do anything to you? And that's why I didn't want us being separated..." he started mumbling to himself annoyed.

"Don't worry, he was only talking. Telling me it was a warning, and that 'they' have send for you. Though I don't know who he was referring to."

"I don't know either" he said sighing and taking his head into hands.

That's it for today, i guess:) tell me if you (not) liked it, please:) also, this page kinda lagged, and it didn't save my last fragment so it's not how it should be, sorry:/

Sorry about the errors in the kids' talk but i really don't know how kids speak x) i know that in the crossover with this manga there should be more of them, but i just don't know how to make them more childish without pictures;) the same with fights, i can't describe them, so tell me if those things were ok, or nah:P (though i know, you won't tell me that something was bad:P) i know, the first fight was short, but i kinda liked it, and i'd love to know what you might think of them:) and the second, hm?

So, that might be the longest chapter, not only 'so far' because it already is the longest so far (it's longer than all the chapters together up 'till now:D), but among the rest of the story i think x) probably the lenght of it depends of the amount of events not descriptions xP

Haha, only third chapter and i have already killed Link:P but he has no more fairies now:] and who loves Gossip Stones, too? Aren't they just fun?:) and while writing this i learned a new idiom, guess which (and i hope i used it well xD)...:)

(i also wondered if i should name this chapter 'Prelude' but this one is used too often i guess, but the one i chose fits too, maybe? well, that was just off-topic:D)

so... i see you later, i guess?:) (i kinda want now to write another story of mine, maybe you'll see it at days?) and thanks yet again, for reading:)
