Day 11; Bf/Gf
(Cartman / Lexus)
"Alright, ladies! See you tomorrow!"
Lexus walked out of Twin Peaks to find Eric waiting in the parking lot. A smile broke over her and she made her way to him.
"Hey, cutie." she called from a few feet away. Cartman turned to her with a stern expression.
"Lexus-"
"Uh-oh, I don't think I'm gonna like this." She interrupted, letting a playful tone drip from her words. Mocking aside, she wasn't exactly looking forward to what was about to come. "What's wrong, sweetie?"
He sighed, crossing his arms and looking around the lot.
"Listen. Can we just stop? It's not fun anymore."
His eyes cautiously looked to hers and he found her unfazed, head tilted. She stared at her nails.
"Oh no! Why do you say that, baby? Don't you like spending time with me?"
"It's this that's the problem. At first it was exciting, spending time with a sociopath, but I need more of a connection. More emotion, Lexus. More than just-"
"More than just amazing sex."
He tensed. She took a seat on the asphalt in the parking space they were stood in.
"Yeah, I've heard all this before." She said with her whiny voice. "It sucks, I just don't know how to turn my emotions on. I appreciate your honesty though, you're a real… something."
Cartman took a seat in front of her, unsure where to go from here.
"Lexus-"
"Hey, you don't have to worry about me crying or anything at least. And if you ever want to have fun again, just let me know babe. It's not like we were boyfriend and girlfriend."
This stung. She didn't know how else to word her concerns, bluntness was just her way. She was used to using what she had to get whatever it was she was interested in at the time. But lately, it had been hard being interested in much of anything. Even sex began to feel dull, she felt. And she didn't feel like Cartman was the kind of guy to want to drag things along once he was done. That's fine with her. This was pretty routine, and she wanted him to understand that.
"Hey," he started "You're a real something too. I've never known anyone else like you. If you ever want to talk.."
He hated this. He never would've thought he'd be the one with strong feelings in a relationship. That was the alluring thing about Lexus. She wasn't fake, she was completely herself. It's just that 'herself' wasn't all there. He could relate to that. But lately it was more complicated and draining than he could handle.
"Yeah. Keep me on your 'not completely horrible' list." She joked. "But hey, if I ever crave you I can still call, right cutie?"
"I don't know.."
"Huh." She stood and offered her hand to him. He took it, but helped himself up. Once he was stood, she pulled him into a hug.
"Y'know, I think I'll actually miss you." she spoke. Cartman thought he might have heard a crack in her voice, but when she pulled away her expression was serene. She began walking away. He ran a hand through his hair and looked up to the sky.
"Hey!" he heard her call. Looking to her, he saw her standing with her hands on her sides.
"I love you, cutie!" She yelled, swishing her hips. He let out a tired laugh and turned his back to her after waving her off.
