This is a Jasper/OC story, but it's going have a bit of other lovin' from other characters. It involves both the Harry Potter world and Twilight. This is just the first part of her story.

There will be topics of abuse, anxiety, and depression.

The quote in the summary is from Little Trip to Heaven (On the Wings of Your Love) by Tom Waits. I have no rights to the quote. I do not own or have rights to anyone from the Harry Potter or Twilight universe.

Hey! Next chapter. Bravo to me for actually writing this. Sorry for the wait. I'm delaying writing a paper for school. This is form Jasper's POV. I'm not sure if I will switch off every other chapter or not. Only time will tell.

I sat in the passenger's seat as Alice drove us to our new house in the Borough of Islington, London, England. The glum, rainy town was perfect for our kind; the over cast providing the cover that we need not to glitter like a fairy. It had been time for us to move again, before people were started to catch on to that we never aged. I had only been with the Cullens since 1948 but we had already moved from place to place multiple times to maintain our secrecy. Carlisle had suggested England, which his wife Esme quickly agreed too. The rest of us had no objections. The coven packed up and followed right behind, to Islington, which seemed like it never saw sun, only rain.

The house was across the street from a line of row homes, a sprawling Victorian house with a long driveway. I could already see touches of Esme in the house, just from the outside. It was not completely hidden from view like most of the houses the Cullen Coven owned, usually to allow us to act more like ourselves. We would have to be a bit more careful, but the trees on the property gave us a little extra protection

We all entered the house curiously, all but Alice who went straight to her chosen room, having already foresaw which room was hers, to start unpacking clothing. The house had even more touches of Esme inside, homey and warm. The windows were heavily curtained, not that it mattered much with the rain clouds. I could see a piano off in the back corner of the house, most likely for Edward. The was a large window along the back of the house opened up to fenced in backyard, too tall and too thick for any humans see through.

My room was the one farther down the hall, facing the front yard. There was one window, obscured slightly by a tree but allowed me to watch the street in front of us. It was simple room, with towering bookcases covering the walls waiting to be filled to the brim. My boxes sat waiting to be unloaded by the chase lounge which was tucked into the corner, the only cutout in the shelving. There was a simple stereo across the room, under the window. The shelving was white, but the walls behind it was a warm, light brown. The lounge was a beige with red and brown pillows.

I unpacked my boxes that awaited me, adding my person touches to the room that already seemed to fit me. Esme had done a good job. I settled down onto the lounge, listening the soft murmurs of chatter and footsteps around the house. Flopping down onto the lounge I grabbed the closest book to me, cracking it open to the first page before getting lost in it.

I did not emerge from my reading until I smelled something out of place. My breathing shut itself down at the first whiff of that rusty, sweet tang that ran through the veins of humans. I heard two heartbeats, fluttering fast in their little cages, and detected two new auras. One was happy, extremely so, while the other was wary. I listened as Carlisle greeted the two humans, Desdemona and Sirius. What strange names. It was obvious Carlisle knew the girl, and obvious that that the girl knew about us. Did they know we were vampires? He invited both of them inside and the girl, Desdemona, immediately greeted Esme like an old friend.

I listened closely to the conversation as a walked into the hallway and down the stairs, closely followed by my brothers and sisters.

"Who is it Edward?" I asked him, knowing Edward could gather information using his gift.

"I… I don't know. There some sort of wall, it hurts to get through," he said, his eyebrows scrunched in concentration. "The boy is easier to read, the other, I can't get a reading. I can feel her mind but I can't actually read it. They're friends, cousins. Very close. The girl has known Carlisle for a while. They're...magical?"

"Magical? As in supernatural?" Rosalie asked, her beautiful face skewed in confusion. "Or magicians?"

"Can you see them Alice?" Emmett asked the petite psychic.

"Sort of. Like Edward, the boy is easier to see. The girl I can't see anything…" she trailed off with a gasp. Edward's head whipped to her as he watched whatever was going on in her mind.

"She can't see you either Jasper," he told us. "You disappeared."

"What do you mean?" I was shocked. Why would I have suddenly disappeared from her vision? She had always been able to see me. She was the one who had found me in Pennsylvania.

Rosalie quickly grew protective, angered at the thought. "It must be the girl."

"How would a human harm me?" I bit out.

"Hold on," Emmett said, grasping his mate's arm. "Before we do anything rash."

"Emmett is right," Alice agreed. "Carlisle and Esme know her she can't be bad."

"She's not a danger," Edward muttered, his face looked stunned at whatever mind he was currently reading.

He hurried down the steps and we fell in line behind him, unsure what was going through his mind at the moment. We walked slowly, like humans would, in case the two actual humans didn't know of our true nature. There in the middle our new living area, were in fact two humans, seemingly comfortable. The male was tall, long black hair curling slightly around his shoulders. His face was fair, but handsome by human standards. He pale grey eyes were haunting, guarded as he took us in. It wasn't because he was scared of his, his emotions showed nothing of the sort, but because he did not know who we were. He was just very untrusting of us.

I focused on his companion, the girl that Esme and Carlisle were familiar with. Everything seemed to fade as I took in her beauty. Her skin was creamy, but paler and smoother than any I had ever seen before. Four long scratches marred her cheeks but that was the only flaw I could see on her perfect face. Her eyes were a stunning shade of blue, reminding me of the fields of cornflowers that used to grow behind my barn from my human days. Her hair was blue as well, not shockingly blue but soft, calm even. Although unnatural, it seemed to fit her. It fell all the way to her slim hips, soft waves that I wanted to run my fingers through again and again. She was Alice's height, petite without an ounce of fat on her. She may have been even too skinny Her cheeks were slim, highlighting her strong cheekbones. She looked so fragile, so dainty, like the wind could blow her right away.

I was thankful there was no wind not only because she would not blow away and I could stare at her all I wanted, but it did not blow her scent around. I cut my breathing off as I caught her scent. Anymore of it, would have driven me to kill her. Her blood was enticing, smelling like the sweetest nectar I had ever come across. Rich and almost unbearably sweet, it caused venom to pool inside my mouth. My hands clenched at my side as I steeled myself against moving, against breathing. I wondered if this was like the mouthwatering scent that had caused Emmett to fall off the band wagon twice in years prior. How could someone smell so good? If it was not for the smell of cigarettes that barely hid her scent, there would be no way she'd still be alive.

I saw Edward give me a concerned look, obviously hearing my struggle over her blood in my mind. Besides wanting to taste the candy within her veins, something else stopped me. Perhaps her beauty that stunned me into controlling myself or the wonder of who this young lady actually was. I was certainly drawn to the tiny, beautiful creature, there was no doubt.

"Ah! Here they are," Carlisle said, gesturing to us. "Everyone, I would like for you to meet Desdemona and Sirius Black. Des, Sirius, I would like you to meet the rest of my family. This is Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice and Jasper."

"It's really nice to meet all of you," the little beauty said, her voice soft and shy.

"How do you know Carlisle and Esme?" Rose asked, cutting straight to the point.

"Rose!" Esme scolded.

"What?" she asked. "Isn't something that we all are wondering?"

"It is okay, Esme. Of course they're going to be curious as to why you know such a human as myself," Des cutting, smiling at the older woman before looking to rest of us. "I met Carlisle and Esme when I was four and in need of place to stay for the night. They took me in without hesitation."

I felt as Rose's anger and distrust toward the girl lessened until they were nonexistence. "Why would a four year old…"

Des looked at shoes, fidgeting, obviously embarrassed. She cleared her throat before looking back at us. "Um, my parents aren't my biggest fans so to say."

"That's putting it lightly, Des," Sirius scoffed. "Our families are a bit fanatical about passing on the family name. Des can't do that so they've hated her since she was born. Have yet to treat her as a part of the family."

"They aren't the nicest," she admitted. "Been to hell and back with them."

"Why are you still with them?" I whispered, the pain filling me at the thought of being surrounded by such hatred consuming me. I felt the pain and sadness slowly creep through her calm, happy exterior.

She blushed. "It's nothing I cannot handle."

I felt as the room grew tense.

"Why didn't you take care of this?" Edward glare settled on Carlisle. Edward was very much about clearing the world of the worst of the society, getting rid of those who caused harm to the innocent.

"Edward-"

"They couldn't do anything," Sirius cut in, protectively drawing Des into his side, whose heart had started to race as her anxiety increased. It lessened as she leaned into his side. I wondered if they were together. "They couldn't do anything without facing our Ministry."

Emmett scoffed. "Humans really don't stand a chance against -oof!" He didn't finish as Rose smacked him. "'What the hell, Rose?"

"We know that you are not humans," Des said. "Since we know your secret, you can know ours. We are not quite humans either. I am a witch and Sirius here is a wizard."

The shock was evident between all of us. "You exist?"

"You exist, don't you?" Sirius replied. "Almost everything exists, any lore imagined exists."

"We know of other lore," Edward replied. "Shapeshifters, werewolves. I just don't believe we have met a witch or wizard."

"We tend to keep to ourselves. We are not allowed to tell people about our existence," Des explained. "We won't get in trouble for telling you however."

"So that's why you are perfectly at ease with vampires? You confront things like us often?" I asked, curious as to why anyone would step into a house full of vampires.

Sirius nodded. "Exactly. Not vampires so to say, but we have studied them and I am pretty sure our third year Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher was a vampire."

"She wasn't a vampire, Padfoot," Des corrected her friend.

"You never believed it but she was definitely eyeing up James' throat and she hated Remus," Sirius rebutted. "Speaking of the two, they are going to be waiting for us…"

She nodded. "Right, right, of course." She turned her attention back to our family. "We have friends waiting for us down in town. It really was a pleasure meeting you all!"

"It was ours!" Alice chirped, happy at the prospect of a new friend. She swooped in quickly to give the girl a hug.

"You and your friends should come to dinner soon, darling," Esme said as she brought the blue haired girl into a hug. I watched amazed as she embraced our pseudo mother with such ease. She truly was not afraid.

"I'm all for new experiences but blood for dinner is a little out of my comfort zone!" Sirius joked. "I like my meat cooked."

"Our taste differs then," Emmett said laughing. I laughed too, it wasn't often a human joked over our kind. Mostly they ran in fear.

Desdemona rolled her eyes at her friend, reprimanding him with a quick "Be nice!" to which he just grinned at.

"I would love the chance to cook. Nothing would make me happier than actual taste tester," Esme replied.

"We would love dinner, Esme!" Sirius responded for himself and Desdemona

"Come Friday then," Carlisle told the pair, as he brought Desdemona into his side. "It was good to see you again. In almost perfect health."

"It was good to see you too, Carlisle!" she replied, happily hugging the blonde back.

She stepped back into her friend's side, which I was growing exceedingly jealous of. Her blue eyes flickered to mine, I watched has breath paused for a second and her heart flutter a little faster. Blood rose to her cheeks as I smiled at her. "Again it was a pleasure."

"Pleasure was all ours Desdemona," I replied, liking the way her name rolled off my tongue.

"Des, please," she corrected, smiling wide at me, the blush still evident on her cheeks.

"Des it is." I liked that even more.
