It was pretty easy to find a tow truck for the T-Car. Anybody would be proud to say that they helped out the Teen Titans and Team Possible all in one go. It was therefore only a short amount of time before the team found themselves back in the main room of Titans Tower.

Raven, being the official healer of the group, sat on the couch with Kim next to her, cleaning off the girl's bloody arm. Kim sucked in her breath.

"Stings?" Raven asked.

"A little," Kim replied.

"Just relax," Raven told her. "I'll make this as painless as possible." She closed her eyes and laid her hand on Kim's injured arm, mumbling her magic words. Her fingertips traced out the locations of all the tiny glass shards that had worked their way inside. Her black energy drew them out and floated them into the garbage, while she let her soul take on most of Kim's physical pain. It hurt, but she was used to this. The wounds were only skin deep. It was nothing compared to the time when Robin broke his arm. Once she was done, Raven wrapped up Kim's arm in a clean bandage. "Done. I've put a little spell on the injured area. The cuts are almost all closed up now, and they should be finished healing within an hour. Don't do anything stupid and keep the bandage on just in case."

"Thanks, Raven," Kim said, smiling as she looked at her arm. "You're the best."

Ron grabbed a seat on the other side of Kim. "You doing okay, KP?" he asked.

"Never been better," she replied. "It feels like it was never even hurt. I'd be worried about your booyah buddy over there," she added, pointing to Cyborg, "He seems pretty distressed."

Starfire noticed this too and approached her half-metal friend. "Friend Cyborg, what troubles you? It is the T-Car?"

"Yeah," he sighed. "I know I can always fix her. Heck, I've rebuilt her from scratch at least three times. But that car is my baby. Someone wrecks my baby, they've got to pay. Looks like Miss Go here escaped to who-knows-where instead of sticking around long enough for me to teach her a thing or two about the T-Car." His hand expanded into a sonic cannon with the threat, then returned to its usual shape again. "Well, I suppose I'd better get back to repairing her. Again."

He walked toward the automatic door. Robin opened it from the other side just before he could leave. "Don't leave just yet, Cy," he said. "I'm calling a team meeting." He strolled up to the couch and produced a shiny new communicator. "Made you a new one, Raven," he said.

"Thanks, Robin," she replied, taking it into her hand.

"And I got you another cloak," Beast Boy said, tossing her an exact replica of the one she had worn earlier. "You know, cause you only have half of one right now."

She took off her torn cloak and began to wrap the new one around her. "Thanks, Beast Boy, that's really…wait…" she stopped talking and looked coldly at the changeling's mischievous smile. "You went in my room?"

"Heh heh," he laughed nervously, trying to redirect the conversation. "You would not believe how many doors there are in this Tower. You know, I just discovered a new one that I have never used before, and I think it's got a portal to another dimension in it. It's like this big white box that's always spinning and there's this little door…"

"That's the laundry room," Raven deadpanned. "You saw the clothes dryer. The fact that you've never been in there before speaks for itself."

"Hey," Beast Boy said, a little offended. "I wear clean clothes. I just usually make a bet with somebody else that I know I'll win, then make them do it for me when it's supposed to be my turn."

"And you just admitted that out loud," she pointed out as everyone in the room made a mental note to avoid making any bets with Beast Boy.

"Laundry aside," Robin said, standing in the front of the room as Cyborg and Starfire found their seats on the couch, "we've got a lot to talk about today. I'm calling this team meeting to order." Ron raised his hand. "Yes, Ron?"

"Um, would now be a good time to ask about a communicator?" the sidekick asked, a little bit self-conscious in everyone else's silence.

"What do you mean?" Robin asked.

"I just mean…well…you guys all have one, and you're a team and it's cool and I get it. You gave Kim one, and it seems pretty important. I'm just saying that I'm on this team too, so is there some reason why I don't have one?"

Robin replied, "Well, we only had one extra when we met you guys…"

"But it seemed pretty easy to make Raven a new one," Ron pointed out. "If you can make one that fast, when do I get mine?"

"Um…" Robin hesitated, not really sure what to say. He had been so busy thinking about Slade and his own team that he hadn't even considered giving Ron a communicator. Usually, sidekicks just shared with the hero to whom the communicator was given, so he hadn't thought about it. He knew that would probably hurt Ron's feelings, so he tried to find the right words to say it nicely. "Well, you see, when we give communicators to honorary Titans," he began to explain, "they usually just…you know…share it with their sidekicks. Since you are Kim's sidekick, I kind of figured that she wouldn't mind sharing…"

"Oh, so this is a no sidekicks allowed club, is it?" Ron asked, sounding a little bit bitter.

"I never said that…"

"Oh no, I understand," Ron continued. Robin wasn't sure if he was being honest or sarcastic. "It's a hero team only. I gotcha. Not like you're a sidekick yourself or anything."

"Actually, I'm not, and we've been over this." Ron was really starting to get on Robin's nerves now.

Ron persisted, "Okay, so if you're not Batman's sidekick, why do you still wear the sidekick suit? What about the Dynamic Duo? Batman and Robin? People hear 'Robin' and they think 'Batman's sidekick'. If you want to be your own hero, fine by me, but you could at least change your costume. Maybe something cool like…like…" he stood up and began walking around Robin, examining his outfit, "…like…I'm thinking all black would look pretty sweet. Maybe some bright blue for contrast. Ooh! I got it! A bright blue bird on a black background! That'd be badical!" He looked at Robin's face and saw that he was getting really tense for some reason. Ron backed off and sat down next to KP again. "That's just one person's opinion. I'm just saying that, you know, if you get a communicator, then this sidekick should too."

"First of all," Robin explained, trying to keep himself under control, "I'm not a sidekick. I'm not affiliated with Batman anymore, and I don't want to be again."

"Why?" Ron asked.

That was the final straw. Robin slammed his fist on the coffee table, making Ron jump in his seat. "Because I'm not him! He might be a hero by most standards, but he isn't who I am or who I want to be, and I am sick and tired of people thinking that we are the same! I haven't spoken to him in three years, and I'm not about to change that! He doesn't need me, and I don't need him!"

Ron had clearly touched on a sensitive subject. He nodded his understanding slowly while cautiously scooting back into the couch another inch. Kim was just as surprised. She hoped Ron would never feel this way about being her sidekick.

After an awkward silence, Cyborg decided to get things back on track. "So…what exactly is this meeting about?"

Robin took a few deep breaths and returned to his normal level of calmness. "We need to talk about what happened today," he said. "We thought Slade might be tracking us, and now we have proof. We also know his objective. He wants to catch us alone, and slowly destroy us one by one. That means we can't separate from each other for any reason. There's something missing, though. Shego is trying to destroy us, and Slade is clearly giving the orders, but we haven't seen any signs of Dr. Drakken since the convention."

Kim spoke up. "Shego told me during the fight that Drakken's off the team. Well, at least he isn't on equal footing with her and Slade. She thinks that Slade's got the potential to take over the world, whereas Drakken was basically a dud as far as evil goes."

"So Shego's more important than Drakken, at least for whatever Slade wants to do," Cyborg summarized. "I can see that. The girl's got a strong punch, and the evil attitude to back it up."

"We don't know much about Shego," Robin told Kim, "but you do." He shared a quick glance with Starfire before continuing, "We need you to tell us everything you can about her. Her powers, her origin, everything. We need all the information we can get."

"Yes, please. Do tell us," Starfire urged.

Kim thought about her arch nemesis's sidekick. Where to start? "I guess I'll start from the beginning then," she said. "You're all superheroes. Do you ever meet up with other superhero teams?"

"I was in the Doom Patrol," Beast Boy answered. "Robin's got some history with the Justice League. We've got an offshoot called Titans East. Plus, we've got friends all over the globe. Like Jericho."

"And Argent," Starfire added.

"And Hotspot," said Robin.

"And Kid Flash," said Raven.

"And Kole and Gnaark," said Cyborg, actually pronouncing Gnaark's name correctly for once.

"Ever heard of Team Go?" Kim asked.

"Team Go…" Beast Boy thought. "Hm…is that an actual team or another cheerleader chant?"

"It's a team," Kim explained. "A team of superheroes, kind of like you guys. We've worked with them once before. They're all siblings. When they were kids, a rainbow meteorite crashed into them and gave them all superpowers, each matching a different color." Starfire's ears picked up something familiar and perked up. Kim kept talking. "Hego was the leader, and he had super strength. Mego could shrink. The Wego twins could duplicate themselves. Shego, well, I think you already know what she could do."

"Wait, friend Kim," Starfire interrupted, too curious to hold back. "Did I hear you correctly when I perceived that Shego and her family were hit by a rainbow meteorite?"

"Yeah," said Kim. "They have no idea where it came from. As far as they know, no other one like it has ever made it to earth."

Starfire stood up and walked around to Robin's side where she could face Kim. "Then it is true! Shego's powers and my own are the same!"

"How's that?" Ron asked, bewildered.

The words rolled off her tongue easier now than before, now that she had gotten the whole story off her chest to Robin. "The only rainbow meteors I have ever seen came from the Vega system, home of my planet. They are mostly found near the planet of Karna, home of the Gordanians. The name they are given in my world is too difficult in English sounds, but a rough translation would be the Karnan Color Stones. A few years before I was taken, the Color Stones were determined to be highly radioactive by the scientists of a nearby planet. Each color corresponded with a different type of radioactivity, and a different reaction during the experimentation process. Friends, I have already spoken to Robin of this, but you too should know it. I did not always have my starbolts."

"What?" Cyborg said, sitting straight up in disbelief.

"You mean that isn't normal Tamaranian stuff?" Beast Boy asked, looking confused. "But Blackfire has them too!"

Kim and Ron, only having known Starfire for two days, were not extremely shocked. Raven was very surprised, and she showed it by putting down her hood and arching an eyebrow.

Star continued, "The strength and the flight are normal Tamaranian powers, Beast Boy, and the bolts of the eyes are a result of Transformation, or the coming of age. The hands are not the same. I was captured with my sister. The two of us were experimented on with radioactive energy." She cringed for a brief moment, then continued. "It was most torturous. The source of the energy came from the Karnan Color Stones, specifically the green stripe. Our bodies absorbed the green energy and allowed it to stay inside of our hands. Blackfire had always had strange coloring for a Tamaranian, so her bolts did not become green in the way mine did. This Team Go of which you speak must have been hit each with a different colored stripe, and Shego received the green one. Her reaction was not exactly identical to my own because the human body is not exactly identical to the Tamaranian body. What is truly strange is how a meteor from Karna managed to arrive on the Earth. Surviving such a distance is so rare, why, it is almost impossible!"

"So it isn't just a coincidence," Robin realized. "You two actually do have the exact same powers!"

"Indeed," Starfire nodded. "I wish to hear more. Please continue, friend Kim." She leaned in close to make sure she understood every word. Before it had been mere suspicion. Now it was confirmed. Another person existed on earth just like her.

"All right, I will," Kim recommenced. "So Hego, Mego, Shego, and Wego made up Team Go. They had a big tower like this one, and they lived in Go City and fought all their own villains. They were major heroes. One day, Shego quit the team."

"Why would she want to do that?" Cy wondered aloud.

Kim shrugged. "Hego told me it was because the more they fought evil, the more Shego started liking evil. Shego told me once that she couldn't stand one more moment around her brothers. Beyond that, I have no idea why she would switch sides. Anyway, she started out as a mercenary stealing thing for bigger villains, until she signed a contract with Dr. Drakken. She's been his sidekick ever since. Now, apparently, she's moved on to Slade."

"So…Shego was once a hero?" Starfire asked.

"Yeah," Ron answered, "but she's come a long way since then. She even tutored another bad guy's son about being evil. Believe me, she's bad."

"Way bad," Kim agreed.

"And now she's Slade's apprentice," Robin said, crossing his arms and glancing out the window at the city he protected. "He's never had an assistant who actually wanted to be evil before. Between the two of them, we could be looking at some serious damage."

"Perhaps she does not know of the danger she is in," Starfire said. Everyone stared at her. Cyborg's metal jaw dropped. "That is, Slade is terrible to his apprentices. Perhaps if she knew how terrible he is, she would leave and even consider helping us."

The suggestion was said so innocently that Kim actually felt bad for Starfire. The alien clearly didn't understand how truly evil Shego was. "Slade sounds pretty horrible," she said, "but so is Shego. Honestly, I'm surprised it took her this long to quit Drakken. She's my most evil foe, and she knows it too. That makes her even worse."

"But if you were to allow her one chance…" Starfire suggested.

Kim shook her head sadly. "Maybe your villains are different from ours, but I know Shego, and I know she wouldn't change at the drop of a hat like that. Besides, she's already had a chance. This guy named Aviarius once kidnapped two of her brothers and stole the powers of the other two. I got her to come with me to save them, and she seemed like she was totally on our side, but at the last second she took all of their powers for herself. Although," Kim said thoughtfully, "it did seem surprisingly easy to knock the staff out of her hand and get everyone's powers back…" She stopped herself quickly and continued, "But she did betray her brothers, and she only agreed to help us in the first place because I said I'd post on the internet that she used to be good. She's that ashamed of it."

Beast Boy stared at Kim. "Dude, that's blackmail!"

"Hey," Kim defended herself, "it was the only way to get her to help. Besides, I knew I wouldn't have to do it. She'd rather save the world than let her evil career go to waste."

Starfire trusted Kim's knowledge of Shego's personality. After all, they'd been fighting for years. Starfire hadn't even had a real conversation with her until today. Still, she felt that connection pulling her toward the villainess. "I understand, friend Kim," Star tried once more, "but I have a sister. She betrayed me once on the ship of our enemies, but I gave her the second chance and rescued her. She abandoned me as payment, but I initiated contact again through transmissions. Believing she was changed, I welcomed her into our home. When she attempted to punish me for her own crimes, I allowed her to be justly punished, but I did not lose all hope of her redemption. I was angry when I discovered that she had escaped from the prison, but only upon her final betrayal of our planet did I decide to end the second chances."

"And for good reason too!" Cyborg blurted out. "Do you mean to tell me that you knew Blackfire was evil all along and just let her waltz right into the Tower?"

Starfire looked at the floor and smiled uneasily. She hadn't exactly planned on telling everyone of her prior knowledge of her sister's deceit. Even Robin had only heard part of the story before. "Well…" she stammered innocently, trying to smooth out whatever wrinkles her revelation may have caused, "…my sister did appear much changed in her transmissions. She seemed…nice. I believed that you would be a more positive influence upon her if you had no opinions formed of her in your heads. She came on her own, really. I never sent the invitation. Then, you were all having such fun with her, and I did not wish to ruin the friendship."

"That's really sweet of you, Starfire," Robin said, trying to avoid hurting her feelings, a skill he had still not completely mastered, "but you were right to give up on Blackfire eventually. She tried to send you to jail, then marry you off to a slug!" Saying the second half of that sentence stung the speaker as much as the listener. "Shego's like Blackfire, Star. She chose the path of evil, and now she chose Slade too. If you give her a second chance, she'll waste it." He put one hand on her shoulder not forcefully, but enough to draw her gaze back to him. "It doesn't matter who she was. She is trying to kill us now."

"Just like Terra did," Raven commented.

Everyone except Ron, who was still in the dark about Slade's last apprentice, stared at Raven in silence, shocked that she had dared utter those words. Starfire rushed to protectively cover Beast Boy's pointed ears with her hands.

"What?" Raven asked, emotionless. "Someone had to say it. We were all thinking it. Either that or you are all a lot denser than I thought. Terra tried to kill us. It's a fact. Get over it."

Starfire removed her hands from Beast Boy's ears. "That is true, friend Raven," she said, beginning to realize the similarities. "Terra attempted to annihilate us on the orders of Slade. She was once a hero, in the same way that Shego was. But before her story ended, she returned to the side of good and sacrificed herself for the city. Blackfire was a bad sister from the beginning, but Terra started and ended as a good friend. Perhaps Shego is the same way. Perhaps deep down there is some amount of goodness left within her. Perhaps she may be reached."

Kim shook her head. "I'm sorry, Starfire. I wish it was that easy. Shego's been a villain a lot longer than your friend Terra was, from what I've heard. I think she's pretty much set in her ways, and her ways are always bad ways."

"You got that right," Ron agreed.

Robin paced back and forth. "Well, now that we've established how evil Shego is, we need a plan. We now know that she and Slade are in Jump City. I say we need to go on the offensive and locate their hideout. Both of his previous lairs were destroyed, but he's had enough time to either find a new one or rebuild an old one."

Kim took out her blue Kimmunicator. "Wade," she said to the computer genius inside, "Slade and Shego are hiding somewhere in Jump City."

"Want me to scan for possible locations?" Wade asked.

"Please and thank you!" Kim replied, turning it off as Wade got to work hacking.

Cyborg stood up and stretched. "Yo," he told his teammates, "if y'all are gonna battle Shego and Slade anytime soon, we'd better do some serious training. I'm going for an extra round of combat practice. Someone's got to show Team Possible how it's done. Besides," he leaned into Ron with a mischievous grin, "we've still got to decide the booyah champion."

"Oh, it is so on!" Ron shouted, jumping out of his seat. He pointed his thumb at his chest and puffed up proudly. "Now you're going to see the Stoppable-san in action. That is, if you can handle it."

Cyborg rolled his eyes and looked at the rest of the team. "That goes for y'all too. I'll meet you on the training course."

He turned on his metal heel and headed out the automatic door. Ron followed him, playfully karate chopping his arm while bragging about his "sick ninja skills". Beast Boy ran clumsily after them. Raven sat still for a few moments, then muttered something about watching Beast Boy fail and flew out.

Kim stood up and remarked to Starfire, "Wow. I have never seen Ron so stoked about working out."

"Stoked?" Starfire repeated, trying to remember if she had ever heard that word. She thought for sure Beast Boy had used it before, but she wasn't sure. "What is the 'stoked'? And why is friend Ron so happy about illness?"

"'Stoked' means excited," Kim explained, "and 'sick' can be slang for really cool. Ron's not talking about actual sickness. He's just trying to sound more interesting."

"Cool like the expression," Starfire connected to a previous explanation, "not like the cold temperature."

"Exactly. You are really catching on."

Kim noticed out of the corner of her eye that Robin showed no signs of leaving the room. In fact, he was hunched over at one of the many computer displays, updating the electronic file in the computer for Slade. They had one for every villain they fought, and Slade had the largest one by far. He changed the location setting from Unknown to Jump City and whispered, "Where are you, Slade?"

He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked back to see that is was Starfire's. She and Kim waited behind him until he saved his work. His face was serious and troubled, which concerned Starfire greatly.

"Robin," she asked her boyfriend, "you intend to join us in the combat practice, yes?"

He shrugged. "You two go ahead. I need to do some more research. Slade is always one step ahead. Maybe I'll join you later."

Kim waved her Kimmunicator at him. "You don't need to do that. Wade's on the case. He could hack anything, anywhere, anytime. He'll probably call any second now with news."

Robin wanted to believe her. Honestly, he would have much preferred combat practice with the team to more research. However, there was always that feeling inside of him that only he could understand the madman, and only he could stop him. Surely it was his fault that Slade had come so far. It was his responsibility to bring him to justice, and he knew he couldn't rest until he had uncovered something, anything.

"I trust Wade," Robin told Kim, "but I've fought Slade before many times. I know more about him than you, Ron, or Wade, even if I don't know nearly enough. If he hurts anyone on this team, I'm responsible. I have to do this. It's my job."

Kim put away the little blue device, unsure of what to make of Robin's statement. It was almost like there was something between him and Slade, some kind of obsession. That's crazy, she told herself. He's just being a leader. Don't worry about it until he starts acting creepy.

Starfire, on the other hand, knew that now was the time to worry. Robin's motives were benevolent, but this was always how his most dangerously obsessive moments began. She knew she couldn't coax him to leave now. If only she could keep him from staying in Slade mode for too long. She looked him in the eyes, almost seeming to stare straight through his mask. "Be certain to only remain for a short time," she warned him. "You too must train for battle."

He hesitated and looked at Slade's file picture on the screen, then back at Star's face. "I promise I won't stay in for too long," he told her, holding up his right hand.

"Glorious!" Starfire said, her smile radiating like the sun itself. She grabbed Kim's hand and zoomed out of the room. Robin lingered a moment, then stepped out into the hallway. He walked through to a familiar door, and opened it up to an eerily dark room decorated with masks and evidence.

(A/N: So, being only vaguely familiar with the planets surrounding Tamaran, I did the best I could with information I gathered from the internet to connect Shego's and Starfire's back story. I really hope it didn't turn out too contrived. This was the point I mentioned when Star's comics origins would become important, and she isn't done with Shego yet. Also, Ron was right: Nightwing's costume is completely badical.)
