After Reid left with D's things, Derek tried to calm his mother down. She was distraught that Penelope was upset. His sister were pissed at Savanah and so was Derek. He was so mad that he stayed with his family at the hotel instead of going home. Savanah called him numerous time and threatened to go back to the hotel. Derek told her not to so show because his mother was mad. So she didn't come.

In the morning Derek helped Fran and his sisters get there things ready to go back home. The mood was somber, they knew Penelope was upset. He took them to lunch and then headed to the airport. They checked their bags in, sat and waited for their flight to be called. Derek sat with his arm around his mother and his sisters sat on the other side of him. They were lost in their own thoughts they didn't hear the click of heels.

"Someone came to say goodbye to grandma and his aunties."

All four Morgan's turned their heads and found Penelope standing there with D in her arms with Reid right behind her. Fran stood up and went toward Pen.

"I'm so sorry Pen."

"No mom, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken D without an explanation. I was upset and I overreacted."

"No Pen you didn't. You had every right to get mad." Des said.

"I didn't want you to leave thinking I was mad at you. I think D wants some love from his grandma."

Pen handed the D to Fran who cradled him to her chest. She kissed and whispered sweet loving words to him. D who was wide awake just looked at her and squirmed. Des got her turn and then Sarah asked for hers. He landed back into Fran's arms right before their flight was called. There were many hugs and kisses.

"I'll skype you so she can see him."

"You better I don't want to miss out on anything. I'll be back in a couple of weeks, I don't think I can go too long without holding him."

"You're welcome at our home anytime you want to visit." Reid said.

"Thank you Dr. Reid and thank you for everything you have done for my daughter and grandson."

"No thanks are needed."

Fran went up to Pen and pulled her into a hug. "Remember I'm always here for you no matter what. I always will be. I love you. Don't ever forget that. Take care of my grandson."

"I will." Pen sniffled. "I love you too."

"Thank you for the pictures, I love it."

Reid, Penelope, and Derek waited until they disappeared to board the plane before they turned to go. Pen gave D to hold while they walked to the car. Derek put the baby in the car seat.

"I'm really sorry for yesterday. I didn't expect her to show up." she blinked at him. "Thank you for bringing D so mom could see before she left."

"I knew she would think I was mad at her and I'm not."

"No. you're mad at me."

"Yes and no. I don't really want to talk about it. Are you coming by later to spend time with him?"

"No. I need to talk to my wife." He said. "I'll be there tomorrow after work."

"Ok."

Derek waited for them to leave before he left. He had a wife to talk to and he was setting down rules.

Derek found Savanah in the bedroom when he got home. She glared at him.

"So now you decide to come home."

"We need to talk." At her at look he continued. "You need to understand that I have a son with Penelope. I don't care if you like it or not. Neither one of us planned for her to get pregnant that night. It happened you need to get over it."

"How do you know she didn't plan it?"

"Pen isn't like that." He said. "You need to stay away from them. Reid is going to file a restraining order against you and I won't be able to stop him. Penelope is afraid for D. You need to stop confronting her when you see her. She's the mother of my son and she'll always be a part of my life. I'm not going to lose my visitation rights because of you. Call my son a bastard or anything remotely to that, we will be having problems."

"How would you like if I had a baby with someone else?"

"For one, I wouldn't have married you. You knew about Penelope being pregnant before we got married. You could have called off the wedding but you didn't."

"I wasn't about to let you humiliate me. Why did you sleep with her?"

"I don't know. It just happened. I went to talk to her and one thing led to another."

"Now I'm the one that has to see your son that you had with another woman. He is the constant reminder that you cheated on me."

"It isn't his fault."

"No, it's that bitches fault." She yelled. "She knew you had a girlfriend but that didn't stop her. Why? Because she had always wanted you. That's why I told her to stay away from you. That is why I told you to stay away from her. Were you drunk?"

"I was sober that night. I was the one that kissed her first. I started it."

"She didn't stop you did she?" she said. "We were happy until you found out she was pregnant. I was the one the made you happy. You talked about having babies with me and now you don't. Why is that?"

"You were the one that said you wanted to wait at least two years before we have a baby. That was all you. I have enough on my mind and I don't think we're ready to have a baby. Hell you don't even let me touch you, only when you want to. Wait." He said as if a light bulb went off in his head. "That's why you only let me touch you when you want. You're trying to get pregnant."

"I want a baby."

"No. you want a baby so I can forget about D." he said. "Not ever going to happen."

"Our baby will be created out love not some one night stand."

He looked at her for a minute. "How do you know he wasn't created out of love?"

He picked up his jacket and went back out the door. Savanah stood staring at the door her husband just walked through, stunned.

Reid was sitting in the couch reading a book when Penelope came and sat next to him. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and she laid her head on his chest.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't like confrontation you know that but this situation is getting to me. Sometimes I think it would have been better Derek not knowing and I could have went to Paris and lived there."

"Do you think you made a mistake when I convinced you to stay?"

"No, you were right. I couldn't have kept D from Fran or Derek. But he's always going to be stuck in the middle. What happens when he's older and Savanah starts talking bad about me? I don't want him hurt and I know she will hurt him."

"Derek won't let that happen."

"You know as well as I do you can't control another person." She said. "Savanah has always hated me. She always felt my relationship with Derek threatened hers with him. I wouldn't have come between them. I loved him but I wanted him happy, even if it wasn't with me."

"Do you still love him?"

"Yes but not the way you think." She said. "I'll always love him but I'm not in love with him. He shattered that when he treated me like a cheap whore that morning. In all the years of knowing Derek, I never thought he would treat me that way. I know I shouldn't have slept with him that night but I wasn't thinking. He came to see me, which wasn't what I expected since he hadn't talked to me in months. He asked to come in and I let him. He said he was sorry for everything. He never brought up Savanah and I didn't ask. We talked about an hour and he got up to leave. He leaned in and I thought he was going to kiss my cheek when he kiss me on the lips. One kiss lead to another and then another. Next thing I knew we were in bed. We used condoms and I was on the pill. Well the next morning, he was another person. Someone cold."

"Maybe he was confused with his feelings."

"Maybe but it doesn't matter anymore. He pushed me away altogether and married Savanah."

"What if he's not happy?"

"Then that is his problem. Derek had years to feel the same way I do and he never did." She said. "Spence what do you want?"

"You."

"I know that but I mean for the future."

"I want us to be a family. I know Derek is D's father and I wouldn't try to take his place. I would like to help you raise him. I want to get married when you're ready and then maybe have more kids."

"I'd like that but I'm not ready for that right now."

"I know. I'll wait."

"I want you to know that I love you. It may have taken a while to get there but I do. I don't know what I would have done without you by my side all these months. You didn't have to be here for me."

"I love you and there was no other place I would rather be. I just never imagine I would get a chance with you."

"You should have told me how you felt about me."

"It wouldn't have mattered then all you saw was Derek."

"I'm sorry."

"It's ok. You're here now with me, that's all that matters."

Spence leaned in and touched his lips to hers. He deepened the kiss when she opened her mouth. Penelope moaned when his tongue traced the inside of her mouth. They broke apart when D's cries sounded over the monitor. Pen laughed.

"I'll go get him."

She sat back on the couch and waited for the two men in her life to come to her. She let out a sigh when she remember this was going to be a tough wee. She had to meet Derek at her lawyer's office to talk about visitation rights. She smiled when Reid handed her the baby.

"Hey little man. Are you hungry?"

She undid her top and as soon as D was near her breast he started rooting taking no time to latch on and start sucking. Pen caressed D's face as he stared up at her while he ate.

Pen sat in the lawyer's office across from Derek. He hadn't brought Savanah which was a relief for Pen. Reid had stayed at home with D.

"We hear to come up with a visitation agreement, Mr. Morgan. Here is a list of conditions that Ms. Garcia is asking for. Please read them over."

Mr. Carlson slid the paper to Derek. He read it and looked at Pen.

"What is this?" he said. "I can't take my son overnight or on the weekends."

"Derek, D is only a month old. He's too little to be away from me."

"I understand that but you want me to wait until he's two."

"Please understand. I'm not doing this to hurt you."

"How am I supposed to spend any time with my son when I can't take him to my home?"

"I don't want him anywhere near Savanah. She has said on more than one occasion he never should have been born. I know your wife hates me especially now that we have him. I'm scared for his safety."

"She's my wife. She would never hurt him."

"Do you know that? Are you willing to take that risk because I'm not. Every time she sees me she has attacked me. She has threatened to tell you to go for full custody because she is his mother. I had to talk Spence out of getting a restraining order on her. The next time she attacks me, I won't be able to stop him."

"I want to be able to have my son with me at night. It should be me getting up with him at night, not Reid."

"Well that's not possible." She said. "Look Derek, I don't want your wife around my son. I don't trust her. When D is old enough to talk then I'll change it. Unless you can control your wife this is the way it has to be. I'm giving you unlimited access to your son. I don't want him stuck in the middle. He didn't ask for any of this. I don't want to go to court."

"I don't either but I'm limited on what I can do with my son."

"I'm sorry. I wish it didn't have to be like this."

Derek stared at Penelope and knew this wasn't her fault. Savanah had caused all this. He had no choice. He didn't want to be involved in a custody battle with Pen. He couldn't do that to her.

"Ok I will agree to everything you want. But I have just one condition. When my mother comes to visit I want D to stay with her while she is here."

"If she's here for a week, I'm not letting him go for that long."

"I know. I just want a couple of days with him alone."

"Ok I'll agree to that as long as Savanah is not around him. If I find out she is then the deal is off."

"I'll have the papers drawn up and call you both back when they're ready. You read over them and make sure you both agree and sign."

"Ok." They both said.

They left and Pen went to Spence's SUV and before she got in she turned to Derek.

"Spence and I are having a BBQ Saturday and he has invited the team. I owe them an explanation and seeing as Spence and you work together then I thinks its best they know why I left. You are more than welcome to come. You are a part of the team and D's father."

"I'll be there. What time?"

"The team is coming at two. You can show up whenever you want."

"Thanks."

Derek waited for Pen to drive away before he got in his truck. He turned the truck on and pulled out his phone.

"Mom, we need to talk."
