Heya~ sorry for disappearing for too long, i am back with updates~ here ya go!

Disclaimers: I do not own any of the characters~

Kai rode his bike back to the apartment, wondering why did he decided to send her back. He wasn't supposed to force her to go ride on the motorbike and more over, she never rode one, not to say she doesn't even know how to use a helmet.

After he turned off and locked his motorbike, he walked to the park where he always slept at. Sitting on the bench, he looked up to see the sky. It's already 7p.m. and he haven't get his dinner. But somehow, he felt he will just buy some fast food to eat later.

He never thought that he will get close to her in such a short time. 'It's only been few weeks.' Kai had himself thinking of it, he didn't get enough sleep because of that too.

Remembering back the first day they met, Maki wore her school uniform, and if not mistaken, the reason they started the school idol thing is to save the school from closing down. She said she wasn't interested in it and thought that they were just wasting their time. But she was stalked by the leader while she's playing her music in the music room.

Her senior said that she can give her support in different ways, so she started to compose song for them. As time goes by, she started to like the members and joined them.

Kai laughed in Maki's face when he said that it's silly to make a group like that just to save the school, and suggested it would be better if they made a Vanguard Club there. It made Maki scold him to say that it's silly and argued that Vanguard is more silly than singing and dancing on stage.

And that is when Kai thought that girly girls hates Cardfights.

"Kai-kun!" A boy appeared to be running towards him.

"Aichi." Kai looked up and smiled at him

"Good Evening, Kai-kun." Aichi gave his brightest smile, like always.

"Good Evening. Why are you here?"

"I was walking to the store to buy ice cream after dinner, but I saw you here, so might as well I greet you." Aichi sat down next to him, after he saw Kai giving him signals to sit down.

"I haven't ate my dinner."

"Eehh?! Why not?"

"I'm lazy."

"It's rare for Kai-kun to laze around, not cooking."

"I'm a human, not a robot that doesn't need rest." Kai purposely elbowed him, earning a giggle from him.

"Kai-kun. How old are you now?"

"19."

"That makes me 18."

"Why had you asked?"

"I made a decision to study here and continue getting stronger."

Kai looked at the boy, Aichi had grown stronger day by day, not to mention who is a well known fighter all over Asia. Kai patted his head, feeling proud of his friend. "Kai-kun?" Aichi looked at him, wondered why had he became so soft.

He smiled softly, "You looked like one of the kid I have taught how to fight in Gaillard's orphanage. He said he wanted to become like you. And somehow Gaillard laughed at the thought that he will help raise your child."

"E-Ehh?! I don't have a child!" Aichi flustered, covering his face with his hands.

"It's just a joke."

"EHHHHH?! KAI-KUN KNOWS HOW TO MAKE JOKES?!"

"Aichi. I did told you I'm different from the one you knew in the past." He gave him a blank stare, feeling awkward.

"I know. And you grew stronger too!"

"Yeah. Thank you Aichi."

"For what?"

"For the changes you brought into my life."

A genuine smile spread across Aichi's face, "You're welcome, Kai-kun." He stood up from the bench and looked up at the sky, "Kai-kun, let's try tag team next time. You and me. Together."

"I'm fine with it." Kai stood up, and walked down the street with Aichi.

"Fast food?"

"Maybe bento."

Kai woke up with stomach ache the next day, "There's something wrong with the food... Ugh." After taking a bath and putting on his red shirt, covered with a bright brown jacket, he prepared a few slices of sandwiches and ate medicines to relieve his stomach ache.

Turning on the television, there's news about this Love Live! Competition that will be held tomorrow. Those who got top 20 in the website's ranking will proceed to the next stage in competing the other 19 teams.

'So this is what Nishikino's been practicing for.' He thought, sipping his light coffee while watching the news. Looking out, the weather seems nice to have practices with, but also looks like will be raining in the evening till the next day.

After he cleaned up the dishes, he wore his boots and closed the door with a click sound, locked.

Maki had noticed that something is wrong with Kotori, but maybe, just maybe her eyes had seen it in the wrong way. Kotori have been trying to talk to Honoka, but Honoka is too busy and didn't realise that her friend needing her attention.

Leaving that behind, the Muse's have received a good news, they are one of the top 20 rank in the Love Live! Competition. It means they need to train harder to maintain their ranking for another two weeks, so that they can participate in the competition.

"Our goal now is to perform during the School Festival. So that we can raise our ranking. Therefore, the practices will be harder than usual." That is what Eli said yesterday morning. And since then, Honoka had undergo a lot of training and to their surprise, Yukiho, Honoka's sister had texted Umi that after their party yesterday night, she went out for a jog, practicing and perfecting her dance steps.

While the team prepare their selves in the Idol Research Club, Honoka had came up with an idea, a new dance step. The rest tried to decline the idea, fear that they won't manage it for the event tomorrow, but Kotori had gave Honoka the word she's waiting for, "I think it's a good idea."

They trained hard on the roof, until it's almost 3 p.m. Nico had complained that she can't feel her legs, and Honoka had told her that they need more training to make the dance perfect. Maki had her eyes set on Honoka, her enthusiasm had taken her too far.

"You should get some rest, Honoka." Umi have been trying to persuade her to get some rest before their last practice later, but the orange haired girl declined.

Looking at Kotori, Umi thought that she would talk to make some sense out of Honoka, but there she is, giving her the same answer like before, "I think it is best for Honoka to do something that she wants." She had those sad looks in her eyes, and this time Maki knew she wasn't wrong. Something is bothering her.

"Everyone should get plenty of rest later since tomorrow is our big day! Let's head home now!" Eli had announced the end of the practice. Maki thought that she should go and ask Kotori about her problems, but Umi and Honoka had her talking in the middle.

"See you tomorrow, everyone!"

"Bye bye, Maki-chan! See you tomorrow~!"

"See ya!"

Kai was walking down the streets, he just finished dueling the other cardfighters at Card Capital and The Underground Cardfight place. 'Aichi had gotten a lot stronger, so does Kamui and Tokura.' He smiled to himself, 'Maybe we should join the Circuit together, as Quadrifoglio.'

As he entered the park, as usual with the intention of getting a nap for a while before he head back to his apartment to cook for dinner, she saw a girl sitting on the bench where he usually lay down. As he got closer, it's Maki. She had fallen asleep while waiting for him.

"Oyy." She didn't budge.

"..." Kai had ended up flicking her forehead.

"OUCH!" Maki shot up, sitting straight and touched her forehead immediately, mumbling some things that are not clear to Kai's ears. "Why did yo-" Then she realised it's Kai who woke her up.

"You will get sick if you sleep here in the cold, especially in the season where Summer will become Autumn." Kai sat next to her, "Why are you here?"

Maki blushed, shooting him some "It's not like I'm waiting for you or something!" But knowing him, it's useless to fight over it. "I-I was thinking to invite you to our school tomorrow."

"For what?"

"Y-You see... Our school will be having a festival tomorrow... So if it's ok, can you spend some time and- uhh..."

"What is it?"

"Watch our performance? I-It's ok if you can't go, and maybe you can ask Sendou-san and Miwa-kun to go there and have fun!"

"I will go."

"W-What?! You will?" Shocked, she stood up from the bench, bringing her hands to her chest, fisting up.

"It's rude to decline, so I will go with the others."

Maki gave her brightest smile at Kai, Kai had his eyes glued on her, "Thank you." He had blood rushing to his face, heart palpitating, as he saw the beautiful girl in front of him.

"I will see you tomorrow then! Thank you, Kai-kun!" Maki left with a blush on her face, running back home, smiling cheerfully.

Kai didn't even managed to stop her from running, he let out the breathe he had been holding. Grasping the neck of his jacket, where his heart is situated, he can feel it still beating hard, had he been a weak person, he might have fainted when he saw Maki smiling at him.

"Had I... Actually taken a liking on her?"
