Jayden

Thats it.

Its over.

Deker is finally free from Urmasa, from a cursed existence.

I killed him.

The sky is beginning to turn pink as I walk towards the Shiba House. Every muscle is strained, each inch of skin has either a bruise or a cut. My civilian clothes are torn and dirtied from the amount of times I had to fight demorphed. Each step forward is an achievement over the fog thats clouded my mind.

I dont know how I ever defeated him. One swing across his chest using up all my remaining energy and his curse was lifted.

With his curse lifted he was able to remember his wife Dayu. Their final goodbye was hard to watch as I couldnt help imagining myself and Emily in those positions.

Dayu didnt look at me after Deker disappeared. She ran into the forrest and through a gap into the Netherworld. Her misery and heartbreak surrounding her in a visible cloud.

Totally alone I began walking back home to my friends, to Emily. I passed out once or twice along the way but several hours later I was standing in front of the door. The next thing I remember is waking up in my bed to the sun set.

Mike

"Jayden, Jayden. Can you hear me?" He's been stirring for a few minutes now and we dont have anymore time to waste to wait for him to wake up by himself.

Jayden slowly opens his eyes and winces from the pain he's in.

"Jayden tell us what happened with Deker." Kevin gets straight to the point earning a slight glare from Mia.

For the next ten minutes Jayden tells us how Deker had Emily captive to lure Jayden to fight, their battle, how Dayu interferred and he freed Emily and told her to return here to the house, how he defeated Deker and how Deker disapated when Jayden delivered the final blow.

"hey Mia hows Emily doing? those rope burns looked pretty bad." Jayden asked

Ji informs Jayden that Emily hasnt come back to the Shiba house then has to push him back onto the bed.

"Ji Let me go! I need to find her!" he argues

"Jayden you need to recover. Tell us where you saw her and we'll go look for her." I offered. He debated for a while until exhaustion took over him.

"There's a clearing in the forest at Dead Man's should be able to see the damage from my fight with Deker'. As he sunk into his bed to sleep Kevin and I looked at each other then went to get Antonio and head for Dead Man's Peak.

20 minutes later we arrive at Dead Man's Peak and have no problem finding evidence of Jayden's battle. There are broken branches, sliced trees, burnt leaves and disturbed dirt everywhere. We all feel somewhat uneasy as we imagine what Jayden must have gone through. We follow the trail through the forest and come across the clearing he mentioned. The damage is even worse. Kevin and Antonio spilt up to look for Emily while I try to reduce some of the damage to the forest.

"KEVIN! MIKE! OVER HERE!" We both run over to where we hope Antonio has found Emily but all thats there is footprints and drag marks heading towards a tree, some scraps of Emily's yellow jacket and a bloody rock. It looks like a struggle has taken place but one thing we know for certain is that Emily never left the forest.

Jayden

Its getting close to 9pm and we havent heard anything from Kevin, Mike or Antonio. I'm now able to get out of bed and sit in the meeting room with Mia while we wait for any news about Emily. No one talks, scared that they talk over a call on a samurizer.

10pm draws closer and I can feel the worry coming off Mia and Ji when the front door opens. Mia and Ji stand up ready to help Emily to the recovery room as I stand waiting impatiently to hold my girlfriend again.

The boys walk into the meeting room with their heads down and a bag over Antonio's shoulder.

"We found the clearing you were talking about and spilt up to find her. Antonio found what direction she went thats where we found her kidnapping sight." Kevin explained. Antonio emptied the bag to reveal the jacket scraps and the bloody rock. I hear Mia starting to cry and run to Kevin as I drop to my knees and grab the scraps of her jacket.

I failed her. I promised to protect her and make sure she was safe and now she's back in the hands of a nighlok. I stare at the yellow fabric in my hands, covered with dirt and blood, and walk around the room, trying to figure out which nighlok could have done this. It was Master Xandred because he cant leave the Netherworld. It cant be any of the past nighloks as they've been destroyed.

"Don't think I am only one who knows of your love for the yellow ranger, and will use it against you." He whispered in my ear so the others couldn't hear.

I stop pacing on the spot as I realise that Deker wasn't teasing me, he was warning me.

"Jayden what is it?" Mentors voice breaks my realisation, turning to look at him I see that the others are looking at me too, with a glimmer of hope in their eyes.

"I know who has Emily"

Mia

It's been 23 hours since Master Xandred kidnapped Emily and 48 hours since she was home. It's amazing how we don't realise the effect someone has on our lives until they are gone.

The boys have been training since she was taken. I hope to relieve some of their stress and anger over Emily being in the hands of our enemy. Although to be honest Mike, Kevin and Antonio are not the one I'm apprehensive to leave alone.

Jayden has healed from his battle with Deker, and now he has a permanent vigil over the gap sensor map, holding the scrap of her jacket in his hand, waiting for any sign of a nighlok and possibly Emily. He doesn't look up, he doesn't say anything, and he doesn't even acknowledge anyone who enters the room. He is totally focused on finding Emily, somehow believing that this is his fault. I know it's not his fault but there's a small part of me that believes if he had done a better job of protecting her then she would be here safe with us instead of a prisoner of Master Xandred's, possibly injured or dead.

Emily

Pain and red are the only things I can feel and see as I start waking up. As my eyes start to focus I can see that I'm in a wooden structure that's rocking. The strangest thing is the red tint to everything.

I notice that there are no artificial lights so the red tint is coming from the sun. Where in the world would the sun be red?

With a heart stopping realisation I see that I wasn't in our world at all, I'm in the netherworld. Now I remember, after escaping from Deker into the forest I came across Octoroo. He must have hit me over the head and bought me to Master Xandreds ship.

"Oh Ah Oh. Look who's finally awake. Master Xandred will be pleased." Speak of the devil…

"What do you want from me?" I try sounding brave but I can hear the fear in my voice.

"Oh Ah Oh. It's not you we want. We want the sealing symbol to create an antidote and we know the red ranger will do anything to protect his precious yellow ranger." Octoroo explained

"You leave Jayden alone!" I try to reach forward but my hands are handcuffed and a chain holds me to a pillar.

"Don't worry yellow. You'll see your dear red ranger again soon." Dayu stepped out from the shadows behind me but her voice didn't contain the usual malice it did before. Now he sounds heartbroken. The same way I would feel if Deker defeated Jayden. Then I'm left alone, hoping that the others have realised I've been kidnapped.

Several hours later two moogers entered the room and undid the chain around the pillar but my hands are still hand cuffed together. They push me off the boat into a gap and land in the forest on the outskirt of the city.

I hope the others will find out where I am soon.
