Hi, so first off Zorua1 was correct about the game Katrina was playing, Mad Father. I picture Katrina as being a bit of a horror fanatic.
To Hiwatarisgurl38, I'm glad that you enjoy these little one shots and I will be making more.
And to my Guest reviewer, the reason I was a bit nervous with the last chapter is partially because I've never had a romantic relationship before, so I'm kind of guessing how couples act. The other reason is because I picture Francis as being risqué, while I myself am a bit prudish. So even writing silly little things like him teasing Katrina about her panties is slightly embarrassing for me, but it seemed like something he would do. I'm really glad that you liked it though.

"I'm not saying it's a stupid idea, Richie." Kathrine sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose, "But when are you ever going to need a Zap Cap to play MP3s?"
"Hey, you never know." the genius replied, grinning, "It might come in handy."
"I highly doubt that."
"What if we run into a bang baby whose only weakness is loud noises?"
"Then I would think that an air horn would be more than sufficient."
"That lacks creativity." he complained, fiddling with the Zap Cap.
"I'd prefer effective over creative."
Richie opened his mouth to retort when his finger slipped and hit the activation button. The Zap Cap flew out of his hand and hit his bedroom light switch, blanketing the room in darkness.
"... I can't see anything." Kathrine said, not daring to move from where she was standing. She had gotten a good look at her boyfriend's room before the lights went out and she knew that he had tools and clothes strewn about. If she moved, there was a very good chance that she'd trip and fall.
"It's because of the curtains. I got them to block out sunlight so I can sleep in whenever I get the chance." Richie explained, "I'll get Backpack to get the lights. Backpack!"
Silence.
"Backpack!"
Still nothing. Kathrine could practically hear the blond's brow furrowing.
"Is he out of batteries?"
"Maybe." he said, standing from his chair, "I'll get the lights. Don't move."
She waited. About ten seconds after he spoke, she heard him say, "woah" before something bumped into her and knocked her to the floor.
"Ow." she said flatly.
"Sorry. Are you okay?" His voice was close, but because of how dark it was she didn't know exactly where he was. She was vaguely aware that there was something above her.
"Yeah, I'm okay."
Suddenly, the door opened and the lights came back on.
"Hey, Foley, have you seen-" Hotstreak froze, taking in the scene before him.
Kathrine was lying on her back on the floor, hair sprawled out around her head and her shirt riding up to expose her belly button. Richie was directly above her, hands firmly planted on either side of her head to hold himself up, his glasses askew.
Hotstreak smirked, leaning against the doorframe as Kathrine's face steadily grew more red with each passing second. "You know Foley, if you're going to do that, you're supposed to put a sock on the door."
"It's not like that, you pervert!" she hissed, blushing to the roots of her hair, "He tripped!"
The pyro laughed, "Yeah, sure. He tripped. I buy that."
"I'm going to kill you, Flame-for-Brains!"
"Normally I'd believe that you'd try, but you look kind of busy at the moment."
"Francis," Katrina's voice sounded from the hallway, startling her older sister, "has Richie seen Kathrine?"
Katrina made it to the doorway, only managing to catch a glimpse of Kathrine and Richie before Francis put a hand over her eyes.
"W-what?" Katrina grabbed at her boyfriend's arm, confused, "Francis, what are you doing?"
"You're not old enough to see this."
"But... We're the same age."
"Yeah, but you're still innocent. Can't go corrupting your precious little mind just yet."
"You son of a bitch!" Kathrine was beyond mortified by this point.
"I can see that you two are busy, so we'll leave you alone now. Have fun!" Hotstreak left, pulling Katrina with him, and shut the door.
Kathrine groaned, glaring at the door. "When I get up, I'm going to kill that asshole!"
"Well, we don't have to get up right now, do we?"
Kathrine turned her eyes back to Richie, only to find that his face was now mere inches from hers. Her mind went blank and her heart began to pound. Richie looked entranced, a faint blush dusting his cheeks. He slowly moved closer to her, giving her ample opportunity to protest. When she didn't, he captured her lips with his own, causing all thoughts of chasing down Hotstreak to flee her mind.
As she wrapped her arms around his neck, Richie hoped that Kathrine never realized that setting off the Zap Cap hadn't really been an accident.
.:Line Break:.
Originally this was going to be a Katrina X Francis chapter, but I had this idea today after looking at a writing prompt list and figured that I should post this one instead because Richie and Kathrine just got together. Let me know what you think.
