*(A/N): Hey guys! I know, this chapter came out really fast! But don't expect for it to happen often. Once I started this chapter I just couldn't stop.

Also I say it here because I forgot to last chapter. NO, THERE IS NO LOVING WOLF (Ai x Okami) IN THIS STORY… At least not yet, so just hang in there.

I hope you enjoy!*

They don't know what it was like growing up. I know my friends are trying as hard as they can to understand but they never will, they're only humans after all. They never had to experience the pain and suffering I did, I never asked to be like this!

I've had to hide who I really am for so long… I'm tired of it. I love Yang and how supportive she is, but there's only so much she can do… Then Okami came along…

Okami; a girl who is half human and half wolf faunus. She had been rejected by the village she was raised in when her parentage was revealed and discriminated by humans because of her wolfish traits. Out of all my friends Okami understands me the most. She's been though the same stuff as me and even more. It makes me sick how cruel humans are to the faunus and yet they can't even tell me apart from themselves with my bow on. It's hard for me to admit, but maybe I wasn't meant to be a faunus…

…But what if I wasn't?...

What if I was born as a human and lived a normal life?

Would I be like all the others?

…Would I be willing to accept that?...

From Shadows…

~ Blake ~

She woke up before all the others; she slowly opened her eyes to see it was only 5:30 and sat up in the bed.

She walked over to the bathroom, closed the door, and took a shower. When she was done, she dried her hair and put on her clothes topping it off with a bow. She then opened the door to find one of her room mates standing in the door way.

The girl noticed the bow and instantly frowned. "What's with you and that bow? Seriously, you wear that old thing every day!"

Blake jumped and slightly turned away. "Geez Yang, don't sneak up on me like that! And this ribbon is impor- Yang, stop it!"

Blake interrupted herself due to Yang grabbing one end of the ribbon and pulling it to reveal…nothing… There was nothing under Blake's bow except air and silky black hair. But what did you expect?

Blake was a human after all…

After pulling off the bow, Yang smiled. "See? You look better without the bow!"

Blake glared and quickly snatched the ribbon out of Yang's hand. "This ribbon used to be my mom's favorite before she passed away! It was what she was known for and is the last thing I have from her!"

Yang gulped and stepped back with her arms up in defense. "I'm so sorry, I totally forgot all about that! I won't do it again!"

All of the loud noise woke up the other roommates. The one with long white hair turned over and glared at them. "Can you idiots please keep it down?!"

"Sorry about that Weiss." Blake said as she was retying her bow back on. "It was Yang's fault again."

The blond turned toward Blake with a mock offended look on her face. "What do you mean 'again'?!"

"You do this every morning." Blake said bluntly causing Yang to sweat drop.

The final room mate fell out of her bed (literally) and let out a loud moan.

"…Ruby, are you okay?" Blake asked showing concern for her youngest room mate and friend.

The girl looked up at Blake completely unfazed. "Morning Blake…"

Blake let out a sigh of relief. She could never get bored with these guys around…

Blake left their apartment before the others and way making her way to school. She loved walking through the small city in the morning; it was quiet and peaceful… But this morning was different.

She was walking along the path she normally takes when a small fluffy animal ran from around the corner and right past her. Blake looked to see what the creature was when she was unexcitingly ran into by someone much bigger than her. Blake dropped her bag and two books and felt herself slowly fall towards the ground and braced for impact. She was surprised to find herself stop falling and realized it was because the person who ran into her caught her by her wrist.

"I'm so sorry about that! I didn't know you were there!" Said the person in a panicked tone.

Blake was finally able to look at the person more clearly. This person was taller than Yang (5'8?) and had a pretty broad frame. The person's facial features seemed to be bold and rough like a male but something told Blake this person wasn't. Blake couldn't tell how long the person's hair was due to the hood on their head but could tell it was a golden brownish color. The thing that caught Blake's attention the most though was the person's beautiful and graceful sky blue eyes.

"It's okay, I'm fine." Blake said as the person pulled her back upright. "Are you new around here? I've never seen you before."

The person smiled. "Yeah, I just got here. I'm going to be transferring into the first year of Beacon High."

Now it was Blake's turn to smile. "Really? I go there!"

The stranger's face lit up from hearing that. "Really? That's so awesome!"

"Yep, I'm in class 1-A." Blake said with a chuckle. She bent down to pick up her bag and the books that she dropped but couldn't find them. She looked up to see that the stranger was holding them in the opposite hand they caught Blake with and was offering them to her. "How did you get those so fast?"

"Actually, I caught them when you were starting to fall." The stranger said with a smile while Blake took her books. "My name is Okami… Okami Kiba."

"Blake, Blake Belladonna." Blake said with a smile. "I hope we end up in the same class together."

"Me too!" Okami said with a nod and a smile.

Blake started walking away when a thought occurred to her. "Do you know which way the school is for tomorrow?"

The expression on Okami's face was priceless! Okami looked around and scratched the back of her head with a nervous smile. Finally she stopped and pointed in the direction Blake came from. "This way?"

Blake laughed and showed Okami the correct way to go. The two of them walked to school together talking nonstop. Okami was telling Blake about the place she came from but never really explained why she left. Either way, Blake was enthralled by Okami.

Eventually they made it to the school gates and had to part ways. Okami promised Blake to see her tomorrow and ran back the direction they came. Blake smiled as she watched Okami run off…

…She had just made a new friend…

It was now lunch time and the class room was filled with chatter. Blake was simply reading in peace when a certain blond slid a desk against her's. Blake turned to glare at the person to be face to face with Yang.

"HELLOOOOO~!" Yang said in a cheery tone. "How ya doin' Blakey!"

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that?" Blake said pretending to be annoyed. She looked over towards the door to see Ruby and Weiss step in with their lunches and walk over to them.

"Did you guys hear the news?" Ruby said as soon as she sat down. "There are going to be some new students transferring in tomorrow!"

"I just hope none of them go into my class." Weiss stated as she opened her lunch.

"Why not?" Yang asked opening up a melon bread she bought at the store. "It would be great to have some new faces around to change the pace."

"That is very true…" Weiss said as she took a bite of her food. "Fine, but I certainly don't want to deal with any faunus!"

"Why not?" Blake asked putting a bookmark in her novel and setting it aside. "They can't be that bad."

Weiss looked at Blake with shock. "Blake! Are you siding with those filthy animals!"

Blake put her arms up in defense. "What, no! I was just asking!"

Weiss crossed her arms over her chest. "Well, for starters they aren't normal! People having fangs, ears, or a tail just isn't natural!"

"They never asked to be that way though…"

"Some of them look kind of scary too…" Ruby said in a quiet voice.

"It's not their fault they look that way…"

"I guess most of them do end up stealing food and money." Yang said as she took a bite of her bread.

"Because no one will hire them so they can't pay for food…"

"And to top it off, they are extremely deceptive!" Weiss concluded.

"I highly doubt that…"

Blake rolled her eyes and sighed. "I was only asking, geez. No need to gang up on a defenseless girl like me."

Yang started bursting up laughing. "SINCE WHEN WERE YOU 'DEFENSELESS'?!"

The group of four girls laughed and started talking about random things, but Blake wasn't paying much attention.

She was excited for her friends to meet Okami.

The next morning Blake got up before the others again and got ready for the day, only today she seemed to be a bit more excited.

She got ready as soon as possible and ran out the door and down her usual path. She was getting close to the corner where she met Okami when a good sized animal rushed past her catching her attention.

"Was that a dog or something?"

Blake turned to continue walking when something even bigger crashed into her.

""What is it with this corner and having people run into me?!"

"I'm so sorry!" Said a female voice.

"It's alright, I'm fi-" At this point Blake looked up at the girl and noticed something.

The girl was pretty and all but Blake noticed her hair was white like Weiss', but on top of her head was what looked to be two white dog ears.

The girl helped Blake back on her feet and quickly followed the animal in pursuit. "Sorry! I gotta go! I'm kinda looking for someone!"

Blake watched the girl run off with a confused expression.

"…What the hell just happened?..."

Blake sighed as she sat at her desk quietly. She was hoping to find Okami on her way to school to show her around. She sighed again and opened her book to do some reading before homeroom.

Ten minutes later the bell rang signaling that school had begun. Blake put down her book when her teacher walked into the classroom.

"Quiet down students!" Said professor Port. "We have a new student with us today! Please, come in come in!"

The entire class' attention was focused in the front of the room and Blake was praying that it would be Okami… She got what she wished but was in shock at what she saw…

In the front of the classroom was indeed Okami, however, he didn't look the same. He was wearing black jeans and sky blue shoes that matched the color of his shirt. On top of that he was wearing a dark blue flannel shirt unbuttoned. He wore a huge friendly smile on his face and his ears were perked up… That's right…ears. There was also a big bushy tail swishing back and forth poking out of his shirt.

He bowed and introduced himself. "My name is Okami Kiba, I'm a wolf faunus from outside the cities. I look forward to knowing you all."

He then looked up and noticed Blake and smiled at her.

Yang was sitting next to Blake and noticed the faunus' gesture so she leaned over towards Blake. "Hey, do you know that faunus?"

Blake hesitated, she didn't know what to do…

Finally she gulped and looked Yang right in the eye with her response.

"No…I don't know him at all…"

It was now time for lunch and as usual Blake sat by herself until her friends came to join her. She was reading her book peacefully until she noticed someone standing in front of her.

Blake looked up see Okami smiling down at her. Blake didn't say a word; instead she put her head back down and continued reading.

"Um, Blake?" Okami said in a nervous voice. "Are you okay?"

"No," Blake said in a harsh tone while she slammed her book closed. "I'm not."

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Okami asked politely.

"You've done enough, thank you." Blake said as she stood up and started walking towards the door.

Out of instinct Okami grabbed her wrist. "Blake, wait! I want to help you!"

Blake yanked her wrist out of Okami's grasp and yelled in her face. "JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Blake looked into Okami's eyes and saw they were filled with pain and confusion. Blake turned around and walked out of the room.

The sun was about to set when Blake started heading home. She was in the library studying for an upcoming test. While she was approaching the school gates, Cardin came out of nowhere and started harassing her.

Cardin was the school's bully that loved to pick on Blake for being a "nerd". Blake was out of it though, she didn't even remember the conversation much less what she said to piss him off.

Before she knew it, Cardin pushed her down on the ground and was readying to strike her. Blake raised an arm to defend but heard a SWOOSH and a THUD and looked to see what happened.

Okami had come out of no where and blocked the hit. In return, Okami had kneed Cardin in the stomach and knocked the wind out of him. Cardin then collapsed on the ground and stayed there until he caught his breath. After that he got up and ran off saying "You're gonna pay for this!".

Okami turned towards Blake and offered her a hand which Blake slapped away.

"Why are you suddenly acting cold towards me?" Okami asked slightly annoyed.

"Oh, I don't know! Why didn't you tell me you were a faunus?" Blake said in an angry voice.

Okami's expression turned angry. "That's what this is about?! I thought you already knew!"

"How could I have known?! You kept your hood up and tail hidden the whole time!"

Okami opened her jaw and sure enough there were sharp fangs in his mouth.

"How did I not notice that?"

Blake crossed her arms and turned away. "That doesn't mean anything! You still deceived me!"

"Fine, then did you already know I'm a girl or did I already deceive you on that as well!"

"OKAMI IS AGIRL?!"

Blake glared at Okami in anger and started to walk past her.

"Do you think I chose to be this way?!" Okami yelled after Blake. "I THOUGHT WE BECAME FRIENDS FOR WHO I AM, NOT WHAT I AM!"

"NEVER SPEAK TO ME AGAIN!" Blake shouted back and while she was running back home, she was crying the whole time.

"…I can never be friends with a faunus…"

The next day Okami did just as Blake said, she never uttered a word to anyone. Blake felt a little bad about it, but she also felt she wasn't in the wrong.

The day ended quickly and it was time for Blake to go home. As she was walking along her usually path, she heard odd sounds coming from an ally way. Blake peeked her head in and the sight almost made her throw up.

Cardin and his gang had a person tied up to a fire escape latter and was beating the person with a lead pipe. But that's not what made Blake sick…

The person that was tied up was Okami. Her head was bloody and appeared to have several broken bones. What made it even creepier was that her eyes were glazed over and her chest was barely moving.

Blake closed her eyes and turned away. She gulped and slowly started to walk down the path.

"…She's a faunus…"

THWACK

"…She's and animal, not a human…"

CRUNCH

"…She's a deceiver!..."

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

"…..But she didn't mean too deceive me…"

TAP TAP TAP

"…The others are wrong!..."

THWACK

"She didn't choose to be this way!"

SKREECH

"LEAVE HER ALONE!"

The sudden shout from Blake startled everyone so much that Cardin dropped the pipe, however, it didn't last very long.

"Aw, the nerd came to rescue her pet!" Cardin chuckled.

"LET HER GO CARDIN!" Blake yelled in rage.

"Oh, 'her'? So now it's a person?" Cardin said in mocking manner.

Blake had it, she charged right at him and it was a huge mistake. Cardin's gang grabbed her while Cardin himself was taking his time walking over to her.

Blake was beginning to panic when she heard Okami mutter her name and saw Okami looking at her with her eyes no longer glazed over.

"Okami, you are my friend whether you are human or not!" Blake said with tears forming in her eyes. "It was wrong of me to act the way I did…"

Okami smiled telling Blake she forgave her and soon her chest stopped moving. Blake noticed this and she didn't hold back her sobbing.

"Cut the emotional crap!" Cardin yelled about to strike Blake.

Blake closed her eyes and waited for the pain but what surprised when she found that she had fallen to the ground.

She opened her eyes to see Cardin lying in front of her with the back of his head all bloody. Behind him was Okami perfectly fine with no injuries at all holding the lead pipe in her hand.

"Okami?" Blake asked in bewilderment. "How did you?"

"Come on Blake!" Okami said with a bright smile. "Let's go back, she needs you now more than ever."

"Who needs me?" Blake asked completely confused.

Okami offered Blake her hand and this time Blake accepted it with a smile.

As soon as their hands made contact a strong gust of wind came pulling an unnaturally thick fog with it swallowing the two girls up.

The last thing Blake remembered was hearing Okami's voice.

"I'll catch up to you guys later."

~ Dark Shadows Forest ~

Blake slowly opened her eyes and saw that she was back to reality. Blake sighed in relief but it didn't last long when she felt something tug her hand and was terrified at what she saw.

Lying beside her was Yang still in a deep sleep, but it wasn't how she normally slept. Yang was groaning with her eyes shut tight and her eyebrows furrowed. She was constantly thrashing around and seemed to be crying through her tight eyelids. But what worried Blake the most was the way Yang was muttering Blake's name.

"YANG, PLEASE! GET UP! PLEASE YANG!" Blake yelled trying to wake up her love.

She saw it wasn't working at stopped. She didn't know what to do so she kissed Yang on the forehead and sobbed into her chest.

"…Yang…"

~ ? ? ? ~

"So, three of them have awoken leaving only three more."

She thought as she leaned against the trunk of the tree she was standing in.

"Knowing her, she will be the last one to awake."

She was searching through a quiver looking for a particular arrow.

"…But that doesn't matter…"

She finally found an arrow with purple dust that bind things together and smiled.

"…I'll be there when she wakes up from her nightmare…"

*(A/N): What could Okami possibly mean? What on earth is happening to Yang? And who is this person and what is she planning?
