The Games We Play

Chapter 8

I don't own anything

Sesshomaru stepped closer and set the remote down. He slowly walked toward the window overlooking the large green lawn.

"Tell me it's a lie." Kagome wished she had the bravery to raise her voice but her mind was achingly blank. Say something! Her mind screamed. He can't do this!

Sesshomaru just kept staring out of that damn window.

"No."

Her lip trembled. How was he so calm? How long had he been planning this?

"As we speak the maids are gathering your belongings. There is a car out front that will take you to your family. When the paperwork is ready I will have someone send them over. After that I don't want to see again."

Kagome crossed the room and grabbed his arm.

"We. Are. Married. When we entered this marriage we promised each other forever. How could you?! You've cheated on me, you've allowed me to become a joke to the public, and now you're leaving me? What am I going to do? I've lost my little boy now I'm going to lose you!" Kagome started to horribly sob. "I can't! I can't! I love you so much."

Sesshomaru shook her off and snarled in her tearful face.

"Don't talk about him. Ever! You didn't deserve him. He never had a chance to take a breath of life. You failed to give me an heir! I have no use for you."

His voice was ragged and his eyes shone with deep seated rage.

Hate, Kagome thought numbly. He hates me.

Sesshomaru crossed the room and opened the door.

"You have an hour to leave before are escorted out by force."
