Chapter 6

Hokuto drove for a while a more before pulling over into a long driveway. Making sure that Chiwa was still asleep, quietly got out of the car and went up to the house, and knocking softly. Before long the door opened, and stepped out his former secretary and care taker.

"You're here, finally, where is Mrs. President?"

"Yeah, she's in the car taking a nap."

"Okay then, I'll leave you two alone now, also don't forget, I've left some things for you under the bed."

"Yeah, ok."

With their brief conversation ended, Hokuto stepped aside and let Souma walk out the door. She bowed, said her goodbye and quickly drove off in her car. Hokuto walked to back to his car towards the passenger side and quietly open the door. For while he just stood there, gazing down at his wife. She seemed so peaceful that he hate having to wake her up, but in the end he gently shook her up, calling out her name.

Chiwa who was having such a wonderful dream was irritated at whoever it was trying to wake her up, but when she opened her eyes to see her husband, the irritation quickly changed to pleasure. She smiled at him and stretched until she realised she was sitting in the car and all the events of today came crashing in her mind and stopped at one thing. It's a surprise.

Her husband had told her that in the waiting room back at the hospital and wouldn't tell her anything else, still hadn't. She opened her mouth and started berating her husband and demanding that he tell her what the surprise was.

"Come on, what is the surprise. Just tell me already." She whined. Hokuto stared at his wife, it was amazing how she'd gone from pleading to demanding to whining like a child, all in a matter of seconds. She hadn't given him a chance to say even a single word at all. He sighed and told her to look around.

When she finally looked around, Chiwa realized that they were parked in the drive-way of a modern looking Victorian house. She was totally confused, as she heard Hokuto say "Surprise" in a very monotone voice. She turned back to her husband and before she could say anything at all, Hokuto grabbed her arm and helped her out of the car, "Come on, let's go inside." After hearing that, Chiwa finally snapped out of her daze.

"Wait a minute Hokuto, what do you mean inside?" she asked him, because she could not come up with one logical reason why they were even here.

"Yeah, I'll explain everything, but first lets go inside" he replied.

As they reached the door Hokuto took out a key from his pocket and sliding it in the door unlocked it, although he didn't actually open the door. He turned towards her and then suddenly picked her up bridal style, "We're going to do this the right way this time." He whispered in her ear. All Chiwa could say in response was a squeaky little "Eh?" Hokuto smiled and finally opened the door.

As Hokuto stepped over the threshold, Chiwa realised this was the traditional 'carrying over threshold' wedding practice they'd never gotten to perform before. She smile at how sweet he was being, and as he walked a little further into the house she gasped taking in the beautiful house. Because the design was open concept, she could see everything, the kitchen, the living room, the dining room. It was all so beautiful, but what really took her breath away was the fact that the whole place was bathed in the light of fake candles.

"After our divorce, I found out that my dad left me this house in his will." Hokuto started speaking, "I was going to sell it at first, but I when I saw it I thought this might be perfect for us after all. You know to live in after we get married again." He looked at her, and Chiwa realized that he'd always meant what he'd said. To come back to her. Over the time that he'd been gone she'd started to have a few doubts, that he wouldn't come back to her, he must have found somebody else, and she was probably just wasting her time waiting for him. But now she realized she wrong to even think about those things, Hokuto may not show it all the time but he did love her, and to top it all of it seemed he'd actually put some real though into their future together.

She leaned up and kissed his cheek and said, "I love it." And it wasn't a lie either, the house was beautiful. Perfect for a family, prefect for starting a new life. As he carried her further into the house and into the main room, Chiwa realised that even though everything in the house screamed money, and gave off a very masculine vibe, which was probably due to his father being a single man and all, with a few right touches the place wouldn't so overbearingly masculine, but will instead start looking like a real family house. A home. Their Home.

Realising that Hokuto had been carrying her for quite a while, Chiwa suggested that he put her down now so that she could explore on her now, but Hokuto being, well Hokuto just shook his head and said "No, you can have a better look in the morning, right now we're going up stairs" and with that he turned around and started climbing the stairs. "Huh, ok that's fine, but you don't have to carry me. I can walk fine on my own you know," trying to get him to put her down on the ground again. No matter how nice it was to have him carry her around like this, she had to admit, she wasn't as light as she might wish she was, and if he kept this up for long she was afraid he was going to break his back or something.

But carry her he did, all the way upstairs and into what she supposed was their room, without even breaking a sweat, Impressive she thought. Just like downstairs, the upstairs was also bathed in fake candle light. The whole damn house was filled with these things, and although she preferred real candles to fakes, she realized that would've been a safety hazard, she thought this day couldn't get any better. Hokuto walked towards the bed, then gently lay Chiwa on the bed.

Hokuto straightened asked "Do you want something to eat or drink?" taking off his suite jacket, noting Souma had left a picnic basket, which knowing her was loaded with delicious food. In response Chiwa smiled and shook her head no, "I'm not really hungry, but you go ahead and eat." Please, at a time like this, food is not really a top priority, Hokuto thought and smiled, walking back to the bed and his wife shaking his no. As he reached his wife, he bend down to her but before their lips could meet, he pulled back and said "I'm not hungry, but are you sure you don't want anything? You didn't really eat much at the reception either." She slowly pulled him until he was lying on top of her, but supporting his weight on his arms so as to not crush her "Nope, I don't have much of an appetite." She told him and before he could say another word, she joined their lips in a passionate kiss.

Hokuto was a little surprised, because Chiwa rarely ever initiated their love making, but quickly returned her kiss with his own. After a while, although forced to pull apart due to lack of oxygen, they didn't stop kissing. As Hokuto moved down to kiss her neck, Chiwa moaned.

"H-hokuto?"

"Hmm"

"Umm, can I…ask you something?"

Hokuto wasn't really in the mood to talk, but still he murmured "sure" and continued his journey down south towards her breasts.

As one of his hands lightly cupped her breast, Chiwa gasped. Damn the man could distract her fast, but she shook her head to clear her thoughts and asked, "W-what were you…asking…the doctor?"

Hokuto, who was barely paying any attention at the moment since his mind wasn't really working properly as Chiwa was currently running her fingers through his hair, simply said, "Wanted to make sure we could still have sex."

He honestly didn't even realize what he'd said until he felt Chiwa stiffen up underneath him. He stopped kissing the creamy slopes above her breasts and picked up his head to look at her. He was about to ask her what was wrong when she said, well more like screeched, "You what!" and pushed him off her so hard he fell on the floor.

Well, he was paying attention now. He tried to remember what he'd said and finally it came to him. Like an idiot he'd told her the truth. "You asked our doctor if we could have sex?" she asked, and it was obvious she was very angry and embarrassed. He didn't blame her either. But damn it, he never would have told her the truth if she hadn't been driving him crazy with all her moaning and running her fingers in his hair. She distracted me, he whined a little, Oh God, how could I tell her the truth?

When he finally snapped out of his self-pity, he realized his wife had been speaking the whole time.

"Hokuto, how could you? What must he be thinking about us right now?" she kept on going, not realizing that her husband hadn't replied to a single thing she'd said up to now.

Hokuto sighed, Well the truth is out now, might as well explain it to her properly, he thought and cleared his throat to get her attention. "Chiwa, stop and let me explain" he said, at which she finally did stop. She turned towards him and glared "fine". "Look, today was our wedding day and I… well I just wanted to make sure everything could go on as planned." He explained, though from the looks of her it wasn't helping him much so he continued, "I didn't want to be not sure and end up doing something that might have hurt you or the baby." Now that did seem to help as she finally stopped shooting him the death glare, and covering her face with her hands, cried "Bu-But Hokuto, that is so embarrassing… What will the man think of us?" Hokuto smiled at how cute she looked all flustered. "Honey, he'll think that it's our wedding night and we'd like to have a little fun tonight, nothing wrong with that," he assured her and himself. I mean, seriously, It IS our wedding night, and he didn't seem offended so it must really be okhe thought and climbed on the bed again.

Gently pulling her hands from her face he said, "Beside, you think you're embarrassed? You weren't even there. I'm the one who did all the asking. I had never felt so awkward." Chiwa laughed, it seemed she was having fun at his expense, but Hokuto didn't mind, At least she isn't angry anymore. "It serves you right too," she said teasing. "Whatever" he said as he slowly wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his embrace.

"Well…" Hokuto heard Chiwa say in a really quiet voice, so quiet that he probably wouldn't have heard her if wasn't practically attached to him. He glanced down to look at her, and saw she was quiet red. Immediately Hokuto loosened his grip on her and started to push her away, "What's wrong? Was I holding you too tight? Was I-" Before he could finish Chiwa grabbed the lapels of his shirt and started shaking her head, "W-hat, um what did he say?" she asked. Realizing she must be asking about the doctor's reaction, "Oh well I thought he might get offended, but he just laughed and said 'it's totally normal and nothing to worry about'" he told her "I mean the man practically gave us his blessing. You know I thought he might-" he stopped abruptly as Chiwa started kissing his neck. He smirked and turned to Chiwa "What are you doing?"

"Well, you know…" Chiwa blushed tomato red and wouldn't meet his eyes, making Hokuto smile. She is so innocent, he thought and waited for her to continue, "You… um you said that he, um gave us his…blessing." Hokuto stared at him in wonder, with every word she said she got even redder. Deciding not to torture her anymore, he kissed her on the lips.

That one gentle kiss turned into another, and another until they were both passionately making out again, hands roaming each other's bodies, trying to reach any skin they could. Breaking off the kiss, Hokuto rolled Chiwa around, so that he could carefully open her dress and take it off her. As pretty as she looked in the dress, he wanted it off her now.

Hokuto pulled the zipper all the way down and kissed her back while raising her a bit in order to pull the dress down. As soon as the dress was completely off her, Hokuto turned Chiwa back around so he could see her front now. "You know-" he started to say, only to stop and blink a couple of times. For a few minutes Hokuto just stared, not able to comprehend what he was seeing, then sighed, because he finally realized his beautiful bride was…asleep.
