House looked up with a smirk when he saw Sophia, but it was quickly replaced with a look of confusion as she stormed in and closed the shades. The smirk came back when she walked over, sat in his lap, and kissed him. He kissed back, of course, and ran his hand up her back. He started to push a hand up the front of her shirt when Wilson came storming in.
"House, I don't know-" he started his usual rant about not knowing how to help Sophia, but at the sight in front of him he froze.
House felt Sophia start to shake with fear on top of him and somehow, even though he knew she had no reason to fear Wilson, it made him angry. Wilson and House both started yelling at the same time.
Sophia practically jumped from House's lap at the sound of his booming voice. She backed up against the wall as the two men got into each other's face, still screaming horrible things at one another. Finally, as always, House pushed things a bit too far. He swung his arm out to gesture in Sophia's direction.
"Look at her! She's afraid of you!"
Wilson looked like a kicked puppy as the realization that House was right washed over him. It took him a moment to recompose himself.
"You're just trying to take advantage. Come on, Sophia, let's go home."
Sophia just nodded timidly.
"So are you! You keep ordering her around because you know she won't say no!"
Wilson just waited for Sophia to walk over to him, then they both walked out. By the time they got in the car, Wilson had calmed down enough to notice that Sophia was still trembling. He sighed.
"I'm sorry I yelled. I just think you should stay away from House. He's clearly just trying to take advantage-"
"I went to him," she interrupted.
Wilson looked surprised for a moment. It did make sense though, her falling back into her self-destructive ways. House was her type, an asshole.
"I think maybe you should see a counselor," Wilson said, trying to keep his voice positive.
She shook her head.
"Well, at least stay with me for a while, ok? You deserve to be treated well for once."
She sighed, "Ok," she finally agreed. Wilson beamed.
"Great! I've got the guest bedroom in my condo set up for you already."
