Day 8; Shoes

(The Bus Stop Boys)

Kenny ran into Kyle's house, not bothering to knock. He was expected anyway, and late. He found his closest friends lying on the floor around a Scrabble board. The boys looked up from their board game to see Kenny beaming over them.

"Wha-"

"Guess who's got new Chuck Taylors! Aren't they spiffy?"

"How'd your poor ass get new shoes?" Eric spit out towards the clean black shoes immediately.

"Cause fuck you, that's how." Kenny spit back, smiling. "Unlike you, I've got a job and a boyfriend willing to spot me a couple bucks."

"Pff, why the fuck would I want a boyfriend? Only fucking straight guy.." Eric mumbled to himself. Kyle sat up from the game board, seeing they wouldn't be continuing their game for a while. Stan followed suit.

"It's cold and rainy Ken, why would you get Chucks?"

"Oh. I dunno, I didn't think about it much. I like 'em. They're my favorite shoes."

"Kewl, you guys! Let's sit and talk about shoes like a bunch of fucking girls."

"Okay." Stan spoke up, watching Eric roll his eyes.

"Seriously you guys?"

"What's your favorite shoe, Cartman?" Kenny laughed out.

"I'm not doing this, faggots." He rose. "You wanna talk about shoes, kewl. I'm going home."

Kenny plopped down in Eric's place and examined the letters that he'd be leaving behind, assuming they'd keep playing once he left. Eric grabbed the snacks he had brought and headed for the door.

"Fatass."

He stopped, not looking back.

"Take an umbrella."

"How very un-Jewish of you, Kahl. Thank you." He called over his shoulder as he borrowed an umbrella and left the house.

"Kay, we doing this? Who's turn is it?"

"It would've been Cartman's." Stan spoke up.

"Cool, my turn then." Kenny grinned and snatched a few letters up from his rack, sliding them onto the board. The boys laughed.

"You believe it?" Kenny beamed. "He could've spelled tits the whole time!"

"For some reason I really want to know what his favorite shoes are."

"Really, Stan?"
