Derek sat in the sofa stunned at the news he just received. Pen was equally stunned. Aaron had just told them what they found out at the clinic.

"I knew that baby wasn't mine but I had no idea she was that desperate to use a sperm donor."

"She knew she would lose you when your son was born and that is a trick as old as time." Emily said.

"I knew she was crazy but this is a whole different kind of crazy."

"She had something to do with D being kidnapped. I just know it." Pen said.

"Where keeping tabs on her but she doesn't go but to work, home and the occasional store." Aaron said.

"She's not stupid. She knows the first person we will be looking at his her." Derek said. "Doesn't mean she didn't hire anyone to do it. We just have no clue as to who she hired to help her."

"She couldn't stand D so I know she wouldn't take him." Pen said.

Aaron's phone started ringing and he walked away to answer. He came back a few minutes later.

"We need to go to the police station. A man walked in saying he had information on D."

They walked in to police station and were met by Detective Winters. He showed them into a room and threw the glass they saw a man sitting at the table. He didn't look nervous.

"Does he look familiar?" the detective asked.

"No." they both said.

"Who is he?" Aaron asked.

"All we know right now is his name. Harry Waters." He said. "Would you like to go and interview him with me?"

Aaron nodded and went with the detective. Derek and Pen watched as they opened the door and walked in. they sat down and started the interrogation.

"Please state your name."

"Harry Waters."

"You came in saying you have information on the kidnapping of Derek Anthony Morgan."

"I don't know who took him but I have a feeling. I'm a PI and a friend of mine called and said he had a job for me. I met with a woman and she explained what she wanted me to do, follow this couple. That is what I did. I followed them mostly in the evening and the weekends. I took pictures."

"How did you know who to follow?"

"She gave their names: Penelope Garcia and Derek Morgan."

"What is the name of the woman?"

"She never gave me a name but she paid me in cash."

"Do you usually work for people who don't give you a name?"

"She paid cash so I didn't care.

"Where are the pictures?"

"I gave them to her. She was very mad when she saw them. She crumbled the one of them kissing. I do have another set."

"What did this woman look like?"

"She was tall but not too tall, long brown hair, mocha skin and she was pregnant."

in the room next door, Derek looked at Pen and she went to him.

"Would you recognize her if you saw her again?"

"Oh yeah. I saw the Amber Alert on TV. It's the same baby from the pictures. I recognized him."

"Have you had any other contact with this woman?"

"She called and told me that she didn't need me anymore."

"When was that?"

"Almost a week ago. I will tell you this, there was something off about that woman. There was so much hatred in her eyes. Those people she had me watch seemed like a happy couple that really loved that baby. My first thought when I saw that alert on TV was that she had something to do with it."

A knock sounded on the door and then it opened. An officer came in with something in his hand. He handed them to the detective.

"Is the woman that hired you in one of these pictures?" he laid down six pictures.

"No. She's not here."

He removed those pictures and laid another six down. Aaron watched the closely. The PI gazed roamed the pictures and then he sat up straighter.

"This is her." He pointed to the picture of Savannah. Aaron looked toward the glass and gave a faint nod.

"She had us followed. How did we not know?" Pen whispered.

"I never thought she would do something like this. Why? Why would she do this?"

"Because you moved out and got another place. She had you followed so she could find out where you lived and in the process she found out where Pen lived as well." Aaron said.

"What I don't understand is, why would she take D? what does she want with him?" Pen asked.

"TO her the only reason she doesn't have Derek the way she wants is because of your son. She wants to get rid of him." Penelope let out a sob and fell into Derek's arms.

"Pen, I give you my word that we will find D and bring him home." Aaron said.

"Where are we in the investigation?" Aaron asked his team.

"There is nothing new from canvasing the neighborhood where Fran lives." Emily said.

"There have been some sightings but when they were investigated they didn't lead to anything." JJ said.

"She has help. There is no way that she did this on her own. Where is she hiding him? She doesn't go anywhere?"

"She knows we are watching her." Aaron said. "We can't even bring her in for questioning because we don't have a reason too."

"How are Pen and Derek? Spence asked.

"Derek is holding his emotions in for Pen's sake I believe and Pen well, she's a wreck. After they watched the interview I had Derek take her home. She could barely stand up. He has to give her a sleeping pill at night because all she does is wake up screaming for D."

"It's been three days; I hate to think this but what are the chances that we find him." JJ asked.

"They get slimmer and slimmer. She could have gotten him out of the city by now or even the state." Aaron said.

"You don't think she did anything to him, do you?" Rossi asked.

"I don't know. The PI said there was something off about a her and that was just meeting her a couple of times. He gave us a copy of the pictures he took. You've all seen them."

"There is nothing significant about those pictures. They just show a happy family."

Derek sat in a chair watching Pen sleep, silent tears running down his face. He couldn't help but blame himself for bringing that awful woman into their lives. He often thought about that night he slept with Pen and mentally kicked himself for the way he acted. He always had a vision of what he wanted out of life but while he thought that is what he got, sadly it was the total opposite. Once he held his son in his arms, he wanted his family, he wanted Pen.

Never did he think Savannah would do something like this. Every bone in his body tells him she behind this and working for the BAU, seeing the things he's seen have his blood running cold. His worst fear is that she does something harmful to his son. Pen would never forgive him and he would never forgive himself. His phone started ringing. He went into the other room to answer.

"Morgan."

"Derek, how are you?"

"Not good momma."

"I know that was a stupid question to ask. How is Pen holding up?"

"She's' barely eating. I have to give her a sleeping pill to sleep because all she does is have nightmares."

"I'm so sorry Derek."

"Momma I know you are. You didn't do this on purpose. Pen doesn't think so either but right now she's very emotional and blaming you. I'm waiting for her to start blaming me."

"I would like to go over and see you two."

"I can't guarantee how she will react but the team is coming over around seven with dinner. You can come then."

"We'll be there."

He hung up and heard a scream. He ran into his room and Pen was sitting on the bed crying. He went to the bed and cradled her in the arms.

"Where is he Derek?"

"I don't know baby."

"He needs me. I know he's crying because he can't see me." She sobbed. "What is she doing to him? It's been three days. Please Derek find him, find our son."

She cried harder and he cried with her while they rocked together, both running on emotions, both we the longing for their son.

"Hello."

"What's going on?"

"He finally stopped crying and just lies there. He's barely eating."

"It will be just another day and then he will be gone. You know what you are to do when I give you the call."

"I still don't understand why I have to do it. I just agreed to take the kid and keep him for a few days."

"Because they are watching me. I can't risk it."

"Fine but my fee just went up."

"Fine, you will get it when I know he's is gone. I will call you tomorrow when it's time."

Around ten that night, a woman walked into the police station and went up to the desk. She was nervous.

"Can I help you?"

"I think I'm the one that can help you. I saw an Amber Alert on TV and I have some information that might help you find the missing baby."

Aaron and Rossi watched the woman from behind the glass. Detective Winters had call and told him to get to the police station. They had a woman with information. He didn't tell Derek or Pen about that call. He wanted to see if the info would lead somewhere.

"Your name is Marcie Rienhart, is that correct?"

"Yes."

"And you say that you have information on the missing baby."

"Yes. I met a woman at the clinic I go to. I had lost my baby a few weeks ago and I went in for a checkup. I was in the hallway waiting for the elevator and crying. This woman approached me asking me if I was ok. I told her I was and she kept talking. So I found myself telling her what had happened. We went to a coffee shop where she told me that she had a friend that had a baby that she didn't want and couldn't take care of anymore. She was looking for a family that would take him. I told her I want married or anything but she said it didn't matter. But she didn't say there was on condition."

"What was the condition?"

"That I have to move to another city."

"Did she give you a reason has to why?"

"The mother didn't want to run into the baby." She said. "I understood and I told her to give me a few days to think about it."

"Did she give you a number?"

"She did."

"When did this take place?"

Aaron looked at Rossi. "What do you think?"

"I think she's telling the truth." Rossi said.

"Did you tell her what decision you chose?"

"I did. I called her a week later and told her that I would take the baby and move. I asked about making it legal and she told me that the mother didn't want to do all that."

"Didn't that send any warming signals to you?"

"I did ask what would happen if she changed her mind. She said the mother wouldn't."

"How do you know the baby missing is the baby she was talking about?"

"I saw his picture on the TV and I recognized him. You see she sent me a picture of him." She took her phone and showed him the picture. "He's really an adorable baby. All I could think was why she didn't want him."

"Why did come in?"

"I realized that mother wasn't giving up her baby, she was going to have someone take that baby. She called me a couple of days ago and told me to get my things together because in a couple of days I was going to have the baby I wanted in my arms. She told me where to meet and what time. I agreed and started getting my things together."

"When are you to meet her for the exchange?"

"Tomorrow afternoon. She called me tonight and told me. I knew she had lied to me and I don't want to take a baby away from a mother that wants him."

"You do realize that what you planned to do was illegal."

"I know but I thought I was doing something good."

Det. Winters pulled some pictures from a folder. "Do you recognize the woman in any of these pictures?"

She looked through the pictures until she spotted the one of Savannah. "This is her. This is Melanie."

"Melanie."

"That's her name."

"Her real name is Savannah Morgan."

"Morgan. She's related to the baby."

"We need you to give us the phone number and we are going to put you up into a hotel until we figure out what is our next step."

"I will help in any way I can."

The detective left her alone in the room and went to the room next door. He told Aaron and Dave to follow him to another room. They all sat down.

"How believable is this woman?" Winters asked.

"We believe her and we believe she thought she was helping a child."

"I say we dig into her background and if everything works out then we set it up and make sure she makes the meet. That might be the only way we get the baby. By making sure she shows up. If savannah suspects anything we will lose our chance." Rossi said.

"We have to make sure she goes to that meeting. When the they give her the baby, we arrest her." Aaron said.

They each went their own way to make the arrangements for the following day. Aaron decided not to tell Derek and Pen anything in case something went wrong and they didn't recover their son.
